Expérience fantastique: Je voulais me remettre à jour sur le trafic de Vancouver après des années sans conduire. Cooper est un excellent instructeur, réfléchi et minutieux, avec une approche vraiment personnalisée. Nous avons eu quelques leçons, et j'ai réussi le test de conduite de classe 5 du premier coup. Je n'hésiterais pas un instant à y retourner pour un rafraîchissement, si jamais j'en ai besoin à nouveau.

En tant que personne ayant eu des difficultés avec une anxiété de conduite intense, je n'aurais jamais imaginé que non seulement je passerais mon examen de conduite du premier coup, mais que j'apprécierais réellement conduire. Mon expérience de conduite précédente était en Irlande avec des instructeurs qui se concentraient uniquement sur la préparation au test. Malgré de nombreuses leçons, j'ai échoué à mon test deux fois en Irlande et je me sentais très anxieuse derrière le volant. Honnêtement, j'avais l'impression que conduire était quelque chose que je ne pourrais jamais faire. Il m'a fallu beaucoup de temps pour me remettre à conduire au Canada. J'ai enfin pris le risque 4 ans plus tard et j'ai décidé de rechercher un instructeur qui comprendrait d'où je venais. Entrez Cooper ! Dès la première leçon, il m'a mise à l'aise, s'assurant que je me sentais en sécurité et à l'aise à chaque étape. Petit à petit, j'ai commencé à développer mes compétences en conduite et ma confiance et j'ai apprécié chaque leçon avec lui. Cooper se concentre sur l'enseignement de la conduite en toute sécurité et sur la compréhension de soi-même en conduisant. Il a pris le temps de connaître mon style d'apprentissage et a été tellement patient et gentil pendant que nous travaillions ensemble. Cooper a envoyé des retours après chaque leçon avec des messages vocaux et des images et diagrammes utiles pour que je puisse revoir ce que nous avions appris. J'ai commencé à apprécier la conduite et j'avais hâte de mes leçons. Je me suis sentie confiante pour la première fois, comme si toutes les pièces commençaient enfin à s'assembler. J'ai passé mon test de conduite à Vancouver et j'ai réussi du premier coup. Le test n'est qu'un obstacle sur la route, comme dit Cooper. Expérience fantastique: J'ai trouvé l'enseignement de Cooper extrêmement utile. Je suis une personne très anxieuse et j'ai retardé mon apprentissage de la conduite pendant des années à cause de cela, mais lorsque j'ai commencé à prendre des leçons avec lui, je me suis vite senti confiant et calme avec mes compétences. J'ai réussi mon examen de conduite en grande partie grâce à ses connaissances, son aide et ses corrections, et cela a considérablement atténué mon anxiété ! De plus, nous avons eu de grandes conversations et je me suis toujours senti très respecté et accueilli, ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié en tant qu'adulte apprenant à conduire. C'est un instructeur très amusant et attentif qui vous rendra certainement un meilleur conducteur et plus intelligent. Expérience fantastique: Cooper est un professeur fantastique et une personne vraiment formidable avec qui passer du temps sur votre chemin pour obtenir votre permis. Je n'avais pas conduit depuis quelques années après être arrivé à Vancouver. Même avant cela, je n'avais qu'un permis de conduite irlandais, et mon expérience provenait principalement de la conduite dans une très petite ville sans beaucoup de routes/situations difficiles. Donc, en venant à Vancouver avec de nouvelles règles de circulation et l'agitation de la conduite dans une grande ville, j'étais un peu nerveux à l'idée de conduire ici. Cooper a été tellement facile à côtoyer depuis le premier jour et il est facile de voir sa richesse d'expérience appliquée dans chaque leçon, cela aide vraiment à se sentir à l'aise derrière le volant, et j'absorbais de nouvelles choses à chaque leçon tout en solidifiant les bases. Mes compétences de conduite ont explosé sous la direction de Cooper. J'avais effectué environ 80 % des leçons officielles requises en Irlande pour mon 'N' avant que le confinement de Covid n'arrête les progrès là-bas. Je regarde maintenant en arrière et je vois qu'après même quelques leçons avec Cooper, j'étais beaucoup moins expérimenté que je ne le réalisais. L'expérience de Cooper vous élève vraiment en tant que conducteur et vous rend beaucoup plus compétent et plus sûr quand vous êtes seul sur la route. J'avais initialement regardé certaines des plus grandes écoles de conduite en déménageant à Vancouver, mais en lisant les avis sur Cooper, cela l'a vraiment fait ressortir comme la meilleure option et je n'ai aucun regret, tout ce que les autres ont dit ici est 100 % vrai, vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec lui. En tant que nouvel résident ici, je n'avais pas de possibilité de pratiquer la conduite à Vancouver en dehors de mes leçons avec Cooper. Même avec cette restriction, après seulement 14 leçons avec Cooper, j'ai pu passer mon test de classe 7 dès le premier essai. Je dois également préciser que 14 leçons étaient mon propre choix pour être 100 % confiant en moi, pour être juste envers Cooper, il suggérait de faire le test plus tôt autour de la 10e leçon (et je crois maintenant que j'aurais pu réussir plus tôt aussi), donc vous savez qu'il est honnête et ne joue pas avec votre temps/argent, il veut juste le meilleur pour ses élèves. Je ne peux pas recommander Cooper assez et j'ai déjà dit à des amis qui essaient d'obtenir leur N de le choisir. Je suis prêt à partir maintenant et à obtenir ma propre voiture et j'attends avec impatience quelques leçons de rattrapage pour me préparer au test de classe 5 dans 2 ans. Expérience fantastique: Instructeur de conduite impressionnant. Il m'a fait conduire en seulement quelques sessions. Professionnel, amical et patient. La valeur que vous obtenez pour chaque leçon est dix fois supérieure - non seulement vous recevez des instructions géniales, mais aussi une personne cool avec qui conduire. - Très informé : règles de la route, pourquoi les règles existent, recherche, et propose aussi de superbes articles sur sa page. - Il fournit un débriefing à la fin de chaque session pour passer en revue ce que vous avez appris (avec des diagrammes), puis envoie aussi un message vocal détaillé ! Ceux-ci sont excellents pour intérioriser ce que vous avez appris pendant la session. - Il repère ce sur quoi vous devez travailler et s'assure que vous comprenez pourquoi vous le faites et comment vous améliorer. - J'étais un nouveau conducteur, donc nous avons commencé dans des zones calmes pour poser des bases... au lieu d'être jeté sur de grandes routes et de ressentir du stress (comme j'avais déjà vécu dans d'autres scénarios d'enseignement). - Cela ne peut pas être super important pour tout le monde, mais la voiture sur laquelle vous apprenez est un SUV, que j'ai trouvé beaucoup plus agréable que ce que j'avais pour d'autres leçons. Je suis de petite taille, donc c'était agréable de voir la route un peu plus haut, et de me sentir généralement plus solide/confortable. J'ai réussi mon examen N du premier coup cet été, et j'ai effectué plusieurs longs voyages vers d'autres villes (dans des conditions météorologiques défavorables) depuis - les leçons et les habitudes restent avec vous et offrent une excellente base.

Expérience fantastique: Can't imagine a better driving instructor. I've taken lessons from instructors that charged less, but the value of coopers instruction is many, many multiples higher. If you want the best value for your time and money, Cooper is the instructor. After I failed my first road test, I was embarrassed. Despite many hours behind the wheel with a previous instructor, I was unprepared. I could operate the car, but that was pretty much it. I missed signs, I didn't know the difference between a box turn and a traditional, I didn't know where to exactly position myself on left turns and why, etc. I was embarrassed I thought I had a chance at passing. Driving is complicated. Cooper has been teaching people how to drive since he was a teenager. He's spoken to and worked with the people that make the rules of the road here in Vancouver. He has the knowledge, but more importantly the ability to get you to understand the complexity of driving. He'll use catchy phrases like 'purple positioning' or 'greens and reds' to name the ideas you need to know. With Cooper, I also failed my second test. But this time I was proud of myself, because I knew my driving had drastically improved. I was very close to passing (the road tester agreed). And with four additional lessons with Cooper, I passed my class 7 test today. Too many people drive around Vancouver pretending they know how to drive, and hiring Cooper is the best way to ensure you don't become one of them. He is patient, easy-going, and has a good sense of humor. We need more teachers like him. I looked forward to every lesson. Thank you Cooper!

Expérience fantastique: Cooper is a great driving instructor. Before taking lessons with Cooper, I didn't like driving and I had a lot of anxiety whenever I got behind a wheel. However, Cooper was really patient, encouraging and knowledgeable. He was able to identify what I needed to work on and communicated this to me in an easy to understand manner. After a few lessons with Cooper, I no longer felt anxious when driving and I was finally able to pass my road test.

He is awesome at: -- spotting your mistakes and working with you to teach in a way that works for you. For example, I need things to make sense logically to fully understand driving concepts. I struggled a lot with keeping the car straight and understanding which way to steer when backing up. He noticed it right away and helped me do a visual exercise where I was able to stop thinking too much and actually trust my eyes and visuals!! So helpful -- he does a debrief with you after everyone lesson and continues to adjust his teaching methods to what you need. Absolute joy to communicate with, he cares so much about you. Thanks Cooper! -- expert in traffic laws so if you've been taught to survive drive you will unlearn those, and actually becomes confident because you now know the law. It made a big difference for me. --he sends voice notes after each lesson on everything we discussed so you can keep track of everything you learned. Overall, he is so so lovely, super passionate about making YOU feel confident on the road and teaches you in a way that works for YOU. His passion for his students and making sure they become good drivers is truly awesome, and it comes through in every lesson.

Being someone who already has driving experience and is new to Canada, I found it very difficult to adopt new driving conditions here. Cooper was very patient with me, worked with me, understood my situation, and methodically made me unlearn a few bad practices I had and made me a better driver. I was able to get my class 5 license because of his teaching and guidance. Cooper always tries to have conversations with students to understand what they think and why they are thinking like that, in order to understand their perspectives. He always tries to have a discussion immediately after each lesson and provides personalized feedback on audio after class. His passion and dedication towards teaching always amazes me. Cooper is the best driving instructor one can ever have and I highly recommend him.

Thanks to his help, I was able to pass my class 5 road test in ONE attempt. :D My friend recommended him to me early last year as I was about to start relearning to drive. I had previously learned to survive driving, but not driving safely. Plus, I first learned to drive on the other side of the road, was always an anxious driver and absolutely despised driving. Now, I’m confident and feel comfortable driving. Cooper does his best to understand your background in driving and caters to it. He teaches everything at your own pace to ensure that you feel calm, cool and collected in order to drive safely. He also ensures that you know the reasonings and research for the driving and road rules. I also found that his summaries after class and follow-up notes absolutely useful. Cooper not only provides constructive criticism, but he genuinely motivates you to be a better driver. I’m so grateful for all his support and knowledge. I cannot emphasize this enough - he taught me to drive while previous instructors taught me to survive behind the wheel.

Expérience fantastique: Copper is a one in a million driving instructor. I got my learners for the first time in my mid 30s, I had zero driving experience and knew I needed an instructor. I was extremely lucky to find Cooper. He is patient, caring and supportive, he takes the time to explain the 'why' behind what he is teaching you. I had 3 lessons with other instructors and none of them came close to measuring up to Cooper in terms of teaching abilitiy and knowledge. I took my class 7 road test in Vancouver and past on my first attempt. 2 years later and was preparing for me class 5 road test and I knew exactly who to call for a refresher. With Cooper's help I passed my class 5 road test, also on my first attempt. I would highly recommend Cooper to anyone looking for a really good driving instructor.

Expérience fantastique: I wish I could give 6 stars! If you have any nerves about driving, Cooper is the instructor for you!! I came to driving a bit older than many folks who get their licences right away, and with a few traumatic experiences/ some pretty significant stress, but with a desire to master this skill. I'm only about halfway through my training sessions, but have grown LEAPS AND BOUNDS. A lot of the driving schools take the "throw you into the deep-end" approach where you are forced into highly stressful situations with very few tools. I went to another school with that approach and despite voicing my concerns they were very dismissive and I ended up getting overwhelmed, stressed, and quitting. When I started with Cooper, we were on the exact same page; he validated my concerns that driving is a complex skill and that there are real stakes involved. He is patient and encouraging and goes at your pace. I am seeing significant improvements and I actually look forward to driving each week! I can't even explain how much I've grown and how confident I have become under his tutelage. In a few months I've gone from thinking I might never drive to looking forward to being a fully-skilled driver in the near future! Cooper is the best!

Expérience fantastique: Cooper is the most professional Driver Instructor I have ever come across. He is cool and thorough about his approach. He teaches in most friendly and fun way, I learned to drive smooth and passed the road test today. He does extra efforts of leaving you an audio recording after driving session, on areas where l lacked and potential improvements that needs to be worked on. Those audio recordings are a digital record of how you have been progressing. I love his methodical and friendly approach towards confidence building. I’m really happy that I chose him as my driving teacher. He loves doing his job and I think that’s a reason why he doesn’t shy from putting extra efforts for the success of his students. Now I have my license, feel calm and confident behind the wheel, and not only that, I even enjoyed the whole process! I couldn’t even design a better driving instructor than Cooper: he is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, honest, personable, generous, and professional. While other schools usually teach in a “one size fits all” way, Cooper is able to tailor his methods to each person’s learning style, challenges, and priorities. He is an incredibly bright individual with keen insights into the psychology of driving — he helped me to understand my fears and to rethink how I was approaching the test. You will not find a more experienced instructor and I can’t imagine finding a more enjoyable and empowering one either. Although he is a skilled educator, he’s also a terrific coach who motivates you and helps you prepare mentally. What more can I say? I looked forward to our lessons. I passed my test. I learned so much. I had fun. Best decision I’ve made in years. And I’ve already been telling anyone who will listen that they should book with Cooper asap. You deserve it!

Expérience fantastique: Cooper is an extraordinary driving instructor and is a delight to talk to. I passed my road test on my first attempt. More importantly I am confident to drive having a deeper understanding of why we do things a certain way which was reflected by my examiner who said they felt safe with me driving. Knowing and Teaching are two very different things. Most instructors I have worked with "Know" how to drive so they just point out things you do wrong when driving. Cooper on the other hand, learns about your bad driving habits and teaches you how to convert them into good ones. Cooper was always on time, never rushed when the session time was over, sent audio recording on things he observed and overall showed passion towards helping you be a better driver. Overall I'm sad to not be able to drive with him anymore so would highly recommend learning to drive from him! :)

Cooper was accurate in identifying my weak points and patiently working on them. It wasn't long after I started to feel comfortable behind the wheel. Cooper's goal is to make you a safe driver, but if you think this is not going to help you pass your test, I passed my class 5 on the first attempt. After each session he sends a detailed voice message with the main takeaways. I looked forward to those every week. When Cooper first met me I was terrified and dealing with bouts of anxiety when it came to getting in the driver’s seat. Fast forward a few months and Cooper has helped me build up my confidence and skillset- I have transformed into someone who actually enjoys and looks forward to driving! Cooper is not your run of the mill driving instructor- he infuses all his lessons with guidance that is geared towards not only improving your technical driving skills, but stabilizing and strengthening your emotional and mental approach to driving. Expérience fantastique: This is my third or fourth shot at learning how to drive and I've always let my anxiety and fear get in the way. I specifically did my research and am so happy that I found Cooper's driving school. Working with Cooper has been an incredible experience so far (still learning). He is knowledgable, patient, and encouraging and knows how to check in with me to see where my energy and anxiety levels are at. He also knows how to break down his observations about my driving and seems to know me better than I know myself at times which I can highly appreciate. After my 5th or 6th lesson, it felt like I've had a breakthrough and can assess that my driving skills are not only improving but more importantly my confidence is growing and I'm getting less anxious about driving in general - which is huge for me!!! Expérience fantastique: Cooper was absolutely amazing. I had a car accident and was quite nervous about driving again. Cooper was always early or on time with a friendly face! He knew I was very nervous so we started off with less busy sections in Vancouver. He walked me through all the traffic rules. When I was not confident, he would be very patient and we would repeat the same route until I was confident enough to move on. Cooper is also very experienced instructor. Whenever I was nervous or made a mistake, Cooper was always calm and in control of the situation. I would recommend Cooper to anyone.

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend Cooper! So much so that I need a 6th star. Before working with Cooper, I found that even the thought of driving made me anxious. As a person with two learning disabilities, dyslexia and dyspraxia, I found that the standard driving instruction available in BC did not fit for how I needed to learn. They were focused too much on checking the test boxes and not the real experience of driving and communicating with the traffic around you. After getting my 'N' using these programs, my partner at the time was involved in a life changing car accident that left me afraid to drive again. Working with Cooper, I'm back on the road again. Instantly I felt seen and heard. Cooper is sure to guide me at my own pace, picks up on the way I learn specifically and tailors his instruction to match, and provides reassurance. Patience of the gods with me Some of the things I like about Cooper's practice sessions: - He explains the rules of the road, he breaks it down so fine in words I understand lol so that it makes sense in my head. - He's always in a good mood and welcomes with a smile( wish I had that attribute) so it makes the session so much better. - After each session he sends detailed Voice notes to explain strengths and weakness. - I really appreciate how he makes sure he's finish explaining or doing something even though the time is up. Like others would say okay that's your time or just rush and lesson would have to stop but NOT Cooper. For example he went over about 10 minutes today just so I could understand the intersections. - Thanks to him, I'm no longer just looking at my side of things but I'm trying to understand and predict what others are doing and will do so I can drive safer. I highly recommend him today and everyday . -

Expérience fantastique: TL;DR: Best driving instructor; suitable for all driving levels; amazing car I had zero driving experience and had a class 7 road test coming up in two months. Due to low availability at driving schools caused by the pandemic, I had to try out multiple schools in Vancouver area and Cooper was certainly the best instructor I had and who really polished my skills and pointed out the not so obvious mistakes I made overlooked by my other instructors. In that sense, I would surely recommend him for drivers of all levels. Not only his driving teaching technique is clear and effective, but he's also friendly and patient person who lets you gradually take full control of a car and enjoy driving as well, in contrast to some other instructors I had who constantly micromanaged me, made me anxious and less confident in my abilities and the whole driving experience horrible. At end of each of lesson Cooper would also send audio with a summary of what I did well and things to improve, which I really appreciate and something I wish other instructors would incorporate into their teaching too. Although his services seem pricier at first, each lesson with Cooper is much more valuable than with anyone else, so in the end you can actually save more money, since the learning curve is much steeper than with other driving schools. Lastly, his car is super comfortable and fun to drive:) Needless to say, I got my N and highly recommend Cooper to everyone!

Expérience fantastique: Cooper is THE BEST driving instructor you'll ever meet! I got my driving license by passing the very first road test I attempted, and before meeting Cooper, I thought I could never drive. I attended a few driving lessons back home with possibly the worst instructor ever. I also ended up meeting with an accident and that caused tremendous trauma towards driving. I then did some research on Reddit and based on the recommendations there I got to Cooper. He was very patient, friendly and professional with his lessons from day one and I thoroughly enjoyed each minute I spent on the road with him. He followed up with me after each class to provide feedback and was very persistent in correcting each single mistake I made and in addressing all the fears I had. He approached the classes in a very methodical way and when he said I was ready for the exam, I took a road test and passed on the first go. More than the road test, he made sure that I was going to be a safe driver when I get out there to ensure the safety of both my loved ones and the ones that I'll be sharing the road with. I highly recommend Cooper as your driving instructor :) He's also an amazing human being!

Expérience fantastique: i was very anxious to learn how to drive and put it off until i was past 30 before i decided to contact cooper on a whim. he instantly made me feel comfortable and less anxious behind the wheel in the first lesson. he is very friendly, professional, and funny which makes it super easy to relax. he points out things you need to work on or improve in a very clear manner so that i was able to work on them while practicing in between lessons. i went from being super anxious to get behind a wheel to getting my N in 6 months, passing on the first try. if you're at all anxious to drive and want a friendly instructor that makes you feel comfortable, contact cooper!

While other instructors can point out the obvious, Cooper helped me with the precise skills I needed to become a good driver. More importantly, he did so in a calm & constructive way. I reached out to Cooper with very short noticed and he managed to accommodate me in his schedule and take me on a few driving lessons and took me to my class 5 driving exam. He is very knowledgeable and friendly so that makes a great teacher. He let me drive and I did not feel like he had his foot on the break all the time (compared to another driving academy I went to before Cooper). He was the only one who had the patience, non-judgmental/respectful attitude, GENUINE care and the ability to affectively communicate where I was going wrong in my learning. To top it off, he also had the EXPERIENCE above and beyond the others. One of Cooper's superpowers is his communication and easy-to-understand instructions/descriptions. I went from not being able to drive very well to being a driver who now has the confidence to be on the road -- my driving improved dramatically once we started working together. I started with a 12 lesson package and after that, I was a different driver. I will learn from Cooper as each stage of my driving/driving tests continue. Expérience fantastique: Taking lessons with Cooper was an amazing time. As we have a mindset that it is not easy to crack the class 5 road test but I did just because of Cooper. I never saw such a positive man who always tries to show some light when I was going off track. My road test was 1 week away and I was just looking for a driving school than one of my friends recommended Cooper driving school. 3 lessons for my road test with them looks like that I become a professional driver. I always had anxiety with driving and Cooper had to bring me back to the basics and really stress to give me the foundations. He is extremely patient with explaining the whys on the traffic rules and overall reasoning of why the rules exist - something that I really struggled before. What I liked most is that he make sure that you end your lessons by going through what you improved, what you need improving and he will even go the extra mile and send you notes and voice messages - i thought this was above and beyond everyone else and it made me feel that I am really being coached in this journey. Within 10 minutes of our first driving session, through listening and observation, COOPER was able to get to the root of my issues of being overwhelmed, and then (by sketching simple visualizations) was able to better direct my focus towards exactly what was important at any moment. By breaking down maneuvers and the order of checks into logical steps, I could then start integrating them into my regular driving until it became intuitive and ingrained. Cooper is kind, understanding, incredibly patient, open to feedback and has a way of making people feel safe and heard. After my first lesson with Cooper, I knew I had a long way to go but I felt overwhelmed with a sense of hope and confidence in myself. Cooper showed me that there is value in my hyper awareness and has been working with me to build up my driving competency. Expérience fantastique: Prior to meeting COOPER, I took few lessons from another instructor from surrey, that did not help me in anyway rather made me feel like I can't drive in Vancouver at all. That guy was very rigid with his technique and only wanted me to follow that strictly. But since meeting COOPER he understood my main weakness and helped me to overcome. He is very polite and funny sometimes but never makes you feel scared as he will listen to my arguments whenever I was wrong but would also correct me regarding them.
