He helped me a lot with my driving skills, he guided me and cheered me up for any driving anxiety I had. Fantastic experience: Coming from the EU I struggled with the Canadian driving style and different requirements for passing road test. Nicaelo was able very quickly to help me adapt my driving style and prepare me for the road test. Planning with Roanne was quick, smooth and organized.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't imagine having a better driving Instructor than Edgar. He really understands what it's like for new drivers to get behind the wheel and is such an amazing and patient teacher. I passed my N test on my first try, and it's all due to Edgar being able to create such a safe and effective learning environment. I would give him a 6 star rating if I could but google only lets me give out 5.

Fantastic experience: I never imagined that I would be driving in my life. It is one of the last things to do on my list, but when I enrolled in RainCity all my anxiety about driving was gone. Fantastic experience: As someone who's had two batches of lessons with RainCity over two non-consecutive years, I would highly recommend this driving school. Their service has been consistently friendly, clear, and reasonable. I had Edgar as my instructor for 9 lesson-hours leading up to my class 7 exam and 3 mock exams leading up to my class 5 exam, both of which I passed on my first try. Edgar's teaching is very patient and clear, with lots of great tips. I really appreciated him being extra strict for my mock exams which made my actual exam feel easy!

Fantastic experience: Passed class 7 recently with only rented vehicle and instructors' tutoring from this school. I tried 3 times, from which anyone can see that it required great patience to help me improve, going against my clumsiness and forgetfulness. And they did it. I had Doel first and then Edgar, and both had been very supportive, patient and skilled at teaching. Also great thanks to scheduling master Roanne, who had been immensely considerate. I hope everyone working at this school can be healthy, happy and successful. Note: extra fun talking with Edgar if you play PC/console games, although don't let the convo distract you while driving.

Fantastic experience: I just recently passed my Class 7 Roadtest, my instructor was Nicaelo, from the get go I knew I was in good hands. Nicaelo was very easy to talk to and I picked up everything he taught me very quickly. Nicaelo was always on time and very patient with me during my lessons, all though our time together was short, he was able to teach me effectively with the time we had till my roadtest. 1 of the things I liked the most about our lessons was that Nicaelo can relate to the younger drivers, unrelated to driving we had good conversations and made me feel comfortable on the road and it was never awkward. I highly recommend Nicaelo, and Raincity Driving School, especially to younger drivers.

I had a much later start to driving than most people because of my driving anxiety, but my instructor Edgar was very calm, patient, and timely for all of my lessons. Fantastic experience: I only learned how to drive a few months ago and I passed my Class 7N (New Driver) License the first try at ICBC Lougheed. Thanks so much to Rain and RainCity driving school for all the lessons and help! I took 11 hours of driving lessons from Rain and it was all worth it! He is definitely a good instructor—patient, kind, knowledgeable, and willing to go out of his way to teach you properly. For me who has never owned a car and drove before, Rain was a big help—very clear with his instructions, well-versed with the laws in driving and the ICBC guidelines, and surely has quick reflexes to keep you safe! Fantastic experience: I went to RainCity Driving School with hardly any experience (I had only driven once or twice before) and in about eight classes I managed to pass my driving test with no demerits. It’s the best my family has ever done in our history of driving. If there was a sixth star option possible I would’ve picked it, the staff is so friendly and all the directions are easy to understand. Can’t thank them enough!

Communication with booking and paying was straightforward, the only hassle was booking lessons since I didn't book early. I learned to drive later in life so I was a bit anxious, but Edgar's calm and patient demeanour was reassuring and helped me build confidence. Fantastic experience: My experience learning to drive here was excellent, thanks to my instructor, Rain. He was super helpful in getting me prepared for the driving exam. Rain was great at pointing out areas where I needed improvement, but also quick to praise the things I was doing well. I also really appreciated his honesty when it came to scheduling more lessons. He gave me a spot-on estimate of the additional hours I would need to be totally ready for my exam. It never felt like he was trying to oversell or add unnecessary lessons. Fantastic experience: I booked two 60-minute lessons as refreshers for a Class 5 test. Despite some hiccups in the beginning to due to some miscommunication with RainCity, Edgar, my instructor, was the perfect teacher. He walked me through what an ICBC would look for and immediately pointed out what I needed to work on given our limited time together. Edgar didn't beat around the bush; he told me what would fail me and made notes for me practice/remember during my own time. Thanks to Edgar, I passed my test on my first try the following week!

Fantastic experience: Had Edgar as my instructor- super patient, kind and explained things thoroughly that were easy to understand. He took the time to draw things out to further better his explanation. Took my N test yesterday, and I passed first try :) It really helped having Edgar be super encouraging and giving me the confidence I needed by reminding me that I already know the maneuvers (all thanks to him). He even took the time to do a session before my test to further make sure I was prepared. Highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Roanne was great through email, phone call and scheduling. Before our call, I wrote down a bunch of questions and want to ask her, and during the call she pretty much answered everything without me even asking anything. That shows how experience she is and how much she know what the students want to know or care about before signing up with them. The price is very reasonable imo. It’s cheaper than some of my friends’ driving schools in Vancouver. I had Doel as my first instructor, and then in the later half had Doel and Edgar switch between the lessons. Both of them are very good instructors, different style, both very informative, knowledgeable and patient. Even on the days when they are not in the best mood (very rare), they would try very hard to be patient, and would apologize if they think they were being too loud or anything, which I really appreciate but I really didn’t think it was that bad tbh. If I have a student who is about to hit another car, I would probably yell… but It shows a lot of their professionalism and how much they actually want you to have the most comfortable experience. Before the test they take you to mock test and help you identify what you need to improve and pay attention to in the road test. On the day, they also take you for an hour drive before the road test, which was SUPER helpful. They were also super encouraging and help you feel as confident as you can get. I didn’t do well with all of my mock test, and they still told me that I could pass, just need to relax, focus and be confident. Those words didn’t sound like a lot, but it definitely helped. I passed first try with only 2 errors for my N! Thanks Doel, Edgar and Roanne for helping me through the journey. Will definitely come back before my class 5 test in the next couple years!

Fantastic experience: Amazing school! I got 2 different instructors (Gene and Edgar) and they were both very nice and helpful ! After just a few sessions I was able to retake my N test and successfully pass it :) The person behind the phone number is so nice and accommodating. I rescheduled classes and road tests 3 different times and they were still able to fit me in with short notice !

Fantastic experience: I drove for almost a year with just my parents without taking any formal lessons and a month before my novice test I decided to take a couple lessons with RainCity, which was definitely the right choice to make. I had Edgar as my instructor a couple times and Doel once, and both of them were such amazing instructors. Edgar gave me concise and easy-to-understand instructions and helped me whenever I was unsure of what to do. He answered all my questions and gave me so many useful tips to improve my driving. The first time I had a lesson with him, I did a mock road test and I failed six times. My second lesson with him, I only messed up once, thanks to all the advice he gave me during our first lesson. Doel was also an awesome instructor, he was very patient and friendly and didn’t judge me for the ridiculous amount of dumb mistakes I made, but gave me plenty of tips on how to fix them. I can confidently say that the reason I was able to pass my drivers test on the first try was because of how well they taught me during our lessons. I would very highly recommend taking lessons with RainCity and if you want instructors that are patient, knowledgeable and helpful, ask for Edgar and Doel!

Fantastic experience: Exceptional driving school … I hadn’t driven in 10 years, and I started my first few lessons with Gene. I could not have been paired with a better first instructor- He is very kind, and provides very clear instructions. He helped me to learn the processes and instilled my confidence in driving. At one point I jumped the curb, and I truly appreciated his calmness in that moment. I then had lessons with Rain. Truly an amazing instructor, who went above and beyond helping me learn the rules of the road. He is very adaptable and has strong communication and listening skills. Edgar was my instructor on road test day and I found his teaching style mirrored Rain’s. He knew exactly the pre road-test lesson I needed. I ended up passing on my first road test attempt (N). Fantastic experience: We moved from the island and wanted our daughter to learn how to drive in the city from an expert. We are so pleased we chose Rain City Driving School! They were great at communication and very flexible in their scheduling. Doel was an excellent instructor who taught our daughter everything she needed to know to safely drive in the city. He was very patient and knowledgeable and had great tips for parking. It was wonderful to see our daughter grow in her confidence on the road after each lesson. Fantastic experience: Attending Raincity driving school has probably been the best choice that I could have ever made! I was to take my class 5 license and I wanted to increase my chances if passing my road test so I chose this school among many other options as I particularly liked the way Roanne made it so convenient to make bookings on top of being very professional and likeable. Among the instructors, Gene has been the one I spent most of the sessions and has helped me a lot to gain confidence in driving. Edgar has given me very useful tips on top of my confidence and Rain has been extremely helpful for the session preceding my road test. All of the instructors there were extremely patient and helpful and each of them gave me very useful tips to help me gain a lot of confidence in driving on big and busy roads (where I come from, we do not have such roads) and to pass my road test with success. This school is really worth the price you pay for it and if you are not confident like I was to drive in BC roads, Raincity is definitely the place to go to!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend RainCity Driving School and Edgar! I decided to give RainCity a try after failing the Class 7 Road Test for the second time. At that time I was a new driver with little confidence on the road. But after four lessons with Edgar, who’s very knowledgeable and patient, I passed my third road test and got the N licence with ease! I wish I had come to RainCity before my first road test.

Fantastic experience: Took one brush up class with these guys for my Class 5 exam. The booking process was speedy and simple and the instructor was friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they let me use my own car, which a lot of the other places that I contacted did not. Also, one other driving school pretty much insisted that I needed at least two classes during initial booking despite not knowing anything about my skill level so I really appreciate the Raincity instructor telling me that I didn’t need further lessons at the end of our session. Fantastic experience: After 9 hours of driving lessons with Edgar, my son passed his driving test for Class 7 license(N) for his first try. 5 years ago I also got my N license for my first try after my lessons with Kuya Ed. Roan is considerate and accommodating too. Once again Rain City Driving School proves that it is one of the best driving school in Metro Vancouver!

Fantastic experience: I learned from the trifecta of brothers and can positively say that each one is excellently equipped with the patience and people skills to make you feel as comfortable as possible when getting used to the road. Raincity offers exceptional insight as to what to expect on the test which greatly helped me steer clear (lol) of any surprises and stay in control of my nerves when test day came. Fantastic experience: RainCity Driving School offers sound knowledge and safe driving advice. Their instructors are patient and communicate clearly. If you’re ever unsure of something, you’re welcome to ask any questions you may have. You’ll have confidence when you take your Road Test — and of course driving knowledge you’ll apply even after your Road Test! You’ll likely be driving a Toyota Prius. (Downloading the owner’s manual online can help with familiarity of the 'windshield wiper lever' and the 'lights lever', which will be a part of your ‘Pre-trip’ Road Test).

Fantastic experience: Passed my N first time with flying colours strictly because of Edgar and gene!! Amazing humans who really teach you more than just how to drive. Gene pushed me to up my speed and gain confidence because I was being to hesitant and to remember my hill parks. And Edgar helped me understand real life driving situations and how to get myself out of them. He also was so amazing at explaining everything with drawings and talking! Which helped me because I learn best by seeing things. Would highly recommend this place ❤️ if I ever need "brushing up" one day I'll definitely be coming here again. Would give 6/5 if I could!

Fantastic experience: Doel and his brother, Rain, were really great instructors to have for someone learning to drive with zero experience. They were very patient and created a low pressure environment to learn in. That helped with my stress levels when I first started and eventually, I managed to pass my N on the first try! The only downside is that they're fairly busy, so it was difficult to book any additional lessons without tons of notice, but that wasn't anything on their end.

Fantastic experience: I almost gave up hope on getting my N license before I found Raincity Driving School. Roanne makes scheduling lessons super easy and both Doel and Rain are some of the most patient, kind, and chill instructors I've met (and I've met quite a few). Despite being easy going they are VERY serious about road safety and will help hammer the good driving habits into your system. I highly recommend them if you're also struggling with getting your N license (I passed with them in the rain!). I'm already considering them for getting my full license in the future. Good luck!

I do not have any experience nor background in driving however they all made me understand the basics and was able to demonstrate my skills that’s essential in driving (although I have tons to polish) I would like to thank Doel, Rain and Edgar for all their talent and skills that really helped in unlocking and completing a task in my life. Fantastic experience: Great place to learn to drive and prepare you for the tests. They'll offer a free class to gauge your knowledge and then give a recommendation to how many classes you might need, I actually went with the recommendation and was not disappointed. I got my license with ease.

Fantastic experience: Super happy to have had the chance to learn from Rain even for just one session the day right before my class 7 road test as I found it highly instructive & vital in helping me pass! Great pointers were brought to my attention for practice that prepared me well and made a lasting improvement to my road skills despite my booking for a last minute crash course (bad pun not-intended as it was a very safe driving experience with zero crashes haha ). He listened to my main priorities of focus at the beginning & made instant adjustments to the mock run with those in mind, was well-versed with the testing routes and clearly addressed all my weaker maneuvers with practical feedback for correction. A thorough summary of the session along with pertinent advice is also emailed to you upon completion which I thought was nice to have for personal review afterwards. Another big kudos to the warm & friendly service from the kind ladies as well who were able to schedule me in on short notice based on a restricted availability, I could tell they cared to accommodate as best they could and the rates here are more than reasonable compared to others. All in all I'm very grateful to have come across RainCity and definitely plan to return for more lessons when getting ready for the class 5 in the future!

Fantastic experience: 10/10 would recommend RainCity Driving School. Affordable and efficient. I had Rain and Doel as my driving instructors. I enjoyed Rain's patients and the learning environment he provided, each lesson it proved efficient for my driving. He was sure to point out any bad habits or actions in a calming, non-judge mental manner. While driving on the road I think this is important, and one of the things I had feared would not happen before starting my lessons. At some point in time it didn't even feel like a lesson anymore, just a drive. The first time I met Rain I knew I would be comfortable learning from him, I really appreciate all the support I received. Thank you Rain! Doel assisted me with my pre-test lesson. He was able to ease my pre-test anxiety and correct any actions that wouldn't get me a pass. Doel also provided a wonderful learning environment that helped me get comfortable on the road. Our lessons were always fun. I appreciate his feedback and answering all my questions, dumb or not. Without Doel I'm not sure I would be able to pass on the first try! Thank you Doel. Fantastic experience: Awesome driving school. I passed my N test on the first try :))) Doel is so great! He is very nice and super patient, which is very helpful for learning drivers. He offers a lot of good advice regarding technique and skills. I was comfortable enough to ask questions, even ones I was embarrassed of for not knowing the answer. Doel has a neat teaching style that helped me learn to drive very quickly, and I never felt out of my comfort zone. He stayed calm and collected, even when I was making mistakes. The company was so awesome for letting me use their car to practice on, as well as on the test. It was a huge help, as it would’ve been a hassle to find a different one (my family car is not a sudan, so it’s not easy to learn to drive on it). They are very accommodating, easy to contact, and overall very friendly! Most driving schools are fairly expensive, but Raincity is a great bang for your buck. I used the 9 lesson package that included a practice session right before my test so I was extra prepared. Thank you RainCity, thank you Doel!! 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: I took several lessons - off and on, a couple of lessons with Robert and half dozen with Doel recently this summer/fall (as well as a car rental mini lesson with Rain). DOEL They’re all good, but I found Doel’s instruction, clear precise and calm. His patience / natural calmness really lent itself to being a great instructor. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Doel to anyone who needs a brush up or is starting from the beginning. Awesome all around. By the end of the half-dozen lessons with Doel, I felt really comfortable and confident, so can only recommend! RAIN For my last lesson, it was a pre-test mini lesson car rental for my Class 7, and was with Rain. I can't say too much about it since my time with him was short, but he was great in that time. BOOKING The booking process and communication with Roni was also great. She was flexible and pretty prompt. Email and text. Easy to work with. VEHICLES The cars were all easy to maneuver and I felt safe driving under their supervision. Passed my test on the first go. So yay!
