I had some driving experience in my home country, but it was definitely a good idea taking driving lessons. Sami provided me really valuable tips that I still use while driving. Fantastic experience: I got my driving license with help of Sam from Greater Victoria Driving School. I have 20 years driving experience in my country but it wasn't easy to pass the road test at all until I got few classes with Sam! my small advice for newcomers is take at least 5 hours training sessions with Sam. His lessons are a total simulation of the original ICBC road test and he may advice you about any mistake that will cause you a failure. Just keep your confidence and don't loose your morale if you failed several time like me!

Positive experience: Passed my test using the hour before + car on the test option. The mirrors for the car was great and my instructor Sami told me some good tips and took me down the streets the test mostly took me down. Sami also gave me a little pep talk before starting the test which was quite nice and calmed my nerves. A little confusing with the 3 turn signals when parking though as I have never heard that or seen it in the manual but otherwise it was pretty good and I would recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: I wasn’t very confident behind the wheel before having Sam as an instructor. He taught me pretty much everything I know about driving and broke a lot of my bad habits. I didn’t pass my first test in another city when I was with a different driving school, but as soon as I came back to Victoria with Sam’s help I passed my road test with 0 demerits and felt so confident. In addition to helping me with many details, he also gave me some tips to be more relaxed. I was too nervous, but with his support and mock test, I got more confidence to retake the test. I asked him to help me prepare for the class 5 test as I’m an anxious test taker, and he gave me some really good tips and tricks that helped me past the test! He also helped boost my confidence. He took me on lots of different routes commonly used by Icbc and we practiced merging on the highway, switching lanes, parking and going through potential questions driving instructor might ask during the test! Fantastic experience: Sami was absolutely AMAZING!! I had booked the road test package with him, which included a one hour lesson & the car on the test. It was my first time meeting him and taking lessons in general and I was blown away with how much knowledge he was able to give me within an hour time span! He took me all around the area of the test centre, and had me complete all the maneuvers they required on the test, and gave me clear and in depth feedback on what was needing improvement. Fantastic experience: I booked a 90-minute lesson with Sami, and in that time we drove through probably all the roads and intersection that could possibly be on the road test. I learned a lot. He's got a calm way of explaining things, so it's easy to remember them. He also asked about the correct approach in situations we hadn't encountered, but could happen on the road test. I also booked his car for the test itself, and I'm glad I did so. The car is user-friendly, small, and has amazing mirrors for easy parking. All in all, I felt well-prepared, and I'm grateful for Sami's help.

Fantastic experience: My experience learning from Sami was really good. He truly cares about students and wants to help them learn. He's really good at showing you the important things when you're driving, and you learn a lot in each practice. I'm an international student with quite a bit of driving experience, but in a different country with slightly different rules. I think Sami did a great job getting me ready for the ICBC road test. I had a few lessons with another teacher before Sami, but it was slow. With Sami, he gets you ready for the test in just one or two sessions.
