Expérience négative: J'ai récemment passé mon permis de conduire, mais je ne peux certainement pas l'attribuer à mon instructeur Bruce. Il était constamment sur son téléphone, en train de naviguer peu importe quoi, très impoli et ne m'a jamais appris à me garer jusqu'à ce que je lui demande. Ne vous attendez pas à ce qu'il vous emmène sur l'autoroute, non plus. Vous conduirez juste en avant et c'est tout. Quand ce sont vos parents qui sont les seuls à vous introduire à de nouvelles situations alors que votre instructeur a son propre frein et est beaucoup mieux équipé pour cela, il y a un énorme problème. En dehors de l'expérience horrible avec mon instructeur, le reste du personnel était agréable et la réservation de séances de conduite était un processus assez facile.

Expérience positive: Bonne formation, mais le professeur arabe a un énorme ego et ils sont insistants sur la vente de casques et des leçons supplémentaires obligatoires.

Expérience fantastique: J'ai récemment terminé le cours de motocyclette, et c'était une expérience solide du début à la fin. Les instructeurs étaient attentifs et vraiment intéressés à nous aider à réussir tout en rendant le cours engageant. Si vous cherchez à apprendre à conduire, ce cours vaut vraiment la peine d'être considéré. Vous ne serez pas déçu.

Expérience fantastique: Je suis heureux d'être enfin sur la route, profitant de cette conduite libre et insouciante ! Je tiens à remercier Firaz ; c'est un homme incroyable ! C'était ma première fois à le rencontrer, et je l'ai trouvé calme, professionnel et toujours souriant. Il instille confiance et foi en vous en tant que conducteur, ce qui vous aide à croire en vos capacités à perfectionner vos exercices. J'aimerais que tous les instructeurs dans divers domaines soient comme lui ! Malheureusement, j'ai rencontré de nombreuses personnes à Montréal qui ne méritent pas les titres ou les positions qu'elles occupent. J'étais incertain quant à suivre le cours de préparation au test (formation privée avant l'examen), mais j'ai pris la bonne décision en suivant le cours privé avec Firaz ! Il était comme un magicien, me préparant en une heure ! Il a été assez généreux pour me donner du temps supplémentaire pour pratiquer sans frais supplémentaires. Merci à Morty et à son équipe pour leur excellente gestion et pour avoir choisi les bonnes personnes pour les bonnes tâches ! Je vous souhaite à tous le meilleur et du succès dans vos affaires !

Expérience fantastique: Je suis venu d'une autre auto-école et j'ai pris des leçons de conduite supplémentaires ainsi que le forfait d'examen VIP avec Oren, et c'était l'un des meilleurs investissements que j'ai faits. Il m'a appris quelques astuces qui m'ont vraiment aidé à réussir mon examen de conduite. Je n'aurais pas pu le faire sans eux.

Chaque fois que j'expliquais à la réceptionniste que je suis une personne plus anxieuse, elle avait rapidement une liste d'instructeurs qui seraient un bon choix pour moi, et tous l'étaient ! J'ai eu des leçons avec 3 instructeurs différents - Oren, Eric et Anatole - et chacun m'a donné des aspects importants et différents de la conduite dont j'ai pu tirer parti et apprendre. J'ai choisi de prendre le service VIP pour mon examen de conduite et je ne le regrette pas non plus ! Expérience fantastique: Je donne 5 étoiles spécifiquement à Bruce - J'ai fait mes 10 premières leçons en voiture avec un autre instructeur, ce qui s'est avéré être une perte de temps et d'argent complète... Je n'ai rien appris correctement - si j'ai appris quoi que ce soit, mes évaluations n'ont pas été remplies, et je n'ai pas été enseignée sur comment corriger mes erreurs. Pour mes dernières leçons en voiture, j'ai changé d'instructeur pour Bruce. Pendant le temps des dernières leçons en voiture que j'avais plus quelques leçons supplémentaires, Bruce a pu m'enseigner tout ce que j'aurais dû apprendre depuis ma première leçon en voiture jusqu'à la dernière. Grâce à Bruce, j'ai réussi mon examen de conduite du premier coup et je suis passée d'une conductrice complètement perdue et inconsciente avec à peu près aucune connaissance de la conduite à une conductrice confiante et sûre en moins d'un mois. Non seulement il a maximisé le temps que nous avions, mais il a également pu compenser tout le temps que j'avais perdu avec l'autre instructeur. Si vous commencez des leçons et cherchez à choisir un instructeur, je recommande fortement Bruce - il est expérimenté, compétent, un enseignant efficace et m'a aidé à devenir une conductrice confiante et sûre. Il a à lui seul transformé mon expérience avec Morty's de 1 ou 2 étoiles à 5.

Expérience fantastique: Je suis quelqu'un qui avait une grande peur de conduire, mais il était temps d'y faire face, alors je me suis inscrit chez Mortys. J'ai trouvé leurs cours très clairs et toutes les questions reçoivent une réponse. Mon instructeur de conduite était Andre (métro Snowdon) et il s'assure que vous apprenez ce qui est nécessaire pour réussir l'examen et il est très bon avec les gens (reste calme/patient). J'ai utilisé le service VIP pour mon examen et Eli a été fantastique pour s'assurer que je connaissais le parcours d'examen et ce qu'il fallait surveiller pendant l'examen. J'ai réussi ma théorie et ma conduite du premier coup. Si vous êtes chez Morty's, vous êtes entre de bonnes mains!

Ils ont fourni le lien pour les rendez-vous d'examen SAAQ, ils vous disent sur quels chapitres vous concentrer pour le test de connaissances. J'ai également utilisé le service d'examen VIP qui a été très utile car j'ai pu m'exercer dans la zone d'examen avant mon test de conduite.

J'ai eu Bruce comme mon instructeur pendant toute la durée de mon temps chez Morty’s et je n'aurais pas pu demander une meilleure personne pour apprendre. Il est très méticuleux dans sa capacité d'enseignement et a fourni un moyen confortable et infaillible d'inculquer des connaissances à ses élèves. Sans Bruce, je ne pense pas que je serais aussi à l'aise que je le suis dans un véhicule. 10/10 recommanderait Bruce comme votre instructeur.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve done all but one of my driving lessons with Bruce at Morty’s, and honestly I could not have asked for a better instructor. Bruce is strict and direct but also one of the nicest people I’ve met. He taught me well and the one time Bruce had gotten injured and I ended up having another instructor I actually missed him! If you are planning on getting your driving courses done at Morty’s I recommend asking for Bruce! I passed both my theory and practical exam first try! (thank you Bruce!)

Expérience positive: I just passed my road test in my FIRST try after haven't driven for 20 years. Choosing Morty's driving school for my driving education is one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. Without Morty's driving school's outstanding teaching and coaching, I wouldn't have passed the test or at least wouldn't have passed it on my first try. Morty's driving school is NOT one of those driving schools that just gets your money and rushes you through the program by just teaching you just the bare minimum required. No, it provides a quality and comprehensive driving education program that really teaches you how to drive and how to deal with the variety of complicated road situations to drive safely. Morty's in-class lessons are thorough, comprehensive, detailed and practical. It provides you a solid understanding of the traffic laws and regulations in Québec as well as defensive driving skills. Morty's, from its vast experience, also provides you a wealth of practice questions for you to practice for the second knowledge test which has a very high failure rate. The Québec government designed the test to really make sure you know how to apply the Québec traffic laws in real-life situations; they are not simple multiple-choice questions that ask you about traffic laws. You MUST practice the practice questions that Morty`s provides you until you are able to get at least 95% on them before you attempt the knowledge test otherwise you are almost guaranteed to fail. For my in-car lessons, I find my instructor Sean to be very knowledgeable about the traffic laws. He is also very cordial and accommodating in giving lessons in that he was willing to take me to various different cities to expose me to many different road situations including highways enriching my driving experience. I had a very pleasant experience in having my driving lessons with Sean. For the road test, I highly recommend the VIP exam service that Morty's driving school offers. It is absolutely essential in getting that exam package if you want to pass your road test in first try. Oren was absolutely instrumental in helping me passing my road test in my first try. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in not only the traffic laws and regulations but also safe driving habits that one needs to possess to be a responsible driver. Especially if you are taking your road test in the Laval testing centre, you need Oren to take you through the possible test routes to show you where you need to be extra careful and the correct place to stop for some stop signs. And if you are having trouble reverse parking which I still was until literally the last minute before I went in for my exam, Oren was able to show me the required techniques and how to judge the car's position relative to other cars and obstacles and made me practice again and again and again and again while patiently guiding me throughout the whole time until I was comfortable enough to reverse park safely and during the test my reverse parking was perfect for which I received positive compliments from the examiner. Oren is a Godsend to me. I couldn't have done it without him. After the road test, I drove the car (an all-electric Mustang as part of the E-Roule program, yes this is the car that you get to drive for the VIP Exam service, another incentive to get the VIP Exam service :)) home over highways during the worst rush hour traffic with cars packed back-to-back over all of the lanes on the highway and I received more lessons from the expert on how to merge onto the highway and switch multiple lanes at a time during extreme rush hour traffic, another perk that I received from the VIP exam service. Overall I would highly recommend Morty's driving school to anybody and I would definitely have my children take driving lessons from Morty's when it's time for them to get their license and so should anybody. They are just a cut above the rest. Wish Morty's all the continued success!

Expérience négative: The one star review is about the owner, not the instructors. The instructors are absolutely amazing. I’m a 17 year old student at Mortys, I’m getting my motorcycle license with them. I’m leaving this bad review for what happened today. I have my saaq test on Friday the 15th and today is 13th, I had one class today, then a private session on the 14th, then the test. I had my test scheduled for the next week, but I was specifically told to take it this week, because I would be done in time. So I listened. Then, the Mortys website wasn’t letting me get into a class because of an 8 hour weekly rule, so I couldn’t get a class, so I called the owner (Morty) who at the time was friendly and opened a class for me on Wednesday (today) to do the session. He told me that if he can’t get anybody to get into the class he would have to cancel it. That phone call was placed on Monday and I had my class today (Wednesday) those 2 days I never heard from Morty, even when I texted him asking what time my private session was for Thursday, he never texted me back. So I took the day off from school and I started driving there, it takes me 1 hour to get there because I’m driving a moped, and he calls my phone 30 minutes before the session starts while I’m on the way and tells me that the class is canceled and that I should go back home, even though he knows my situation and I need this class so I can do my test on Friday. He tells me it’s canceled because he couldn’t get anyone and because it’s raining. (It was bearly drizzling) Obviously now I’m mad because I know he said he would cancel it, but not right before my class starts! Plus he started lying, he said we were on the phone for already 20 minutes so i have add that to a count, but we were only on the phone for 5 minutes when he said that, I literally saw the running time on the call. But then he says I can do the class ONLY if I pay $400 because it will be considered a private session. I refused because this is ridiculous, the whole course is around $1000, so I shouldn’t have to pay that just to do a session that I’m already paying for. But then he tells me that he will give me a discount and that he can give it to me for $300 because of my situation, because “I need to pay the instructor.” So again I tell him no. PART 2 IS ON MY OTHER REVIEW, IT WOULD NOT LET ME POST ALL OF IT

Expérience négative: I can’t understate how horrible my experience at Morty’s was. My teacher Bruce was negligent, disrespectful, and at no point showed an interest in my learning. I still have fears when driving which were created during his lessons. Going into my exam I had maybe 20% of the information I needed to do well and was extremely uneasy. Unfortunately, my brother and best friend both were forced to take his in-cars lessons due to scheduling and have had the same encounters. Morty, himself, has continually shown no initiative to correct this and acts simply in the interest of money and his teachers. I would not recommend this to anyone and hope no one else has to go through this.

Signed up for motorcycle course during covid and couldn't get a appointment for closed course due to over booking then charge me an extra 144$ because they changed their price after I signed up ( which was not in the contract ) to top it off they said we have until said date to pay it off only to find put they are closed that day. Whoever runs this company needs to get their head out of the a**

Expérience fantastique: I had an excellent experiance at Mortys Driving School in DDO. The staff are very friendly and they responded to most of my emails in less than 24 hours. The instructors gave me some very good tips for the Class 5 road test which helped me pass it on the first try. They also provide students with a VIP service (it costs $200) where the instructors pick you up at your house and let you use their car for the road test and do a practice session 1 hour before your exam. Another good thing about Morty's is if you need your license as soon as possible, they can book you 2 hour lessons with an instructor (e.g in-car 7&8) in one day to speed up the process. Als

Expérience négative: I am going to be completely honest... My experience with Morty's was pretty bad. Starting off, I had a really great instructor who then left and the school did not even inform his students of his departure, leaving me waiting, thus postponing my progress. When I was given a new instructor, few months later, I texted the instructor but then they never answered. Following, I was given a new instructor who was very aggressive in a car setting as well as unsafe as he fell asleep during one of my in car sessions. I was then appalled by this and further switched instructors.... Again.... Not to mention, I was misbooked for an in car session to which I had already completed and was forced to rebook my in car session and they would not allow me to take it. Then on my very last in car, Morty's booked me right after they had closed on the Friday. I needed my attestation papers for my exam on the following Monday morning at 8am. But Morty's only opens at 12pm on Monday and they are closed all weekend (their office hours are not flexible and limited) therefore, I asked the receptionist if I was allowed to obtain my papers before my in car. WHEN I ASKED if I can pick up the papers, she informed that I cannot due to a malfunction. She then rudely made me come in on a the Sunday to pick up the papers. Overall, this was just such a burden process and I believe that this process shouldn't have taken this long and been so difficult.

Expérience fantastique: Completed the motorcycle course August 2020. It was a great experience. Phil, Sam, Gerry and Geoff were all very qualified teachers. The course itself was well structured. Learned a lot, especially in the parking lot. Originally, I was disappointed I had to do road prep but in the end Phil was absolutely right, my shifting needed help. My brother, father and myself have all taken the course, we would all definitely recommend the motorcycle course at Morty’s driving school.

Expérience négative: 1 star too many. They take too many students and only have 3 drivers. Takes about 2 months to book an in car session. Changed drivers 3 times. When I decided to change driving school's, they gave me attitude and did not refund what belonged to me. Do not recommend, go anywhere but here.

Also the service is outstanding as I am new to this, I called several times and Galit was always there to answer my question with enthusiasm and kindness. Expérience fantastique: MORTYS NAILS IT FROM A-Z The whole process of getting a motorcycle license in this province is daunting, long, and expensive. Mortys made is super easy and fun. The instructors are all fantastic and the learning environments were comfortable. Even the administration staff were super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend taking the private lessons with Phil before the in circuit test because it’s well worth it (he made us masters) I honestly wish I could add more stars to the rating for these guys!!! Expérience fantastique: Just finished my motorcycle training and test with the results I wanted. The team at Morty’s is amazing. These instructors take safety seriously. They were right about everything they told me in the closed track, and they prepared me very well for the road. Having never driven standard, I was definitely not a natural at driving a bike to say the least :) The extra time I spent with Phil in the yard and on the road was exactly what I needed. Road driving with Gerard was great and gave me some more tips to improve, and by the time I finished the road I was very comfortable. Spend the extra hours prep if they ask you too, it’s not about your ego it’s about learning the right way to ride and being safe. And you MUST do the test prep course before your test, it will help guarantee you pass. Even if you get nervous on the day of the test, you will have memorized the process and that makes it much easier.

Expérience fantastique: The teachers really care! They are passionate and they really know what they are doing. The classes aren’t too big so you get a lot of one on one attention often. They push a lot of safety and teach you how to protect yourself and be a safe rider, not just how to turn on a bike and go it’s so much more. A special thank you to Melanie Scott Phill and the last teacher I did both my 4 hours with who’s name is escaping me right now but you guys are amazing! Definitely recommend this school for every age and to actually become a great rider not just get by.

Expérience fantastique: * I apologize in advance for this long review, but i promise it's worth the read.* I've lived in the west island my whole life, and when it came a few years ago to chose a driving school, I had always heard about Morty's from other people who had done their classes with the school. So i gave it a shot. My driving instructor was Bruce. He was funny, blunt and above all patient with me. When the time came for my exam i was fully prepared and ready to hit the road, and i passed with flying colors. A few years later, i decided i wanted to get my Motorcycle license, and it did not even cross my mind to think of any other driving school. to my surprise I had Bruce again as my in class instructor. They went over all the steps and made booking closed circuit and on road preparation classes very easy. From A to Z, I felt safe, informed and taken care of from all the instructors on the closed course, and you can see it in their eyes that they live and breath Motorcycle and have your safety in mind above all else. I have heard that other schools don't take the safety aspect as seriously or the time to work on individual weaknesses. So for that, I have to thank all the instructors for their knowledge, and their wise and inspiring words, and again for always making me feel safe and prepared for the road and exams. I've actually made new friends during the courses that i will be riding with in the future. My last point, is Morty himself. He is a businessman, but above all he is a true gentleman. He schedules all the appointments himself, and takes pride in knowing his students are safe and pass their exams. He was actually present at our Motorcycle exam at the SAAQ to explain to us the test before it began. All this to say, If you're considering a school for Cars or Motorcycles for yourself or a child. There should be no other place you should look but Morty's. Morty, Bruce, Phil, Gerard, Mel, and Scott, I Thank you all.

Expérience négative: There is no record because I made sure to remain anonymous. Your responses to negative reviews are all the same – you don’t take any responsibility for it. You actually include in some of your comments/responses private information about the student/reviewer which is extremely unprofessional (no surprise there because your staff is very unprofessional, too). Polite and courteous is definitely not one of your strong points. The most important part of a driving school is the quality of training and if I can rate you a “0”, I would have. “Maybe” you have experience instructors; it doesn’t excuse them from being arrogant and rude. And they are definitely not high skilled instructors. So you offer training manuals. Other driving schools actually refer and use them with their students; they actually provide feedback for on the road practical classes. Written feedback! I have had to drive some of your instructors around so that they can do their personal errands during my practical classes. I pay you and not the other way around. I have had an instructor not show up twice at my on the road practical classes. I have had my instructor get frustrated and angry on a few occasions. Patience is key. Do you know how dangerous it is to have an instructor put a student on edge? And one thing is certain; your school definitely did not teach me any highway driving or parking. Drive Safe!

Expérience négative: Unfortunately, my experience at Morty's was nowhere near as positive as I hoped for. Morty's charged us some thirty dollars for a textbook that was never used. Furthermore, the receptionist was exceptionally rude over the telephone. My driving instructor was also occasionally short-tempered; he also was absent for two classes that I scheduled with him, forcing me to reschedule. Lastly, Morty's never provided me with any experience with respect to driving on the highway nor did I ever properly learn how to backwards park or parallel park (which I had to learn myself for my driver's exam). Would strongly recommend another driving school. RESPONSE to the Owner's comments: You are incorrect. It did not take me 4 years to complete a 12 month driving course - I finished in just over a year. Take some responsibility for your institution's shortcomings - I never once missed an appointment - my instructor did (multiple times). Morty's never taught me parking nor highway driving. The fault is completely yours, not mine. You claim you take customer satisfaction seriously, but you lie and belittle rather than accept legitimate criticisms. Pathetic.

Expérience fantastique: Driving a motorcycle was a back burner dream for 30 years until a friend referred me to Morty’s. As of today, I have a class 6A learner’s permit and couldn’t be more thrilled. Thank you Morty for your perpetually calm demeanour, professionalism and support throughout this process - including the SAAQ today. A LOT will be learned in the yard and on the road from instructors: Melanie, Phil or Scott’s tough love to Bruce, Geoff or Gerard’s laid back approach. They present every theory class very well, and they also show videos on “what if” scenarios in a car, that show us how to prevent certain things while driving. They also prepare you well for the SAAQ knowledge test. All in all, it was a very great driving school and I would recommend them to anyone!

Expérience négative: Very bad instructors, had to switch multiple times because of inadequate instruction, bad at responding to messages (often took weeks), short tempered. My last instructor was very nice but not very punctual. Had to put up with a lot and I would recommend going anywhere else.
