A legacy of safety and student confidence
Young Drivers of Canada stands as the nation's largest driver training organization, a distinction built on a foundation of safety and expertise since 1970. With over 140 service areas and more than 1.3 million graduates, the school has established itself as a trusted partner in helping Canadians drive collision-free. Their proprietary Collisionfree!™ Approach is not just a marketing slogan but a core methodology that emphasizes defensive driving and long-term safety habits, going beyond simple test preparation to create competent, confident motorists.
Highly rated instructors and personalized mentorship
The consistent thread running through student reviews is the exceptional quality of the teaching staff. Alumni frequently highlight instructors such as Paul, Gary, Bruce, Kelly, Shrawan, and Ernst for their patience, professionalism, and ability to put nervous students at ease. Many learners report that these instructors did more than just teach rules; they provided emotional support, calmness before tests, and personalized feedback that helped them pass their G2 or full license exams on the first attempt. The personal connection many students feel with their mentors is often described as the highlight of the experience.
Comprehensive curriculum and practical results
While the classroom portion covers essential road rules and safety theories, the in-car lessons are where the real transformation happens. Students consistently praise the practical application of defensive driving techniques, noting that the skills learned during behind-the-wheel sessions were crucial for their success on the road. The curriculum is designed to be easy to follow yet thorough, ensuring that graduates feel prepared for real-world driving scenarios in the GTA and beyond.

Young Drivers of Canada: Reviews
The most recent reviews on Google
Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with GSS Driving Instructor! From the very first lesson, I felt at ease and confident behind the wheel. The instructor was incredibly professional, patient, and made sure I understood every detail. They explained everything clearly and helped me improve my skills quickly. I passed my driving test with ease, and I truly believe it’s thanks to their expert guidance.
Fantastic experience: The best driver instructor hands down has to be Gary. He taught me everything I need to know about driving. He calmed me down before the test, which really helped me to pass for my g2. If you want a good instructor you should choose Gary.
Negative experience: This location does not exist anymore. Google Maps has to update this.
Fantastic experience: Bruce blue was a great teacher and helped me with every question I had and was very thorough about what I felt I needed to know , his teaching was interesting and the opposite of boring and at the end of class it felt kind of sad to say goodbye , I hope Bruce takes care of himself and I hope he can read this review at one point so he knows how much of an impact he made by being such a good teacher
Negative experience: Don’t ever waste your money taking this driving school. Once you complete the classes they will take your money and you will not get proof for your insurance you ever completed driving school. This place takes your money that’s all they care about. Their response is untrue they are just trying to scam people and hide the truth that this company will just take your money and won’t give you what you pay for. All the customer service cares about is making sure they get their money and how they look to social media and reviews. They tired to call me to delete this review from the public, to hide the scamming they do. I suggest if you want your kids to learn how to drive go to a different place that cares and teaches young students how to drive correctly/ safely.
There remains a balance owing that the reviewer is aware of for a remedial class taken in October of 2020 following a failed road test simulation that is impeding certification. Notably, the reviewer completed the curriculum and in-vehicle driving lessons almost three years ago.
