Fantastic experience: I contacted Pioneer Driving school in August to help me prepare for my full G driving test in September. I booked the package of 3 lessons and use of the instructor's vehicle for the test as well as an additional two lessons for full preparedness. Booking with Cathy was easy and flexible. My instructor Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He showed me all the places my examiner could take me and coached me through all the pitfalls that other drivers might miss. I'm happy to say I passed and couldn't have done it without Shawn's coaching! Thanks Pioneer!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this driving school. The online portion was a joke. lt was not geared towards driving in Ontario. The grammar and spelling was terrible. I was confused when it was talking about using your “winker” instead of “blinker” and the videos were childish musical cartoons . The in-car portion didn’t get any better. I think Cathy is a nice person but she isn't great at explaining things, gets mad when you cross invisible lines and is constantly grabbing the steering wheel. I lost so much confidence i almost quit driving altogether. In the end i finished the course and had a friend teach me to drive.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with this company. They list a specific address, but when you arrive, it’s just a bunch of different businesses—no sign of the company at all. When I called them to clarify, they casually mentioned they’re “remote.” If that’s the case, why not be upfront about it instead of misleading people with a fake business address? It’s frustrating and a complete waste of time. Please be honest about your operations to avoid inconveniencing others.

Fantastic experience: Just want to share how great this school is, Shawn and Cathy are amazing instructors. They are kind, patient, honest such lovey people. Shawn was my instructor I appreciate him believing in me giving me that boost of confidence I needed cant say enough how grateful I am. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Pioneer Driving School; I reached out to them short notice - on a Sunday - with a need to schedule A LOT of driving practice. They were professional, accommodating, and very supportive. After training with them for 1.5 weeks, I have successfully passed my G2 road test with flying colours!

Fantastic experience: An excellent driving school! My husband successfully completed his course a few years ago and is now a fully licensed driver with a clean record. Because of this, I also decided to use pioneer driving school in 2023. Compared to other driving school packages, their price is very reasonable. I had my 30 hours in class and in car with Cathy. I cannot recommend Cathy enough. She stays calm and naturally knows how to teach. Cathy went above and beyond. She brought me to the area where the road test takes place and helped me become familiar with the area. She worked around my schedule and made sure our last appointment was close to my road test date. I passed my G2 road test on my first try last week!! I truly owe my success to Cathy and pioneer driving school. I 100% recommend this company and Cathy.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Pioneer Driving School has been positive and has become successful for me. The in class learning was challenging but it paid off. I learned how to be a safer and more confident driver. Cathy was both my in-class and in-car driving instructor for the course, Cathy was a big help to me with her teaching and her in car lessons . I passed my G2 road test on my first try and I owe my success to Kathy and Pioneer Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything better. My instructor gave me the exact experience I needed to improve my driving. I went from a poor, overly cautious driver to passing my G2 road test! I would definitely recommend selecting a package that allows you to use the instructor's car for the road test.

Negative experience: absolutely awful experience. handouts that are a waste of time, the instructor told me I would probably fail in front of the entire class, had to wait 5 months for in-car lessons, Cathy was beyond rude and an awful instructor. only plus is I got my refund quickly

Fantastic experience: I did the sliver package at Pioneer Driving School and it was overall a great experience. The price is excellent compared to the other driving schools and after completing the whole course and in car lessons, I felt like a much better driver after. You are really getting a great experience for the amazing price. The in class lessons are very informative and the in car lessons help in every aspect to improve your driving skills. Also, I just recently passed my G2 test and I would not have been able to do it with out Pioneer!

Negative experience: I called pioneer driving school as it was cheaper than most. As a single mom during a covid pandemic, I wanted to get my driver's course done before I go back to schools in September. When I asked about bringing my 4 MONTH old to classes as they dont offer online, Katherine LAUGHED at me and rudely said no. I don't recommend this driving school at all. She could have said no in a polite manner as I was just asking before I spent money. She seemed very rude along with the other people I had talked to in the past few days. I ended up going to continental driving witch is offering online classes. Definitely more helpful than rude people that shame. Save your money. Go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: Ok guys I went to young drivers of Canada for 10 hours of lessons and I still prefer Catherine the manager of this school, she teaches the best and I have never learned this good from anyone, she is respectful and serious and reliable and I absolutely love her!

Negative experience: Queen if useless information! Absolutely useless and a waste of money! The teacher has no personality and would rather share experiences as opposed to teach. Outdated material with a bunch of video watching and photocopied review sheets. They have no ability in teaching anything relevant! Save your money or go somewhere else. Trust

Fantastic experience: I had Max for my in-car driving experience and he was amazing! He was always so upbeat and funny. He was also an amazing teacher who I was able to learn a lot from. Overall after these in-car lessons I gained confidence on the road.

Negative experience: The worst driving school ever. Instructor only teaches you how you are going to fail. Only boring stories of her stupid experiences. She makes you do her job by grading other students' exams and charge you hundred of dollars for nothing. She is not taking exams and homeworks seriously. I am suprised how she is still be able to keep open this driving school. She is also discriminating people. She allows others to leave early for go their works but doesn't allow me to leave early for religious requirements. First day's first half is all about how they are goingt to charge you money if you don't do what they want. Just waste of money and time. No matter what don't go here.

Negative experience: Do not call pioneer if you are driving standard, is a waist of money .

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at this driving school! I had Cathy for both the in-class and in-car classes (I don't believe this is common practice, I had a small class so it was easier to schedule). During the in-class segment I had no issues whatsoever. Cathy was both patient and clear with her instructions. As a mature (older) student, I really appreciated her no-nonsense cell phone and lunch rules, but some younger students may find these practices difficult. If you cant leave your phone in your bag for 5 hours (excluding the lunch break), learn how to before taking these classes. They are extremely easy to pass so long as you pay attention. Cathy was also wonderful for my in-car lessons. Though I'd been driving for 5 years before taking the classes, I still had lots of room to improve and learn. By the end of my lessons, Cathy made me feel confident that I would pass my test. Another great thing about these lessons was that Cathy took me everywhere! My sister took her lessons at a different driving school, where they took the same route every day, so she was impressed to hear that I was taking different roads every day. I would highly recommend this school to anyone! With this school and Cathy's help, I was easily able to pass my G2 test (the first time!) after putting it off for over five years.

Fantastic experience: It's great driving school, who actually cares about you and teaching you how to become good driver. I enjoyed it and would refer anyone to take this school. In two weeks I have learned a lot and I gained more experience and knowledge.

Fantastic experience: I went to this driving school a while back now but I had a great experience with Cathy, I would recommend this school for people who want to get their driver's license with ease and a lower insurance rate. I never failed any of the driving tests thanks to Pioneer!

Negative experience: Cathy the in class instructor was great but Mary the driving instructor was HORRIBLE. Her car barely works without jerking forward if you even look at the gas pedal. She also spent 30 minutes in my first lesson telling me how great she was and made me read EVERY card she got from a student.. she was basically telling me indirectly that I have to get her something. The actual driving was just as bad, she would tell me that she can't teach someone how to have a "feel" for the car but wouldnt actually tell me what I was doing wrong to begin with. We were reverse parking for the first time and she just kept telling me I wasnt doing it right but wouldnt tell me how to correct it which is her job. She also cancelled numerous times on me sometimes being the day of. If I should pay 25$ if I cancel then she should pay me for canceling. I work, she does not know if I took time off to do that lesson and just lost money like she would if I was a no show. The price is like everyone elses, might as well go to somewhere where you actually learn something

Fantastic experience: I loved this place, the owner is super nice and I will recommend this place to family and friends!

Positive experience: Max was the perfect driving instructor for me. He was patient, experienced, funny and an all-around nice person! He went over all the test curriculum multiple times and when I went to take my G2 test today, I passed! A very well-qualified instructor who definitely knows his field. Classroom portion of the course wasn't very interesting, but it's hard to make any of that seem interesting. Great price and great results!

Negative experience: Avoid this place like the plague. Over crowded classrooms, your child will not get the training they need to become a good driver. The driving instructors are a joke. My son had Max, absolutely terrible. Constantly talking on the phone, can barely speak English, teaches incorrect practices (like parallel parking while only using mirrors???) and then he will try to solicit a cash driving lesson right before the test and guarantee a pass yet there's nothing behind his "guarantee"? They just want your money. You get what you pay for and although you can find bargains in life Pioneer is not that. look elsewhere Pioneer is absolutely pathetic!

Negative experience: My son chose Pioneer over Young drivers based on a friends recommendation. His in car instructor Max felt it was more important to talk on his phone the entire lesson as opposed to giving constructive criticism or answering questions. After 10 driving lessons, my son felt he was no better prepared than before he started. He decided to purchase 5 in car lessons with Young Drivers($250) just so that he would feel more confident when practicing with myself or his mother. After one 45 min in-car lesson with his Young Drivers instructor, he said he learned more than his entire Pioneer experience. Its rather shameful that such things go on during in car time at Pioneer. For what we paid, its a downright ripoff. Although Young Drivers is slightly more expensive in comparison, you definitely get what you pay for. Consider yourself warned.

Positive experience: Pioneer driving school is a very affordable driving school if you are on a budget. Ms. Cathy is hard to understand at times because of her accent but if you pay attention its not a big deal. Then in car instructor i had was amazing, he was very happy and excited to help me pass my road test. Thanks again pioneer driving!

Negative experience: The biggest problem in this school is the manager (Mrs Cathy) who does not have neither the communication skills nor the decent personality that qualify her to be our class instructor. I suffered four days of very boring lessons with very tough interactions with her. To tell you the truth, she cannot be more rude. In addition, she may know some theoretical concepts. However, without any ability to apply when it comes to the real word.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say Pioneer Driving School has integrity. To my surprise, my daughter, “who is just a little stubborn” completed all her classroom requirements. In the in-car sections his instructor was very patient and productive with my daughter. He took the time to review with me her progress and he was a very professional young man. He let me know how she was doing and explained to me where I need to practice with her and I was amazed at how quickly he took her from a scary driver to someone I was comfortable with in the car. I can’t thank him enough for all his skills, patience and hard work with my daughter. I have no doubt that I got my money’s worth with Pioneer Driving School and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure no shortcuts are taken when preparing their son or daughter for a life of safe driving. Thanks again, Pioneer Driving School, we won’t soon forget what you did for us.

Negative experience: I choosed Pioneer Driving School for my son because of the cheap price and because they are offering the free car for the road test. Since I am a single parent, that was a good deal. First of all, my son had a hard time to finish his training and we find out that we need to pay to use their car in the road test because he did not meet their requirements, which is 90% on the final test with the instructor. The same thing happened to one of my friend daughter. Their advertising is a scam, watch out everyone.
