Fantastic experience: I was incredibly lucky to have Peter H as my driving instructor. Peter is just as knowledgeable as he is eloquent. He speaks clearly and simply. His demeanor is calm and consistent. Despite making errors, Peter continued to provide reassurance and tips. He provides the SPACE for learning. His style of teaching makes you feel safe. At the end of my lessons, I felt way more certain in my abilities and choices while driving. I was able to pass my G2 road test the first time, which honestly shocked me. Peter said it best: "it is night and day from when you first got in the car"

Fantastic experience: I had Peter H. as my driving instructor and cannot say enough good things about him. Peter was excellent at preparing me for the g2 road test and I was able to pass with all the tips he was able to provide. Right from the very first lesson I felt very much at ease and by the last lesson I was driving with confidence!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my G1 exit test with flying colours thanks to my instructor, Peter H. I thought I was a lost cause heading into my driving lessons (I'm your typical nervous driver; slow learner) but Peter got me into tip top shape. He's tough when he needs to be but encouraging as well and instilled in me the confidence I needed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. Peter H was my instructor, and his tips for passing the g2 road test and driving, in general, were super helpful to me. He explained the mechanical driving maneuvers in a straightforward way that was easy to comprehend. He also had cool driving stories and simplified driving for me. Peter H is solid.

Negative experience: Since COVID, they have stopped attempting to deliver on purchased packages. Instructors cancel and no-show with no communication whatsoever. You will wait 3-5 months for your scheduled lesson and the instructor will not even show up. They refuse to issue a refund even though they are incapable of delivering a single lesson. I have not had one lesson since I purchased my package in March 2020, and my latest no-show was last week. Go to a small local instructor instead and save your money.

Negative experience: Terrible terrible terrible. Find another course! Customer Service is disgusting! YD takes your money then you find out there are no instructors available for 5 months!!! They won’t pick up and there are no in class courses anymore, yet prices have increased $200 during the past 2 years. All they have figured out how to do is make more money! Seriously- not at all with the money or aggravation!!! Find another course!! I would give zero stars if I could!! Scheduler Jim is particularly condescending and unhelpful!

Fantastic experience: If you live in Beaches-East York, you want Peter as your driving instructor. I put off learning to drive for a long time because I was too nervous and insecure. I’m so happy I had Peter. He was calm, patient, and encouraging with me. He taught me practical techniques and reference points to help me learn how to drive safely and execute my low speed maneuvers for Toronto driving situations. Today I passed my G2 road test on the first try in spite of me being a very nervous person and 8 months pregnant. Thank you YD and thank you Peter!

Fantastic experience: Peter is a shining example of a driving instructor. Super helpful and supportive.

Negative experience: Some of the worst communication I have experienced, cancel lesson, no communication, cancel test, no communication.

Negative experience: Firstly, the online LMS was terrible. My child spent 100 hrs... for a 30% completion. This was replaced by virtual classes (which we had to call to find out). In the virtual class, administrative processes didn't capture the attendance properly, or test results meaning multiple retakes were needed of a test. We actually don't know where we are in the process because there's no portl that shows current progress that's accurate. YD course material is useful, but hard to find the value when it requires so much extra work due to admin or system issues on the YD side.

Positive experience: 1st time round was fine, if your looking 4 an easy testing centre look no further.

Fantastic experience: My experience with both the in-class and in-car instruction was great! My in-car instructor, Peter Huynh, was a great teacher, and gave me the confidence I needed as a new driver.

Negative experience: I learned after my course was done that any other YD locations outside Toronto charge 30%-50% less than any Toronto location. I liked the teachers but they are no better than other locations.

Fantastic experience: Matt Snowball is one of the most patient teachers I have had the joy to have. He was very good at showing me things and he taught me defensive driving very well. He is very nice and good humoured as well as being very calm, all vital attributes in a driving instructor. He explains the rules well and makes sure that the students gets it. A really amazing experience.
