Negative experience: My review is based on the reckless driving of one of the instructors with the TNT mercedes company van. I was parked along side the utility substation at the saints church on Tuesday around 4pm, away from everything when the tnt company van drove towards me within a few feet of my vehicle at a high rate of speed. The entire parking lot was open but the tnt employee made a point to recklessly drive towards my parked vehicle. The employee showed disregard, ignorance and an unprofessional attitude when i confronted him regarding his actions. I am awaiting the video footage from saints church currently. The third picture shows the location of my vehicle and where the tnt employee C Cans are. This driver did not show any respect, safety of consideration for myself on the roadway and was showed by his comments when I approached him. Hopefully people use a different company to get their motorcycle licence and put an end to tolerating this type of behavior.
Fantastic experience: I finished my course completion and so happy JF was my instructor. He is very knowledgeable and taught me alot of value skills to keep me safe. I definently would recommend JF, full of knowledge and helps you build confidence especially if you're a beginner to Bikes.
Fantastic experience: The folks over at TNT are fantastic. I took the basic riding course recently and their focus on safety and introductory riding skills prepared me for hitting the road in confidence! Thanks TNT!
Fantastic experience: Great instructor led course - 10/10 would recommend! Instructors are helpful and supportive!
Negative experience: **UP DATED AFTER TNT REPLY *** I paid $700 I could more than enough for paid 1 on 1, cheaper and learn more. Yes, family business, I overpaid to sit to hear advertising more sell from your family. If I fail the road test at least offer 1 or 2 hours for us because we deserve the have fair practice on the road even we weaker than other. It's 12 students and only 2 teacher to maximize money you make. I screen short 1 of other viewer here too. Sad.***** THIS POST BEFORE TNT REPLY. May 2024 I booked a beginner class at TNT. I completely disappointed everything. The only reason I chose TNT because I google show its only the options. But once I done the class I even more disappointed. My sister also took TNT beginner for motorcycle 4 years ago. Back then, TNT only have 2 instructors for 8 students, now 2 instructors for 12 students. Timing so rush and they don't tell me the experience detail beside super basic. Everything I asked they answer exactly like what I learn myself from the class 6 learning book, they don't explain detail or give more experience. Seem like they save that so you can pay more for advance class, I stalling so often from many reasons even after TNT. Which I can learn from other person after I done TNT and now I never stalling again. If TNT teaching so basic and always answer exactly what already writing in the book then we all can self learning no need TNT then. I was upset. I often blame maybe my English issue but then I asked 2 more Caucasian ladies, 1 was so disappointed and left early right after exame with never once smile the whole course, and 1 lady she almost fail the land test and said she not even close to confident after the last day. If someone have some experience ahead you maybe warm up then it's ok to go with TNT. I feel they don't teach with heart and care and hope some of us could fail so they can make more money for use sign up for advance cours. The 1,5 day there, since too much students and most of us never been on motorcycle, so we all are so slow and the waiting for each person take time to ride was make me feel I paid so but I got to ride half of the time. I wanted to leave early that day too but since I paid so much, I hope last hours I could get little more practice. Sadly, all we do were wait for each person take turn to exame and sale products because their family members running insurance. I feel they all about money and no passionate. Whoever fail road practice can't even borrow their bike for exam. But I paid fair price with other. With the weaker students, they should have offer more practice over hear they try to make more sale. So I can improve and get to borrow the bike to do exams to be fair with other. All I want to get out of this class is at least I am decent for ready for exame. But I am and other 2 girls I talked too not even close. 1 of us almost fail land test. 1 other lady fail road ride as well as me. I understand some of us not good like other. But we paid full price fair with other learner. We should deserve at least still full course experience. Since we not good like other me and the other girl don't got to try the road ride. That was most upsetting me. We paid in full but don't get all the experience the course was offer. I wasn't appreciate TNT at all. After TNT class I completed stress about feel waisted of the course so expensive, still stalling none stop, still ride like jerking, I hate motorcycle every day. Until I meet few people from group ride and I meet 1 teacher his class just up in Jun. I went from hate motorcycle to in love with motorcycle in 4 hours with him. This mean how much I don't learn anything much from TNT. I hope they care more for rider, they should teach with heart not all about money and help more with experience than saving it for advance course so make more money form client. Most of all they should not over load students for only 2 instructors. I know money important but we paid so much too. We deserve to got more practice over more line up time to take turn to practice from over load students in each course.
Thank you for your feedback. Proper Motorcycle riding skills can not be bought, they can only be learned and demonstrated. TNT has been an Alberta government certified motorcycle training school since 1999 and we meet and exceed the required guidelines set for rider training schools. We have trained well over 12,000 students with various backgrounds from never being on a motorcycle, dirt bike riders, or riders returning to the sport. Riding a motorcycle requires a mixture of physical and mental skills to safely operate. As a family owned business and avid motorcyclists, we care deeply about our students possessing and demonstrating the critical base skills to operate a motorcycle safely on the road. We understand people come with all sorts of expectations that may not match up with their ability to operate a motorcycle safely based on our requirements. Stay safe, TNT In response to the update. Motorcycling is not a cheap sport nor is Alberta it an easy environment to ride in. (UV rays are not under our control) To address the assumptions that costs are too much let me break it down for you. A person does not magically possess new skills by the amount of money they paid. Firstly, our school is very competitive in this space, we not only include the use of our training motorcycles for the road test, but we also offer FREE Practice for life for our Rider Elements Graduates. We have one of the lowest cancellation and course change policy fees in the province. We also have one of the newest fleets on the province, which we strive to keep refreshed with brand new motorcycles. Believing that a new low mileage motorcycle is better for our students learning then a much older motorcycle. All businesspeople understand that there is a cost to providing services or goods. As a registered rider training school that is mandated to provide safety training, we have additional costs, responsibilities and requirements to adhere to. Insurance costs have increased over 50% in the past 2 years for our required insurance program to operate. (Higher limits for commercial liability, automobile and property policies) We have all seen that increase in our personal lives. To remain a certified motorcycle training school in this province we are required to pay fees for the school and the instructors to renew their license. Operating costs, the training area, fuel, motorcycle parts, the yearly required motorcycle mechanical inspections and government certifications paperwork to operate a school have all seen substantial increases in costs. The damages to the training bikes that we incur as part of our operation as a new rider training school are also built into the price of training. Limited training window, we live in the north, seasonal business from May to August. Many of our costs are fixed, meaning the same price for insurance and fees if we use the motorcycle 1 time a month or 30 times a month. New riders crash our bikes, these motorcycles must be repaired and recertified by a certified class 6 motorcycle mechanic. (repair labor costs have increased as well) In the past 25 years we have seen an average 10 out of 12 students meet the set requirements for this motorcycle safety course. TNT’s integrity and dedication for teaching our students how to ride and operate a motorcycle safely is what we are mandated to do. It seems a low portion of our unsuccessful students believe it must be us at fault. After all, poor skills have no impact on a rider’s safety. Right? Edmonton is experiencing the highest year to date motorcycle crashes in 2024. TNT is committed to adhering to our high standards of training safe and responsible riders.
