Tri County Driving Academy
Founded in 2013, Tri County Driving Academy is a locally owned and family-run institution in Orangeville, Ontario, dedicated to shaping safe, confident, and defensive drivers. As an approved provider by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), we offer a comprehensive Beginner Driver Education course that includes 20 hours of classroom instruction, 10 hours of in-vehicle training, and a 10-hour Home Link activity. Our mission is to provide more than just a license; we aim to instill a lifelong respect for road safety and responsible driving.
What sets us apart is our commitment to personalized attention and proven results. Our instructors, led by Rex Tabsing, are professionally trained, patient, and hold university degrees, ensuring a high success rate for first-time road test attempts. We utilize state-of-the-art computer driving simulators and up-to-date MTO-approved curricula to prepare students for real-world conditions, from city streets to high-speed highways. Whether you are a first-time driver, a parent enrolling your child, or someone new to the province, we offer flexible scheduling, including weekday, weekend, and evening options, as well as fully online course formats.
Our services extend beyond standard lessons. We offer specialized coaching for G1, G2, and full G license road tests, covering everything from parallel parking and collision avoidance to fuel-efficient driving techniques through our Auto$mart Training partnership. We also provide one-on-one private in-car lessons with pickup and drop-off services for local students. In addition to our educational excellence, we are proud to give back to the community; since April 2020, we have donated to SickKids Hospital in Toronto, with $10 from every enrollment contributing to this cause. Tri County Driving Academy combines affordability, professional instruction, and a genuine care for your safety, making us the top choice for driver education in Dufferin County.

Fantastic experience: Rex was an excellent driving instructor. He is calm and makes his clients feel at ease, especially when they are young and new to driving. He was very flexible in his appointments and my son was able to get his G2 first try.
Negative experience: Horrible website! It said my phone has been hacked!
Fantastic experience: Rex was a great instructor who helped me pass both my G2 and G test on the first try! Not only did he teach me potential test routes, but also gave me several tips and tricks. I Would definitely recommend learning from him!
Fantastic experience: I am so happy that I pass my G2 test. Rex is such a gem of person. Trust me I was challenging for him but he handled me so well. He was so calm and the lesson he gave me was a eye for detail. He exactly know,s the way where the instructor will take you for the test. And he use to take me to the same 3 route where the instructor take you. I would certainly say I just got my test pass because of rex. Earlier I had a instructor who use to take me to the far away route. And was very annoying. I switched to rex. Within 4 class I was perfect. I would certainly recommend rex for your driving class. Because once you're are in rex hand,s that means you have pass the test. Trust me he will teach all the possible way, s. I would certainly recommend rex. Thanks for all your help
