Expérience fantastique: Le programme éducatif en ligne/auto-rythmé des Young Drivers était un excellent cours et beaucoup a dépendu de mon instructeur de conduite, Ken Kelleher, qui était un instructeur excellent, super motivé et bien informé. Immédiatement après les cours de Ken, j'ai réussi mes examens G2 avec des compliments. Depuis, je conduis à Ottawa depuis presque un an, et je sens que les connaissances et les conseils utiles que j'ai acquis grâce au cours et à l'instruction de Ken me garderont en sécurité (et les autres) sur les routes.

Expérience fantastique: Barry était un instructeur merveilleux, informatif et très compétent. Il a pu expliquer et enseigner très clairement tout au long des 5 leçons. Cela a été particulièrement utile en tant que nouveau conducteur nerveux, pour maintenir un environnement calme et commencer en toute sécurité à naviguer sur des routes et autoroutes à grande vitesse. Maintenant, conduire et passer des tests de conduite est beaucoup moins intimidant. Merci !!

Expérience fantastique: En tant qu'étudiant qui a réussi l'examen de conduite G2 du premier coup, je tiens à remercier chaleureusement mon instructeur, John Glasgow, pour m'avoir aidé à réussir le G2. Il est humble, direct et utilise des moyens mnémotechniques (c'est-à-dire 'Miroir, miroir, angle mort, regarder devant' pour changer de voie) pour rendre l'apprentissage de toute manœuvre à basse vitesse plus facile à retenir. Il est calme et garde son sang-froid ; même si je faisais des erreurs involontaires, non fatales, au moins il me corrige et me conseille sans crier subitement, afin que je ne me sente pas mal et sache comment m'améliorer confortablement pour la prochaine fois. Je voudrais également remercier Barry Caplan de m'avoir guidé sur les bases, et Ken Kelleher de m'avoir donné une première expérience de conduite sur l'autoroute et de manœuvres d'évitement. Ken est viril, motivateur, et veut que ses élèves se comportent en hommes, mais parfois il peut être sévère et inconfortable à suivre. Par exemple, Ken et moi avons pratiqué un freinage d'urgence (deux fois). Il m'a averti qu'il utiliserait un ton de voix fort et agressif pour crier 'MIROIR ! ARRÊTEZ !', donc j'étais préparé à écouter et à supporter. Pour ma première tentative, j'ai utilisé presque toute ma force pour freiner, il m'a crié 'BÉBÉ. Tu dois freiner plus fort.', ce qui pour ma seconde tentative, pour impressionner Ken j'ai appris à freiner avec toute ma force. Bien que maintenant je sache à quoi cela ressemble vraiment de freiner d'urgence, le fait qu'il crie 'BÉBÉ' sur moi était insultant et inutile.

Expérience négative: La partie en classe était correcte, mais la partie pratique sur la route prend plusieurs mois une fois le cours terminé. De plus, souvent en décembre, pendant les vacances, ma fille avait des séances de pratique prévues et elles étaient annulées à la dernière minute, ce qui a entraîné de nouveaux retards dans l'achèvement de ses heures. Je suis déçu de la façon dont le programme est géré aujourd'hui.

Expérience fantastique: Super endroit, activités amusantes, beaucoup de bons conseils de la part des instructeurs. J'ai beaucoup appris et n'ai eu aucun problème avec le test final.

Expérience fantastique: As a person who struggles with driving anxiety, I can honestly say that Young Drivers made a huge difference in helping me. My instructor, Ken Kelleher, was absolutely great. He knew exactly how to help me - encouraged and motivated me when I needed it most. When I made a mistake, he didn’t make me feel like an incompetent driver. He would remind me that the importance of mistakes is learning from them, and this will make me a better driver down the road. To put the YD approach into perspective - when I first got my G1, I told my parents that it would be years until I felt comfortable driving by myself or leisurely. Now, with my G2, I can proudly say that I enjoy driving around the city - I’ve even driven to the mall and movie theatre with friends… multiple times! All in all, I could not recommend Young Drivers, and especially Ken Kelleher, enough.

Notably and especially the help of Meagan Lowry who was able to help us navigate driving schedules given how busy everyone is these days. Patient and professional I feel like Meagan goes above and beyond to ensure that young drivers clients are satisfied.

Expérience fantastique: When it comes to driver training, get the best and that is Young Drivers of Canada. The money you spend will be made back with reduced insurance premiuims and peace of mind. Specifically, Meagan does a great job with scheduling and somebody is there to answer the phone and e-mails. The online interface is great too in seeing the progress of your student.

Expérience fantastique: Hello everyone, our daughter recently completed her YD course and I must say it was a very positive experience. She started YD with Tery Howard as her instructor, and Tery made her feel very comfortable while she learned how to drive. Tery helped her feel safe and confident (and has a great sense of humour) which seemed to make a big difference for her. When it came time to book a road test Meagan Lowry was very helpful/responsive and determined in scheduling the earliest possible appointment for us. Thanks Meagan and Tery!

Expérience fantastique: I had the absolute best experience while scheduling my in car lessons with YD. My admin was Meagan Lowry. I had to request many changes to my schedule due to some special accommodations. Meagan was very understand and went out of her to adjust all of my requests and give me a flexible schedule in line with my day job and other restrictions. I'm looking forward to my classes in summer. I should mention I'm not a "young driver" and I signed up for the non-yd lessons. They are very flexible and mindful of your timelines.

Expérience positive: I reviewed Young Drivers recently and found the owner very responsive and supportive when I had concerns. I appreciate businesses that are concerned about their standards and reputation. Having used YD myself I am hoping my kids also have the same quality education. They are ensuring the experience is a good one.

Expérience négative: I appreciate the time this company has taken to explain how the model has shifted to virtual classrooms for the last 2 years- I simply ask that you be transparent to the customer that Ottawa locations are closed and that meeting with a live person for issue resolution is not possible at this time. I am saddened that so many systems have broken down in this country.

Expérience positive: Sometimes misunderstandings happen....they fixed it that quickly. Very much appreciated

Expérience négative: Teacher kept failing me back when I did the test on flimsy premises (saying I didn't have time to make a turn when the other car was far, far back) and just generally being mean and dickish. I remember him telling my parents that he thought I was on drugs (I wasn't). For what it's worth, I passed the driving test at my next school first try, passed my G2 first try, and passed my G first try. To this day I can parallel park perfectly and have never gotten in an accident with another vehicle. This was a money grab back then - maybe it's gotten better but I would never send my kids there.

Expérience positive: Car lessons were good, my instructor Cody was very patient.

Expérience fantastique: My son was accommodated with his schedule and physical disabilities at all times. The Instructor had a hand control car which i had had difficulty finding elsewhere. The instructor and staff were top notch. The individual instruction provided is invaluable. I would highly recommend for others who not only are beginning to drive but who may also just may need a refresher.

Expérience positive: The program is very well put together, staff are friendly and Driver’s are fantastic! Only downfall is the class space, its a little cramped and cold in the winter.

He was awesome and made me feel super comfortable in the car and on the road. Was very patient and made me feel confident behind the wheel. I’m done the course now and can’t wait to book my g2 test. Expérience fantastique: As a more mature new driver, I was hesitant about taking a driving course – how I would fit in surrounded by young students in the classroom and how I would be judged behind the wheel during my training (I had just learned brake from gas when I started and was still reminding myself which was which!). I had heard horror stories about what instructors could be like with older students, but my instructor (Cody Real) emphasized the benefits of learning at a later age and had the perfect balance of patience, encouragement and coaching to give me what I needed to feel confident behind the wheel. He pushed me enough to keep making progress, but not so much that I would take on too much too quickly. I highly recommend additional lessons to practice with an instructor as well - I was even picked-up at the office during lunch breaks for the extra sessions! It was also a pleasant experience in the classroom – both the students and the instructor made me feel welcome and neither made me feel like it was anything unusual for me to be there. The office staff were of great assistance figuring out the best packages and the best schedule for my needs - they were very quick to respond to any inquiry. Young Driver’s was a wonderful experience overall, and I would recommend their courses to anyone.

I was looking to get my G license after having my G2 for a few years, and Young Drivers was so helpful from the time I called to set up some lessons to the time I did my road test! I had Aaron as my instructor in Ottawa. He was such a great teacher, and really spent lots of time with me going over things that I was particularly nervous about (such as highway/freeway driving). Aaron and the rest of the team at Young Drivers were consistently patient, supportive and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks very much for all of your help!
