Expérience négative: Do not book they will make you sign a contract and then won’t be able to book in car for months following the in class The lady who answers the phone does not speak English and is very rude. Beware book at sturgeon or ama we have used northern lights for our other children and they were great they must have sold cause this is ridiculous. They tell you take the in class and we will book in car when your done then tell you it will be months unless you can do mid day during the week.

Expérience fantastique: northern lights is an excellent choice for plenty of options. They’re efficient, very friendly, affordable, and have plenty of flexibility for driving lessons. I had Aubrey as my driving instructor and had 7 lessons. He is genuinely the sweetest man ever and was very patient, calm, has very good feedback, and has such a warm and welcoming presence. He taught me how to drive literally. I had absolutely no experience and he made me so confident in myself and my ability to drive and made myself, and others feel safe on the road. Overall, I’m very very happy with my experience at northern lights and there driving lessons. I would 100% recommend. I’m getting my drivers license next week and I more than confident that I will pass and do wonderful due to my amazing driving instructor and my in class driving teacher.

Expérience négative: I would not recommend northern lights at all because I booked my son’s in car lessons in beginning of May. Then later on, I realized they do not lend a car for the road test so when I called in to cancel my appointments with Northern lights, the reception told me that within a week. I will get my check for a refund. So I waited about two weeks and I didn’t get nothing in the mail and I didn’t hear anything. So I ended up calling the office trying to figure out what’s going on with my check so she gave me the name of Richard and Joe to call so I ended up calling Richard no answer. I called Joe. He answers and I told him what happened then he tells me” yes you need to call Richard and tell him to give me my money back. He’s not paying me so call him and tell him to pay me.” I felt like this was a game between two owners and I’m stuck in the middle of it. Then another two weeks passed by so I go to the office this time and try to get my refund back just like how they took it so easily form my account, but the reception tells me that we are waiting on Joe to sign some papers. We can give you your money back. Then I left the office and I tried calling Richard again still no answer. So I left a message. I was really getting fed up with both of them. All I wanted was to get my money back and I feel so bad for the receptionist that have to deal with this. Richard and Joe are the worst owners!!. Then finally after almost 2months of this nonsense, I get a phone call saying I can get my money back now but there is going to be a $50 cancellation fee on top of all I’ve gone through, which I don’t understand why there’s a cancellation fee because I cancelled long time ago. I did not do it last minute. I totally would recommend Sturgeon. They lend you a car it’s complementary and also Kim the instructor is the best. My son absolutely loved her!!

Expérience négative: Horrible business practices. Terrible driving experience for my daughter. Do not recommend. The ladies at the office did their best to do right but the owner did not. Stay away!

Expérience fantastique: When initially contacting Northern Lights, they quickly responded to emails and phone calls. This is my first child going through lessons and I had a lot of questions. The office staff was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. My son had the opportunity to learn his in-car lessons with Aubrey. He was so patient, kind and provided feedback consistently in a way that didn’t make my child feel bad. He was very encouraging and understanding of my child’s anxieties with driving. Thank you Northern Lights for the excellent experience. We will be back with our other child and will recommend you to anyone looking.

Expérience fantastique: Not only were they able to rearrange their schedules to match mine. Linda the instructor was amazingly patient and knowledgeable, my daughter learned a lot from her she passed the first try!

Expérience fantastique: The best driving school in town and Sturgeon county. All instructors are highly qualified, friendly, experienced and extremely professional! The office staff is very accommodating with the students' schedules. Students get the best knowledge in driving and a very good chance of passing the road test on the 1st try!

Expérience fantastique: I took driver training with basic driving knowledge about a month or two before my test. I had Aubrey as an instructor, and he was a very kind man. I’ve heard the same from many of my friends who also had the pleasure of having him as an instructor. Even though I knew how to drive, he taught me little things that severely improved my road knowledge and helped me pass my test. I passed my test first try as he’d known I would and I believe I have him to thank. I took the rest of the course online which was quite straightforward and easy to do. I recommend Northern Lights for anyone looking to improve their driving skills.

Expérience négative: Absolute gong show. Classroom was fine. Our instructor cancelled three times at the last minute. He was incredibly rude to both my son and I. I believe his name is Paul. Thank goodness this is my last kid learning to drive. I would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy.

I passed my class 5GDL on the first try, and throughout the lessons I definitely improved as a driver. Aubrey was very calm with me and I really enjoyed my time in the car!

Expérience fantastique: Put my oldest through drivers training. Was totally worth the time and money. Was professional and helped with his driving skills.

Expérience positive: The in person training as well as the on-the-road training was very acceptional. Dennis the driving intructor was very calm and patient, and relayed alot of information in the 10 hour in car period. In the class room, Richard was also very layed, collective and clam. Would highly reccomend this program to new budding drivers. As they taught my son in a very professional yet casual manner. One point of intrest would be to fix/update the age of the driving training cars, because the steering and accerleration can be very difficult to handle at times (hence, why 4 out of 5 stars). The teaching style was acceptional and made my son feel wanted, and motivated to be there.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing experience I learned so many different things i didn't know existed while driving. Paul my driving instructor was a amazing and helpful person If you have a chance I highly recommend him he was very engaging and helpful.only thing i would complain about is a few of the cars I used had a hard brake pedal and a broken mirror adjuster wouldn't hurt to have some maintenance done. overall was a great experience and highly recommend.

My in car teacher Paul is an exceptional teacher, he knows his stuff and does everything he can to give experience needed. He goes above and beyond to help students get everything they need to be prepared. Great teacher and great guy.

Expérience fantastique: Had to fit in my drivers training in 2 weeks and they were all super accommodating towards coming up with a schedule that worked for me, Linda as my driving instructor was great and made me feel confident behind the wheel, she’s very patient and knows her stuff. Gave great tips and would recommend her to everyone. I had little driving experience and got my lisence the day after I finished my drivers training! Great driving school !

Expérience fantastique: This driving program was well worth the money. The online classroom course was professional and my daughter felt she learned so much that mom and dad could not teach her. She was confident going for her license. An excellent program and great driving experience. Worked with my daughter's busy schedule.

Expérience positive: Our son learned a lot from this school. He was always telling us what we were doing wrong.... The instructor was nice and pleasant. Gave 4 stars because instructor missed one of the driving appt's and didn't bother to respond to our texts while we were waiting for him to show. And tried calling a few times..no answer sometimes but did get our calls returned. Overall , a good experience.

Expérience négative: So I took a coarse here about 10 years ago. Trying to get a hold of these people for a very simple request. I tried calling several times a day. No answer every time I called. To any one who is going to take lessons here please ENSURE you do NOT lose ANY of you paperwork.
