Fantastic experience: I recently got my license after completing my 103.5 hours AZ training at Durham truck and forklift driving school pickering and I can recommend them highly enough. My instructor, Muhammad Aza , was not only professional and patient, but also incredibly knowledgeable. He went above and beyond simply preparing me for the road test. Muhammad Aza provided invaluable insights into the trucking world, including how to handle heavy vehicles on the road, advanced backing maneuvering techniques, and crucial safety procedures while approaching intersection and turning. He demystified truck components and inspections, explaining them in a clear and concise manner that made it easy to understand and confidently demonstrate to the MTO examiner during the road test. What truly set school apart was their comprehensive approach to exam preparation. Muhammad gave me a realistic preview of the test format, including showing me pictures of the exam center to familiarize myself with the environment. On the day of the test, he ensured I arrived early, drove me to the test center route, and instilled confidence in me before I even stepped out of the truck. He even provided guidance on selecting the best test centers for optimal success. All the teachers are so good they have 6 trucks for training and 2 yards so you can do as much as you want to do the back-ups inspection everything. Fantastic experience: I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team of Durham Truck School for helping me achieve my AZ manual transmission license. The staffs are extremely professional with what they do specially Mohammed Aza Sir who helps the student from day 1 with their complete inspection and backing of truck with trailer. He is extremely patient while handling all the students from different parts of the world and makes sure that every inspections are repetitively practiced till the last day so that you have a good loop on it. I got a comment from my examiner that your inspections are ‘extremely flawless’ and I owe it all to Mr. Mohammed and his teaching techniques. Would also like to thank the Young-Old funny man Chris for taking me out on roads and showing me the techniques to maneuver the truck safely. He is super calm and does not panic at all when a new student is driving which makes you even more comfortable and confident. Not to forget the pillar of the team-Katelyn who manages all the schedules so well that you never have to compromise on your work. She will work something out and will fit you in for a class even on your busy days. She is very organized and collected with the work she does. At the end would like to thank Matt and Iwona for all your support and hiring such professionals in your team which makes our journey so memorable. I would recommend this school to everyone who wants to get their CDL or forklift license.

Fantastic experience: Me and my friend both of us came from jamaica, to do our AZ licences, we got our G, we were able to skip the G1 and G2 as we had our Abstract, signing up at Derham forklift and truck driving was an awesome experience, completed everything in 5 weeks awesome, Big up to Katelyn, Chris, Both Mohamed, Ioana and Matt amazing group of persons, the time spent to ensure we got the concept was unmatched, extremely professional and courteous. Negative experience: My rating is reflective of the poor training my husband received at this school. Not only are they unprofessional, but my husband never received proper or consistent training. Most after 3 attempts pass. And that's after the the 8,000 plus an additional 800$. The owner, Matine (Matt), of the school has no right to talk to an instructor who is going to test a student. Thats highly suspicious, unethical and raises concern of pay off. I believe this is deceptive and a money grab scheme. Will be connecting with the ministry of transportation for unethical practices. They are willing to lie and deceive to fail you on your test! Don't go with this school and if you do be ready to pay them for basically the training level of an elementary school. This is one of the many reasons I will never come back to Ontario. Sad to say when I was a kid it was better than it is now in Ontario, and why many people move out west to live.

Negative experience: Where do I start.. Alot of reviews here are positive, this is a deception. I did not cut off a pedestrian as you will see the business lying about dangerous action. This is a lie! You will see the business responded to my post! You can see they don't back up or support their students they bully them!! Shame on you! Most students FAIL the first time in this school, as well the second even third time! What they have set up is the school will charge you an extra 700 for approximately three catch up lessons before your retest plus you have to pay the drive test fee of a $99 each time. They know Oshawa fails students regularily for bogus reasons just to keep you paying extra money, many of my co students don't want to test in Oshawa yet they still send you there!This way they can also take advantage of the high failing rate of this center. Alot of people who aren't permanent residents as well as those myself who are trying to make a better life for ourselves get taken advantage of in this regard. The issue is the owner Matine (Matt) he has set up this system to work this way. A significant majority of students including myself find Matt to be very deceptive, a downright bully, very shady. I had entire weeks where they didn't book me in for driving practice, inspection practice, they go through teachers very often. As a result your training, your priority takes a back seat. They will shuffle alot of students ahead of you then push through others very very quickly before they have had a chance to really get proper driving training time. Up until just before my exam, my driving the manual transmission was still sub par, still miss shifting gears at times, yet they still booked me in for the test! I paid just under $8,000 for my training. They do the bare minimum to make sure you'll pass on the exam. They don't care if you pass cause if you don't you'll just have to pay them more money on top of what you already paid.. this is called extortion. It is illegal as well morally wrong. Also you will not practice where you will be testing, this costs an extra $200. Matine does not care about the money people pay as there is just another person coming that he can take their $10,000, he told me this, I have over five witnesses to this testimony well. Matine pretends to be your buddy.. he will ask everything ok? Do a fist bump but his heart is only waiting for any opportunity to extort more money out of you. Previous posts a few years ago refer to him as a Charlatan I can assure you he is completely that. Since Matine is a bully who likes to yell at you he also treats his staff like this as well. So the end result is who knows what you really have learned anyways as your instructor was there one day gone the next! Very few instructors stay to work with someone like this. I don't blame them in any way. Kris driving instructor is good he tries to get you comfortable with your driving. However you don't really get much driving time in this school before they are trying to push you out to get another student to get money out of them too. It's all about exploiting those who are trying to make a better future for their lives, The other staff in this school knowingly or unknowingly participate in this scheme. Instructor Muhammad is good, very detailed, the only instructor left at the moment as the others quit. Over the year I attended here out of the five instructors I had only two are left. So then your training is interrupted. Now you have to work with Matine who bullies, yells, belittles you, he even won't show up to do the training with you at times. Twice he did this to me leaving me alone in the yard with NO one to instruct me. If I could speak from my heart to you I would say please stay away from this school, don't believe these reviews that talk about first try got my liscence, the fail rate on first, even second try is very very high in this school. Many go to different school after this to do their retest as they are fed up, as well they can get retest for about half the price as this school.

The older Mohammed is my friend and perfect drive teacher and younger Mohammed is a pro schedule 1 teacher. I love you Kathlyn. Fantastic experience: I’d like to thank Durham Truck & Forklift Driving School for helping me get my AZ license (first try). All of the instructors there have been amazing since day one (when I got my Z endorsement with Iwona). Iwona was a determined yet patient teacher making sure all of her students understood the content of getting our Z endorsement. After getting my Z endorsement I started my truck course at their facility. I was introduced to Mohamed Aza as one of my instructors. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly (plus some). He was easygoing and easy to talk to almost like a brother (he is a brother). Im not sure what I would have done without him throughout the course. I would also like to thank Kris for teaching me the fundamentals on how to drive a truck on the road. I couldn’t have gotten my AZ license without his expertise. I would also like give a shoutout to the other two instructors Matt and Mohamed they were great too. Now I would like to give a very special warm thank you to Katelyn. She has been godsend she helped guide me through this whole journey of mine, she understood my situation and scheduled me accordingly to my needs (I have 5 kids). Fantastic experience: I got my DZ license from Durham Truck and forklift on second try, I could've got it on my first try but I went over the speed limit that made me failed, otherwise I did well everything was fine because the school taught me well, they helped me a lot. I came straight from Jamaica through thepassportja, they helped me to come here, THANKS to them. So the thepassportja with Durham is a legitimate business, many people came here through them and they helped them with everything, therefore I highly recommend you guys, you will not regret. Fantastic experience: My husband went to Durham Truck School for his DZ license and we are so pleased by the service. Not expensive, fast learning so they can fast track you to your license faster. My hubby passed his road test on his first try because they gave him the confidence and knowledge to do it right. Matt was friendly and he was a down to earth guy. Fantastic experience: After attending Durham truck driving school, I got my air break certification, thanks to Francis, the secretaries are very knowledgeable, the instructors are great, Kaitlyn was great, and Matt was great as well. I passed my D road test on the first try, I highly recommend going here. They will give you the confidence to pass on your first try as well.
