Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with instructor Joseph. He was honest and provided detailed explanations. This allowed me to learn from my mistakes and learn proper driver etiquette. When it was time to take my test, I was confident and passed with absolutely zero issues. I would highly recommend 101 driving school!

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience with this school. The communication is via text with the driving instructor and it has been confusing to say the least. So much back and forth. The actual in-car lessons did not seem paced well. I asked for a refund as I do not want to continue with the lessons. I asked for this on Oct 20th and it is now Dec 17th. I still have not been refunded even though the driver texted me on Nov 30th saying that the school would sort it out in the coming week. Where is my refund? I will be booking my G2 test with a different school.

Fantastic experience: I used to drive as a teenager living up north in Muskoka but moved down to Toronto over a decade ago and let my license expire as all my work and where I lived was easily accessible through transit. To save money I used transit but now I am older and now moving so I began re-getting my license again. Never drove in the city EVER and Joseph was my instructor he was very good at giving me the city driving bootcamp I needed. I was 11 years not behind the wheel and also not in the city, 20 lessons with Joseph and I passed my G2 today. These guys are an easy company to get set up and running with and have great instructors. Ps. Tip that worked for me. Remember you are in control of the vehicle, imagine it as an extension of your body just like any tool. Your eyes and brain should always be looking where your going and what's happening not worrying about what your hands and feet do. When you do enough lessons you'll train your hands and feet to just do what they need to do and you'll feel way more comfortable and in control of the vehicle.

Fantastic experience: Thank you very much to Driving 101 for my training and the ability to pass both my tests. I was referred to the school and it was the best decision of my life. I was originally assigned to another instructor in the school but was changed to Joseph. It was a blessing. His combination of patience, firmness, support and amazing technical instructions madethe driver I am today. His psychological tricks on how to deal with anxiety when I'm driving my ow really works. He taught me not to let the environment dictate to me but to be in control of it and of my car and to be responsibility for my own actions ans not those of other's. Fantastic experience: At the age of 44, I wanted to renew my G2. It was set to expire and I had not been driving for literally years. I did some research and decided this would be a good fit for someone like me who was a little embarrassed to still be learning to drive in their forties. Joseph helped build my confidence and provide me with the skills to drive safely. I always felt safe because I knew he had the ability to brake when needed and if I had made a mistake. The school communicated quickly when I reached out with questions and seeking more information. This was also a factor when giving them my business. I wanted a business that made me feel like a priority. Joseph provides honest feedback and will provide the skills you need, you just need to have confidence in yourself as well.

Negative experience: I had a deeply frustrating experience with Driving 101 a while back. Despite their claims of being an "award-winning" school, their customer service was abysmal. Communication was consistently poor and unprofessional, and I encountered issues ranging from vague explanations about refunds to dismissive responses about my concerns. I had to repeatedly ask for a clear receipt of my refund, which I finally got but only after weeks of communication. The entire process left me feeling undervalued and disregarded / and I only realized how bad the experience was when I went with another driving school and was treated with respect and communicated with properly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Driving 101 to others seeking reliable and respectful driving instruction. Edit: After receiving a response back from the owner, I had to make a quick addition to my review. I am so happy that they responded, as this level of communication is what you can expect from this business - volatile, rude and disrespectful. Thanks for proving my point Driving 101!

Thanks to Joseph, I learned to believe in myself, be more attentive on the road, and drive more confidently and safely. If you are not ready to change your bad habits and admit your mistakes, then it may be difficult for you to learn as it was for me in the beginning. Joseph is a very wise man who not only taught me how to drive safely but how to cope with stress both on the road and in life. The essence of studying is not only to get a license, but to actually learn how to drive, and Joseph gives 100% on lessons, worrying about the student and really wanting to teach. All of his instructions and recommendations were 100% helpful. Before getting my license here, I already had driving experience in another country, and it was difficult for me to change my driving style and habits, but how much more pleasant and calmer it is to drive when you understand how to do it safer and begin to correct your mistakes, and not consider them the “norm”. I could say I learned to drive again, it was very hard but it was worth it! I am very grateful to Joseph for his patience and support and belief in me even when I wanted to give up. Negative experience: Excuse me? Anxiety? Are you a professional who is able to evaluate someone’s anxiety? Please do not make up stuff. I realized that your lessons were not good enough for me after taking lessons with another instructor. You gave me zero confidence during the 4 lessons that I took with you, that is probably why I was nervous during the lessons and the test. I also realized that you did not teach me the required road rules to pass my test. I did take only 2 hours of lessons with another instructor and passed my test, because I gained confidence in myself after they explained all the road rules to me very clearly, unlike my experience with you. Again, this is my personal experience, and others’ experiences may be different. Mine was not good. Everyone is free to share their own experience.

Fantastic experience: My son has ADD and uses medication. This driving school is a godsend. It was our third school we used and was able to get through to him and train him effectively. Joseph was not only an outstanding instructor according to my son but he's also a very considerate , compassionate and kind individual. Definitely went out of his way a lot to make sure my son is comfortable. This has been our experience with this school. My son is looking forward to his G test but unfortunately we cannot speed up that time frame. If your child has similar needs, I strongly advise you to ask the school to assign him to this instructor.

Negative experience: PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING WITH THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! Joseph is an abusive narcissist who uses students for their money. I booked with this school to do my test in Oshawa and the instructor scammed me. All he could tell me was that I was going to fail and Oshawa is a horrible place to do my test - all the while trying to convince me to book more lessons. I am currently in the process of taking them (Joseph and his wife Kim) to small claims court and working with other students who have experienced something similar to put a case against them. ( Luckily I recorded every interaction between myself and Joseph) 1. When you call he will try convince you to do your test in Oakville 2. He is very abusive in his manner of instructing and always on his phone (PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR DEAF OR ADHD KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEIR WELLBEING) 3. He will try convince you to do your G2 or tell you that you will fail so you book more lessons with him . 4. RECORD EVERY INTERACTION! If anyone else has experienced something similar please contact me, I’m happy to work with you. Businesses like this need to be held accountable!!

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review post clearing my G2 exam . I am so happy to be able to write this post about the Driving 101 school and my instructor (Joseph). My instructor Mr. Joseph has given me immense support in all aspects in achieving my goal (license). Each and every lesson that I took was filled with knowledge and core expertise I wouldn’t call them lessons but definitely Life skills. He didn't just teach for the purpose of merely getting a license but for real driving safely on road especially when you are with your dear ones. Jo as a teacher is very dedicated towards his students but he is very strict and trust me from my personal experience if he is reacting on something it’s definitely something which has been already taught to you and you dint follow that. The skills he possesses, is a God gift. I couldn’t clear my exam in 1st attempt but eventually with time I did with all the support from school and I would suggest anyone who aspires to clear your exam then never compromise in taking sessions and rushing for exam. Fantastic experience: Joseph is by far the best driving instructor I’ve ever had. When I decided I would try to get my license after 15 years of being afraid, I was very anxious, scared, and insecure. Joseph was very patient, provided specific and clear instructions, and slowly built my confidence and skill level. With each class I felt more capable behind the wheel. Not only that, but he taught me parallel parking in one day, and I did it flawlessly on my test! I would highly recommend, especially for drivers who have anxiety and panic when it comes to driving. Fantastic experience: Everyone knows that Driving in Toronto can be challenging, even if you have driving experience in your home country. The road design may be different, and the rules as well. So I decided to take a few lesson before attempting my G full test, and I am happy I did! Joseph helped me correct a few bad habits I had developed in years of driving, and gain more self confidence. The pick-up/drop off option is very convenient also.

Fantastic experience: I want to give a huge shout out to Joseph who was my instructor. From the very beginning of my driving journey, driving 101 was supportive and accommodating. My g1 had expired, and I was on a very tight schedule of getting my g2 or else I’d have to redo everything. I was scheduled quick, and lessons were frequent and flexible. I am a very anxious person, but Joseph helped me face my fears and become a cautious and confident driver! He is a very friendly and kind person but lessons can get tough. It was only after I drove alone with my dad to practice that I realised my driving skills have greatly improved, all from Joseph’s way of teaching! (even if it does seem tough in the moment) Put full trust into him, and you will succeed! I do not agree with the low reviews as it is the instructors job to keep the student and others safe on the road, and of course there will be mistakes and times when the instructor corrects your steering etc, but you have to learn from them to succeed! Also, personally I found the teaching method of saying road signs, hazards, and scanning out loud super helpful as I became a more observant driver. Passed my G2 today first try! Couldn’t have done it without Joseph and Driving 101! Outstanding school.

Fantastic experience: I passed my G2 test earlier today, that too on my first try. This is largely credited to the techniques taught by Joseph - he focuses on the basics so you work towards being a good and safe driver rather than merely passing a test (which differentiates this school from other driving schools). Joseph's methods are unconventional and may not appeal to everyone - but they work. Trust the process. I had absolutely no confidence in myself when I first started driving in July and this morning when I took the test, I drove as though I've been driving for years! If you're an Etobicoke/Toronto/Mississauga resident, I highly highly recommend Driving 101.

Fantastic experience: I'm over 80 and want a professional assessment each year of my ability to drive safely in the city and on highways around Toronto. Joseph provided detailed suggestions during a 90 minute drive and a helpful summary at the end. I've been doing these assessments since I turned 70 and Joseph's was, without a doubt, the most useful ever.

Fantastic experience: TLDR: Josephs teaching style is tough but fair.He is clear, gives very good guidance, answers questions and makes sure to build your confidence on the road. Definitely recomended. I passed my G test on the first try!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I booked 10 classes with Driving 101 before I took my G test directly from G1. I passed on the first try!! Joseph did 1 class with me before booking the test to see where I stood. After his suggestion we booked the G test. During the reamining classes, His feedback is always direct, honest and to the point. I knew there were a few habits I needed to fix that I had picked up in India. He would always point them out and give clear instructions on how I needed to fix them. He also provided the option for me to switch to G2 test very early on if I did not feel confident, instead of waiting till the end and wasting classes. I appriciated this, but decided to go ahead with G as I felt confident. I would definetly suggest everyone to take classes before you do the test no matter your experience. It helps you get a different perspective and figure out your weak areas and bad habits that you might have picked up along the way. All in all, Joseph and Driving 101 gets big recommendation from me.

Fantastic experience: This is a shout out to Joseph. Thank you for your guidance. It is not easy with Joseph. He is a very understanding and excellent instructor. He will be very happy to accommodate for busy schedules and last minute cancellations for a valid reason. But when it comes to instructing you on road, make sure to give your 100%, focus and be very attentive to his instructions. He takes his job very seriously and is focused on making his students a perfect safe driver. There was a time when I almost gave up on Joseph because I felt he was being very hard on me. When I went on road with my husband, I could see my driving was much better than what my previous instructor taught me. That's when I realized, no matter what if I continue with Joseph I will definitely pass my G2 and that's what happened. Passed G2 in first attempt. Just believe in Joseph and his process and be confident in yourself, you will definitely pass G2 in your first attempt. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Joseph. In my case, I felt sessions are dragging in, but it was all worth it in the end.

Fantastic experience: I have a good experience with the school. Before me joining the school, I was practicing a lot, but it did not help me in my G2 test - there was no clear system in my head. My parallel parking was not stable. One lesson was enough to close the topic! We spent 5 hours practicing on the road: I have improved my skills in changing lanes and turning left/right. It was enough to make my driving safe and pass the test. Some tips: the school requires some planning, and it might be difficult or impossible to get a spot on the same week.

Fantastic experience: Driving 101 Driving School was recommended to me by a friend in the area whose daughter was trained by the school. In particular, my friend recommended Joseph, the driving instructor. We decided to sign up and we are so happy we did. Joseph is patient, attentive, thorough, and an excellent teacher. When we met, he told me that he would ensure that our daughter came out of training a safe, alert, technically sound, calm driver. Joseph kept contact with me along my daughter’s journey but really put the responsibility on her for booking her lessons and taking his feedback and applying it on her own. I appreciated that he gave her that sense of responsibility and independence. He is serious and won’t be easy on the learners which is exactly what helped my daughter grow. All in all, I think it’s worth looking past the big driving schools with a conveyer belt of instructors and seek out a school and instructor who are passionate about what do, understand that emotions are at play, and instil confidence in learners so they can be safe drivers. I am confident enough that I just signed up my son for the course and recommend the school to my friends. Thank you, Driving 101 and Joseph!

Negative experience: Poor service. The coach can not guarantee at least one lesson per week, so the progress is constantly delayed. Moreover, I am still not feel ready to take the exam even after 10 hours of training. Furthermore, the coach are often angry with my small imperfection that can actually create nearly no damage. I highly recommend you not to come to this school.

I came to train with Joseph, hoping that I can pass the G1 road test with first try. I indeed did it with first try! Even with my deafness, I am able to do well in driving with help of Joseph. If deaf people want someone who is willing to help you as well as he will fight for your rights, pick this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of taking driving lessons with Said and I can confidently say that he is one of the best instructor. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and experienced. He helped me improve my driving skills significantly and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. He was always punctual and professional, and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was prepared for my driving test. I passed my G2 test and thanks to his guidance and support. Fantastic experience: First of all I want to thank Joseph and driving 101 for taking me on and helping me pass my g2 in a short amount of time / under a lot of pressure . We had 6 lessons together in total. Now , I must say .. Joseph is a tough teacher . He is not for the weak . My experience with him was interesting to say the least . On the day of the last lesson/road test , I thought we were going to kill each other ( LOL) but his teaching methods/ style most definitely helped me to pass my g2 on my FIRST try and I am very thankful/grateful. Joseph knows his stuff , follow his techniques and you will pass . Be confident and trust the process …. Even when under pressure . He is tough/firm for your benefit . Fantastic experience: With Joseph’s help I transitioned from having driving anxiety to passing my G2 test within 7 months. He taught me all the key skills to being a complement driver which allowed me to overcome my anxiety and eventually enjoy driving. Negative experience: My instructor was Joseph and I took 18 sessions with him for G (failed) then tried G2(failed). I took driving classes with Joseph in Oct 2022 and the reason behind my delayed review is self-doubt induced by him. All my sessions were only verbal abuse and he constantly kept shouting at me which made me self-doubt my ability to an extent that during one class he shouted at me saying "You will kill me one day if you keep driving like this". After that, I stopped trying to learn and gave up on myself. Few things to highlight: 1. If you already know driving then Joseph maybe okay for you. But, if your a newbie, then I would suggest to skip as he doesn't teach basics and he assumes that you know it. 2. If you can't handle someone continuously shouting at you while you concentrate on the road, then I would suggest to skip. 3. Also note, his sessions are 40-50mins max. 4. He will criticize your driving skills so that you take more sessions with him. 5. He's on phone during the lesson. 6. He also makes you read most of the sign boards aloud while driving that deviates you from concentrating on the road. 7. For G, he doesn't take you on highway as often as you would wish. In 10 sessions, he allowed me to drive on the highway only twice. 8. He will teach you parking techniques only on the last day and will allow you to practice only once or twice max. I don't understand how this school has 4.5 star rating but do check the other lower rating reviews before you decide to go with this school. I have observed the school responding to few reviews very unethically. So, beware.

I put off getting my licence for a long time and basically waited until the last minute to earn my G2. Driving 101's staff was really helpful and supportive. I found his in-car coaching to be thorough, rigorous, and fair, and I passed my G2 road test on the first try with his assistance. I am a really anxious person who suffers from a bit of anxiety, yet he truly helped me push through my difficulties and pass my test. He is extremely accommodating to everyone's schedule, which was really helpful while working a full-time job and attending school. I would strongly suggest him and the driving school to anyone looking to acquire or refresh their driving abilities in order to pass their road test.

It would greatly benefit both the students and the school if they were to activate voice recording during these sessions. Such a measure would serve two important purposes: 1. Personal Improvement: By having access to the recorded sessions, students can identify their mistakes and make necessary corrections to enhance their driving skills. 2. Protection Against Mistreatment: In the unfortunate event of any verbal abuse, insults, or inappropriate behavior from the instructor, having a solid record of such incidents can provide students with undeniable evidence. This would be particularly useful as the school seems to have a strict no-complaint policy. I strongly recommend that everyone consider voice recording or using Go Pro/Active cameras during lessons at this school. However, it is essential to prioritize privacy concerns and seek consent before recording. Recording sessions can lead to two possible outcomes: either the instructor will start behaving professionally, or students will have concrete evidence to support their claims if a dispute arises. If you have doubts about the validity of my review, I encourage you to examine the response provided by the school. It is evident that they are not receptive to feedback and tend to respond with baseless accusations. Furthermore, I urge you to read through the negative reviews and observe how the school has handled such feedback. This will give you a clear picture of the treatment clients receive here. Lastly, if anyone is pursuing legal action against the school and requires a witness, I am willing to provide my assistance. Please feel free to reach out to me in such cases. I'd also like to emphasize the extent of this person's rudeness and unreasonableness. They went as far as accusing me of being under the influence, but I am more than willing to undergo a blood test to disprove their unfounded claims. Based on their response, it becomes evident who is truly at fault and who is attempting to conceal their actions.

Fantastic experience: Joseph is one the most well prepared instructors. I had to do my G road test and I had only two days before the exam, so I call Driving 101 team and I was able to do only two hours of practice. That was enough for Joseph to teach me the best he could in such time. I took the test in the first attempt. Much appreciated!

Fantastic experience: Once I finished my online driving school courses. I had the pleasure of learning how to drive with instructor, Said. I had very little experience driving in the past, and it was all quite new to me. Of course, being nervous he made me feel very comfortable on the very first day he had trust in me which made me very relaxed. He made sure to teach me the things that I needed practice on. Fantastic experience: Driving 101 is one of the best schools! beeing caught up with work, raising 3 kids and COVID restrictions, almost forgot that my G2 drivers license is expiring in 2 months. I had contacted several schools in my area and this school was the only one to respond momentarily. Joseph, instructor assigned to me, reached out and inquired about my situation: purpose of classes, experience, expectations. After 2 lessons, he advised to take some more classes and offered help in booking my exam. What impressed me the most was Joseph's attitude: he said, forget about the exam - what's more important - is driving SAFELY! really helps to concentrate on what really important! As a parent of 3, this is of utmost importance to me! 5 stars!

Negative experience: If I can give 0 starts, I’ll. I went to this driving school, I already have driving license from back home. So I didn’t think I would need that much of practice. But I still bought a few practice. I only went for one because this joseph keeps screaming at me. So I only book one last practice on the day of my exam. He look at me and start saying ‘you don’t come for practice so you not gonna pass’ and start put me down. When you’re a teacher or a instructor you don’t put your student down. You put there confident up. But this guy is so bad and rude. Arrogant for real. I don’t recommend. But in the end I pass my exam and he was so shock. Ahahahaha is face was the best when I told him I pass ahahahah

The team at Driving 101 was so helpful and supportive. The on-line BDE course was straightforward and easy to navigate. When it came time for the in-car lessons, Joseph was flexible and always helped me schedule lessons around by crazy work schedule. Joseph's lessons gave be a great understanding of the fundamentals and basics of proper driving, especially in a busy city. Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience at Driving 101 with Joseph. I found his in-car instruction thorough, firm, and very fair, and I passed my G road test with his help. I had been to multiple different driving schools for previous tests (G2 and G) and didn't have the best results because no one else was as focused as Joseph to make sure that I had proper techniques and used them consistently. I also never came across another instructor as invested in his students' success. My skills visibly improved over the course of the lessons, but more than anything I gained way more confidence and felt safer driving as a result. I definitely recommend this school both for new drivers and more experienced drivers looking to fine tune. It's worth every penny.
