Welcome to Gibson Driver Education, where our mission is to equip new drivers with the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and responsible driving. Based in Thorold, we have proudly served the Niagara region for 27 years, blending high-quality instruction with affordable pricing.

Our comprehensive driving course consists of 20 hours of classroom training, 10 hours of independent study, and 10 hours of private one-on-one in-car instruction. Additionally, we offer a free pick-up service for in-car lessons (with certain restrictions). As an approved course provider by the Ministry of Transportation, successfully completing our Defensive Driver Education Course will not only enhance your driving capabilities but also lead to a 4-month reduction in your G1 waiting period and potential maximum insurance discounts.

We believe in making learning enjoyable, with our fully qualified instructors dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment. Our engaging approach ensures that students not only grasp the rules of the road but also develop the confidence to become responsible drivers.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with my driving instructors! My first ever driving lesson was with Tari, and she took me out for a relaxing first lesson, teaching me the rules of the road. My lessons afterwards were with Tina, as she had a schedule that fit my own, making it easier to start learning. I had only 3 lessons with Tina and I passed with no errors with only a month experience driving!!! I cannot thank you enough Tina and Tari. I couldn’t recommend Gibsons enough :)

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about Gibson Driver Education! My daughter learned so much from the in-class portion and even enjoyed it. Both the in class instructor an in car instructor were top notch; so patient, informative and friendly; really put my daughter at ease. She felt ready and confident and passed her driving test with no problem! I highly recommend.
