Oshawa Driving School

Expérience négative: Horrible driving school. My instructor was rude and extremely unhelpful. Every time I asked for help, I was met with criticism, which only made me more nervous about driving. I ended up almost crashes during a lesson because I didn’t know how to turn left properly, and instead of being supportive, the instructor told me to stop asking ‘stupid questions.’ I was already scared and just trying to learn, but this experience only made me more anxious. I would not recommend this school to anyone

Expérience négative: Ian was my driving instructor back in 2015. While the in-class lessons went well, there were times when Ian was rude and overly familiar. He criticized my parents' driving abilities and vehicles. He also liked to joke about not getting distracted by hot boys and asked if I had a boyfriend, saying he could help me meet one of his students. During my last lesson, when I was accelerating to get on the highway, he pressed his hand on my mid-thigh because he wanted me to go faster. Still, the in-class instructor said the driving instructor would only touch us by pressing down on our knees to prompt us to accelerate. I'm not saying Ian was necessarily being maliciously inappropriate, but all those things made me uncomfortable. Otherwise, he was calm and taught me relatively well, so I thought I was being oversensitive. But reading reviews about instructors from this school being disrespectful to students more recently made me regret not writing this sooner. I wanted to share my experience, even though it was a long time ago.

Expérience négative: The driving instructor named Gary absolutely demeaned both my younger siblings when they had him. He needs to keep his personal opinions to himself rather then commenting things like “you won’t get your drivers license living here ” “your parents don’t know how follow the rules ” proceeded to go through a stop sign and speeding over speed bumps, as young kids trying to lean this is unacceptable for someone who’s been doing this for “too long ” “I should be retired” I’d like to give a shout out to Nancy and Paul for there patience, help and understanding for fixing this situation!

Expérience fantastique: Incredible in-class and in-car instructors. I was able to pass my G2 Exam on the 1st attempt after completing the driver’s ed course. I highly recommend Oshawa Driving School.
