Fantastic experience: This is an amazing school 5 stars all day long, they are accommodating of your schedule, I was able to complete the AZ course well working full time. Christine is an amazing receptionist she is welcoming and always had an answer to all of my questions. She even recommended companies for me after I completed my AZ. Gary is one of the trainers he was really good at teaching how to shift a manual truck. Zahid another trainer he was excellent at teaching how to take corners and what to look for and to stay in your lane. I only had one lesson with mike however he was really good at teaching backing. Fantastic experience: I recently obtained a DZ certification through the Toronto Truck Driving School. I wanted to write a review to inform everyone of my positive experience. The office staff, Christine and Robin, are prompt, courteous and professional in responding to any inquiries, as well as assisting with scheduling. This is a cost effective school that doesn’t compromise quality of training. The instructors are thorough and knowledgeable with a significant amount of patience especially when dealing with people new to the trucking industry. It’s obvious why this company has been in operation for over 30 years. You can count on them to fully prepare you for what to expect on the road test. While I didn’t pass on my first attempt, they encouraged me to stay motivated. I felt they truly care about all of their students and want them to succeed. Hope this helps others in makingy a decision to apply to this school.

Fantastic experience: I just got my AZ with these guys. This was training for my second career because my body could not do heavy construction anymore. My instructors Jag and Gary were pretty great. After the first day I wanted to give up on manual transmission and just stick to automatic but Jag convinced me to stick with it and I did and now seems second nature. Gary is really good at pushing you to get better inspection so you can pass your test. I recommend TTDS if you want the right training at the right price. Thanks everyone

Fantastic experience: I took my training through TTDS back in Sept/Oct of 2023 and achieved my DZ licence just days after my last class. I really enjoyed the classes. They were very informative and they answered everyone’s questions with no hesitation. I can’t say enough good things about the instructors. They are fantastic (big shoutout to Jag, hands down my favourite instructor!). If you are considering upgrading your license to A/Z or D/Z I highly recommend TTDS. They do it all for you from booking your road test to providing the truck on site for your road test. The classes are great with flexible hours day or night. These guys and gals are worth every $$. Fantastic experience: So I live in the Barrie area and I was somehow put in Cambridge Toronto Truck Droving School. However the staff is professional and knowledgeable. I drive for a living and I need to upgrade to keep my house so I drive the distance LoL to be able to make my home mortgage payments. The school is awesome and I might be only my first week but coming from DZ and motorcycles the AZ world is a new level of freedom but also knowledge. I’m looking forward to my next few classes in the yard.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. I passed first time and I’m 61 years old. Couldn’t be happier. 14 November 2024 Update It’s been a year now. I’ve posted a photo of the liquid nitrogen tractor trailer I’m currently on. January 2nd I’m transferring to our bulk division. I’ll post a pic of that when I’m there. I couldn’t have done it without all the great crew at TTDS Cambridge. I can’t thank the whole team at TTDS enough. Great teachers, kind helpful people from the office staff to the driver trainers. These folks did a great job at a reasonable price. Their reputation for training students well was evident when I took my practical test. I am certain it helped me during my test. Robin signed me up. He has been very helpful. Sarah in the office has been very thorough right from the first email. Links to study guides, medical forms etc Mike. Our current trainer in the classroom is also excellent. A guy who has been in the industry for decades. Knows his stuff and very importantly, knows how to teach it. We spent the week working through the 10 chapters of the Essential Driving Skills book provided in the MELT program by TTDS. TIP. Ask Mike what chapters you will be doing the next day and do the Quiz at the end of each chapter as homework in advance. The questions are easy and readily available in the chapter text. I would advise the folks for whom English is their second language. That way you can spend more of your time concentrating on Mikes advice in real time. It will also save you a good deal of stress trying complete the quizzes in only 19-15 minutes. Stay ahead of the game and do it in advance. All in all the week in the classroom is just the tip of the iceberg but it starts to come together by the time you do the 109 question test at the end of the week. Week 2 Tue-Fri 6pm to 10pm We continued with Mike as our instructor. This was our chance to get into some practical training. We covered all of the AZ inspection items in the paperwork TTDS will give you at the very beginning. Cab, glass and mirrors, fuel system, exhaust, frame and cargo body. Tires, wheel hubs and fasteners. Suspension. Coupler. Air brakes. In cab inspection. On various nights. On the last night we started to do some backing with the trailer attached. With 4 people there wasn’t a huge amount of time in the truck but I am expecting that to all change next week with one on one training. All in all after 2 weeks still very happy.

Fantastic experience: After much searching I found a driving school..TTDS,When i went there, i met a man named Robin.When I asked him about things, he told me very clearly...So I joined there.The first two weeks were theory classes.After that the classes started in the yard..With Instructor Mike.He explained things very clearly about trucks. Christine and Ruth, were very helpful and organized my practice time.After that the ONE O ONE training started..For the first time I was in the excitement of driving a truck.My first instructor was Mr.Garry.He was the first to teach me how to drive a truck.He is a very good man.First I was trained on the tractor.Then he trained me to drive with a trailer.I chose to learn manual truck.I struggled a lot in the first two days to learn the gear shift.However, I could not study.My instructor was Garry on the third day,I told Garry about my gear shift problems.Garry smiled and gave me two candies..He said let's fix it.I learned my gear shifting very well in my first class with Garry...I was very happy that day,Other than that I was really surprised.One day I driven on the highway with an inspector named Mr.Jag,He is a nice person ..He trained me to driving at various speeds,After that my 90 degrees backing started with the instructor Mr.Nav. He gave me a tip about baking..The rest of the day I practiced everything with a trainer named Garry..Every day I studied with Garry, he taught me new things.He started asking me what I learned every day.Garry has a lot of fresh new ideas.. On the test day, Examiner asked about offset backing.Instructor Jag gave me a tip about it..I found it useful.So I was able to pass the exam....God's blessing, good coaching from instructors and my effort gave me success....Thanks to God, thanks to all the Instructors and TTDS Cambridge.. This is not a review but my experience.Feel free to choose this Truck driving school..

Not overly priced, and I find it well worth the money spent as from the time you start the course you’ll have obtained your DZ if you pass the road test within a month or so. They took the time to make sure I knew everything for the day of my road test, and answered all questions to give me clarity etc. Nothing bad to say.

Fantastic experience: I started my journey with TTDS Cambridge on February 20th 2023 and ended the following April 17th. I did my test and passed first shot! My whole experience with this team was so so great! I really enjoyed working with everyone there. Daria, very sweet girl and is excellent at organizing your driving schedule to fit into your personal/ work schedule. She’s very easy to get a hold of and keeps you up to date on everything going on! Mike, Gary, Jag and Miguel were my in class, yard and driving instructors. Such kind and knowledgeable people! They all had different ways of teaching, but it was awesome, because it gave me an all round learning and understanding of how to pass my test. Different teaching styles also allows you to learn different ways of doing things which really helps in real world situations in the industry. All my instructors were really good for teaching what you need to know for the test but also about real world situations once you’re in the industry. Robin is the manager of TTDS. So helpful and kind! I was a bit of a last minute joiner but he helped me get right into the next course starting so I was in within a week! He called gave me and gave me a personal congratulations once I passed! I was the first girl to pass first shot in a manual! He told me that and made my day even better! From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by an amazing secretary (Daria) who accommodates your work schedule and training times to fit all of your needs, to all of the instructors for the Z endorsement to the full A who put such careful detail into your training sessions to ensure you’re fully ready and prepared by the time you're scheduled for your road test! Special shout out to Robin the owner, he helped to make me feel comfortable at the beginning of my journey and took time out of his personal schedule (on a holiday) to come into the office and sit down with and explain things in depth about everything involved in this process before I even paid a dollar! Special shout outs to Jag and Gary they are the utmost best instructors to push you where you want/need to be! Fantastic experience: My son and I did alot of research when it came to finding the right school. My son has asbergers and works full time as a landscaper. Robin and his team adapted a school schedule that worked with his work schedule and the way he learns things. On first road test attempt my son was prepared and ready. Unfortunately, the test centre changed the test and added other things to the road test that had never been there before. Robin and his team quickly acted, they immediately came up with an additional training plan and had the entire class back, at zero charge to students. The plan they put into place made my son, and his entire class successful. They went above and beyond to ensure that the training was done right and heard the needs of my sons work schedule. Hats off!!!

Fantastic experience: Just passed the AZ road test today in first attempt. Hates off to all the instructors and to the institute. Learned life long lessons to get on the road. Fantastic experience: I choose TTDS after looking at reviews, and it turned out to be the perfect decision for my AZ licence. All of the instructors Garry, Jag, Rob and Mike, are incredibly helpful and diligent; also very kind. They helped me along the way, and Their guidance helped me obtain my licence at last. School and staff are amazing Glad I chose a school that's been training drivers for over 30 years It is all because of Robin, Jags and garry under their training first I passed my DZ in First shot than i got the AZ also in first shot . Fantastic experience: Just passed my Class A road test and have the staff at TTDS to thank for it! The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and really committed to helping you succeed, both in the class and in the yard. To name a few, Jag, Gary, and Mike were amazingly patient with me as a newbee driver, and Daria, the admin staff, was super quick to respond to all my questions and always made an effort to accommodate my schedule. I'm also really impressed the owner, Robin, was so accessible throughout the program, and he was on the phone to congratulate me as soon as I passed. I felt tons of support from this great team of people.
