Fantastic experience: Arfan is an excellent instructor and a great person. I spent 10 hours practicing for the G2 test with him. He gave me useful advice and tips to pass the exam. In every class, he took me to the actual test route, helping me become familiar with it. Every lesson felt like a mock test, which was incredibly helpful. On the test day, he will be there with you, assisting with check-in. If he cannot be there, his experienced colleague will assist you. I felt extremely prepared before taking the test, and I passed it today. I will continue my full G lessons with him. I am super happy!

Negative experience: I booked the vehicle for my G2 test in June, 2023 and Arfan met me with his beat down Toyota Corolla. He was so snarky from the moment I began driving and for the next 1 hour of driving time was extremely rude to me, kept asking me who taught me, how long have I been learning to drive etc. He completely shook my confidence in the 2 hours of paid time that he was with me. I failed my G2 test because of this guy and his horrible car. Took another test in Orillia and passed my G2 in July, 2023. I only wish I didnt pay this ungrateful guy to fail me and be so rude to me. DO NOT BOOK HIM FOR YOUR TEST. Edit: I passed my G test today May 23, 2024 from Guelph drive test centre, did it by renting out a car from Budget Rentals. Just remembered this review and stand by it, don't go through with these guys!

Fantastic experience: I passed my G drive-test this afternoon, my instructor is Arfan of Guelph Driving School. I failed in my G drive test on my first attempt on August 2022 with my own car. I was very upset at that time because I am a very experienced driver and I have been driving six private cars over a million kilometers in my birth place (no car accidents or traffic law violation during the thirty seven years) . So after taking the G1 I don't think I need to find an instructor to help me to pass the G test. Eventually the failure let me down. So I search from the net and find Arfan whom to be a local instructor familiarizing the place of Guelph. While I met him this afternoon I told him the incident of my failure. He then analyzed that my failure which was due to the "too early signaling" to make a lane change when I turn into the Highway 6, though personally I fully understood that I would not make the slow lane change abruptly, because there were two cars merging into the slow lane on their left. But the examiner failed me of "intended changing lane unsafely". After Arfan explained this to me I learnt what the examiner was thinking. So I was inspired by Arfan how to drive in a proper way not to let the examiner thinking that I would change lane unsafely. I nearly got no mistake in my record of G examination today. Many thanks to Arfan, and I strongly recommend all those experienced drivers to take a lesson with Arfan, definitely they will benefit from his expert instructions. Fantastic experience: A week before I had just a G1, but now I'm a proud, happy and satisfied possessor of G! It was only possible because of Arfan. He was calm, considerate, patient, precise and communicated objectively what I needed to improve to ace it on my first attempt, which I did. Even on the day of my test he was there for me as my friend to control my nerves, still kept me focused when the test was delayed, gave me special tips when it started raining, and waited for hours till I came back with a genuine smile for achieving what I feared was probably impossible. Negative experience: Waste of money and time stay away from these bunch. The name of the instructor was Gohar. The car wheels sounded like they were falling off, no feedback was provided when the class was booked specifically for that as we already have a car. And the class was for 2 hours which would have given plenty time to observe mistakes that were being made.

I had 10 in-car lessons and each mistake that he politely pointed out was where I focused my efforts most on. Salman was calm, patient and genuinely wants his students to suceed. Moving forward, I'm looking into paying for in-car lessons for the G road test and hope I have this instructor again.
