Negative experience: I would literally give this dirthole negative stars if I could. Tony (the short ghanaian man) is the worst teacher on earth. He gets mad and screams for even the littlest mistakes, he even threatened to block me because of a mistake (which literally makes no sense). He kept comparing me to other students and was angry I wasn't progressing as fast, which can be very detrimental to one's learning. A teacher is supposed to be calm and patient, Tony possesses absolutely none of these qualities. Almost seems as if he's taking out his anger out on you. I asked him if we were making a turn and he said don't talk to me. Only for the next lesson he was complaining that I wasn't talking. Extremely unprofessional. Horrible experience, never again.

Negative experience: I contacted MSB Driving School to book my G road test. They initially told me that the only available date was June 3rd, so I booked the appointment through them. Without consulting me, they rescheduled my test to June 17th and later informed me that the June 3rd appointment was cancelled. Being new to Canada, I decided to check for available dates myself a few days later and found an open slot for June 4th. I promptly booked the appointment on my own. Despite my efforts to reach MSB Driving School to inform them, my calls went unanswered. There was an instructor from MSB who was supposed to assist me, but the communication was terrible. They are now blaming me for the confusion, claiming it was my fault, despite their lack of professionalism and poor handling of the situation. Their disorganized approach left me feeling stressed and uncertain about my driving test preparation. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes, they shifted the blame onto me, further highlighting their unprofessional attitude. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel let down by their service. My experience with MSB Driving School was marked by unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. I strongly advise others to avoid this school and seek more reliable and professional driving instruction elsewhere.

Positive experience: If you want to pursue a career in driving here in Canada look nowhere, MSB is the place to go. Even if you have no driving experience back home, you will be handled by experienced professional instructors.

Negative experience: I’m not a customer but I saw a driving instructor change lanes in the middle of an intersection during rush hour on a busy street. This is basically the exact opposite of what a driving school should be doing, so I can only image what they’re teaching the students

Negative experience: I am here to tell you about my experience at MSB Driving School which spanned from Autumn of 2021 to Winter of 2022 as a girl in my late adolescence. I joined MSB Driving School in September of 2021 for their in-class driving lessons. The instructor made classes engaging and interesting, which I appreciated. However, a student in the class–no younger than 30 years–would make frequent jokes at me and would even wait for me after class. As I sat in the front row of the class and was a quiet individual, I assumed the instructor would warn their student to leave me alone, but instead he laughed along to some of the comments made. I was quickly assigned to a driver once my in-class lessons were completed, where majority of issues occurred. I originally asked to be paired with a woman driver, but the receptionist declined as only men were available at the time. During the first contact with my instructor, some miscommunication occurred between the driver and I, so I immediately called the receptionist to request a woman driver once more. She declined again, and called the driver to clear the miscommunication. The receptionist called me after, and when I told her that I still wanted another instructor, we ended up raising our voices at one another and I was ultimately left with the same driver. During my first lesson, the driver mocked me (in regards to the miscommunication) and made me read text messages–making fun of me. The driver, who is old enough to be my father, also slapped my thigh repeatedly when I stepped on the gas–as he requested (i.e. he accidentally yelled at me to step on the gas instead of the brake). He did all of this while I was nervous to be driving for the first time. After a couple of driving lessons, I could no longer reach the instructor to book lessons, so I called the receptionist to find a new instructor. The same receptionist from before picked up and told me that I could not get another driver. She was able to reach the driver, but our conversation did not end there. At the time, I was only available on certain days (as I was a high-school student preparng for university) which made it “difficult” for the instructor to set appointments with me. The receptionist suggested that I learned to drive with a family member (in Canadian winter), then take a couple of lessons with the instructor before my driving test. I immediately declined, as I paid to learn how to drive by professionals. I ended up driving with the instructor for about 5 days in winter break of 2021–leading into 2022. I’d like to note a couple of my experiences with the driver: 1. He never put the driving school sign on top of the car 2. He yelled at me, asking “can you hear me?” When I didn’t apologize or speak to him when I made an error - I would immediately fix my error each time he corrected me, so I do not understand why he was upset with me 1. He told me that “no one would give [me] my G2” because I had issues with checking my blindspot 2. He yelled at me repeatedly, to the point where I began to cry in front of him 3. He would take phone calls (with friends) that spanned through the entirety of each lesson. During our last lesson, he told me, “I talk on the phone to make you comfortable” - In reality, all I wanted was for him to pay attention to what I was doing By the end of our lessons, I still had major issues with driving, so I decided to book drop-in lessons with a rival company in Spring of 2022. I was immediately pleased with their services as the driver: 1. Complimented me on my skills 2. Provided constructive feedback 3. Sang catchy songs to help me remember certain skills 4. Never took phone calls (unless if they were to pick up the next student) 5. Reassured me that I would get my G2 no matter the location of the testing centre I ended up receiving my G2 in Autumn of 2022 I am writing to persuade you to spend your money, time, and energy elsewhere. Learning how to drive should be an enjoyable experience. I hope this helps!

Negative experience: Very bad experience. Not at all professional. They only need money and do not care for the students. They just need money and do not do their duties. Yosuf was the instructor and seems like he is the owner of the company. He tried to scam me and my friend

Fantastic experience: MSB driving school is the absolute best! I did my driving test with them and I’m regretting why I didn’t meet them earlier. Mr Yusuf’s knowledge-impacting and teaching skills is top notch. The best part is the manner of approach in teaching/correcting your mistakes without making you feel so terrible about your progress. Believe me when I say this is so crucial as I had an experience with another driving school but can tell the absolute difference! You can see and feel the genuineness of them wanting you to succeed and not just for them to make money. I completely recommend them 100% because even with all this they are one of the most affordable in the market.

Negative experience: Horrible and disrespectful staff. Everything is good untill you lock in and pay the fee. After you pay, the staff shows their true colors. Especially the manager Yousef, horrible human being with no customer service skills. He will talk down to you and treat you like trash with any questions that you ask. Anybody looking to find a driving school should look elsewhere, this place isn't worth the time or money.

Fantastic experience: I am very grateful that I had JOE BALA as my instructor. He was very friendly, really good teaching skills and most importantly patient with me, I have never driven a car in my life zero experience. He taught me everything I needed to know over the weekend for my exam which I passed on my first try. The best instructor for someone who English is a second language. Thank you JOE I will forever be grateful.

Negative experience: I had one lesson with Akosua and it was horrible; I cried. I had 10 lessons with an instructor from Smart Driving school before that and the experience was great. Akosua made me lose hope in ever fully learning to drive. Everything I did was a problem to her. I was so nervous and stressed out, I forgot everything I learned prior to going with her. She kept hitting my leg when I didn't understand what she was saying about the brakes. If I could give zero star I would. They need to get instructors who are patient and caring. You're there to teach people to drive. If you can't do that, then driving instructor is not the job for you.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Instructor is rude, didn’t teach properly, and worst of all, was always either using the phone or calling somebody. If I hadn’t asked, wouldn’t use a mask and was kinda upset when I asked him to wear one. If you are thinking of getting some classes, look for somewhere else.

Negative experience: The worst driving school known to man spent $800 and started lessons 2020 its about to be 2022 and i still dont have a license ! They are so rude so inconsiderate so disrespectful and SO MONEY HUNGRY ! They ask for the money and you'll never get any assitance or help you wont be prioritized and they force you to take your drivers test in Lindsay, ON just so they can charge you $250+ because the farther the distance the more the money so they want to benefit if you see this driving school run the other way THE WORST PLACE EVER ! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE i have now found myself the best driving school and I couldn't be happier All star driving school

Burt Bittersz 3 years ago

Negative experience: MSB Driving School is the worst I have come across. They are located in Toronto but choose to book your drive test in Lindsay. Could you Imagine going to Lindsay, with your own transportation organized and to be told that your appointment was cancelled two days before by MSB instructor? And was not informed by the school. With Covid it is so difficult to get an appointment. And with all the associated costs. Worst ever

Negative experience: I contacted him asking to set up a day for some driving lessons and he said that I wasn’t a good contestant because I didn’t know how to drive isn’t that what your job is to teach me that? But I was really looking forward to lessons with him but not anymore

Negative experience: This school needs to be shut down. They do not have any form of proper customer service. They have disrespectful, inappropriate instructors who have zero respect. If I could give negative stars I would because this place should be shut down.

Fantastic experience: With MSB, I did my G2 and G, my wife did her G and I refer a family friend who did his G. We all passed at one attempt. Book a couple of training with him before going for the training. He might be firm and tough on you during the training. This is because he REALLY want you to pass. I have used him four times as mentioned above and no cause for regrets.

Fantastic experience: Quite impressed with the setup, suitable for new drivers and for older drivers to kick away bad driving habits, the instructors are very professional, Yusuf himself is quite hands-on and knows what it takes to pass your road tests. I passed my test first time after drilling by Yusuf. I will recommend him to anyone because I have confidence in the school.
