Expérience fantastique: Personnellement j’ai vraiment adoré Faissal et la réceptionniste. Ils sont drôles aimables et vont t’aider le plus qu’ils le peuvent. J’ai aimé Tecnic Saint-Laurent, c’était proche de mon cégep en plus. Situé dans un bon quartier pour se pratiquer, bref j’ai aimé mon expérience et apprentissage.

Expérience fantastique: Très satisfait du service à la clientèle! La réceptionniste (Caroline) a répondu à mes soucis de façon très accueillante et enthousiaste.

Expérience fantastique: J'ai été intimidé pendant si longtemps pour obtenir mon permis et je n'avais aucune idée de la façon dont le processus allait se dérouler. Une fois arrivé à l'école, j'ai reçu toutes les informations qui m'ont permis de ne plus avoir de stress. Grâce au personnel et aux instructeurs incroyables, je suis maintenant très proche d'obtenir mon permis. Je recommanderais vivement cette école.

Expérience négative: Je n'ai pas terminé mon cours parce que l'instructeur a littéralement pris ma nervosité en conduisant pour de la peur et a dit 'Oh, tu penses que je vais te frapper ?' comme s'il n'avait pas déjà refusé de mettre sa ceinture de sécurité et qu'il était sur son téléphone tout le temps. J'ai informé la secrétaire juste après et ils ont proposé un remboursement ; cependant, le remboursement n'est jamais arrivé. Ils m'ont envoyé deux e-mails prétendant oublier la situation, essayant de me faire suivre d'autres cours mais après les avoir informés à nouveau, je me fais ignorer encore une fois.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been with Tecnic for the last year and it has really helped me improve my driving. Although the teachers were very helpful, the most helpful person was by far Anick. She was always so polite and courteous. She explained everything very thoroughly and was just a great person to talk to on the phone and in person. Amazing with people and fluent in English in French which really helped me out :-). Tecnic zoom calls were also taken very seriously which made me feel prepared for the theory tests.

Étant aux études et travaillant en même temps, elle a su m'aider à trouver des horaires qui me conviennent. Les instructeurs sont agréables, donnent des commentaires pertinents et les cours passent assez vite. Expérience fantastique: I'm about to finish the whole driving course after being on a hiatus and the experience I had with the school recently is very much positive compared to before. This is mainly thanks to Anick, the receptionist, for being super friendly, kind and helpful. When I emailed the school concerning an issue about my account, she called back the following day and promptly solved the issue. There was also some rescheduling that was done due to the instructors not being available (which is totally understandable with how the world has changed and the lack of instructors), but she reached out asap to see what works out for me. The instructors I had before were generally great, but for someone who hasn't really been behind the wheel for some time, the instructor I had recently, Mr. Mustapha, was very patient in giving me helpful tips to ease back into driving all the while having a great sense of humour. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the quality of the staff and the services they provided :)

Expérience négative: I asked for an attestation and a refund for the courses I didn't take (about $350) to change schools because I moved elsewhere: they gave me my attestation and promised a refund, but eventually refused to refund. Because they went back on their promise, I am now out of 350$. They are now ignoring my emails, deleted my Tecnic account and won't refund me. Not recommended at all. Reply to the owner answer: Are you sure I won't waste my time by contacting you again, like I did 5 times before I was able to speak with someone who said that the refund promise was a human error that the school won't take responsibility for?

They give you a scheduled driving course at the same time as someone else and when you get there they turn you around and tell you errors are human ??? I had an email confirming my schedule driving course are you kiding me ? Even if you have to do 30 minutes more to go to an other school please do it for your own good.

Un service terrible ça va prendre 3 ans pour finir ses cours voyons donc. Y a t'il un responsable dans cette endroit qui s'occupe de réglé ce problème qui dure depuis plus de deux ans covid ou pas.

Expérience négative: The reviews are low for a reason and should be a warning to anyone thinking of using them. Not only is the service horrible but I believe they are also wrongfully taking my money. I paid for driving courses which could not be fulfilled due to lack of options and availability. I requested a refund (which by law must be paid back within 10 days), was given no follow up after repeated requests for updates, and when the “refund” was finally issued a month and a half later, it was for less than half of the amount that I paid. The receptionist was unable to explain why the refund was for this amount, other than mentioning highly ambiguous “fees” which she failed to notify me of at the time of refund request (even though the consumer protection act clearly states that there can be no fees applied to services not received). After requesting an appointment with someone who could explain what was happening, I was informed I would get a call from someone “sometime on Friday afternoon.” Friday afternoon has come and gone with no word from anyone. I'm at a total loss of what to do... Update - Only after this review was written did someone reach out to me for an explanation. The manager was defensive of the receptionist, stating that information was provided to me when it absolutely was not. It basically comes down to my word against hers, and I get it - you gotta back up your employees. While the refund amount has now been explained, several things have been left unaddressed and the interactions just show a general lack of accountability and professionalism from the business. This has been an exceedingly frustrating and difficult process for what I thought would be a simple matter of getting my license. Good luck to anyone who chooses to work with them.

I tried to call them and visit almost everyday for a week in August 2021, after finally being able to reach them they told me they have no availabilities. They asked for my schedule and they told me they will let me know as soon as they have a spot. 5 months passed and neither did they call me, nor they responded to my calls. Finally after a long time they referred me to nord montreal for continuing my lessons, which was too far, and they had no english drivers to teach me. All he communicated with me was just to let me know when to take a turn. I payed almost 1000$ and the service is just terrible. If the situation keeps going like this and they refuse to offer me the service that they are supposed to, i am leaving this school. I should’ve done that earlier. Save your money and your time. Find some place else. Technically i should’ve had my license by January 2022, but i am nowhere near getting it yet.

Expérience fantastique: I just finished the whole of the learning course today.. All in all I am very happy about how things went specially at the last stretch of it. The quality is there, and also the friendliness of the staff. Covid-19 made things very difficult at a certain moment for scheduling, but their robust platform helped tremendously to plan and adapt the course to my needs. Being persistent is key here but it works. Really want to thank specially -ANICK at the counter for her friendliness, great attitude and emphaty, she made my experience way more effective and concise, -ASIS the instructor great work ethic and adaptability to teach you with enough patience and professionalism, very recommended

Expérience négative: The online teacher seems unhappy with his career choice, and requires camera to be on and no eating. That’s when you could reach them. My son has called a few times, and left voicemail. Nothing. I’ve written to the email the person who answers here leaves, no answer. I don’t know how to get my son’s file so we can go somewhere else.

They never answer the phone, they don't call back when you leave messages and when we went on site, they were closed and the person working there was out chatting it up with friends at a next door BOBA Tea store for 30 minutes. My son has paid them and has been trying to book his classes for the last month+ to no avail. Go to any other driving school and avoid these guys as they will take your money and it will take you forever to complete your course.

Expérience négative: Pire pire pire expérience de ma vie. Le gérant Zak n'a aucune inquiétude pour ce qui en est du service à la clientèle. Pendant plusieurs semaines ils n'ont pas eu de secrétaire et à la place de laisser un message au répondeur pour informer les clients de ne pas appeler ils ont décidé de ne rien faire. Ils ont une nouvelle réceptionnistes mais depuis plusieurs semaines personne ne répond au téléphone et personne ne retourne les messages. Aussi les horaires d'ouverture ne correspondent pas aux horaires qui sont indiqués en ligne, ils ne sont ouverts que 3 jours semaine, donc si vous vous rendez sur place vous risquez aussi de ne pas recevoir le service pour lequel vous avez payé.

Expérience négative: Pire expérience client de ma vie! Tecnic Saint-Laurent devrait fermer tellement c’est la pire école de conduite. J’ai appelé plusieurs fois par semaines pendant deux mois et je n’ai jamais eu de cours. On me disait toujours de rappeler la semaine d’après. Après avoir eu seulement un cours en trois mois, la réceptionniste m’a finalement promis de me donner des cours. Je n’ai par la suite jamais eu de nouvelles. Je me suis rendue sur place et la réceptionniste a nié de m’avoir promis les cours et m’a manqué de respect. La réceptionniste m’a ensuite promis que j’allais être dans les premières à avoir des cours et qu’elle allait m’en donner avant la fin de la semaine. Ce qui a bien sûr jamais été fait. Je me suis donc rendue sur place une autre fois pour constater qu’elle était entrain de donner des cours à plusieurs personnes et qu’il y avait même une liste avec plusieurs signatures de cours qui venaient d’être donnés!!! J’ai commencé mes cours en 2019 (il y a deux ans!) et, avec le service que je reçois, je ne vois pas comment je pourrais terminer mes cours avant que mon permis expire!!! J'ai demandé mon attestation pour faire un transfert d'école et sur celle-ci il y avait deux sorties pratiques que j'avais complétés qui n'étaient pas inscrites!! En changeant d'école, j'aurais dû repayer pour ces cours déjà faits et repayer un frais d'inscription d'environ 300$!!! Poussée par la frustration, j’allais envoyer une mise en demeure à l’école. Heureusement, après avoir fait des recherches, Tecnic Saint-Laurent sont tellement incapables de faire leur travail, qu’ils ont perdu leur licence en 2018 et que la succursale de Montréal-Nord doivent les superviser. J’ai donc appelé là-bas et ils ont tout réglé mes problèmes. Sinon, tous les professeurs sont vraiment bons et gentils, c’est juste la réceptionniste de Saint-Laurent qui est menteuse, irrespectueuse et mal organisée.

Expérience négative: I have been trying to contact this school since 2020, by email, by phone and in person to schedule my in-person driving hours. I have not received a SINGLE reply from them for over a year. I have also tried getting an updated invoice because the one I have is outdated and doesn't reflect the theory classes Ive completed so far. I need that invoice to show my employer, whom is paying for my license. The 3 times I've gone in person they were closed during operating hours. I have not gotten a call back or email back outside of that. I recently reached out to the Tecnic "head-office" and they can't do anything because its an individually owned school. They offered to re-route my request directly to the school again and big shocker...I STILL havent heard back since then. STAY AWAY from this school and TECNIC as a company altogether. They will make you run-out your learners permit expiry date by not contacting you and then ask you to pay to renew your file.

At this pace, the course will never be completed in the required time stipulated by their contract. They accept too many students and don't have enough people to handle the demand, this is really unacceptable and unprofessional, and I will now need to cancel my contract and go somewhere else. Please, don't register there, it's a waste of time.

It is not normal that I haven’t been able to have a class for almost 3 months now. They are very disorganized with there system do not recommend anyone to go there. But they get complaints everyday from so many people because they're so disorganized. I wish I paid the extra money to any other driving school. *ANY*. Its going to be over 5 months that I've been SIMPLY planning to try to get my learner's license from them, because there is so much miscommunication from lecturers and no scheduling organization. They legit don't give af about their students. Pay somewhere else. It's worth your money. They take in hundreds of students but there's not enough teachers, spaces, classes, etc for anyone.

Expérience négative: Honestly terrible, not using my name so Im not on the black list but vehicules are terrible, they don’t even work since one of the blinker is destroyed due to rust and can’t be fixed, so I had my class without a blinker. Driving teacher had to evaluate me but since he didn’t make me do what I was supposed to do, he just gave me a mark at random. ALSO, I’ve been calling multiple times, A LOT, and all they say is to call back next week for the disponibilities. It’s been like this for the past 3 weeks now. I’m supposed to have finished my classes last month and they are now not even answering my calls. Even if I leave a voice mail. Honestly think that the system should be re done. Secretary said that there were less classes since an instructor took vacation. But I think that due to COVID, EVERYONE are trying to find classes so why not find someone else to replace him?.? Makes no sense to me, never going there again once I’m done. To finish on a good note, the only good part are the online classes, Zak H is doing a fantastic job. Should deserve a raise

Expérience positive: Being totally honest here, the registry or sign up service might have been a little more frusturating than I would have thought it to be BUT, once my courses started I can say that my teacher Zak.H was without a doubt the best teacher you could probably have to teach you everything you would want to know. He is patient, understanding, has an amazing sense of humour when talking about certain events or scenarios and although he can be strict about being there on time and ready to start the class, that is also to be expected when teaching a class of approx. 100 students. Other than that, if you start your 1st class of your drving course at Technic St-Laurent and Mr. Zak.H appears on your zoom screen, make sure you are ready to start hahaha, but also be ready to have an amazing course online :)

Expérience négative: Les instructeurs sont assez décevants bien qu'on voit qu'ils fassent des efforts. La façon de faire les cours théoriques est mal faite avec par exemple une prise des présences qui dure plus de 15 min, je pense que cela pourrait etre fait differemment. Ce sont pleins de petits details et aussi certains instructeurs qui rendent le cours fatiguant et pas agréable. On nous prend beaucoup pour des enfants ce qui est quelque fois vexant. Cependant les instructeurs font des efforts, ils ne sont juste pas très adroits mais pas méchant non plus même si cela peut des fois donner cette impression !

J'étais supposer d'avoir une voiture pour mon examen et quand j'arrive pour leur aviser la date de mon exam, on me dit qu'il n'y a pas de voiture. C'est de l'arnaque. Je me suis fait voler mon argent. J'ai même du me payer une autre école pour avoir des cours extras parce que c'est trop loin la place ou je fais mon exam et m'ont jamais mentionner que si je le faisais à cette place il faut que j'ai prend deux ensembles pour pouvoir aller pratiquer.

Expérience négative: As many people have stated before, the main pain with this place is the front desk/secretary and how they handle situations with payments. The classes themselves and the teachers are fine, nothing great, a few oddballs. I'd suggest going to another school.

Expérience négative: I feel greatly aggravated by paying for such a low quality service and I’m referring specifically to the administration and the secretary in charge of attending to the client in terms of class appointments, information on changes and course organization. Any secretary in Quebec should be completely bilingual in English and French, gentlemen, the client suffers when he cannot communicate with the secretary and if she is not informed, nor prepared to communicate the student correctly then she should not be working there . The school has been charging me periodically as I go to class. You sign a paper that says if you have to pay a specific amount, I finished my class number 10 and the school should have charged me the remaining balance of the contract but it didn't. (I didn't know this yet, but informed myself long afterward) What happened is that after 4 months of this whole terrible COVID-19 pandemic some services were reopened including the school, naturally I phoned the school to schedule my remaining classes. According to the secretary I could not schedule my class until I paid the remaining balance. I basically had to go to the school to pay in order to schedule my classes. The only thing that the secretary said during more than 20 minutes of conversation was "you have to come and pay if you want to schedule your classes" it really makes a difference??? I have to go and take the class anyway and I can pay there. I don't have to go and pay and then schedule my class and go home and wait to come back again take the class, that doesn’t make any sense especially if the school made a mistake by not charged me when they suppose to. School Driving Tecnic Ville Saint-Laurent management You have students of all ages. People with responsibilities, children, jobs, school, please don't waste our time. The secretary had to call to another secretary and them she explained me that I could pay online but I already have asked for permission at work to go and pay. Please give formation about the job to the people that you hired. The school administration is to blame, not its workers. The school didn’t open Friday, July 31st ,Saturday, august 1st and nor Sunday august 2nd but that wasn’t post on the website or the ads not even when you have been calling for 4 days starting on that same Friday 31st. I realize about that info today Tuesday august 4th because I had to take the time to go to the school and guess what a paper on the door with the info but check this out the school was closed and no info about it. I have more but I don’t think anyone need more than this. My advice I am still trying to finish my course and have to deal with this but don’t come to take classes here is painful ,estrés full , never felt this way while I pay for a service

Expérience positive: Good instructors and classes. Scheduling can sometimes be a pain if you don’t have the most flexible availabilities (mid-day) and calls are often left unanswered. Their car happened to break down on the day of my lesson which caused it to be delayed by a full month.

Expérience négative: VOLEURS!!! Ma fille a eu un cancer : Elle a dû abandonner ses cours de conduite. Technic Saint-Laurent/Côte-Vertu ne m’ont jamais offert de réouvrir son dossier (on avait tout payé), alors que les autres Technic le font sans poser de question et cela même après 23 mois. Suite à cette attitude, j’ai demandé le transfert du dossier de mot fils a un autre Technic; Généralement cela doit prendre environ deux semaines et les Technic compétiteurs remboursent la partie payée qui n’a pas été utilisé, mais pour Technic Saint-Laurent / Côte-Vertu, c’est encore diffèrent… cela a pris plus trois semaine pour obtenir une attestation, qui n’est pas un transfert et … ils n’ont pas rembourser le solde du. Encore une différence… Prendre note que cette école est dans un regroupement de Montréal qui possède d’autres écoles Technic, alors ces écoles ont surement d’autres politiques très différentes… des autres Technic. J’ai parlé de cela sur les réseaux sociaux, le soccer de Saint-Laurent, l’écoles de mon fils, le cegep Saint-Laurent, les amis des enfants, mon quartier etc., et à ce jour ENORMEMENT de gens savent qu’ils ont des politiques DIFFERENTES…

Expérience positive: Nice and friendly secretary, but some driving teachers didn't really care for what they were doing and this driving school is quite expensive. It's just an ok driving school.

Expérience négative: Je suis tres insatisfaite! Donc récemment ils ont changer Le propriétaire et maintenant on est oubliger de faire toute la théorie avant de faire les cours de conduites parce que “c’est le nouveau règlement”. Par contre j’ai tout à fait le droit de faire ma phase comme je veux, car selon la loi on a complètement le droit de faire les sorties de routes avant de faire la théorie. Au lieu de commencer ma phase 2 en janvier, jai du attendre jusqu’à la fin de février pour faire mon premier cours de théorie et le 3 mars pour faire la deuxième théorie, car je devais la faire avant de sortir. Cette école étais pas si pire, surtout Omar est un bon prof, avant qu’on applique le nouveau “règlement “, je ne recommande à personne d’inscrire dans cette école, car non seulement je perds mon temps a attendre, mais c’est cher. Au lieu de le faire en 13 mois comme c’est supposer de prendre, sa va me prendre beaucoup plus que 13 moi si sa ne va pas aller jusqu’à 2 ans. Je suis une étudiante et jai besoin d’avoir mon permis le plus vite possible, mais cette école va m’empêcher. Enplus je ne suis pas la seule personne qui le pense, j’ai parler au autres élèves dans la classe et ils sont très insatisfaits!!

Expérience négative: J'ai choisi des cours en français mais la plupart des instructeurs que j'ai eu parlais anglais seulement. Lors d'un de mes cours l'instructeur était au téléphone la plupart du temps et on a fini 15 minutes d'avances.

Expérience fantastique: je conseille fortement cette école ! les secrétaires sont très aimables , explique bien le programme de plus il y a des cours en anglais. beaucoup de disponibilités les horaires peuvent être flexible . ils appellent 24h avant votre rendez-vous afin de vous faire un rappel

Expérience négative: Very bad in scheduling appointments. They scheduled days that I did not ask for and they charge me for it. The managers were very aggressively and difficult to talk.
