JRS Driving School

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my fair share of experiences with different driving instructors, always relying on Google reviews to ensure they were top-notch. However, even when a driving school had hundreds of positive reviews, some instructors turned out to be disappointing, seemingly just there to make money off students. JRS Driving School was recommended by a friend who passed her road test on her first try. I reached out to Jarnail to see if he could help me with lessons in Vancouver, as my test was booked there. Unfortunately, he doesn’t cover Vancouver, so I had to go with another instructor. While that instructor was good and focused on helping me pass, my unfamiliarity with Vancouver roads led to me failing the test. Feeling disheartened by my experiences with previous instructors, I reached out to JRS Driving School again. This time, my road test was booked in Surrey, and luckily, Jarnail was available. I called him just a week and a half before my test, and he prioritized me by scheduling lessons. From the very first lesson, Jarnail provided constructive criticism and emphasized the importance of being a safe, mindful driver—not just passing the exam. His approach is thorough and thoughtful, focusing on safety for both myself and others on the road. During the second lesson, he took me through 3–4 different potential test routes and pointed out key things to watch for as a new driver. I learned more in those two lessons than I had in all my previous lessons combined. My third and final lesson with Jarnail was right before my actual road test. He took me on a drive using different routes, revisiting the tricky spots in the Guildford area, and highlighted the importance of checking my speed every 3 seconds. Jarnail explained that during the test, it’s not about how good or smooth you drive, but about how well you follow traffic laws and rules. Unlike my previous instructors, who mainly focused on just getting me to pass without explaining the reasoning behind actions, Jarnail ensured I understood why certain things are important. He’s strict when necessary but always encouraging, motivating, and confidence-boosting. There were times I doubted myself and told him I wasn’t ready, but Jarnail reminded me: “Be positive, be confident, follow all the rules and signs, watch your speed every 3 seconds, and you’ll be okay.” I followed these simple rules during the test, and by God's grace, the practice routes Jarnail took me on were exactly the same as those my examiner used. The tricky spots Jarnail prepared me for, like turning at bus-marked lanes or navigating roundabouts, appeared on my test, and I handled them with ease thanks to his guidance. Jarnail’s dedication to making you a safer, more aware driver is unmatched. He teaches you to think critically and remain calm under pressure, even when other drivers are impatient. Passing my road test and earning my “N” was a proud moment, but what matters most is that I’m now a better and safer driver overall. I’m so grateful to Jarnail for his expertise and guidance. I only took three lessons with him, yet I learned more than in all my previous lessons combined, trust me when I say this I had about 4 different instructors. I wish I had found him sooner instead of wasting time and money with other instructors. His rates are also very reasonable, especially considering the high-quality instruction he provides. I’m already recommending him to my little sister! If you’re looking for a driving instructor, look no further—Jarnail is simply the best.

Fantastic experience: The best instructor out there!!! I’ve had a lot of driving instructors and he is definitely the top one out there. I was finally able to get my N with his help!! He makes it easy to learn everything and is very patient when you make mistakes. Would highly recommend him to anyone that wants to pass their test !
