Expérience fantastique: Récemment, j'ai suivi le cours dédié aux motocyclistes et l'expérience a été géniale ! Adam et son équipe à Langley ont fait un excellent travail en introduisant les choses lentement de manière gérable. Je me sens beaucoup plus confiant dans mes compétences de conduite et je me suis beaucoup amusé dans le processus. Si vous choisissez de suivre un cours, ne cherchez pas plus loin, vous ne serez pas déçu !

Expérience fantastique: Adam et son équipe sont des instructeurs extrêmement compétents et expérimentés. En tant que débutant complet en équitation, après avoir suivi le cours MST avec Adam, je suis parti pleinement capable de rouler seul pendant de longues périodes. Adam est extrêmement honnête et serviable. Il m'a aidé à réussir mon test de conduite du premier coup avec une feuille propre. Je recommande vivement à quiconque essayant d'obtenir un permis de moto.

Les instructeurs sont fantastiques, en particulier Adam, qui était incroyablement patient et attentif. Le style d'enseignement d'Adam est clair et il s'assure que chaque élève se sente en confiance avant de passer à des compétences plus avancées. Ils ont tous rendu l'apprentissage amusant tout en mettant l'accent sur la sécurité, ce qui était une priorité tout au long du cours. Expérience fantastique: Meilleur endroit pour obtenir un permis de conduire de moto. J'ai réussi l'examen sur la route dès ma première tentative. J'ai seulement eu une balade sur la route avec Adam. Adam est un excellent instructeur. Il sait ce qu'il fait en tant que formateur professionnel. J'ai eu une très mauvaise expérience avec la valley driving school. C'était un gaspillage de mon argent. Plus de 20 élèves dans la classe et un comportement impoli. Je recommande vivement 1st gear pour le permis de moto. Merci à l'équipe de 1st gear.

Expérience fantastique: Je viens de terminer le cours de formation Dedicated Rider le week-end dernier (juin 2024) et j'étais très satisfait et impressionné par chacune de mes expériences. Le processus d'inscription était simple et direct. J'ai choisi une date 2 mois après le moment de l'inscription pour m'assurer d'avoir suffisamment de temps pour compléter la partie en ligne de la formation avant la semaine de la formation en classe (1x session de 3 heures). J'ai répété quelques sections pour être sûr d'absorber et de retenir le plus d'informations possible. Cela aurait facilement pu être fait en une journée ou deux sans trop d'effort, mais les responsabilités au travail et à la maison m'ont rendu nerveux à l'idée de ne pas avoir la chance de terminer à temps. Il s'avère que j'aurais eu largement le temps, et il est en fait préférable d'être plus proche du cours pour la rétention. J'ai eu l'occasion d'envoyer des questions par e-mail, et ils ont toujours été très rapides à répondre avec des réponses complètes à mes préoccupations. L'apprentissage en classe était similaire à l'apprentissage en ligne et semblait être une extension naturelle et une étape suivante de la partie autodidacte. Entrer dans le cours avec les autres étudiants ressemblait à entrer dans une communauté amicale d'étudiants partageant les mêmes idées et désireux d'apprendre. Je ne peux pas vraiment donner tout le crédit à 1st Gear pour cela, mais ils ont certainement soutenu l'idée de la conduite comme une activité sociale. Le matériel était à jour et pertinent, des conseils de sécurité et d'utilisation aux points à surveiller lors de l'achat d'une nouvelle ou d'une moto d'occasion, endroits pour obtenir de bons prix sur de bons équipements, et plus encore. Les 2 jours passés sur le terrain de formation (j'ai assisté à Richmond sur Viking Road juste à l'est de Jacombs off Cambie) étaient à un rythme régulier, passant des concepts de sécurité de conduite très basiques à tous les exercices nécessaires qui développent les compétences pour réussir votre test MST/MSA (Motorcycle Skills Test/Assessment) requis par l'ICBC. Ils ont une bonne variété de motos de petite cylindrée disponibles pour apprendre. Avec 10 personnes dans ma classe (environ la moyenne selon l'un de nos instructeurs, Lee RideFar), il y avait des personnes d'âges allant de 19 à 59 ans avec des niveaux d'expérience variés, y compris au moins 4 sans expérience de conduite, ni même de conduite d'une voiture avec transmission manuelle. Ils doivent faire quelque chose de bien, car bien que chacun ait certainement appris à son propre rythme, chaque personne a appris suffisamment pour réussir le test à la fin du week-end. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir Lee, Mel et Noah comme instructeurs, qui partageaient tous un amour clair de la conduite et étaient formidables pour fournir des informations claires, simples et pertinentes ainsi que des réponses aux questions de chacun. Je recommanderais vivement 1st Gear à quiconque cherchant à apprendre à conduire, à améliorer ses compétences, à obtenir le permis qu'il aurait dû obtenir depuis longtemps, ou simplement à apprendre à être un meilleur conducteur, plus sûr.

Expérience fantastique: J'ai récemment terminé le cours de sécurité pour motards à Langley et j'ai eu une expérience incroyable. Les instructeurs, Adam et Kiefer, étaient très compétents, soutenants et de formidables enseignants dans l'ensemble. Les cours valaient vraiment l'investissement, même en tant que personne ayant de l'expérience en motocross. Je me sens maintenant prêt à pratiquer mes compétences sur la route en toute sécurité et à me préparer pour mon examen de conduite pour le permis complet. Je recommande vivement si vous souhaitez vous lancer dans le monde de la moto.

Les instructeurs étaient tellement utiles (et précis) lors de l'apprentissage des manœuvres techniques à basse vitesse ainsi que pour passer en 3ème vitesse. Je n'ai absolument aucune plainte à formuler sur quiconque dans ce cours, je recommande vivement à d'autres nouveaux pilotes et j'espère vous revoir bientôt !

Expérience fantastique: Assister à une formation de moto chez 1st Gear a été une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin. Je n'avais pas conduit depuis 25 ans, j'ai pris un cours de deux heures de "rafraîchissement" avec mon instructeur Superstar Ted qui était non seulement compétent mais aussi incroyablement passionné par la conduite, ce qui a rendu le processus d'apprentissage captivant et agréable. La sécurité a toujours été une priorité absolue, avec des instructions détaillées sur l'équipement approprié, les stratégies de conduite défensive et les procédures d'urgence. L'un des points forts de la formation a été l'accent mis sur la camaraderie et la communauté. Je ne peux pas recommander suffisamment la formation de moto chez 1st Gear. Que vous soyez un conducteur novice cherchant à établir une base solide ou un conducteur expérimenté cherchant à perfectionner vos compétences, cette formation dépassera vos attentes.

Expérience fantastique: J'ai suivi ma formation de moto avec First Gear ! J'ai adoré ! Adam était mon instructeur et a réussi à m'apprendre à conduire en 3 jours, alors que je n'étais jamais monté sur une moto. Ils ont même des sorties sur route et des motos de location pour se préparer à l'évaluation routière. Je recommanderais sans hésitation cette école à tous mes amis.

Learing to ride is one thing, but riding responsibly and being safe on the road is whole another chapter that these guys will prepare you for. Expérience fantastique: Our class was taught by Keefer and Ted. Two of the most outstanding and humorous instructors I have ever come across. They were very direct and assertive with every single instruction enabling us students to better grasp the foundations of motorcycling. I couldn’t have asked for a better set of instructors. I highly recommend everyone take up this course if they are looking to dip their toes in the world of motorcycling. Keefer and Ted were all about safety and (REAL LIFE) scenarios, something that is looked pass if you are just taking the ICBC skills test. Expérience fantastique: Adam and Kieffer will teach you how to ride in the short amount of time they have with you as long as you are willing to actively listen and apply. Trust that they are telling you what's best for your safety, and forget everything that you think you know. I appreciated the direct and honest feedback while taking the course. Don't be shocked if you get yelled at for making the same mistakes over and over. Those same mistakes out on the road could be fatal. But, also expect acknowledgement for doing things correctly. Expérience fantastique: My wife and I just completed their course. Their staff are highly experienced and get you the skills you need to pass your MST. They cover some crash avoidance techniques not required to get your MST, and provide ongoing services to their students to make sure you enjoy a safe motorcycling experience. We haven't booked any road rides with them yet, but the basic corse includes 2, and their dedicated rider program includes 4. I am looking forward to building my skills to pass the road test, and maybe beyond with them. This is a great choice for motorcycle training, highly recommended.

I walked into this course never riding a motorcycle before, nor have I driven a standard so I didn’t have a basic understanding of clutches and gears, so I was as green as they come. 3 days later I was riding a grom and passed my MST on the first go. They all made sure that you understood the techniques and demonstrated the skill before moving onto the next step. I had a blast. Although Adam can come across a bit gruff from time to time but his knowledge base is phenomenal . Expérience fantastique: as a new rider, i would highly recommend Adam and his crew/family at 1st gear, not only will you get a thorough understanding of safety but also have the opportunity to fully familiarize yourself with the motorcycle, controls and movement, which is perfect for new and returning riders, at first i was skeptical of moto schools and thought i could just wing the mst and go but after taking this course, i fully believe that if i didnt take the course id probably die within the first 2 years. 100% this course is probably the best you can take in BC if you are newish to riding and want to keep riding for years to come. (p.s. just passed the mst in the rain 1 hour ago :D) thank you again Adam!

The instructors take full responsibility in making sure you develop the skills necessary to ride safely. I had zero experience on the controls of motorcycles before starting and in 1 weekend I am confident enough to say I understand what it takes to ride a motorcycle. Adam, Cat and Ted are the perfect balance of tough love and encouragement in order to gain a humble confidence that you will need on the road when the time comes.

Once you have the basic principles down they go above and beyond with the skills they teach such as counter-steering through and around cones to simulate avoiding dangers on the road, emergency breaking situations, how to emergency break In corners, u-turns and much more. They teach to your experience level and challenge every student to be a better rider when they leave, whether you’ve never been on a bike or you have years of experience.

I came out of this course with skills and habits that will help me grow and a tremendous amount of confidence. Great job Adam, Kath and Raymond!

Expérience fantastique: I took the new riders course last weekend and being the only girl in the class who's also 4'11 surrounded by big men, I was intimidated to say the least. Small talks with Adam really helped, made me feel more comfortable and took away from the nerves. Whenever I struggled with something, both Adam and Ray took their time to explain to me what I was doing wrong and what I can do to improve. They also let me know what I'm doing well. The first day on the lot, I fell behind on one of the first activities but Ray caught me up. Both Adam and Ray were super patient, not once did they ever get angry or upset when I dropped their bike. The U-turns were the hardest, I couldn't do it at all on the 1st day, but on the 2nd day on the lot, I managed to get it down, same with not stalling the bike. Again, both Adam and Ray really took the time to help with best practices on how to complete a proper U-Turn. I was honestly super worried about the MSA, I thought I was going to fail. When I asked Adam how soon can I retake the MSA if I failed, he told me that I would be fine and I ended up passing the MSA on my first try!! I would definitely recommend 1st Gear for any future riders

Expérience fantastique: Finished the course today and it is the best decision taking it here in 1st Gear. Amazing and extremely talented teachers that cares for you. ADAM ("Looking down and seeing what's in your odometer when stopped is like your IQ lol"), RAYMOND ("Look where you're going, the pavement isn't your destination"), TED ("Commit, Commit, Commit!") and KATHY ("Awsome Cheerleader!") they are the best! THE BEST! They're strict but informative, serious but fun. Not only do they teach you how to ride but they will engrave safety in your brain which is vital for riding. They will push you to be better but they won't rush you. They will make  sure everyone is on the same page and make sure you're not falling behind. They will point out what you're not doing correctly and what you're lacking on and they will guide you thoroughly to be a better rider. All the praise and thank you so much to the Langley Team. Enrolling to the course is an amazing investment, no doubt! Will definitely spread the word about 1st Gear and recommend to family, friends and people interested in riding. *Prepare and take some Tylenol every after lot training :D

Expérience fantastique: Took the new riders course with Adam as my instructor and Jason as an assistant. Both were very helpful and informational. Adam was strict and would raise his voice but only because he wanted to place emphasis on what it means to be a SAFE rider for people who are new to motorcycles. The best thing I gained from this course wasn't just the MST pass but also the ideas on how to be safe on the road and protect myself from external dangers. Every time Adam saw me do something that could lead to potential injury or death he always pulled me aside and told me those maneuvers can easily get me hurt. Now with my MST passed, I can stay safe, have fun, and enjoy the rides! Adam is a very ethical teacher and truly cares for his students' well being. Thank you Adam, Jason and all other helping staff!
