Fantastic experience: I walked into this driving school and was afraid of how things would go because I had no idea since I was new to Canada... but what I will say is that it was one of the best beginnings and ends. I met instructors measuring diamonds like Potvin Gille, Voudreuille, and Ramsey Gino. They were not just driving instructors, they were our friends. Every time I walked into the school, I saw their smiling faces, the warm welcome, and their beautiful laughter. It's nice that the world still has such good people. I also thank the teachers who communicated with us at a distance for the theoretical classes. The only thing I didn't like was that we weren't allowed to make many appointments by phone. But what really saved me were the appointments made through the school's website; otherwise, I wouldn't have finished on time. Greetings to all our dear instructors ❤️

Negative experience: Don't take Tecnic! Indeed, Tecnic only provides a minimum number of hours per month to each student, and their schedules are always full, even at the beginning of the month. When the student calls to get more hours in their schedule, they are never answered politely. Additionally, they are suggested to pay to have access to the schedules of other Tecnic locations. You can check the reviews on Google for all Tecnic locations. The problem is widespread and other issues are being raised. Fortunately, my daughter managed to finish by paying the infamous $115 to get access to the available hours at all Tecnic because she was missing one hour of class before taking her exam at the SAAQ. All this after trying for several months to get class hours without success. Now that she has her driver's license, I dare to say it publicly: Tecnic is a driving school that takes on too many students for its capacity to provide lessons! Its service is mediocre. One star is already too much for this school!

Regarding the 8% of dissatisfaction, we take the time not only to respond to all our Google reviews but also invite our clients to reach out to us in order to address these dissatisfactions, and a high percentage of our clients from this 8% modify their Google review to positive or delete it once we have addressed their concerns. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send a message to our customer service team at [email protected] to inform them of all the details. Please specify the name of the registered person, their school of enrollment, and how we can reach you even if your daughter has completed her courses with us. Negative experience: Really ordinary to pay transfer fees of more than $50 after moving to another area and after having asked TWICE if there was any information to know and how it works to transfer your file to another branch (the answer was the same both times; just notify us by phone and we will transfer your file to the other branch) NO mention anywhere in the contract and on the website, I would be very curious to know if this is legal to do! In short, don’t go with Tecnico, they are thieves, there are always hidden fees! UPDATE: in addition, they made a mistake in my transfer and are asking me to pay more transfer fees and the transfer will only be complete once the fees are paid! Laughing at people with no common sense.
Hello Marie-michelle, We are sorry that you did not have a good experience at our branch. We contacted you on September 4th and again today to address your dissatisfaction. A follow-up will be made regarding the missing information during your call on June 25th, where we unfortunately failed to inform you about the transfer fee from one Tecnic Division to another. Thank you for bringing this to our attention; this is how we can improve our customer service. Regarding this transfer fee, we are legally allowed to request it at the time you made this request on September 3rd, as we must process each client’s files and relay all the information from your file to the desired Tecnic Division according to the SAAQ training system rules, which all driving schools in Quebec must follow. When we contacted you to proceed with the external transfer in question, we asked you to pay an amount due of $17.35, which you owed us due to the courses you attended. So this is not a second transfer fee but rather an amount owed. We hope that our client contacts with you have helped in understanding our functioning of an external transfer from one Tecnic driving school to another despite your dissatisfaction. We wish you good progress.
Negative experience: Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened, but I showed up in person again and the place was closed, even though the hours on Google said otherwise AND even though I called to confirm before heading out. When I called, the person confirmed that the hours on Google were correct. Because this is not the first time, I asked her to give me the number directly for this Tecnic and she told me she didn't have it and that she couldn't call them herself. Nice haywire company. I say this not just for this story, I have a nice batch of problems with them!! :(

Negative experience: A school with several administrative issues and a chronic lack of availability. There are good instructors, but some barely teach 45 minutes during a 1-hour class and give very little feedback. One has to wait weeks, sometimes months, between outings. The online booking system does not actually work, and we need to call almost every day hoping to find availability. The administration has also made several mistakes in my file, including having wrong personal information that was not corrected after several attempts. After requesting a transfer to another Tecnic branch, the administration transferred my file to the wrong branch and called several times trying to discourage me from transferring. Generally, one has the impression of being held hostage by the school.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at my driving lesson number 9, I was fortunate to go through several instructors where everything went perfectly well, but especially with Nadine who shares a lot of knowledge and comfort with me during my driving hours. Negative experience: WARNING TO GIRLS: Please, I warn you and take my comment into account. I had a driver named Gino who, at our first meeting, made me feel like an object literally. He called me names that NO educator should say to students. He asked me personal information about my s*xual life. He surely thought I was someone he could walk all over, but no. I had to repeat to him three times that I did not want to be called 'kitten' or 'my little heart,' and that he did not need to touch me every time we had to turn left or right. He then closed up due to the way he was spoken to and decided to end my lesson after ONLY 25 minutes of driving. The next day, I called Technic explaining what had happened and that I refused to be with him for the next lessons (they told me this would be noted in my file). 2-3 weeks later, I rescheduled my next lesson, until the evening before I noticed that they had scheduled me again with him. So, I called before closing to express my dissatisfaction, and they told me that if I cancel, I would incur fees. Given that Technic in St. Foy rarely has availability before a month, I still went. He recognized me and told me that this lesson would only be 30 minutes because he didn't like the way I spoke to him last time. After 10 minutes, he made me go back to the Technic parking lot, telling me 'that's nice, it's finished.' So, I took out my phone to record and I repeated to him that I had only been driving for 10 minutes and that he had clearly said it would be 30 minutes and not 1 hour as supposed. He then saw that I was filming and said, 'oh yes, sorry, I just wanted to make a little joke,' yet he had the tablet in his hands ready to do the end evaluation. So if you are a shy girl who wouldn't feel comfortable correcting him if he acts this way or another, please justify it to the receptionist at EVERY appointment you make :) With that, good luck to you girls and report it if you have had the same experience. I had to pay extra to access other branches in Quebec to make sure I NEVER see him again.

Negative experience: Même si j'ai fait mes cours de moto avec Tecnic au saguenay, l'école Tecnic de Québec ne veut pas me donner accès au cours de pratique à l’examen routier en moto (groupe de 3 élèves) car ils mentionnent que "je n'ai pas de dossier avec eux". Absolument pitoyable.

En effet, nous n'offrons pas de pratique d'examen avec 3 élèves aux clients n'ayant pas suivis de cours dans notre division de Québec pour des raisons de sécurité. Cependant, nous offrons une alternative positive qui est le cours privé dans lequel vous êtes seul avec le moniteur. Ce cours est aussi une pratique d'examen que ça soit en circuit fermé ou sur route, il s'adapte à votre demande. Ce dernier est offert à tous les élèves qui ont fait leurs cours dans des écoles autres que Tecnic Québec et Lévis ou même des écoles concurrentes. Nous serions ravis de résoudre ce problème le plus rapidement possible et de trouver une solution qui vous convient. Fantastic experience: Mon expérience de conduite avec l'instructeur a été tout simplement incroyable. Dès le premier jour, j'ai été accueilli avec chaleur et professionnalisme. L'instructeur était extrêmement compétent et passionné par son métier, ce qui a rendu chaque leçon enrichissante et captivante. Dès le début, l'instructeur a su évaluer mes compétences et comprendre mes besoins spécifiques en matière d'apprentissage. Grâce à sa patience et à sa capacité à expliquer les choses de manière claire et concise, j'ai rapidement gagné en confiance au volant. Les leçons de conduite étaient bien structurées, avec une combinaison d'exercices pratiques et de discussions théoriques. L'instructeur prenait le temps de répondre à toutes mes questions et de me donner des conseils précieux pour améliorer ma technique de conduite. Ce qui m'a vraiment impressionné, c'est l'approche personnalisée de l'instructeur. Il s'adaptait à mon rythme d'apprentissage et trouvait constamment des moyens créatifs de me motiver. Il a également été très attentif à mes progrès et a su célébrer mes réussites, ce qui m'a encouragé à donner le meilleur de moi-même. En plus de son expertise technique, l'instructeur avait une excellente attitude, toujours amical et encourageant. Il a créé une atmosphère détendue et sans jugement, ce qui m'a permis de me sentir à l'aise même dans les situations les plus stressantes. Grâce à l'instructeur, j'ai acquis une solide base de compétences en conduite et une confiance en moi que je n'aurais jamais cru possible. Je suis désormais prêt à affronter la route en toute sécurité et avec sérénité. Je ne saurais trop recommander l'instructeur à quiconque souhaite apprendre à conduire. Son professionnalisme, sa passion et son approche personnalisée en font un choix exceptionnel. Si vous recherchez une expérience de conduite inoubliable et gratifiante, ne cherchez pas plus loin, car vous avez trouvé l'instructeur parfait.

Negative experience: Le problème n'est pas la qualité des enseignants, mais si vous voulez que votre ado termine ses cours de conduite à 21 ans, c'est la place! Réserver un cours pratiques, c'est comme gagner à la loterie.

Negative experience: J'ai eu pour mon cours 2 avec Abdulai, ça ne s'est vraiment pas passé comme je m'y attendais. Il n'a pas parlé (donner des bon conseils) tout le long que je conduisais, il semblait très froid et à la fin il m'a découragé en me donnant uniquement des jaunes et des rouges, ce qui selon moi était particulièrement sévère, puisque j'étais seulement à mon cours 2. En bref, j'ai eu une expérience très peu pédagogique.

Negative experience: Je donne très très rarement mon avis sur google, d’abord de toute ma vie je n’ai jamais vu une école de conduite autant pas fiable tout est ridicule de a à z, l’obtention du permis est juste impossible avec cette école tout est long et sans parler des cours les réservations en ligne c’est pratiquement impossible il suffit de tout le temps les appeler, ce ne s’arrête pas là puisque même lorsqu’on les appelle il y a seulement 0,01% de chance qu’ils répondent. Pire expérience au monde. Ça ne mérite même pas une seule étoile si je pouvais j’en mettrais même pas.

Fantastic experience: If you want to learn how to drive ask for Nadine. She´s a super cool instructor that gives u precious feedback which would not only help you learn to drive but also pass the exam. She also challenges you and establishes real life situations where u get to be aware of all of the environment and passengers. I do recommend her course. I want also to mention that i like the method of Ramsay Gino he´s another very experienced instructor that i do recommend. Both of them will give u what u need designed for u and only u.

Fantastic experience: Les cours avec Nadine était vraiment le fun et très instructif quand il s’en vient à la préparation pour l’examen de la SAAQ. Nadine est aussi capable d’expliquer nos erreurs en étant calm et en nous mettant en confiance sur la route.
