Positive experience: It was a great learning experience, good pointers and advice. Reasonable price too.

Fantastic experience: I have 4 friends who also learn from him, and none of us have any complaints. Short version: - Kind, patient, and never angry. - Grade and explain each skill to you at the end of each lesson. Long version: Dang is kind and patient. He speaks softly, even when I make a mistake, which helps me feel calm. He explains everything in a way that's easy to understand. He even draws on the board to show me the problem. His goal is not just to prepare you for the test, but to teach you how to drive safely for life. At the end of each lesson, he gives a clear review of your driving skills. He marks your performance and explains why you got that grade, what you need to improve, and what you should focus on for the next lesson. He never rushes or counts the time he spends explaining or reviewing your skills. If I need extra clarification after the lesson, I can ask him for 5 to 7 more minutes, and it's free. Note: I passed the Class 5 road test on Feb 07 2025 with zero mistakes on the test result paper.

Fantastic experience: I took three classes with Dan, and I finally passed my Class 5 exam on my third attempt! Dan guided me through all the hazardous areas of the location, was very patient, and answered all my questions during our lessons. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Even if you have previous experience driving, I encourage you to take a few lessons with this school, because ICBC takes very seriously the Road Test, and Dan knows exactly what it is. After only 2 minutes (literally), Dan detected my weaknesses right away! Thanks to him, I got my license without a single mistake!!! Excellent score!!! Before I knew about this school, I tried the Road Test on my own, and miserably failed! Yes, there are a few differences here in Canada and ICBC take it very seriously! After that, I asked Dan if he could instruct me, so he could teach me the things ICBC expects, plus the tricky known spots in the area... The exam was a success! It didn't feel difficult at all... The route the ICBC examinator took, was basically what I practiced with Dan. The traffic challenges faced in the exam, were previously discussed with him as well... Fantastic experience: I passed my class 5 license today Apr 12th on my 1st attempt after taking lessons with Dan. Dan is very nice and detail oriented teacher. He showed me all the driving skills required to pass the driving test as long as using it in my future driving. He explained to me all the common mistakes and how to avoid them. I am very confident to drive after taking the lesson from him. And I also had a very good time driving the toyota corolla hybrid, extremely smooth and quiet. There is a tip I want to share to future learners. I note down all the mistakes I make during lessons and mock tests so I have a very clear plan on the road test.
