Expérience fantastique: Minoo was my teacher, she helped me with everything I needed for the test, my brother and I both passed out first time I only took 4 lessons!

Expérience négative: I had scheduled a driving lesson for 3 pm, and the instructor arrived 20 minutes late. We began the lesson at 3:32 pm after he spent 10 minutes searching for the location. At that point, before the lesson started, the instructor asked for my information. I provided him with the expired interim driver's license that I had, but surprisingly, he didn't ask for my valid driver's license card, which I also had with me. When the instructor saw the expired interim license, he didn't inquire further or request the valid license. Instead, he immediately stated that he couldn't proceed with the lesson and mentioned that he would drive back to Vancouver, which would take approximately 20 minutes. Initially, he insisted on charging me the full lesson fee of $65, reasoning that he had already made the trip. Understanding that the standard lesson fee is $65 per hour and considering that the instructor had to travel back for 20 minutes, I explained that it would be fair for me to pay only half of the fee since I hadn't received any instructions yet. After my explanation and attempt to reach a fair agreement, the instructor agreed to charge only $30 as a time waste fee, as that was the amount I had available to pay. Unfortunately, despite paying the reduced fee, I didn't receive any lesson, only the 10 minutes spent searching for a suitable practice spot. Feeling unsatisfied with the situation, I contacted ICBC to clarify the requirements regarding driver's licenses. They confirmed that I could still have driving lessons using the valid driver's license card I possessed. Realizing that the instructor had overlooked checking the card, I reached out to him, expressing my disappointment and requesting a refund for the overcharged amount. In response, the instructor replied by saying, "It's not my responsibility to ensure you show me the valid driver's license card. You wasted my time." This further demonstrated his lack of understanding and knowledge regarding the driver's license requirements, which is essential for an instructor. Given the circumstances, I reiterated my request for a refund or try to have another lesson that if the instructor could demonstrate better understanding and knowledge of the driver's license requirements in the future, I would be open to continuing with his instruction. just have the 30 dollars off next time, then it’s okey with no refund. However, the instructor ceased responding to my messages after this exchange, leaving the matter unresolved. In the end I feel I been looked down upon cause he think I’m a young woman.
