There were a couple small essential details that Ben was able to point out and that helped me to perform better in the exam. Although I only had one lesson with the instructor, I can say that he cares about student's performance and assists students to develop a good and respectful driving habit.

My husband has been driving in other counties for 20+ years, and recently moved to Canada. The coach was able to explain to my husband about all the key points and what he needed to work on while driving. Coach was able to deliver guidance in a clear and polite manner. He made constructive feedbacks to my husband, and recommended a second class a week before the road test, so we booked another class. My husband enjoyed the coaching and was able to pass the road test smoothly. Expérience fantastique: I had three instructors before, one was never on time, he would delay picking me up by half an hour to an hour every time. This temporary delay would disrupt my plans, so I changed that coach. The second instructor who drove a Tesla, who was very professional, but I was really not used to the driving feel of Tesla, and that driving school could only use Tesla only for teaching. Finally, after reading many positive reviews through Google Search, I decided to learn driving at Smart Choice Driving School.(the cost was the lowest. ) I quickly contacted the instructor Ben through What's Up. He was busy at the time, but he quickly replied to my message. He can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He is a super gentle and friendly handsome instructor. After a few minutes of voice call, he learned about my situation and decided to practice driving at 8:30 am on December 30. Ben is the most professional coach I have ever met. The first time I practiced driving, he came downstairs to pick me up on time, he also showed me his professional driving instruction license, and gave me enough time to adjust the seat and the mirror. Some places were obviously not adjusted properly, so he explained to me how to adjust them and what is the best position to adjust them to. Once the mirror is adjusted to the wrong position, it will affect the driving state. Either you can't see the situation of the vehicle behind you, or you can't see the curb when parallel parking. It is recommended that you drive after you are fully prepared. Ben actually has a driving textbook provided by ICBC. When I driving for about 15 minutes, he wrote down my mistakes, and then went over them with me one by one while the car was parked safely. It made me clear where my problems were, and the careful explanation helped me reduce a lot of doubts. I think this method is very effective, because I not only listen to his explanation, but also strengthen my memory by looking at the pictures in the textbook. When I consciously know my problems, I will naturally pay more attention to them in the subsequent practice process, which is great. Sometimes, if you just listen to the coach talking to you, you may forget them if you don't pay attention. In addition, the test process is inevitably a bit nervous, so adequate preparation will be more effective. The dense notes on his textbook, plus the detailed explanations, are enough to prove his professionalism. The second time I met Ben was on the day of the road test. Again, he picked me up downstairs on time. We did not waste much time on the entire road test content during the 30-minute pre-road test practice. We just practiced in a targeted manner within a limited time. My parallel parking skill was not very good, so we went straight to the point and practiced side parking three times. In addition, when turning, shoulder check, turn right close to the curb, and turn left a little wider. In short, practice where it is easy to make mistakes. By the way, his car is 2024 Toyota Corolla, the interior is very clean, make me feel comfortable and the car handling feels great! During the entire test, I tried my best to keep myself relaxed. Here, I also want to share some experiences. Only when you drive confidently, you will not make the examiner feel nervous throughout the process. When you convey this sense of confidence and calmness to the examiner, even if you really make some small mistakes, it will not affect the test results. So during the test, don't think about what you just did wrong, but concentrate on driving. To avoid mistakes, we need to consciously correct those problems that should not occur during the practice. The test is a short time, and driving is a lifelong thing. Having a stable and skilled driving skill is a safety guarantee for others and ourselves and our families. Finally, today is January 2.
