Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with instructor Joseph. He was honest and provided detailed explanations. This allowed me to learn from my mistakes and learn proper driver etiquette. When it was time to take my test, I was confident and passed with absolutely zero issues. I would highly recommend 101 driving school!

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience with this school. The communication is via text with the driving instructor and it has been confusing to say the least. So much back and forth. The actual in-car lessons did not seem paced well. I asked for a refund as I do not want to continue with the lessons. I asked for this on Oct 20th and it is now Dec 17th. I still have not been refunded even though the driver texted me on Nov 30th saying that the school would sort it out in the coming week. Where is my refund? I will be booking my G2 test with a different school.

Hi Martina. We regret things didn't go smoothly for you. Let's look back on your file for a better understanding; 1. You have little experience, no recourse to practice at home and anxiety on the road. Due to your stated financial situation, you only got 2 extra sessions with your course. This is wholly inadequate for you as everyone's situation is unique. Instructors can only do the best with what they're given. 2. Due to that circumstance, your instructor suggested that your lessons should be done closer to your test for better retention as a strategy and you agreed; your lessons were done. Unfortunately, you still feel like you're not ready and it stressed you, but that is something that's in your hands. You weren't in a position to get the lessons that you needed, along with the fact that there's no one at home to practice with. 3. You had several road test bookings and cancellations that we did for you with no charge; you even canceled a test on us without informing us with proper notice. On your last test day you woke up and said your body aches and can't go for the test. We informed you the test center will not refund you as this is last minute no show. Schools have the same policy. The hours we booked off for you were again, lost, along with revenued. However. we were still willing to take you to another test with NO extra charge. Not sure how much more we can accommodate you. We still certified you for your lessons on time and you asked for a refund on the last two sessions which were non-reasonable because you're already booked that day; however we STILL were willing to refund it to you with NO administrative penalties stated on our website. Where is the fairness in regard to our losses and our accommodations for you? 4. Your instructor stated to you we were investigating why the two lesson refund could not be processed; sometimes we have to send a message to our credit card processing company for an explanation. You're being disingenuous when you say that you're booking a G2 test with another school, that's fine we wish you the best (hopefully you will be in a position to get the lessons you need) but you are stating it to seem like you're doing that because of faults on our part. We incurred losses for you and you still wanted refunds to go another school and we still accommodated you. We strive to do our best at all times under trying circumstances for everyone, for the best outcome and to make people happy as best we could; we only ask you to be reasonable. We have overwhelming positive feedback for our efforts. DistinguishedTeaching.Ca just voted us best school in Etobicoke. We just ask for a balanced, objectively fair feedback.
