Fantastic experience: Took this class back when I was 16. (I'm 23 now). Terry was an amazing in class instructor and I highly recommend this place. Gabriel was my in car instructor and he was very patient and made it fun. I still use a lot of the tips and tricks they taught me.

Fantastic experience: I've been looking forward to getting my licence my entire life, and thanks to National defensive driver Training (more specifically Terry and Ian), that dream is here! Ian was an epic in car teacher, he really helped me learn all the little nuances that will probably save my life at some point in the future. Terry made in class ridiculously entertaining and interactive, and I actually retained the information we learned 4 months ago! Cant say enough good things about Ian and Terry and National Defensive Driver Training. By far the best driving school in Guelph, maybe even province wide.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Gabriel. He was a fantastic teacher, never condescending, never yelling. He was knowledgeable, patient, clear and firm with his expectations, and adaptable to my specific needs. When it was clear I was struggling with parallel parking, he was able to alter his methods to suit my particular issues, allowing me to do it very successfully during the test. His focus was in safety and defensive driving, which he is obviously passionate about. There is no doubt in his mind that I am a better and safer driver, and that I would not have passed the test without his help. Before Gabriel, I drove with family, and with another driving school. The other school was a waste of money, and my family, while helpful, simply weren’t aware of so many intricacies of the road test. Many things get forgotten over years of driving, and not all driving instructors are the same. I can’t recommend Gabriel enough.

His good sense of humour is balanced with a comprehensive training approach that takes driving super seriously and that is essential since driving must always be safe! Fantastic experience: Ian is a hillarious instructor I loved having him, I loved taking lessons here. I learned so much valuable information here that will make me a better driver and Ian accommodated with my schedule with ease, he managed to fit in lessons for me so I could get my lessons done in time to book my g2 in time so I could get it as soon as the 8 months were up. Fantastic experience: Gabriel is the wonderful,funny and expert instructor ever. I knew so many students passed the driving test but most of them didn't get the skills. I Passed the g2 test yesterday but I am happy because I was driving defensively and made all kind of parking like professional even my examiner was impressed when said WooW! Ian challenged me to improve my technique while also being chill and understanding. Fantastic experience: Gabriel is a queen bee. But on a serious note, I took in car lessons with Gabriel twice, the drivers training package when I was 16 and then a brush up before my G when I was 21, and I am incredibly greatful and amazed by how great of a teacher he is and how fun he made this relatively stressful skill. Definitely worth every penny and I can say I’m a much better driver because of him - and in class lessons with Terry.

My driver instructor Gabriel taught me how to be a safe driver and taught me a lot of new things I have never known how to do. Fantastic experience: I don't write reviews ever, but this school changed my mind. My in-car instructor, Gabriel, is absolutely incredible. I can't recommend him enough. Even though I hate driving, every lesson with him was super enjoyable. He'd always find a way to make me laugh and I'd always find myself in conversation with him. He's kind, funny and bright, and was always patient with me. I never felt judged or stupid, even when I made stupid mistakes. Anyone who's had Gabriel can tell that this is more than just a job to him. He's does everything to make sure that you not only pass the test, but also be safer on the road in future driving. He's dedicated to every one of his student and follows through with them to the end. And that's not an exaggeration by any means. I had my first lesson with him 4 years ago and just recently passed my G test; he teased me about how I was scared to death of going over 10km/h when I started - something I can't even remember myself. I'm going to miss Gabriel's random banter and absurd love for cute animals. If you read this, thank you for the life-changing experience you've given me. Hope you keep doing what you love, and I'll see you on the road!

The staff here is caring, supportive, and cares much more about your success than your money. Gabriel is the BEST driving instructor. National may be slightly more expensive than other driving schools in Guelph but it is honestly worth every penny!

Terry, my in class instructor made the class very engaging and even shared stories about why you shouldn’t do certain things on the road and to make sure why you always be aware of your surroundings. The in car portion of this school is honestly so amazing. My driver instructor, Gabriel, made driving fun, interesting and I learned a lot of tips and tricks I may have not known otherwise. Gabriel always was looking to help you improve beyond the standard in order for me to become the best driver I can be. I recommend this driving course to any teen or adult looking to enhance their driving skills (or looking to reduce your G1 to 8 months) as this course was truly extraordinary and I learned a ton in a fun environment!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with National Defensive Driver Training. My roommate and I both took lessons with Gabriel and passed our driving tests with high passing percentages. The lessons I took previously at a different driving school in Mississauga taught me the minimum on how to pass the test, while Gabriel actually taught me how to drive defensively so I would not only pass my test, but be safer on the roads for future driving. I am also somewhat of a nervous driver, and Gabriel really helped me improve my confidence and skills. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Gabriel was an awesome instructor, made it really fun to learn and made me comfortable behind the wheel fast. I was an extremely nervous driver before but now I am much more confident. He really focuses on safety and makes it really easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended national Defensive drivers training by a friend because she said their instructors were very easy to learn from as well as comfortable to talk to. In the course of my in-car lessons I enjoyed it very much as well as greatly improved my driving techniques. Not only was it really easy for me to understand Terrys method of teaching, I felt very comfortable talking to him casually as well. I was previously with Young Drivers training, the course was not too bad but the private in-car lessons weren't very great. I felt rushed and my instructor got frustrated with me making me feel stressed. So when I Finished with YD I still didn't feel ready. After I took private in-car lessons with NDDT and immensely improved my driving and passed my G2 road test! I cannot thank Terry enough and I highly highly highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I chose National Defensive Driver Training because my boyfriend had taken the class before me. My classroom experience was great. I took the course during March Break and other than having to wake up at 7am for four days, I had a pleasant experience. The class was always proactive and engaged. The teacher went through every subject thoroughly and the workbook was incredibly helpful and informative. My in-class and in-car instructor was Terry who has had over 20 years of experience. I learned how to parallel park and back-in (things I used to think were too hard to do) with clear and concise steps, that were super easy to follow. Every demonstration was followed by clear instructions, answers to all of my questions and repeated if necessary. Anything I had trouble with, Terry would give me extra tips and tricks to get it right. Not only did I feel very relax and comfortable driving with Terry, but I never felt judged or stupid, even when I made stupid mistakes. I just want to thank NDDT for the great learning experience that I had. I recommended Terry to a friend who needed brush-up lessons before getting her G2. She's a former student of Young Drivers and not only is she driving better, but she's enjoying it as well!
