Negative experience: Decent service except for the instructor Keith chin. He was disrespectful and rude towards me and my family when addressing my driving I would give him a 0/5 if possible

Fantastic experience: I have just finished a driving refresher course with Don Heibein. I am an older new driver in my 60s, and I was still apprehensive and rather nervous driving. Don was amazing! He was so patient and kind and extremely knowledgeable. I actually learned more from him then my original driver's course for my G2 and G. In just 5 lessons, my confidence has improved tremendously, and I am no longer fearful behind the wheel. Thank you so much Don! You're a wonderful teacher/instructor, and I feel so grateful to have had these lessons with you.

Positive experience: Lauren was a lovely driving instructor. Very patient and taught really well. Helped me pass G2. The course work is pretty straightforward. There were just some things that I didn't like, but it was great most of the time.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the young driver’s course a couple of weeks ago and it was a great experience! I had Lauren as my driving instructor and she made the lessons fun but also productive, she was patient and really helped me to become a more confident driver. Fantastic experience: Had an overall informative and efficient experience. My instructor, Samantha Lee, gave some very poignant and helpful tips and was able to ease me in to the driving experience. Our lessons also had a very chill and relaxed vibe, save for a few hiccups here and there on my part, and she was very understanding and helpful when it came to said little hiccups. Overall, great experience, definetly recommend her and Young Drivers.

Fantastic experience: I had a great learning experience with Donald Heibein, who was my Instructor. He was very kind, calm, patient and knowledge. He clarified all my questions and helped gain more confidence. He gave me very helpful tips and tricks, that immensely improved my driving skills. I highly recommended Don and Young Drivers of Canada!

Negative experience: On Wednesday June 26th, 2024 I was behind a light brown/tan Toyota Corolla with an instructor driving. (Clearly an instructor he was the only person in the car.) He anticipated the light at Dickey Settlement and Roseville Rd., pulling out into the intersection while the light was red. He was speeding at least 20 over the limit on Roseville Rd and couldn't stay in his lane properly on 97 into Cambridge, by the looks of it he was on his phone. I would definitely not choose this company to teach anybody how to drive.

Fantastic experience: I loved my instructor Seyd. He taught me everything very well and made sure that I was 100% prepared for my test. He was very nice and he knows how to teach amazingly. I passed my first time thanks to him!

Negative experience: I love my in car lessons with my instructor, I always find them helpful and they’ve definitely boost my confidence in my driving skills. Dave is a great instructor who is funny and makes me, who is a nervous driver, a lot more comfortable. However the customer service is lacking when it comes to compassion towards customers. I got heat exhaustion the day before a lesson and called to cancel because I thought “they probably would rather us be safe rather than me potentially pass out or do something potentially dangerous when I’m not feeling 100%”. The cancellation policy simply does not make sense, you’d think that they’d value safety but that was not the case when I called and got put through to Kris. I told her that I was recovering from heat exhaustion and that I thought I’d better cancel so I could be safe and she said well you could’ve called yesterday. I told her I wasn’t sure if I could attend my lesson so I wanted to see if I could. I understand that Young Drivers is a business but I believe that they can also be empathy given when someone calls explaining a medical situation. Instead of Kris saying anything remotely kind, she just said well we’re going to have to charge you a cancellation fee. Which is fair but I don’t think it is 140$ fair. Even if she couldn’t excuse the fee for a medical case, I personally would’ve appreciated an apology and a “hope you feel better”. Be human. I think a thing they should keep in mind since they are a business, is that I could’ve gone elsewhere. Young drivers is expensive and I paid for it because I thought it would be the best and most of the time it is, just not in this case. I ended up driving tonight despite not being at my best and I am happy with how the lesson went, as usual.

Fantastic experience: i had samantha as my instructor and she was so amazing!!! going into drivers ed i was really nervous about driving, but she helped me gain the confidence i needed to pass my test! her calm demeanour and clear instructions made driving less scary and i’m very grateful i got to work with her!!

Fantastic experience: I paid for the training package as soon as I got my G1 (8 months ago) and my instructor Lauren was such an amazing teacher. Many of my friends and relatives were surprised that I wasn’t strictly trained on the G2 test routes and yet I’ve just passed my G2 test flawlessly with my only issue being braking too hard sometimes. It was so bittersweet knowing that I won’t be seeing Lauren anytime soon during my last day with her. I’ll definitely be looking back fondly on her teachings every time I get behind the steering wheel.

Negative experience: Horrible service, the instructor I was with was a complete jerk, one small mishap and he starts yelling, grabbing the wheel and slams the breaks no matter what. He was always negative about everything, rarely saying something positive.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Don was awesome. He taught me so much and helped me properly and thoroughly prepare for my road test! I would 100% recommend him. He makes the learning driving experience so fun.

Fantastic experience: I purchased the Virtual + Car lessons + G2 road test package and my experience is great. Just passed my test a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier. I want to specifically thank my in car instructor Michael Tanner who not only taught me a lot of driving skills, but also helped me gain so much confidence and made me start enjoying driving. Plus, dude is funny and friendly. :) The staff I contact to book lessons were also very nice and helpful. Before I met Young Drivers, I have tried two different private instructors and both times I was pressured by the instructors into booking the road test after merely one or two hours of in car practice, telling me that’s how all their students do it. Both times I was way unprepared and failed the test. My confidence was crushed and I became quite anxious about driving. In comparison, Young Drivers offers amazing learning content (online and in car) that helps me focus on building the right driving skills and habits that last much longer than just passing a road test. It also allows me to go at my own pace. And overall this is a much better learning approach for me personally. I’ll definitely reach out again if I need assistance preparing for my G test in the future.

Fantastic experience: Just completed my Young Drivers course and road test with Michael as my instructor, and the knowledge and confidence gained in those weeks has been invaluable. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and takes the time to explain and answer any questions you might have. This course covers a lot and really sets you up well to continue driving safe and confidently. Thanks Mike & YD!!

Fantastic experience: Samantha was my driving instructor and she was amazing! She was kind, patient, and willing to go over anything until I was 100% confident. I was super nervous when I started, but by the time my course was finished I felt confident and ready for my test. If the other instructors are as good as Sam, this program is the best course there is.

Negative experience: Typically I’m not one to leave a bad review but my experience with this company was horrible from the beginning, and I feel that they don’t deserve the amount of positive reviews they have gotten. I completed the education course portion online during Covid, in the spring of 2021. At this time the program was the worst and most frustrating platform to use. The content itself was fine, but the site was so incredibly slow that it would take 20-30 minutes just to load the next page (I wish this was an exaggeration). When I called the company to let them know of the issue, every time they would say “they’re aware of it and working on trying to fix it”. Not once did it ever become fixed or better, and it probably took me twice as long to complete the education portion of the program due to this. When it came to the in-car lessons, it wasn’t any better. I booked my first in-car lesson and everything was fine, but due to Covid protocols unfortunately it had to be cancelled. I understand this doesn’t have anything to do with the company itself, but how they handled this wasn’t great. My instructor himself was the one to reach out to cancel my lesson, and told me the office would then be in contact with me to reschedule once Covid restrictions were lifted. I waited around a month after restrictions were lifted for the office to contact me until I realized no one was calling and had to then call them myself. When I talked to them, whoever I spoke to was incredibly rude and blamed me for not contacting them when I was told the office would contact me directly. Regardless, I rescheduled my first lesson. All was going well until my instructor started canceling my lessons several times with very short notice. I was very accommodating since these cancellations had to do with a surgery my instructor was trying to schedule. Unfortunately my instructor wasn’t able to get his surgery, but continued to schedule lessons with me, leading me to believe that he was fine to do this. I was extremely uncomfortable in the last few lessons with this instructor because I could tell he was in pain, and was moaning and groaning the entire time I was driving during our lesson. He barely spoke to me unless it was to give me directions on where to drive, and even then I was barely receiving that. I felt bad because it was clear he was in pain, as any sudden movement or turn of the car would result in moans or grunts coming from him, though I was extremely uncomfortable because I was still a new driver and all I wanted was to finish the lesson instead of learning how to drive. At the end of my in car lessons, my instructor once again told me that the office would be in contact with me to book my driving test, since I had paid extra to use my instructor’s car for the exam. I waited again for almost a month for the office to call and I received no contact. I’m not sure why I was always the one who had to reach out when I was consistently being told I would be contacted. When I called them myself, the person on the phone very rudely asked “Well did you send in your availability?” I told them no, since no one had informed me that that’s something I needed to do, otherwise I would have done that weeks ago. When the woman on the phone tried to book me for my driving test, she informed me that my instructor was actually no longer with the company and I would have to book with a different instructor for the use of their car for the exam. Again, why was I not informed that my instructor was no longer with the company until I myself had to reach out? And now I would have to use a completely different car that I had no experience driving with for my G2 test, when I had paid extra to use my instructor’s car. With that being said, I met Mike the day before my G2 test and he was excellent. I felt more comfortable with him in the hour we had together than I ever did with my previous instructor, and I felt I had learned so much from him in that regard. And he did help me pass my test the next day. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Just got my G2 with a 92, great driving school! Mike was my instructor, he's patient and really helpful throughout my driving, especially for a student like me who doesn't have a practice vehicle. He made driving really easy and gave me lots of encouragement, def would recommend to people who want to learn driving!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Lauren was the best! She was patient, kind and encouraging. I get nervous easily and she helped to calm my nerves. She also kept up great conversation and I never felt awkward or scared to practice driving with her! I was so happy to get to have an instructor as helpful and sweet as her. I would definitely recommend Lauren as a driver's instructor!

Negative experience: Booked for a 90 minute G road test prep back in the summer with one of the instructors. Was taken for 30 mins and was returned and informed that I need more practice on the road before furthering lessons, fair enough. The instructor informed that I should text him to rebook to get the unused outstanding 1 hour that was paid for in the lesson package after he returned from vacation. Attempted a few times to get a hold of him via text to schedule an appointment and the communication was very poor, he ended up not responding to my text and ghosted me, so I never got to use up the outstanding 1 hour that I paid for. It was unfortunately a real waste of time. I ended up getting excellent lessons from MP driving school in Woodstock instead, and they helped me pass my road tests very efficiently.

Fantastic experience: Lauren was AMAZING!!! She is calm and supportive while also providing the constructive criticism students need in order to become better drivers. Would highly recommend to a friend!!!

Fantastic experience: Are you super nervous about the road test and feel like you aren’t prepared at all? This is the place for you. I went with Sam and I went from a nervous wreck to the most confident driver 2 weeks! Because of Sam I was able to pass my road test and I’m so grateful! She’s kind, patient, supportive and a great teacher! The receptionist was also very sweet so I’m confident that all their staff is amazing! Thank you Young Drivers!

Fantastic experience: Mike is an amazing driving instructor! He remained calm throughout all of our lessons together, didn’t pressure me, made me feel safe and didn’t get upset or annoyed when I made a mistake. He’s very patient and gave lots of reassurance during lessons to keep me going! Plus he’s very funny and made lessons quite enjoyable even if i was having a bad day! :)

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Keith as a driving instructor for in-car lessons! I was in a time crunch to get my G2 and G before my license expired, so I took in-car lessons with Keith to prepare for both tests. He would always answer my questions and review maneuvers that I was struggling with. He explains maneuvers in a clear way and would clarify things whenever I asked him to. I would not have passed either of my tests on the first try without him. Thanks so much, Keith!

Learning to drive can be a nervous experience, but Michaels demeanor and reassuring presence made it easier to become comfortable with driving. I never felt rushed or pressured during our lessons. Id also like to mention that Michaels skill as an instructor is very smooth and superb, explaining everything he's doing and what he notices as he drives. He also has an excellent in-depth knowledge of the rules of the road, ensuring that I not only learned the basics but that I have learned more then what is required. Negative experience: I definitely do not recommend. I enrolled my daughter in young drivers thinking it is supposed to be one of the best. The self directed online course has tons of issues and was awful for her to try and work through. Now she is finally on to in car lessons. Her instructor is completely unprofessional. We have now booked 6 in car lessons. of the first 5 he cancelled 2. after the second cancelation he refused to answer calls or texts to rebook. I finally called the office after a week and had them book for the 6th time. He didn't show up to this appointment, no call, no text just a no show. he also would not answer our calls or texts. So of 6 booked appointments he has only shown up for 3. The 3 he did show up for he was anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes late for them. My advice is to stay away from this place. if it is to late and you have already signed up or started your online then I would suggest you demand that Hal not be your instructor.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Lauren as your instructor if you're nervous about driving! She was very patient and kind, which was really helpful for someone who was as anxious about driving for the first time as I was. We talked about, and focused on, the specific things that were more difficult for me so I'd have the best possible learning experience.

He’s very calm and understanding and his lessons were so incredibly helpful to prepare me for the G2, as well as the G test. The lessons were very easy to understand, and they also consisted of funny and easy conversation which definitely helped me to relax while driving. He feels more like a friend than an instructor a lot of the time which is so amazing. I highly recommend him to everyone but especially to anyone who feels driving anxiety at all, he has helped me overcome any fears just by our conversations and letting me know that it’s okay to make mistakes. Fantastic experience: Donald was my instructor for the in-car lessons portion of the course and he gave very clear instructions that were easy to follow. Donald was a great individual and instructor to complete my driving lessons with for sure. Now, even though the course is expensive, it is definitively worth it. The sheer experience and knowledge you achieve from the given material we learn here will automatically make you a superior driver.

Fantastic experience: I had Donnie Heibein as my instructor while I was preparing for the G2 road test and he was an excellent teacher. Very reassuring and candid at all times. Provided immediate and accurate feedback. Was always prepared for any question or situation that could occur. It's thanks to him that I passed the G2 test on my first try!

I was a super anxious driver, and she helped me gain confidence and skill. She taught me so well and I still remember every technique she taught me months later.

Fantastic experience: David was my instructor at Young Drivers and made my lessons fun and engaging. He always had funny anecdotes to keep the mood light and helpful tips to help me improve as a driver. I always felt like he had my back and put my mind at ease while I experienced my first times driving around town. Thanks to him, I was more than ready to pass my driving test and be a good defensive driver for practical use in life.

Fantastic experience: My instructor, Michael Tanner, was very engaging and supportive. He made me feel safe behind the wheel and would continuously give great driving tips. Overall, he made me such a better driver and helped boost my confidence on the road!

Fantastic experience: Mike was my instructor over the "in-car lessons" course. Mike was incredibly easy to become comfortable with as he is very friendly and funny. Off rip he starts appropriate conversation for the driving conditions, while giving clear instructions as to what you will be doing during the lesson. Mike and I shared loads of stories with one another and shared many laughs together. Mike taught me loads of techniques and information to become a driver that meets the ministration standards. A lot of the times Mike would feel like a friend more than a driving instructor and I could not ask for a better one. Thank you Mike, hope to see you again man.

Fantastic experience: I Had an Absolutely amazing experience with my instructor Keith. As someone who had failed their previous driving test with a DIFFERENT company, his model was effective at re-shaping and fine tuning my driving to get rid of bad habits and needless anxious movements. It was because of this that I have not only passed my driving test but am now a better and safer driver for the future. (5 stars!!)

Fantastic experience: Lauren at Young Drivers took my daughter through all the stages of getting her license - from the G1 to the G2 exit (full G). Throughout it all, she was knowledgeable, patient and kind and we couldn't be more pleased. Young Drivers gave a thorough education and really trained my daughter on how to be safe driver, and helped her through the licensing process, making the tests much less stressful and easier to navigate. Thank you Lauren and Young Drivers!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Michael Tanner is amazing. He is very good at giving clear instructions. He is not one to get annoyed or angry and he is always calm and has a positive attitude. I learnt lots from him and he overall Made me a better driver.

Fantastic experience: Overall a great experience for my son and I. The office staff were very responsive, helpful and friendly. My son’s in-car instructor Don Heibein did a fantastic job at bolstering my son’s confidence by providing him with immediate feedback that was backed up with reasoning, real world examples and clear guidelines. Don was candid and respectful which clearly resonated with my son as I have observed a deliberate effort by him to develop, maintain and practice the good habits that Don taught him.

Fantastic experience: I just completed my lessons with Michael, and it was the best training I've ever received. He made me feel safe behind the wheel, and gave me many tips for driving that actually made sense. He allowed me to develop my skills as a driver, and I would do the course again in a heart beat ( as long as Michael was the instructor). 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I signed my daughter Liv up for your services. I have to say from the early stages of training to obtaining her G as of today, it has been flawless! Even the last minute refresher before the last road text…perfect. Mike was her instructor…couldn’t have asked for a better teacher!! Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! They're a bit pricey, but you really get what you paid for. My driving instructor was Hal (Waterloo area) and he was incredible. Super knowledgeable and a great teacher. I was nervous starting out but after just an hour with him in the car, I felt as confident as if I'd been driving my whole life. He also really cares about you and goes the extra mile for his students. Can't recommend him highly enough!
