Fantastic experience: I didn't expect to be fully capable of driving in downtown Toronto by the end of Lesson 5. I would highly recommend these lessons to anyone willing to acquire the skill! Carlos is a really good driving instructor and provided me really helpful information to make stick shifting easy to learn.

Fantastic experience: I just finished a 5-class, 90 minutes each session course with Carlos Tomas at Shifters in Etobicoke, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Carlos is an incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructor, which made learning to drive stick way less intimidating. From the first lesson, he had a way of explaining things that just made sense, especially with the clutch and shifting gears. What really stood out was how calm and encouraging he was throughout the lessons. Even when I made mistakes, he’d guide me through it without making me feel pressured. By the end of the course, I felt confident and comfortable driving a manual, which I never thought would happen! If you’re looking to learn or brush up on your manual driving skills, I highly recommend Carlos—he’s amazing at what he does.

I had some experience with driving manual but really needed a refresher before a bit of manual driving I have coming up, and Carlos's lesson was exactly what I needed. Fantastic experience: I had 5 lessons with Carlos, and by the 4th lesson I was driving standard confidently in traffic on main roads. He was an excellent teacher who brought me from having zero experience with manual transmission to enjoying the experience and technicalities of driving these types of cars. Fantastic experience: Carlos is an excellent instructor! Very approachable and patient and especially knowledgeable. He taught me not only the fundamentals of the manual transmission but the fundamentals of driving. I don't regret my time at Shifters, and would recommend them to anyone not only wanting to learn to drive a manual transmission, but driving in general.
