Positive experience: I chose young drivers due to several recommendations from previous students. I took the online course so that I could study at my own pace while still working full-time. I can honestly say that my experience was very good and it helped my driving improve so much. My confidence increased and I was much more prepared for driving. My instructor Katherine and her dog were lovely and gave me lots of tips to improve my skills. I have tried several other driving schools in Ontario including Guelph, but this is the best. They are very professional. Fantastic experience: The ease of use with the online courses was a big plus with this program. The office staff are very accommodating when it comes to changing the schedule for in car lessons. Instructions are clear, with lots of encouragement. Well worth the cost

Fantastic experience: I chose "young drivers" because of the numerous positive reviews and impeccable reputation and am very pleased. I had the opportunity to study in Katrin Grem’s group, I want to highlight her as an excellent teacher regarding both theoretical and practical classes. She does her job flawlessly, which in turn helped me pass the test the first time. I would recommend this school for novice drivers because, in my opinion, there is no better option.

Fantastic experience: In August I passed my Road Test on the first try, and it was all thanks to YoungDrivers and my instructor Kyla! I was a very nervous driver but Kyla taught me so patiently and calmly, she gave me so much confidence. This school changed my life and I finally have freedom and can drive to school and work every day. So if you are deciding on a driving school to go to, YD is 100% worth it!!

If you’re going for young drivers you should specifically request larry, he does an amazing job making sure you’re a great and safe driver on the roads and he’s just a good guy overall. Felt very prepared for my G2 test going in and it was a breeze. Thank you Larry, and young drivers.

Positive experience: If you need to learn how to drive a car, this is the place. They'll help teach you the basics, not just how to navigate the vehicle but also what the rules of the road are. You will need to study to get the G1 licenses, but once you spend enough time with them, you'll be able to get G2 and then the full G license. It can be costly, depending on how long you want to be taught how to drive, but the teachers will help you get used to the road.

Fantastic experience: My YD lessons and experience was great! My driver instructor the very kind, easygoing, and patient Larry Taylor. I’d already had lots of driving experience prior to taking this course, but over the course of time I’ve spent being taught by Larry was very insightful as he helped me gain more understanding and confidence in many aspects of driving such as parallel parking, reverse parking, speed management, etc. The whole of each lesson he had been very patient and extremely calm till the very last moment. If there was anyone I would choose to teach me to drive again, it would 110% be Larry. Thank you soo much for helping me pass my G2 test!

Fantastic experience: Young drivers was a great way for me to learn the correct habits and increase my comfort in driving! Amanda was a great instructor who was calm, patient and was always willing to try her best when explaining the rules of the road. She is kind, helpful, and always had a smile on her face. At first, I was quite nervous to start driving but as the lessons went on the comfort increased! With all the hard work, it paid off and I got my G2! Overall I had a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Amanda was an awesome instructor! I used Young Drivers to pass my G2 test, and then had Amanda prepare me for my final G. She was so friendly and supportive, and reduced my stress throughout the entire process. I was able to take my final G test with confidence and little stress, which made a huge difference. Fantastic experience: Great learning experience! I signed up for online learning that let me study at my own pace. My instructor was helpful and encouraging, with useful advice for both testing and general driving. Helped a great deal to prepare me for the test. Edit: Having just passed my G test, I am grateful for my instructor and the pre-test warm up session. Helped me work out any nerves I had and made me much more relaxed for the test itself.

Negative experience: Lessons are very expensive, and instructors act as if they are doing a favor to you. Clearly, that's not the case with the price they charge. Amanda, stop being a whinny woman, if you had a problem, you should not have been a driving instructor. Your job is to teach, not to yell and moan at your students. I did not pay this much money to get this horrible attitude from instructors. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.

I learned to drive in my 30s and was super super anxious - Kyla took it all in stride and really helped to build my confidence. Highly highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: Booked two lessons in January and February, one was canceled because of new lockdown, but then they tried to charge me for this lesson. When I called them, they said that it was a mistake and everything is ok. I called one day before my second lesson. They told me that they just canceled it. Without any notification just canceled my lesson two days before my road test.

Fantastic experience: Young Drivers is well worth the price. Kathryn did a fantastic job helping me prepare for my G2 and G road tests. I passed both on my first try and I feel confident in my driving skills, thanks to my in-car lessons with her. Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a drivers ed, this is it! The online/in person lessons and in-car lessons are fantastic, there is great communication and it’s very professional and helpful. The independent lessons are also filled with so much information that is also sooooo helpful, especially if you’re a visual learner!. I have Dawn Grover as my instructor, and she is simply the best! She always helps me feel more confident behind the wheel and when I mess up, she corrects me in a calm and polite manner which is helpful for us learning drivers! There’s also great conversations :) I used to be TERRIFIED of driving, but now I feel super confident and am excited to finally drive on my own! Definitely recommend!

I had done the online courses and it was very in depth and engaging, my only issue being the server for the site which caused many technical difficulties. Fantastic experience: I had Marina as my drive instructor and I have nothing but good things to say. She makes you feel compfortable in the car, which can be pretty nerve racking, and is always there to lend a helping hand. I would certainly recommend the Young Drivers of Canada program and specifically Marina (drive instructor) to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The self directed lessons and lessons in class (or rather online this time) were excellently executed. I really felt like I was learning to be a better driver. However, the best part of the course was the in car lessons. My instructor was Kathryn Graham. She was a fantastic teacher that was able to offer wonderful feedback. My driving improved tenfold throughout my lessons with her. Thanks to her, I've become a much more confident driver and no longer feel unsafe behind the wheel. She was an excellent instructor and very fun to have lessons with. I would absolutely recommend this course, and if possible, request Kathryn for an instructor. I didn't have any trouble passing my G2 test with her instruction! Overall a marvellous teacher!

Fantastic experience: I was reccomended young drivers from a friend who used their services before they got their licence. For years I had relied on public and other paid transportation, friends and family and it was time for me to get my own licence. Then I realized, I had no experience, and was very intimidated by the prospect of driving and owning the responsibility that comes with it. I signed up with Young Drivers, and I learned about the responsibilities and potential consequences of driving. I learned about the rules of the road, and how to be safe and proactive behind the wheel for my first time. The in class as well as e-learning gave me valuable perspective only a seasoned driver would have developed, and helped me learn about my cognitive strengths and weaknesses. In car, my first instructor was not a good match for me personally, however after inquiring, staff at young drivers paired me with another instructor who was litterally a God send. He took the time to hear my concerns, understand them, and really took care in his approach to working through the material with me. He was not judgmental, and never made me feel inadequate while I was developing the skills needed and the confidence required to safely operate a motor vehicle. He used visual aids, demonstrations, and we went over things I had trouble with, often offering different explanations to find what made the most sense to me. I left feeling like I had a program that was really tailored to my limited experience and felt dignified and respected in the steps I had to take to overcome what I realized was a fear of driving. I was able to use the instructors car for my G2 test, and I passed my G2 test without a problem. My evaluator commented on the cleanliness of the vehicle and noted that it was much appreciated, during covid. I am truly greatful for the program at Young drivers, the teaching staff and administration coordinating sheduales especially after cancelations during Covid lockdowns. And of course my instructor, who put a lot of work into bringing me up to speed, took extra precautions during covid to ensure our safety in close quarters, and left me feeling like I had someone in my corner throughout the whole process. I would recommend their services to anyone whether you just became eligible for your licence, have waited a while like I did, had your licence expire, or even if you've have had it for some time you can take something away from this program, brush up on your skills, and even learn something new.

Negative experience: Absolutely not worth the money you pay: you'll shed some 70-100% more than what local Joe driving school charges and you'll get only pep talk in return. The value of your money will not be reflected in the quality of the training. They will do everything they can to reassure you are a valuable customer and your business is important to them, but that's about it.
