Negative experience: If you are a nervous driver, I do not recommend her, you will lose confidence to get back onto the road. Nalia is very knowledgeable, clearly the skills are there, but she is a very impatient, high strung individual and struggles to communicate effectively. She yells, screams, fusses, to the point it's like having a family member teach you rather than an instructor. It made me rethink what I was paying her for. I understand that road safety is important and these concepts have to be drilled into a student, but the yelling was just not an effective teaching method for me. She also falls into the trap of most driving instructors, there are a lot of times where she is on the phone dealing with personal matters while teaching as well. I don't blame her and I think she means well, but she basically fits into the standard of most driving instructors globally, they are not very good teachers, because the profession is very unregulated. For me, I went on to get another instructor who didn't talk as much or yell ever, just pure instruction, minimal small talk, and that ended up working out much better for me.

Negative experience: Very SUB STANDARD customer service. Even though I was eligible for a refund, their response at first was that the payment was non-refundable. Thankfully, my payment was within the refund period and I got the refund. Their attitude is so wrong…!!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone Nalia’s Driving School! I really doubt the 5 star reviews posted here!!! Adding more info after the driving school’s response: Just like before, I knew you wouldn’t take responsibility for your attitude towards customers…always finding excuses and blaming it on me by saying that it’s my misunderstanding. WOW! The so-called owner’s response was that the employee panicked when I asked for a refund which was why she said there would be no refund!!! What a lame excuse! Also, I was available on weekends and on weekdays after 6 but their availability didn’t seem to match my availability, which was why I asked for a refund in the first place. The employees response was ““You’re the one who isn’t available, not me””. Attaching a screenshot of my chat with the Driving school so everyone would know their attitude!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Marwa Hassaan, and I highly recommend her! I booked a 1-hour class with Marwa three days before my G road test, which gave me the confidence I needed. On the test day, we had another 1-hour session right before my exam to review everything and go over final tips. I also borrowed their car for the test, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Marwa was incredible—she helped me break some bad habits, like taking my hands off the steering wheel and not checking every intersection thoroughly. Thanks to her patient and detailed instruction, I passed the test on my first try and now have my full G license! If you’re looking for a professional and supportive instructor, Marwa is fantastic!

Negative experience: Your instructor was just seen driving almost 70km/h (according to the speedometer on the side of the road) in a 50km/h zone on Perth St in Richmond, and then tailgated another vehicle in the left lane all the way out of town. Not a great look for a 'driving school'.

Negative experience: 5 stars for yelling at me—just the motivation I needed! 5 stars for being judgmental when I mentioned I had no driving experience—because that's super helpful. Another 5 stars for blaming me for not informing her ahead of time when I booked my road test *three months* in advance (despite clearly telling her and even emailing, but I guess she forgot or didn’t bother taking notes). In the beginning, my classes were repeatedly canceled by her due to various reasons, and then she couldn't accommodate me because she was overbooked. Oh, and those crucial parking and three-point turn maneuvers? We barely touched on them—maybe once or twice in 10 hours. During my evaluation, she even mentioned that if I might not pass the BDE course and then I’d have to retake the entire BDE course. How reassuring. By the way, I passed my test on the first try with another instructor after just a few classes. Turns out, patience works better than shouting. Who knew? I enrolled in Nalia’s Driving School based on the 4.9 out of 5 stars, but it was a huge mistake.

Fantastic experience: I live in Ottawa and took driving lessons from Naila before my G2 road test. I only spent a few hours with her to polish my driving skills but in that short time, Naila did an incredible job in ensuring I learned the proper way to do parallel parking, three point turns, better turning, uphill and downhill parking and more. She was always on time, picked me up right from my apartment, and spent the full hour or more during each class. Whenever I asked the same thing multiple times, she never grew impatient but showed me as many times as needed. Her little tips and tricks got me through G2 exam on my first try! So very grateful to her! I am looking forward to going back to her for my G preparation as well on the big highways.

Fantastic experience: I purchased the beginner driving education package which includes 20 hours online instruction, 10 hours coursework, and 10 hours in car instruction. I found immense value in the instruction, and the customer service was excellent. Nalia was very friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional. She cares a lot for her students success, and is extremely knowledgeable about safety in the car. I feel much more prepared to take my G2 test, and would definitely recommend this drivers course or private driving lessons, to any new driver, or anyone looking to advance their driving abilities. I will be requesting her services again in the future before I take my G test! Update: I hired Marwa Hassaan, for one hour if instruction before my driver's test. I was also able to use a Nalias Driving School vehicle. She was patient, kind, informative and gave me very useful tips. We went through both of the routes that I might have driven through during the test, and she told me exactly what I could expect. I have recently moved to Canada so I needed help to prepare for the G test to switch my foreign license over to Ontario. With Nalia's help I aced it on my first try! Nalia is such a kind person, pays a lot of attention to detail and gave me a lot of tips on small details that would’ve never crossed my mind otherwise. I loved her methods and way of teaching and she’s a fun person overall. The classes helped me to feel much more confident for my test but they were also great for helping me to become a safe driver in general by brushing off old some habits that I’ve developed over my 4+ years of previous driving experience.

The instructor assigned to me (Mr. Omar) was patient and helped me overcome my fears and also pointed out my weak points to work on. I decided to sign up for Nalia's driving lessons in order to simply get support with the car in the exam. So, before our first class with Nalia I was expecting that it would rather be a formality and I would hardly find any useful tips at the driving lessons. But I was wrong - Nalia showed me a huge set of important details one should pay attention to, not only during the exam but during the day-to-day driving. Nalia's driving lessons were above my expectations. L'instructrice Nahla est une vraie passionnée, et la réussite de ses candidats lui tient vraiment à coeur, trés flexible, sérieuse, et efficace. Les astuces qu'elle m'a montrées pour faire les manoeuvres du test G2 (parrallel parking/ 3 points turn / pullover / up hill & down hill) sont trés précises et faciles à retenir. Le nombre d'heures de cours est adapté en fonction de l'expérience de conduite du candidat et son besoin réel de perfectionnement (ni plus ni moins). Bref je la recommande fortement pour toute personne souhaitant réussir ses tests de conduite du premier coup et surtout être un conducteur sécuritaire.
