Fantastic experience: I was referred by a family friend to enroll my brother for lessons. Met the instructor Bobbie, she was incredibly friendly and genuine after the first meet. My brother was very optimistic about his progress but more importantly he seemed at ease and open after each lesson. She was very encouraging even with his mistakes (most likely repeated haha) which usually gets him anxious. He ended up passing his G2 on the first try which I’m so grateful for. Finding the right instructor is hard nowadays so I hope this helps anyone (younger or older) feel confident that Bobbie will be the difference maker in your driving/learning experience. Cheers

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend North York Driving School.Mr John is my instructor and he show and tech me how to follow the rules of the road.I follow every instructions and apply on the final drive test and indeed I pass the full G license. Its easy to fail but its easier to pass if you do what they are mentoring you.

Fantastic experience: Passed my G2 with Mo Sid as my instructor. He helped me learn all the maneuvers and methods in a way that were easy to grasp and apply while driving.

Negative experience: I just came across the student and teacher in their Honda while driving on my motorcycle. The student driver did a sudden swerve towards me in my lane just to avoid a bump. I pointed out to both of them that this action startles other drivers, especially motorcyclists, who will then react to whatever might be coming their way. The student, I think, understood the message but the instructor instead ranted about how they stayed in their lane (barely) and dismissed me and berated me. Swerving suddenly around a manhole cover to the expense of other drivers comfort about being near a driving school was the wrong approach. I hope others see this review and understand the issue even if this school doesn't. I may send this information to the MTO driving school oversight body. There might be others who have seen this driving school instructors road rage.

Fantastic experience: I already had 6-7 years of driving experience. However I was not very used to the Canadian roads as well as being a bit rusty. The program they offer here really helped me gain my footing back and relearn all the steps flawlessly. So this school and their private instructor John really helped me getting acklimated back into good driving habits and help me pass my highway road test, which I was most nervous of! He thoroughly helps you identify which mistakes you are making the most, and explain why it is bad, and what you can confidently do next time. It was a nice driving experience and Ill soon consider their 30hr online program

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor, Cherry was very kind and patient with me. This was my first time learning to drive, and even though it took me a while to get a hang of the basics, she carefully told me exactly what steps to take. On top of that she was very punctual when arriving at my house for lessons and when answering text messages. I could not have picked a better place.

Fantastic experience: Today, I completed my G2 road test on the first try, because of how well Cherry (my instructor) prepared me. Prior to beginning my driving lessons, I’d heard horror stories of my relatives and their driving lessons from other driving schools, so I was a bit scared. However, the moment I stepped into the car with Cherry on my first lesson, I immediately felt comfortable, and was able to drive safely and happily. I’m more on the shy side when it comes to meeting new people, but she was welcoming and answered all the questions I had, making me feel comfy and happy in all the lessons. I can’t recall a moment where Cherry got upset or lost her patience with me, even though I made plenty of mistakes. She has a way of telling people what they should improve on, and how to properly navigate situations, without panicking or getting upset. Due to this, I looked forward to learning more as the classes progressed. I’m also a full time college student so having her be so flexible with scheduling really helped me a lot. I walked into the driving test feeling prepared, and left with a smile and a pass result. Cherry really takes the time to go into detail about what the examiners would be looking for, and more importantly, how to drive safe for everyday life. She is also very patient in teaching me the fundamentals and would listen my concerns and questions. I'd like to thank my driving instructor, Nieves, for teaching me the proper ways to manoeuvre safely on the road and with confidence. Nieves was always professional and taught with clarity throughout all the lessons which I enjoyed and was satisfied with the knowledge I have learned by her.

Fantastic experience: I recently passed the G2 road test. Nieves, my instructor, is patient, supportive and takes the time to explain each procedure. I was able to acquire the skills and confidence needed to navigate the roads safely. She is also flexible with scheduling for the in-car lessons. The online classes are easy to follow, and you can complete them at your own pace. I will be continuing to take lessons with Nieves to prepare myself for the full G road test.

Positive experience: When I picked North York Driving School, I was all excited because of their 'highly trained instructors that work with students' abilities and needs.' But my time with instructor Cherry was a real downer. Cherry's teaching style wasn't individualized, and she straight-up told me after the first lesson that maybe I should try a different instructor. I thought, 'Let's give it another shot.' Bad idea. The next lessons just confirmed my doubts. Cherry had a bad habit of showing up late, and she even canceled two out of five lessons. To make matters worse, when she was late, she didn't extend the lesson to make up for it. So I felt like I was getting short-changed. What's worse, Cherry wouldn't explain things when I asked, and she could be pretty rude. On the fourth lesson, she flat-out refused to teach me. I was fuming. But then, Director John came to the rescue. He hooked me up with Elsa, and she's the real deal. Elsa's been teaching driving forever and she knows her stuff. She's always on time, answers all your questions, and works hard on your weak points. Thanks to her, I nailed my G2 road test. So, to sum it up, Cherry's lessons were a letdown, but thanks to Director John's help and Elsa's awesome teaching, I finally got on the right track and passed my road test. If you're thinking about choosing a driving school, go straight to Elsa. She's the best instructor ever.
