Expérience fantastique: Une excellente expérience d'apprentissage. J'ai terminé le cours DZ Fast track et Crossroads a tout fait pour garantir la réussite de l'examen des freins à air et du test routier de la classe D. La communication avec le bureau était excellente, les instructeurs étaient utiles et compétents et tout le processus s'est déroulé sans accrocs. Je le recommanderais à d'autres.

Expérience négative: C'est définitivement l'une des expériences de formation les plus frustrantes et terribles que j'ai vécues. Mes connaissances sur le frein à air en classe étaient utiles, très informatives et claires, mais dès que j'ai commencé ma formation de classe D, cela a pris une plongée totale. Tout d'abord, ce n'était pas très organisé et la communication était nulle ; ils m'ont envoyé deux e-mails joints, l'un contenant le plan de mon paquet d'orientation, qui aurait dû être séparé ou avoir "informations importantes ci-dessous", ce qui m'a fait retarder ma première classe d'une semaine. Ensuite, environ 15-20 minutes avant de fermer pour le long week-end, ils m'ont envoyé un e-mail pour s'assurer que je consulte un livre que je n'ai jamais reçu ainsi que d'autres matériels manquants pour mes leçons de D, ils ne m'ont pas recontacté jusqu'à ma leçon de 15h le mardi suivant. Mes leçons de D n'étaient pas du tout informatives ; ils ne m'ont jamais montré comment faire les inspections préalables ou mon contrôle en cabine, ils s'attendaient simplement à ce que je sache et ne m'ont jamais montré comment effectuer correctement les inspections ni quelles parties inspecter exactement et où les trouver. Kevin n'était pas un très bon instructeur ; alors que j'essayais de lire mon rapport d'inspection, il était sur son téléphone à regarder des vidéos à un volume proche du maximum, sans donner aucun conseil ou astuce. J'ai interrompu mes leçons là-bas en leur envoyant un e-mail disant à quel point j'étais complètement déçu de mon expérience et que je souhaitais une forme de compensation, ce qu'ils ont complètement ignoré et je n'ai rien entendu depuis. Étant donné que j'ai été recommandé à cette soi-disant "institution" et que j'en suis quand même ressorti absolument dégoûté et déçu par mon expérience. Je recommanderais définitivement à quiconque lit ceci de chercher ailleurs.

Expérience fantastique: Quelle expérience incroyable ! Les instructeurs étaient soutenants et chacun d'eux apportait une richesse d'expérience et de perspicacité à chaque leçon. Je me sentais très préparé pour mon test de conduite DZ.

Expérience positive: Mon expérience chez Crossroads a été très mitigée. Fred était un excellent enseignant, il a tout expliqué et était très patient et à jour sur ses connaissances. Il m'a donné de bons conseils lors de la conduite sur la route, ce qui m'a vraiment aidé à réussir mon test de conduite. Kevin était un autre instructeur que j'ai eu. Son style d'enseignement était un peu différent. À la fin de ma leçon de conduite, il m'a fait sentir que je ne savais absolument rien. Il possède beaucoup de connaissances et je pense qu'il peut devenir un bien meilleur instructeur s'il travaille un peu plus sur sa patience.

Expérience négative: L'école de formation Cross Roads ne répond même pas aux attentes les plus basiques d'une institution de formation, comme en témoigne mon expérience regrettable lors de l'obtention d'une licence BZ. Du matériel d'étude inadéquat au comportement non professionnel du personnel, chaque aspect de mon temps dans cette école était rempli de déception et de frustration. Tout d'abord, le matériel d'étude fourni par l'école de formation Cross Roads était terriblement inadéquat. Manquant de clarté et de détails, il laissait beaucoup à désirer en termes de préparation des étudiants aux complexités de l'examen de licence BZ. Tenter de naviguer à travers des documents peu clairs n'ajoutait que du stress inutile à un processus d'apprentissage déjà difficile. L'un des problèmes les plus graves que j'ai rencontrés était l'attitude de mon instructeur, Béatrice. Loin d'être supportive ou abordable, Béatrice affichait constamment une attitude peu amicale, ayant souvent recours à élever la voix pendant les leçons. Un tel comportement non seulement créait un environnement d'apprentissage inconfortable, mais entravait également la communication efficace entre l'instructeur et l'élève. De plus, le manque de ponctualité à l'école de formation Cross Roads était épouvantable. Pas une seule leçon ne commença à l'heure, entraînant un temps perdu et de la frustration. À une occasion, Béatrice a disparu pendant 45 minutes lors d'une leçon. De manière choquante, il a été révélé que cette interruption était due à une réunion impromptue du personnel initiée par LE PROPRIÉTAIRE, perturbant complètement le processus d'apprentissage. L'inprofessionnalisme affiché par le personnel allait au-delà de la simple ponctualité. Lors de ma session de validation de freinage à air, l'instructeur fumait en continu dans la cabine du camion, créant un environnement profondément désagréable et dangereux. Ce comportement est non seulement inacceptable, mais démontre également un mépris flagrant pour le bien-être des étudiants. Des problèmes mécaniques ont frappé le bus de formation, causant d'importants retards dans l'achèvement de mes leçons. Les pannes étaient fréquentes, et le temps de réparation promis de deux semaines s'est transformé en dix semaines agonisantes en raison de pièces en rupture de stock. La nature peu fiable du bus de formation a ajouté des obstacles inutiles à un parcours d'apprentissage déjà difficile, prolongeant significativement le processus. En conclusion, l'école de formation Cross Roads est complètement inapte pour quiconque cherchant à obtenir sa licence BZ. À moins que des améliorations significatives ne soient apportées, je ne peux, en toute conscience, recommander cette école à quiconque. Les étudiants potentiels auraient intérêt à chercher d'autres options pour leurs besoins de formation. Toute réponse à cet avis de Crossroads qui minerait la crédibilité des informations que j'ai présentées n'est qu'une tentative de protéger l'image publique de l'entreprise, dépourvue de substance ou d'intégrité. La seule réponse appropriée dans cette situation est des excuses complètes et sincères.

Expérience positive: I wish I could rate the instructors and the office staff separately but unfortunately doesn’t work that way. I took the DZ fast track course and the instructors were without a doubt 5 ⭐️! John and Clay are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The problem I had was communication with the office staff. After 5 months of waiting to hear from them with a test date I reached out asking if I was getting close to my turn. They said yes any time now. A week or two later I emailed them again asking for an update and they said yes anytime now. Now 6 months of waiting I call them ready to ask for a refund but they had a test date for me and stated they could not reach me. I had no missed calls, no voice messages, nothing. As mentioned before I had been emailing them every couple weeks for updates so the fact they said they couldn’t reach me was not true. Overall still worth the wait as I passed my test the first try thanks to all the amazing instructors. But stay on top of the office people for your test date.

Expérience fantastique: After working with and sucessfully reciving my AZ licence, I am pleased to give this place 5 Stars. I want to say Thank you specifically to Garnet, and to John. Both of you helped me so much and really helped me understand and learn how to get this carrer started for me. However, there is one thing I would change. After completing my In-class portion, I expected to be pretty quickly into the truck to get driving. It took 3 MONTHS, for me to get any in truck experience. And ill be honest its a little embarassing when the yard crew asks questions about your air system, and you just cant recite it because it was 3 months ago. Aside from that, everybody was awesome. Hoping to get my mom to get her upgrade too! (Edit, I am currently in Washington, everything is going very well here!)

Expérience fantastique: Great experience training for my DZ. I took the Z course with the test and the D prep course with the test as well. They were both taught very well and very clearly. If I had any questions, the instructor would make sure I was 100% before the end of the day. Also, the practical classes prepared me incredibly well for the Z test and D drive test.

He keep the course interesting and you stay engaged. Chris know the trucking industry and will train you very well. Chris is calm and collected and does his best to make sure you understand what's being taught if you don't get something. He will take the time to show you and make sure you do it right. Chris is an asset to crossroads trucking school and you will come out of ur education knowing what you need to know to be a safe professional driver. Expérience fantastique: “Life changing” The 2 words to describe the time I had at Crossroads truck/bus driving school and the people I have met. When I first started the CZ portion of the course, I had no experience driving a heavy manual transmission, the use of air brakes or the proper inspections/regulations/ responsibilities that come along holding a CZ license. During the classroom portion. I felt comfortable with the process and theory as they were clearly explained, demonstrated and they tested my knowledge. Next was the driving portion. The instructors were very responsive to my questions, teaching proper technique that was helpful to remember, and each instructor had over decades worth of experience in the commercial industry. By the time I took the test I was ready. In the beginning when they say “you will be confident by the end of this course for your MTO exam” you will be.

I also had the great pleasure of having John as my driving instructor for both Heavy Transmission, Straight Truck, and Schedule 21 inspections. John has the natural ability to teach, and his calm and confident approach was a perfect match for my personality. I have to give him a personal thank you for the confidence he gave me for my road test. He went above and beyond on all fronts and set me up for success. Expérience fantastique: Meant to post this a while back but I've been busy out on the road since passing my test. Highly recommend Crossroads as they will prepare you to pass a very difficult test at the MTO. The service was excellent all around! Kris in the Admin Dept. was extremely helpful with my crazy schedule (especially during the difficult lockdowns last summer), the in-class training with Clay and Chris covered the academics and most importantly the in-cab trainers were patient and experienced. Keep up the great work! After graduation I was able to secure employment with Kelsey Trail Trucking as a regional driver, learned a ton with them. I have now moved on to a job that I am able to be home every night with Warren Gibson Transport. I'm continuing to learn new things everyday and build up my experience. Couldn't have done it without CROSSROADS!!!!

Expérience négative: Do yourself a favor and go to another truck driving and training school. After my recent experience with crossroads I would not recommend this school/academy to anyone. They do not teach you here but provide you with a script to follow which does not meet the MTO standards for anyone looking to get their DZ license. If you are coming to this school with no experience with trucks of this nature with expectations of them showing you what you need to know, DO NOT COME HERE. I gave this “school” $1600 for a DZ training course 1 year ago. I was told by Chris(receptionist) TODAY in the office “many others” from my class in November of 2019 are still waiting to get our road test completed and booked over 1 year later... I recently failed my road test and the school said it was solely my fault instead of taking my constructed criticism and any responsibility in the way that I specifically received training. My instructor Chris failed to train me correctly on a proper schedule 1 inspection. I know this because the examiner Judy in Barrie told me exactly why I failed my inspection and it contradicted what I was told by my instructor Chris. I failed my inspection following exactly what he told me to do. My first in vehicle 3h lesson was cut a half hour short for no known reason. My second lesson was followed by rural drives to his favorite gas station to get him coffee and lotto tickets. Your test will be performed in Barrie around Mapleview drive yet you will be driving the rural roads to Orillia for no reason. During my shorter than I paid for road lessons no COVID-19 standards were followed. My instructor chose not to wear a mask in the truck during our time together- yet put it on to get a coffee at Tim Hortons? None of the trucks were sanitized or cleaned between lessons nor were the trucks clean at all, instead garbage all over the floor and old coffee cups in the holders. Very unprofessional and low standards coming from a “academy”. When I came into the office today to address my concerns I was soon confronted by my instructor Chris who quickly became angry that I was unhappy with the inadequate schedule 1 inspection training he provided. After some short words and some raising of the voices he asked me to step outside for a moment - I regretfully followed him outside. He told me 3/5 students passed their test "today" After i told him his 50-60% student success rate was considerably low he then became belligerent - red to the face walked up to me chest to chest and started screaming in my face- still no mask on. Completely disregarding any COVID-19 standards and any professionalism. I asked him to step back polity and felt this could have easily escalated physical. Thankfully I am level headed and can control myself. Extremely unprofessional standards, I question how Chris is still training students with such a short temper and not following COVID-19 standards while inside with the social distancing measure put into place by the ministry of health and safety. I have also reported this to the ministry as this school did not want to hear my concerns and issues with my training i received wanted no word of it. The current rise in COVID19 cases are a result of negligence caused by people such as my instructor Chris and his disregard for face coverings in enclosed environments and lack sanitizing of trucks between different sets student and instructors. The whole time I was in the office they treated my concerns as a joke. I am not surprised based on how they are running this “academy”. I would really like to know who regulates and controls the curriculum, teaching standards and employs hot head instructors to teach inadequate truck inspections. This person would be the one who is ultimately failing the students allowing these types of standards and practices to continue. Maxed out characters/end review. TLDR; This "academy" is a scam, save your money go somewhere else. More reviews have very similar experiences to me. If I have convinced 1 person reading this to avoid this academy this post was worth my time

Expérience négative: I was honest and told Crossroads that i would be posting a negative review, as my experience with Crossroads was very frustrating I paid for my 'fasttrack' DZ course IN FULL back in early October of 2019 (4 months ago). Four months later I'm Still Waiting for my road test. Terrible communication from this driving school, The only communication i received was when i initiated a phone call. Finally gave up and asked for a refund, and was told that i would only receive a refund onto my credit card, even though i paid debit. The inflated prices that this school charges is not worth it, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Their promises are hollow, their performance is dismal, and their dependability is worse than bad. They could have done so much more to amend a terrible experience.

Expérience positive: I've waited a full year to review the program. Like everything in life, there were a few bumps in the road. Communication (on both sides) could have been better. Overall the training was good. I passed the on road test in my first attempt. Prior to starting the program, the debate was DZ versus AZ. I went with the AZ. It was a longer program, and more expensive. But I'm convinced I became a better driver because of it. I'm currently driving a plow truck under contract for a municipality north of the GTA. The AZ license got me the job even though a DZ was all that was required. I've been offered work in the Spring driving for the same company - either float or tandem dump truck - my choice. Originally I considered long haul, but with standby pay, I'm averaging $40 per hour on the plow truck. So if you are considering a truck training program, consider which license is best for you long term, and check around for a good reliable work.

Expérience négative: Was unable to make it into my course so I called and rescheduled now being told that's considered a no show. Also had information given out WITHOUT my consent violating the companies privacy policy. Do not trust this company. Over priced, lies, and a joke of a privacy policy.

Expérience négative: Worst experience ever. My husband who after 18 years in the construction trade decided to make a career change. Went to crossroads thinking "big name" would offer a quality experience, quality education and good assistance with making this switch. Paid the money. Did the course. Which went fine. Only for everything to go down hill once booking the actual drive test. The first time he went in and failed by a couple points on the written part (driving was perfect). So he had to book a re test for a couple months later (no big deal as that is on us). They couldn't get him in for a long time though which hurts as he had already signed on with a company with intentions to be able to drive. After them saying they would find a date and basically not calling back for weeks. My husband started to call them, pushing for them to book him in. They informed him he had already missed multiple dates he could of been booked for (because they failed to call him and book him in) and that the only time available would of been months down the road. The issue with this is that he didnt get a phone call. Didnt get a date. So much time went on and they didnt even consider him for any of these dates like they had promised and failed to inform him of any dates coming up. My guess is they got their money they no longer are making him a priority and basically are writing him off or are trying to loose the connection. If it wasnt for us having to reach out every day for 2 weeks I dont think he would of ever got a date or even a call back from them. Finally we get a date and a time. Being this Monday at 11 am. In ORILLIA which is a 45 min drive from us. We studied all weekend and he took the day off work to make this drive. Sitting in the parking lot since 9 am ready and willing to just get this done with. He walks in, registers everything else. 11am rolls around when he is suppose to test he walks up to the desk and they inform him that crossroads actually did not book him in for this date or time and he cant test today. !!!!! We have been waiting months for this day. And they messed it up again. Apparently there were 2 schedules. One where he was booked and one where he wasnt. Doesnt make sense as on the new one he had been replaced by someone else who ended up going ahead with their test. The only option the test center could offer is waiting around til 1 to see if that guy shows up. So now he is sitting and waiting in hopes they dont. After calling crossroads, talking to multiple people and trying to figure out what went wrong here. They had no information to give him and basically said next time to book would be another month down the road..... that's all they would do. No apology. No remorse. Like I said. It feels as if they have already ended the education relationship before my husband has even completed his goal, which I think is extremely unprofessional coming from a place that over charges thousands of dollars for the education to get your test. Other issue is we have to book through them. They have the truck. They have the instructor. Only way around it is dropping hundreds of other dollars renting a different truck and going outside of the school booking periods. Us as a young family with 2 babies under 3 and me not working, do not believe this is something we should have to do or should be required to do since we already paid for the use of crossroads to take the test. And all the fees associated with taking the re test. Now we are here on the day we were hoping this would all be over and we are no better off. Another day of lost wages. Another day of driving 45 mins one way to find out there is nothing they can do. And another month of waiting for hopefully an actual date and time to re test. To boot he still doesnt have his license which his new job is still waiting on, possibly putting his new career we have worked so hard to get into on the line. Which is scary for us with relying on that income. We got no support from crossoads. They still haven't even given us a date and instead a promise to call back (again) with our date.

Expérience négative: Vary unhappy with the way they coordinate the drive test waited over 2 months for my road test go in on the day I was give June 17th at 11 am . Get to the test center and I'm not booked in but crossroads gave me the day and time to be here . Took the day off work drove over a hour to the test center. Called crossroads and they will not help me all they will do is book another day . I will never send anyone to this school for anything. No help and vary rude on the phone's. The owner Mike preston will not return emails or even try to help . NOT A GOOD DRIVING SCHOOL AT ALL

Expérience fantastique: Today I passed my Z endorsement course with the help of Chris Madison and Clay. To say the very least I was nervous and all over the place as I’m not the greatest in class learner however after hours in class and on the road with the best instructors around.. I passed with flying colours. Thanks a lot for all the help Chris! Your awesome.

Expérience fantastique: I did my DZ through them. They made the in-class stuff really easy to learn and the practical was well done. Took a 6 hour in-truck today and the instructor was very good at preping me for the test. Thanks very much.

Expérience positive: Great experience. The instructors know the industry very well and present the material in a manner that connects to the less experienced student. Special thanks to Dwayne B. for his support throughout my AZ learning experience. The reason I did not score the school 5 stars is that there were some instances of misscomunication that could have been avoided but were not .

Expérience fantastique: Knowledgeable instructors, they each have there own perspective. Versatile for your learning experience. I enjoyed my time learning with these guys. The Az melt program gave me what i needed to start my carreer on the road. Thanks guys.

Expérience fantastique: The staff at Crossroads Are very helpful and knowledgable. I had to take my dz drivers test and my instructor Dwayne Brandon made sure that I knew every inch of the truck. I couldn't believe how quick I learned every inch after only a couple hours. His teaching method was incredible and I would highly recommend everyone to request him. I passed my test with flying colours.

Expérience négative: Dez,Christine, Frank ect.. The instructors know there stuff. The only thing that made it worth it. I learned from the best.. For the money you would think they would help you find a job. Took my money, I passed my DRIVING test and never herd from them until one month later. I found my own job thanks... Like others say." Way over priced for what they do in there office." I guess i payed for the experienced Instructors. By the way. Dez was especially dedicated to the DRIVING profession. Ask for him.. He'll be straight with you.....

Expérience fantastique: Pay for the best, you get the best. To my mind, Crossroads is the best. 40 years driving with G then I got my DZ through Crossroads. First DZ job was at Miller for 1 month, now at Progressive Waste. Course pays for itself in a month and a half. I love my job, best investment I ever made for myself.

Expérience fantastique: Teacher, Dez, amazing! Knows his stuff & reinforced knowledge I needed to get my Z through his real life experiences. Class was a comfortable size and everyone really pitched in to help each other out. An enjoyable, all around positive experience. Thanks Dez for sharing your experiences with us. Thanks also to my amazing classmates for showing such a strong, caring , support for each other.
