Negative experience: My review is based on the reckless driving of one of the instructors with the TNT mercedes company van. I was parked along side the utility substation at the saints church on Tuesday around 4pm, away from everything when the tnt company van drove towards me within a few feet of my vehicle at a high rate of speed. The entire parking lot was open but the tnt employee made a point to recklessly drive towards my parked vehicle. The employee showed disregard, ignorance and an unprofessional attitude when i confronted him regarding his actions. I am awaiting the video footage from saints church currently. The third picture shows the location of my vehicle and where the tnt employee C Cans are. This driver did not show any respect, safety of consideration for myself on the roadway and was showed by his comments when I approached him. Hopefully people use a different company to get their motorcycle licence and put an end to tolerating this type of behavior.

Fantastic experience: I finished my course completion and so happy JF was my instructor. He is very knowledgeable and taught me alot of value skills to keep me safe. I definently would recommend JF, full of knowledge and helps you build confidence especially if you're a beginner to Bikes.

Negative experience: **UP DATED AFTER TNT REPLY *** I paid $700 I could more than enough for paid 1 on 1, cheaper and learn more. Yes, family business, I overpaid to sit to hear advertising more sell from your family. If I fail the road test at least offer 1 or 2 hours for us because we deserve the have fair practice on the road even we weaker than other. It's 12 students and only 2 teacher to maximize money you make. I screen short 1 of other viewer here too. Sad.***** THIS POST BEFORE TNT REPLY. May 2024 I booked a beginner class at TNT. I completely disappointed everything. The only reason I chose TNT because I google show its only the options. But once I done the class I even more disappointed. My sister also took TNT beginner for motorcycle 4 years ago. Back then, TNT only have 2 instructors for 8 students, now 2 instructors for 12 students. Timing so rush and they don't tell me the experience detail beside super basic. Everything I asked they answer exactly like what I learn myself from the class 6 learning book, they don't explain detail or give more experience. Seem like they save that so you can pay more for advance class, I stalling so often from many reasons even after TNT. Which I can learn from other person after I done TNT and now I never stalling again. If TNT teaching so basic and always answer exactly what already writing in the book then we all can self learning no need TNT then. I was upset. I often blame maybe my English issue but then I asked 2 more Caucasian ladies, 1 was so disappointed and left early right after exame with never once smile the whole course, and 1 lady she almost fail the land test and said she not even close to confident after the last day. If someone have some experience ahead you maybe warm up then it's ok to go with TNT. I feel they don't teach with heart and care and hope some of us could fail so they can make more money for use sign up for advance cours. The 1,5 day there, since too much students and most of us never been on motorcycle, so we all are so slow and the waiting for each person take time to ride was make me feel I paid so but I got to ride half of the time. I wanted to leave early that day too but since I paid so much, I hope last hours I could get little more practice. Sadly, all we do were wait for each person take turn to exame and sale products because their family members running insurance. I feel they all about money and no passionate. Whoever fail road practice can't even borrow their bike for exam. But I paid fair price with other. With the weaker students, they should have offer more practice over hear they try to make more sale. So I can improve and get to borrow the bike to do exams to be fair with other. All I want to get out of this class is at least I am decent for ready for exame. But I am and other 2 girls I talked too not even close. 1 of us almost fail land test. 1 other lady fail road ride as well as me. I understand some of us not good like other. But we paid full price fair with other learner. We should deserve at least still full course experience. Since we not good like other me and the other girl don't got to try the road ride. That was most upsetting me. We paid in full but don't get all the experience the course was offer. I wasn't appreciate TNT at all. After TNT class I completed stress about feel waisted of the course so expensive, still stalling none stop, still ride like jerking, I hate motorcycle every day. Until I meet few people from group ride and I meet 1 teacher his class just up in Jun. I went from hate motorcycle to in love with motorcycle in 4 hours with him. This mean how much I don't learn anything much from TNT. I hope they care more for rider, they should teach with heart not all about money and help more with experience than saving it for advance course so make more money form client. Most of all they should not over load students for only 2 instructors. I know money important but we paid so much too. We deserve to got more practice over more line up time to take turn to practice from over load students in each course.

Thank you for your feedback. Proper Motorcycle riding skills can not be bought, they can only be learned and demonstrated. TNT has been an Alberta government certified motorcycle training school since 1999 and we meet and exceed the required guidelines set for rider training schools. We have trained well over 12,000 students with various backgrounds from never being on a motorcycle, dirt bike riders, or riders returning to the sport. Riding a motorcycle requires a mixture of physical and mental skills to safely operate. As a family owned business and avid motorcyclists, we care deeply about our students possessing and demonstrating the critical base skills to operate a motorcycle safely on the road. We understand people come with all sorts of expectations that may not match up with their ability to operate a motorcycle safely based on our requirements. Stay safe, TNT In response to the update. Motorcycling is not a cheap sport nor is Alberta it an easy environment to ride in. (UV rays are not under our control) To address the assumptions that costs are too much let me break it down for you. A person does not magically possess new skills by the amount of money they paid. Firstly, our school is very competitive in this space, we not only include the use of our training motorcycles for the road test, but we also offer FREE Practice for life for our Rider Elements Graduates. We have one of the lowest cancellation and course change policy fees in the province. We also have one of the newest fleets on the province, which we strive to keep refreshed with brand new motorcycles. Believing that a new low mileage motorcycle is better for our students learning then a much older motorcycle. All businesspeople understand that there is a cost to providing services or goods. As a registered rider training school that is mandated to provide safety training, we have additional costs, responsibilities and requirements to adhere to. Insurance costs have increased over 50% in the past 2 years for our required insurance program to operate. (Higher limits for commercial liability, automobile and property policies) We have all seen that increase in our personal lives. To remain a certified motorcycle training school in this province we are required to pay fees for the school and the instructors to renew their license. Operating costs, the training area, fuel, motorcycle parts, the yearly required motorcycle mechanical inspections and government certifications paperwork to operate a school have all seen substantial increases in costs. The damages to the training bikes that we incur as part of our operation as a new rider training school are also built into the price of training. Limited training window, we live in the north, seasonal business from May to August. Many of our costs are fixed, meaning the same price for insurance and fees if we use the motorcycle 1 time a month or 30 times a month. New riders crash our bikes, these motorcycles must be repaired and recertified by a certified class 6 motorcycle mechanic. (repair labor costs have increased as well) In the past 25 years we have seen an average 10 out of 12 students meet the set requirements for this motorcycle safety course. TNT’s integrity and dedication for teaching our students how to ride and operate a motorcycle safely is what we are mandated to do. It seems a low portion of our unsuccessful students believe it must be us at fault. After all, poor skills have no impact on a rider’s safety. Right? Edmonton is experiencing the highest year to date motorcycle crashes in 2024. TNT is committed to adhering to our high standards of training safe and responsible riders.

Positive experience: I signed up for a beginner course($700). I’ve never ridden and am 60. Always wanted to ride. You do the text part on Moodle ahead of time, then 1.5 day practice part. I understood the mechanics of it. But I feel getting on a bike prior to this class would have been more helpful for me. I was lagging behind the other riders who all had lots of previous experience with dirt bikes. The class ratio is 6:1 so Moves along fairly quick. Both instructors had decades of experience. The group was a nice mix about 25 % women. I knew I would struggle and was not enjoying it so I left after 3 hours. It was an expensive experience :/

Fantastic experience: Before taking the Tnt course I'd had absolute 0 experience on a motorcycle. Learning from Ernie and Eric was an absolute blast and provided me the fundamentals I needed to be on the road safely. A couple weeks later I took the Riders Tactics course with Deryl who was a joy to ride with. His experience and stories made the whole thing informative and fun throughout. I was able to get my class 6 the very next day!

Fantastic experience: I did the new riders course and it was amazing. They go through everything in great details and are very patient. I had Ernie and Joe for instructors and they were awesome. The on road portion was a huge bonus that you can’t find in any other safety course in town. Highly recommend this course to any new rider.

Fantastic experience: Amazing 2 days learning the basics. The instructors were patient, knowledgeable and really made me feel comfortable right away. I love the second day, so much practice building muscle memory and capped it off with the road course, it was a blast! I definitely recommend this to anymore interested in getting in bikes, I'll be back for sure to take the advanced tactics course. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: Amazing!! I learned so much from the amazing instructors Chris and Ernie. I was struggling with balance when riding slow, feeling I’m doing much better now. The road trip was excellent with only three riders and microphones to hear the instructor. Eric was very clear explaining what to look for while riding together on the road trip down the busy freeway and thru the residential areas. Lots of encouragement from both instructors and many very helpful tips. Feel much more confident in my riding abilities! Would highly recommend TNT. Happy riding!

Fantastic experience: Took the Rider Element course with Chris and Steve. Amazing instructors. I had zero experience riding a motorcycle. I work hard and listen to their instructions. They made me improved my confidence and my skills so fast. Doesn’t matter your experience. I recommend to take this course…. Thank you again TNT

Fantastic experience: We took the Beginner Rider Basics Course. This is an amazing course! Great instruction and super advice. Really well planned out. Very relevant material based on safety and common sense. Fun, lots of info and skills but not pushy and demeaning to the rider. Encouraging and patient with the time allowed. These guys are very knowledgeable and skilled with lots of years experience behind them. I would recommend this course to any level of rider from brand new to skilled refresher. Great time!! Thanks everyone ☺️ Note: they also offer many other types of training programs. Give them a call !

Negative experience: If you are a foreigner, you are very poorly served. I come from France and they say they had a guy who spoke French (well, a very big word because it's Quebecois and it's not French at all!) In short, you are very poorly served and it takes a long time for the answers. Go to Red Deer, they are at the top! Super welcome.

Fantastic experience: I recently went to the rider elements course with little knowledge/ experience with a motorcycle. I am now confident with the skills I’ve learnt and am comfy on a bike on the road. The instructors were amazing, and very knowledgeable with what they were doing. When I had trouble with the E brake exercise Chris got on a bike and rode beside me to give further assistance and confidence for myself! I highly recommend TNT motorcycling. You will learn lots and have fun while doing it!

Fantastic experience: I so glad I chose to attend this training school. I entered on to the course with no knowledge of a bike, watching a couple YouTube videos was the the only think I knew. Chris and his team are absolutely amazing they take time with each member of the class helping you understand and making you feel confident and comfortable. If there's something you feel you need answered that they didn't touch on just ask and they will definitely inform you. I definitely had fun left feeling confident but in saying that om not going to say it's easy because it's not. On not going to tell you there's times you might question yourself and feel like quitting. This group of trainers will teach you and give you the knowledge you need to start your new adventure. Thank you

Fantastic experience: What a great place to learn to ride! Chris and his team are in this for all the right reasons! I felt so comfortable learning there and by the time I left I had enough confidence to go buy my Harley sportster ! This is also a family owned business which made me even happier to learn there knowing they are 1000% invested! Even if you have zero knowledge and experience you’ll leave there on a high feeling confident and needing a new bike!

Positive experience: Instructors are knowledgeable you can learn how to ride a motorcycle with no experience here. The only thing is near the end of the two day course when you do the road driving portion. You'll pass or fail depending on whose in your group doesn't matter if you're able to follow all the rules of the road. If the others in your group can't go the speed limit or do illegal passes by you. You will fail with them be warned.

TNT Motorcycling Ltd
TNT Motorcycling Ltd

You are not failed by your groups issues. We arrange groups based on the skills each student has shown on the lot. Each person needs to shows if they have the skills to safely operate a motorcycle on the road. Road rules and speed zones are two of the most major factors. We also rely on how much coaching the student requires to maintain a safe ride. Each student is required to lead to demonstrate they can operate the motorcycle safely. If you feel that was not the case contact our office and we will review

Positive experience: Took the Riders Element course. It's difficult to say that it was a true beginner friendly course. A lot of material was covered over a short span of time (2 days). You will be required to explicitly ask for feedback to maximize your chance to build your skills (for those shy people --- do your best). Instructors will go over the maneuver once with the group, but unless you ask for their attention/feedback, I found they rarely went out of there way to pointed out ways you can improve your riding. At times, it felt like a frustrating sink or swim course. For those who haven't touched and/or seen a bike at all --- go into this course expecting to feel how it is to ride a bike.

Fantastic experience: I came into the course with no experience whatsoever and full of anxiety. By the end, I was confident and comfortable, because that is how amazing these instructors are. They take different approaches when addressing your weaknesses and help you correct them. Friendly, encouraging and very determined to have you succeed; I highly recommend TNT!

Fantastic experience: TNT was great!!! I had absolutely no experience on motorcycles and was pretty nervous, but the course is very well structured and really gets you comfortable. My instructors were Joseph and Eric and they were both knowledgeable and patient. Joseph was awesome one the road lessons and I really learned a lot, (especially to make sure I'm in first gear when stopped at a light lol). I passed the weekend course and booked my test a week later using the TNT motorcycles they provide and passed the first try!!!!! If your looking to learn how to ride even with no experience, TNT is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience. The course really encourages you to work hard and have fun while continuing to learn. The instructors are very skilled as teachers and give a lot of feedback for each and every rider. I read reviews that made me want to try TNT motorcycling course and I certainly did not regret. I highly recommend. I was happy through out.

Fantastic experience: Great course and great instructors. I walked in to the elements course with out having been on any kind of bike for over 25 years and felt very confident by the end. Took my road test the next week (using the free rental of the same bike from the course) and got a perfect score except for missing the last turn signal into the parking stall at the end. Also got credit for having my license for 3 years with my insurance! Highly recommend for new riders.

brian 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I recently completed the rider training elements course and cannot say enough good things about the course, had the privilege of having Ernie, JF, and Chris as my instructors and they were nothing short of spectacular. Don’t buy into any of the negative reviews, as a rider who had zero motorcycle experience came out passing the program, these guys will not allow you to put yourself in a position to fail and only want to see you become competent and to progress, I found the ratio for rider to instructor to be more then ample as the instructor cannot ride the bike for you and they are at every exercise giving you pointers and tips every pass you do and you are on the bike 95 percent of the time of the course there is litterally no other course that is as much bang for your buck. I cannot wait to go and get my class 6 licence and continue with there advanced programs, Chris has an amazing business that had a smile across my face from the minute I turned the bike on to the minute I walked out with my certificate, if anyone is unsure about motorcycling or want new skills do yourself a favour and come to tnt, 100 percent will be back

Hayden Visscher 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I did both the riders elements and riders tactics course. I honestly don't know how someone who has never touched a motorcycle before would have a chance at passing their road test without this course, instructors were great, bikes are great, and overall a good experience. They definitely need to update the website a but as it's not a 2:1 instructor to student ratio, rather 6:1 but it really doesn't matter in course. The only real complaint is the rental gear is overpriced especially if you need more than just a jacket and helmet but it's a small investment. I can 100% say that I would not have passed my road test without their help. Chris, Daniel, Eric,Juliana, and my number 1 guy Deryl, are all fantastic people. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I took the rider elements course with a very minimal riding experience. I bought a bike and then took the course. I ended up passing, which was great as it was something I was hugely concerned and worried about. The skills that were taught will definitely help me as a new rider gaining experience. Chris and JT were very helpful. Answering all the questions and leading by example. They were real and honest and patient, allowing a safe space to learn and make mistakes. I would highly suggest the rider elements course.

Fantastic experience: Definitely worth the price, you will learn everything you need to know to ride a motorcycle defensively and confidently, the instructor Chris makes all the difference he’s patient and a great instructor, since take the course I’m way more confident on the road. Thank you Chris and all the member at TNT

Fantastic experience: I completed the Rider Elements Course May 12-13, 2023, best decision ever. The instructors (Steve and Andrew) were amazing, knowledgeable, answered my questions and helped with any concerns I had. Highly recommend TNT if your looking for a course and not sure where to go. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you TNT!

Denver Peters 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: As a completely new rider, I thought a fundamentals course would be beneficial. This course heavily outweighed my expectations. It’s more than a basics course, it’s a full comprehensive riders experience. From first start up to real road work. I left class 6 test ready. 10/10 would recommend.

Andrea 2 years ago

Positive experience: I took the beginner course recently. I went into it with very little knowledge of riding, had never even driven a standard in my life. The first night was great. I left there feeling confident. But it ran late and then had to be back there by 7:45 the next morning. I was sore from the first night and needed more time to rest and to feel comfortable with the basics. The second day moves very fast, by the end of the day the goal is for you to be up to 100km/h on the highway. I unfortunately didn't gain the confidence fast enough for that. I would say that if you're a little older, like or need more time to learn new skills, prefer a more one on one approach etc then adjust your expectations for this course. I had to just say to myself I'll get as much as I can out of it. The instructors were great and showed me a lot of patience. It was 2 instructors to 12 students. I have the basics down now and am fortunate to know a lot of riders, so will get lots of practice on my own.

Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of doing the one-on-one rider tactics course with Daryl. It was a great 2 hours. He was extremely professional and very helpful with my riding. He offered lots of advice, tips, pointers etc. A lot of it I already knew but he helped make it that much more ingrained in my head about some things. Money well spent and I 100% recommend using his expertise if you’re wanting to improve your riding skills.

Fantastic experience: Took the Rider Elements course and unfortunately didn’t make the full course as I couldn’t safely make it to the last bit but the first day was great and the instructors are really friendly! I had a lot of anxiety and nerves as there is definitely a lot to a bike. But everyone I talked to was so friendly and although I couldn’t make it to the last bit, I hope they passed! I was extremely new and although I dropped the bike () and wasn’t too confident on it, the instructors made me feel a little better and let me hop back on to strengthen my skills. Even if I wasn’t in the course for too long, I feel more confident than when I first stepped into the course and although I’ve got long ways to go to be a confident, safe rider, I’m glad I got to learn the absolute basics here. Most likely going to try to take another course when I’m ready. I’ll also add that the course is quite fast-paced and after a few rounds of one drill they will get you onto the next even if you’re not solid on the previous drill! I think someone like me who takes time to learn a skill, it was quite overwhelming but again the instructors were very knowledgeable and nice and understanding even if I did drop their bike and wasn’t the best at the drills!!

Positive experience: Equipment appears to be in good shape, location is great, instructions were acceptable, most instructors were friendly. The beginner course is recommended for people who know the basics of motorcycles already. Value for price paid and overall experience are okay.

Fantastic experience: With no motorcycle experience at all prior to the course. The instructors were great and very knowledgeable. Made me feel very comfortable on the bike with gradual progressions. Took my class 6 week after and passed the road test. Very thankful to be apart of TNT driving school.

Negative experience: My original review was too long for Google. I gave them 3 stars initially, but after their poor response to my review on Facebook (full review there), I have decided 1 star is more appropriate. As well, I realized that I paid for a full course experience, but was sent home 3 hours early! I wanted to keep learning and I should have been entitled to that time since I paid for it. Suffice to say, I should have just learned from friends and YouTube to save myself from this experience. I only recommend this to people who already have some experience on a bike and thrive in group situations.

Fantastic experience: I took the “Rider Elements - Learn to RIDE” course at TNT and wow.. what a great experience. I walked in with zero experience on a motorcycle (have not touched one nor sat on one) and I left with so much confidence that I bought a bike a few days after. There are 12 students and 2 instructors with a lot portion (motorcycle basics, low speed maneuvering) and a road portion (riding on the streets and in the neighbourhood). Chris and Joe were amazing instructors that provided tons of feedback and answered all of my questions. After the course, I did my road test two weeks later and passed with flying colours. If you want to learn how to ride, I HIGHLY recommend taking a course here. You will not regret it. Listen to the instructors, ask questions, and be confident!

Kevin Hubbard 3 years ago

Positive experience: The majority of instructors were very helpful and the drills covered all the basics, but I would hesitate to call their beginner course beginner friendly. The accelerated nature of their two day course makes it difficult to practice on your weaker skills before being thrown into the next set of drills. Everyone I've talked to has expressed the same feeling of being rushed through. Unfortunately because each new skill you learn builds on the last skill you learned an hour ago, you're going to either sink or swim.

Ashley Moodie 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Coming into the course with zero experience and a ridiculous amount of anxiety + dislike of group settings…but I could not give this course less than five stars. Two instructors + one in training meant plenty of time to ask questions, observe, and receive feedback or encouragement. I went from being terrified of bikes to understanding the fundamentals needed to operate a bike safely. For me personally a day and a half is not enough time to learn, but I left with a solid understanding of the skills I need to work on. Nothing explained in the classroom was filler or a waste of time - each instructor explains things concisely and effectively. Shoutout to Dan, you will be an amazing instructor!!!

Fantastic experience: I took the beginner course this spring and went into it with absolutely no motorcycle experience. I found the course to be very informative and prepared me adequately for becoming a safe, confident rider. The instructors were knowledgeable and genuinely care about motorcycle safety. Everyone should take a course and TNT is a wonderful place with reasonable rates! I'm proud to say that after the course and a summer of practicing, I passed my road test on the first try! My only issue was the TNT online test was a little glitchy, and kept crashing while I was trying to write it.

Fantastic experience: Chris and the staff at TNT Motorcycling were fantastic to interact with. Awesome instruction, clear and timely feedback, as well as lots of seat time to work on the variety of skills required to operate a motorcycle effectively. Their tailored coaching allowed me to pass my road test with confidence the very next day. Highly Recommended!

Fantastic experience: I bought my son and I this training course for his birthday. He had zero riding experience, and I hadn't been on a bike for about 30 years. The instructors are friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. The course itself is amazing. Once you pass the course you can book your class 6 road test, and they will let you use their bikes. I highly recommend this course! I can't say enough good things about it. You will be 100 % satisfied.

Fantastic experience: So I booked the rider elements course with ZERO experience on a bike, I passed my course did more practice on a rental to practice more on the road and 4 days later from sitting on a bike for the first time I have my class 6 in my pocket. (I'm not saying everyone will) but to emphasize The conference, control and saftey I've gained from being taught by professionals got me here so fast. I am now ready to continue learning and having fun with my new summer hobby thank you Gord, Steve and Katrina for being such patient knowledgeable and professional instructors 10/10 DO THIS COURSE!!!! Whoohooo I'm so excited for this new chapter ps book early in the year they fill up fast

Negative experience: If you want to learn how to pass the road test, this is the place to come. If you want to learn to ride a motorcycle then keep looking. I chose this course after speaking with the sales man that sold my husband his motorcycle. The dealership also turned out to be a sponsor of this company. The reviews on the website and google all seem to be positive. My end goal was to be able to ride beside my husband on road trips this summer. I took the course May 2021. My class was a 6:1 ratio. I have never drove a motorcycle before and I did learn how to operate the controls. Negative side of it, my instructor was not well verse in teaching different styles of learning. Day 1 (5hrs), all interactions were as a group. Day 2, the feed back I received was either "need to work on that" or "that was good". My internal response was "Thanks Captain Obvious." My expectations were that the instructor would breakdown the movement and how the steps can be improved. Several times he waved me over to chat about irrelevant things like "you have an interesting spelling of your name" . When I left the course, I felt less comfortable even riding double with my hubby. I still want to ride, and I plan on taking a course through a different provider. Some additional things to be aware of before signing up for this course; This course has you on the back of a motorcycle for very long periods. This course is one day shorter then comparable courses at a higher price. There are frequent sales pitches to buy your insurance at the register/ broker owned by the course owners as well as take your test at the same location.

TNT Motorcycling Ltd
TNT Motorcycling Ltd

Confused on your review. We have taught people to ride motorcycles for over 20 years and we do not teach to any class 6 test. (Which it sounds like you passed). Chris is the owner and I was out there and guarantee if you voiced your concerns to myself or the instructors instead of saying nothing, your concerns could have been dealt with. Yes. We have a lot of riding time and that is how we teach how to ride. Practice and seat time. Have no idea why you feel uncomfortable riding with your husband after learning to ride yourself. There is no sales pitches to get insurance at our company brokerage other than we advise we have a specialized insurance program for all of our students. (No other rider training provider has this benefit for graduates). We also only use West End Registries to enable all of our graduates to book a road test and use our bikes for no additional charge as part of the course. (Other providers charge extra money to use a test bike. Having 1 registries do our testing allows us to be more efficient and offer more test availability’s. West End registries now hired 2 additional examiners to keep the waiting times shorter. Overall we wish you well and we always promote taking more courses through out your riding years as no single course will make you a superstar.

Fantastic experience: A great course to take for new riders and as a refresher for licensed riders to shake off any rust and pick up some invaluable tips from a knowledgeable and friendly crew. The general rule of thumb, given the average coefficient of friction for a road surface, is that you’ll lose 1 mm of your flesh for every 1.6 kph you are going over 50 kph when you hit it and slide. Put away the flip flops and the t-shirt, invest in proper gear and take some training and then take some more. Ride smart, ride safe.

Fantastic experience: I was really nervous about learning to ride but they were so patient and encouraging. I learned so much and I feel way more confidant then I did going into this course. They pushed me out of my comfort zone as they had more faith in my ability then I did and it showed me what I'm actually capable of. Highly recommend these guys! Fantastic experience: From initial hesitancy on whether this was going to be a wise, and smart choice as being trained to ride a bike from the right training provider is essential. But more importantly taught the fundamentals on how to ride safely with a proactive approach; can be a rare find. I found the following with my experience in taking both the Rider Elements, and Rider tactics 1. - Customer Service with Julianna was very rare to find ( pleasant to talk to and willing to accommodate rescheduling needs with proper notice). - My Instructor (Rider Elements) Ernie was willing to tell bad jokes, just to break the ice and make everyone feel confrontable; he even was willing to share experiences that only someone with a great amount of experience would be willing to share, this would be examples of.. I tell you this so you can learn from my mistakes and this is why we teach what we teach. - Lastly Tactics 1 Instructor Chris; well he was willing to break the ice and put himself out there to make me confrontable and make sure that I was put at ease, so that I could relax and actually learn how to apply the Rider Elements principles to practice and made sure that if I needed anything improved it was well addressed. Given this course mainly on the road, Chris brought many things to my attention even have been driving with a class five for just over two and half decades. Finally I would only say this... for what price are you willing to put on yourself to make sure that every time you ride it is done with an educated, safe, proactive manner solidifying yourself to have the best experience on the roads today with all sorts of drivers, on todays congested roads.

Fantastic experience: I have never ridden a motorcycle in my entire life and I recently took the rider elements course this year (2021). They start off very slow and make you feel very comfortable on the bike. Soon enough you feel comfortable to do low speed maneuvers in the parking lot and then eventually to go onto the road. By the end of the course I felt very comfortable riding the bike in traffic and received my class 6 license a week later!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely no regrets about taking the Ryder Elements training. It worth the money. I had little experience riding motorcycle and I wanted to get my class 6. I didn't know what to expect on road test, didn't know where to rent motorcycle for test and I wanted to get good skills to be safe on road. TNT answered all of my questions, they provide bike for test after successfull completion of the course, also you can book road test through them and lower your insurance payments. Big value for the money. It was two great days. Thanks to Gord for help and useful advices.

Fantastic experience: When I began my research for a motorcycle training course, I decided on TNT, based on reviews and word of mouth. My wife and I have just completed the training and I can say, 100%, that this is an excellent training program. We came to the program with very limited riding experience but, after 2 days with Chris, Gord, Joe, and Taylor, the knowledge we are walking away with is immense. The course was very well organized and a lot of fun. Not only will I, now, enjoy riding but, I will also take pride in my riding. Thank you all for the great work that you do; it is obvious that you care about the sport.

Jakie Ng ARIVL 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Just finished the course and it was by far one of the most organized, efficient, well ran education course I've ever been on. We had Chris and Joe. Class sizes were dropped to 8 (divided 4/instructor) due to covid which is more ideal with the increased level of personal attention they can now provide. The lot location was the West end Christian Assembly which is more than enough to safely learn on. Well paved, clean and level ground, bikes were brand new/new with options of the enduro bike or a smaller nimble Grom. Given the level of comfort, this is great for those who are more nervous riding. The course learning process is very very well organized and focused on plenty of supervised hands on practice time and information is presented clearly and effectively with lots of opportunity for questions. Day 1 is focused on basic skills and Day 2 elements of the lot test as well as short road ride (based on instructor opinion of your skills). The road ride was a well earned life situation experience and I cannot stress how important the experience of the instructor came in with clear communication and queues to maintain safe riding practices. Best reasons to go with TNT: Experience in training and commitment to excellence. Patience and communication. Well maintained newer equipment. Preparedness. Ability to use their bikes for road tests or life long practice. Additional practice for great value if you need it. Only negative I would say is the reading material before the course could be better presented and organized rather than number of PDF docs to download. A video done by the instructors or one PDF would have been better and more effective. 5 star all the way, Thank you Chris, Joe and Taylor for all your hard work and commitment in offering exceptional training experience learning how to ride.

Fantastic experience: Friendly welcoming group that are there to help. I had never ridden a motorcycle before showing up, but within an hour of the course starting we were on running motorcycles. There is a lot of information to take in, but the course is designed to give you the basics and build confidence through repetition and then build on that success. Gord is a gem! I am in awe... I went from never having to ridden to being on the road in 13.5 hours. I may not be road test worthy yet, but I have the hands on knowledge to go get on my own bike and apply that skill set. It was a cold wet wknd - if you are faced with same weather - pack an extra set of cloths... including socks! I will be back for more training :) Thanks TNT!

Fantastic experience: I can only say good things - I have just finished and passed my Rider Elements program hours ago (in rain for close to 15 hours both days combined) and I had to give praise and credit for Chris and Gord, both friendly, humorous and down to earth instructors. Chris owns the school and he clearly has too many years of motorcycle rider knowledge and for tremendous reasons. I woke up recently one morning and thought of purchasing a bike. I've even told myself I wouldn't get one because of how dangerous it is. Chris and Gord recognize the dangers and stress that safety is a priority, like with any sport you pick up. The point is, I have zero experience on a motorcycle and a huge gap in my manual transmission experience since (18 years ago). They taught me how to ride a motorcycle like your mom or dad would teach you how to ride a bicycle in no time at all. I felt comfortable and that is because of my trust in these men. Every advice and ask from them I had followed through and they gave me confidence every time because they would acknowledge that I've followed their advice and provided me with additional tips to continue. Every hour of this course that goes by is a different activity and something learnt. I've grown my skills from each activity presented and they all add up at the end. Everything you learn in the lot is transferred on the road. 90% of the time you're on your bike learning, the 10% is theory and discussion. Furthermore, Gord is a remarkable instructor too. He saw the nervousness I had and he acknowledged that and he gave me reassurance every time. He allowed me additional practices to perfect any activity and to get ready for my road test with Chris and the Lot test at the end. Thank you Gord for what you do and I admire your ability to instruct. Thank you Chris for serving the motorcycle community in Edmonton and every where else. I'm sure you know you make an impact and share the good in motorcycling. I hope to participate in the Rider Tactics soon, to learn more from you.

Fantastic experience: I attended the Learn to Ride course as a Birthday present to myself. As someone with zero experience, I had a blast and feel like I am well on my way to being a successful, SAFE, motorcyclist. The owner, Chris, has a fine attention to detail and works to ensure his students are well equipped on the road. If he doesn't think one is safe going out, he and the other instructors work tirelessly to make sure one understands any mistakes being made. This was such a positive experience for me (a 29yo female) that i recommend it to other women who are interested in learning motorcycle skills. You will find them here, along with an introduction to a great community.

They will teach you some great skills that will help keep you safe on the road and provide some great information for your road test. Thanks for all the knowledge TNT, worth every cent and I will highly recommend!

Brandi Burns 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: Chris and Flaviu were so incredibly patient and professional. It was amazing to watch as new riders went from wobbling, fumbling, stalling, and dumping bikes on their first day to performing complex shifting, braking, and balancing techniques on their second. The whole while they were encouraging and helping students to gain confidence. I felt like this was a very safe learning environment lead by a very kind team of instructors who had a geniune passion for not only riding but also teaching. New drivers of any type of vehicle are often frustrated with themselves and processing and trying to coordinate all the new information, the last thing people need is an impatient or arrogant instructor and its like they just totally got that. The level of empathy they displayed you would never know they had been driving forever. Everyone in my group recieved one on one assistance and feedback on every maneuver with whatever specific challenges they were individually dealing with. I read one review below that claimed they are money hungry, and I am now about to enter a bit of a rant. I always listen to what other people say and put it on the shelf and ultimately make my own judgements. After experiencing the school I can say thats the opposite of reality. The reality is the course itself is a couple bucks more than others but here is what you get.. they provide newer and well maintained equipment. They offer rental gear cleaner than go-karting facilities so you dont have to make that initial investment if your just trying it out and not sure. (no one else does that). They provide on road skills training (no one else does that either). They provide graduates with the ability to practice for free on their equipment during lunch hour time frames. (CTEC used to do that but now they no longer offer motorcycle training- so now this is the only place). They will drop off their bike for you to use for your road test anywhere in edmonton for free for graduates. (what!? No rental fee?) All of these things have an expense attatched to them. Who pays for the fuel/maintenance/extra road insurance/site rental/equipment/instructor salaries etc.? I mean its held in a church parking lot but god had never given me cash before I dont know about you. So you pay like what $40 extra and get hundreds of dollars back in value. You could always go to another school and pay for your bike rental ($70), get no free practice, pay extra for road instruction ($250) buy a helmet ($100). Im sure the other schools offer great instruction too idk but the money hungry claim cheesed me a bit because I read the review before the course and I was mentally prepared for some kind of sales pitch or hidden fee or something and nothing like that happened at all. I look forward to my free practice time using their gas and equipment and free rental for my road test #thankyouverymuch. Hey maybe god really does give cash??? o.0

Fantastic experience: I was very fortunate to be referred to TNT by a family friend. The instructors were beyond knowledgeable, very encouraging and patient. They make the class fun and informative. The course layout was very organized and designed to to accommodate all type of learning styles and help people who learn at different paces. The company personnel works very hard to do what they can to help every individual in the class achieve success. They were very intuitive, and were able to recognize quickly where students excelled and what areas needed to be improved. If the requirements to pass the course are still not quite met, the company offers options to work with the student to help the student meet their goal. The company genuinely cares about helping people learn, while ensuring that everybody on the road is safe. 6/5 stars to TNT and a huge shout out to Joseph, Flaviu and Chris for being exceptional instructors. Would recommend TNT to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I took the beginner's course in 2017, and it was awesome. Previously i had never been on a motorcycle once in my life. The beginners course taught me everything i needed to know on how to ride a motorcycle, and how to handle it properly. Although i was really nervous i did end up passing my road test on the first try with no practice in between from the course( 2 week gap) I am considering taking one of the advanced courses now. Instructors were great, and helped out if you needed. Steer clear of the negative reviews, they're probably people who did not pay attention in the course and ended up failing.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended! I was very worried before as I've never ridden a motorbike or driven a manual car and don't have my own bike to practice. I took the Rider Elements course with TNT and was up and riding after the weekend. The instructors (Doug Wasy, Heather, and Joe were all really helpful for absolute beginners and encouraging). I passed the weekend course but felt I needed more practice with gear shifting and getting comfortable riding on the road so I took two Rider Tactics course after that. I was fortunate enough to have Chris (owner) himself teach me and he pinpointed exactly what my problem was and how to fix it (and gave me tons of other useful tips). Passed my exam right after that! Thank you so much Chris and everyone at TNT!
