I have had a very bad timing (Pandemics) and e-learning experience from the other brand name driving school, and very limited in car practices. So I have to find another driving school to start from beginning. Lucky I have found this driving school and very patiently and professional instructor Mr Tariq. Fantastic experience: If I had 10 stars I’d give my instructor this. Over the course of 2-3 months ish I had the opportunity to be paired with a wonderful instructor named RUBIA for G2 lessons! She was amazing with me, she taught me all the tips and tricks when it came to the different types of parking. I have nooooo words to describe Rubias teaching because it was just that amazing. Safe to say because of having a little voice in my head that was remembering of what I was taught, I passed my G2! She wasn’t harsh, she made me feel comfortable at all times and ensured that if I did have any questions that she gave me the answer. After having a horrible experience with another driving school (not having enough drivers for another 3 months after they had me pay for the package lessons but forgot to mention that to me) I called Green Light driving school and very quickly they set my daughter up with in class and a reliable driver. From the time that my daughter started with Rubia she gained confidence and a safety composure. Fantastic experience: I started classes with Tariq in late April and May. He was not only patient , but he gives you all the confidence as well. He is very diligent and kind. You won’t have to worry about messing up because he takes those mistakes and makes them a lesson. When I was driving, he never got upset and was always calm and mindful. It really allowed me as a driver to get comfortable behind the wheel. 30 minutes ago I went in for my G2 Test and I passed first try ! Going to this school will guarantee your success. You will definitely pass with flying colours as well as become The best driver you can be !

Negative experience: I had a lesson booked with tiriq and I had a family emergency and had to cancelled I was spoken to with disrespect and threatened . This was my first time booking with this company he’s a racist , saying this is what “you guys like to do” .when I really had an emergency I don’t recommend booking if you are black or ethnic at all .

Fantastic experience: After trying different driving schools, I was very close to calling it quits as I felt it was becoming a lost cause. I saw Green Light on Google and decided to try one more time, and it was the best decision. Tariq was my instructor and he helped me to pass my G2! It took me two tries, and that was a huge accomplishment as I thought it would have taken me so much more times to do. But Tariq worked hard on improving my mistakes from my first attempt that gave me success for my 2nd attempt. I do not own a car and was a nervous driver, so there was a lot for me to learn, especially since my driving lessons elsewhere were pretty much useless. Tariq was very knowledgeable, patient, and goal-oriented. He was easy to talk to, and worked with me to cater lessons based on my needs of improvement, and the date I wanted to take my test. I also appreciated how organized and punctual Tariq was for scheduling lessons, and always respected my time. I can honestly say I’ve become a much more confident driver, which I didn’t think would be possible. I can’t say enough and will definitely be back for my G!

Negative experience: This driving school has given me PTSD to even get another instructor to practice for my G2. I’m scared to even book a practice G2 lesson with another company. Their instructors are passive aggressive. My instructor was Mr. Tariq, after reading good reviews about him I wasn’t bothered that he would be my instructor. The first few lessons he was everything the reviews described. At about the 3rd/4th lesson he was just very visibly angry from something. I understand that things may happen that might irritate us. I tried to brush it off, his energy DEFINITELY affected the way I was driving. I felt nervous and anxious because I didn’t want to make him feel more upset. When I made mistakes, as I am a first time driver, mistakes are inevitable. He kept saying what was wrong with me and kept making me feel worse about myself. At one point my eyes were bubbling with tears from the shame and humiliation he made me feel. I was so upset about how unprofessional and rude he was. I work, and I know how to separate my personal feelings and problems from work. Ever since then he made me feel very anxious and uncomfortable when driving with him. It was so bad that I wanted to call the driving school and ask for a different instructor but I didn’t want my progress to go to waste where I’d have to start over with a different instructor. As an immigrant, I understand the struggle of learning a new language. He has a heavy Hindi accent which I have no problem with. If I don’t understand properly I just ask him to clarify what he is saying so I am clear on it. When I’d ask for clarification it’s almost like he gets aggressive at me that I don’t properly understand what he is saying. I am a very patient person, especially dealing with people where english is their second language because I don’t want to make it harder but when my patience is taken for granted when I just want clarification, that added to my dislike. After I completed all my lessons, they tell me I need several more lessons, which is coincidentally $400+. I am not the best most experienced driver but I’ve driven with 3 G license holders and they very heavily disagree that I need several more hours of lessons. They are money grabbers that don’t truly care about your driving comfort or experience and the car smells because the cleanliness is not prioritized, which should be as several people go into the car. I’m really disappointed that I had to have a bad experience from a place with such good reviews. Even though I paid for their vehicle for my road test, I am not even attempting to ask them to schedule anything. I would rather spend an extra hundreds of dollars to book a car somewhere else than for these people to EVER get my money again. They are unprofessional and the receptionist cannot even write grammatically correct and competent emails. I hope whoever owns this place can train your employees better or re-evaluate the people you’re hiring.

I had 5 lessons with another instructor and I totally gave up because I was scared when I was sitting in the car. After 3 years, I could not do any lessons because of fear. However, I did research on the Internet and I found Green Light Driving School. I read the review and I was finally more confident I booked a lesson here. I met Mr.Tariq. He is a lenient and perfect instructor. He taught me calmly and nicely. From a nervous driver, I became more confident after his lessons. He gave me tips on how to drive safely. Rubia was always very patient and made sure to give great pointers on where I needed to improve or place my focus. Fantastic experience: I passed my road test! Many thanks to my Green Light instructors Rubia and Tariq. Please go for Green Light they are one the best people out here in GTA. You won’t get badly yelled at here (although I wanted them to badly yell at me). :D I had sessions with both of them. I had the first half with Tariq and the other half with Rubia. Tariq is a very patient man he gives gentle reminders and makes you feel comfortable in driving. If you are a new driver he will guide you all the way. He’s understanding and approachable. I had sessions with Rubia before I took my road test. Rubia is such an amazing woman! She’s very direct, but very very concern about how you would take in things. She knows how to explain real life driving situations and how you will judge variety of situations. She teaches very well and would know how to guide you when you need to adjust in certain situations. She’s very accommodating and patient with my bad habits in driving. She has corrected them and gave me good understanding of the Canadian way of driving. She has a keen eye and knows when to correct you with small details. She’s an excellent instructor, and she’s awesome! I’ll miss both of them. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I went from super unconfident driver to passing my G2 test on the first try, thanks to Tariq's teachings. He is very kind and patience and most importantly, CALM. He has a really good sense of some of the innate fears we have as new drivers and works to alleviate those through practice before moving on to more complicated maneuvers. He's also really personable and fun.

Fantastic experience: Acquiring my G2 license with Tariq from Green Light Driving School Etobicoke was such an amazing experience , he’s always on time and you definitely get that full hour dedicated to you. Also well experience and his tutoring skills are well on point and keep in mind what ever he says or teaches you is exactly what you will get when you go for the road test so pay close attention when being taught moreover not forgetting patience which is needed and he is full of it, definitely would recommend Tariq as the best driving instructor. You can always ask questions and he always takes the time to answer your questions. Tariq always emphasize the little things that we take for granted matters and that is very correct. My instructor (Tariq) had a lot of patience and as a person with driving anxiety and not much driving experience after my g1 I was very thankful for that. He gave me insight on areas that I needed to strengthen and worked with me to become a confident and competent driver. I passed my G2 on my first try!
