Expérience fantastique: J'ai récemment passé mon examen de conduite de catégorie G et j'ai eu une excellente expérience avec mon instructeur de conduite et l'examen lui-même. Mon instructeur était patient, minutieux et m'a donné des retours précieux qui m'ont aidé à améliorer mes compétences. Dès le début, il a adapté les leçons pour aborder mes points faibles, que ce soit le contrôle de mes angles morts ou le changement de voie sur les autoroutes. Il a également insisté sur la conduite défensive, ce qui a renforcé ma confiance.

Expérience négative: Étonné que les instructeurs de conduite de cette école ne pratiquent pas des habitudes de conduite sécuritaires ! J'étais sur la route aujourd'hui vers midi en sortant de l'autoroute 401 à Kennedy et un véhicule de la Kingston Driving Academy conduisait devant nous. Je sais pertinemment que ce n'était pas un étudiant car le conducteur était la seule personne dans la voiture. Toyota argenté avec plaque d'école de conduite 5967. Ils ont changé de voie deux fois à droite sans utiliser de clignotant. Le conducteur était alors dans la voie de droite et nous étions dans la voie du milieu à droite (donc tous les deux dans des voies côte à côte tournant vers le sud), nous avons tous les deux tourné mais le conducteur ne reste pas dans sa voie de tournant et vient dans notre voie, manquant de peu de heurter notre voiture. Heureusement, j'ai fait attention et j'ai pu m'écarter, mais les actions de ce conducteur étaient dangereuses, risquées, et ont failli provoquer un accident à cause de mauvaises habitudes. Un homme plus âgé avec des lunettes était au volant. S'IL VOUS PLAÎT, NE VENEZ PAS ICI. SI LES INSTRUCTEURS EUX-MÊMES NE PEUVENT PAS CONDUIRE EN TOUTE SÉCURITÉ, COMMENT PEUVENT-ILS ENSEIGNER AUX AUTRES ?

Expérience fantastique: Karen a été extrêmement patiente et compréhensive avec moi. En tant que nouvelle conductrice, j'étais très nerveuse et effrayée par la route, elle m'a aidée à gagner confiance et aussi à apprendre les règles et comment manipuler la voiture correctement en conduisant et en se garant. Je recommande vivement cette auto-école.

Expérience négative: Bonjour, j'écris cet avis pour avertir les futurs étudiants conducteurs de mon expérience avec cette auto-école. C'est là que j'ai pris mes leçons de conduite, et malheureusement, j'ai eu une expérience négative avec leurs services. On m'a dit que mon paiement inclurait un certificat à l'issue de mes leçons. En tant que personne qui préfère payer à l'avance et n'aime pas être endettée, j'ai payé le montant total pour les leçons en classe et de conduite. Cependant, à l'issue de mes cours, lorsque j'ai demandé à mon instructeur, Kanta Pardel, mon certificat lors de la dernière leçon, elle a catégoriquement refusé de me le fournir. Malgré avoir passé quelques minutes dans sa voiture à chercher des informations sur quand ou si je recevrais mon certificat, elle a non seulement caché l'information mais m'a aussi demandé de partir. Maintenant, compte tenu des coûts élevés de l'assurance automobile sans certificat d'auto-école, je me sens obligé d'aborder ce problème légalement. Mon intention est de m'assurer que ceux qui adoptent des pratiques malhonnêtes soient tenus responsables et d'empêcher qu'ils ne trompent les autres.

During my interactions with her, she treated me disrespectfully and constantly pressured me, attempting to coerce me into completing lessons with her. She consistently pushed for additional classes, and the price she initially quoted over the phone differed significantly from the amount she mentioned just two hours before my exam — it had doubled. When I expressed my inability to provide the additional funds, she engaged in argumentative behavior with both me and my brother. Furthermore, she issued threats, asserting that she possessed my license number and date of birth, implying that she could misuse this information to cancel my exam, creating a sense of vulnerability. Every communication from her seemed focused on persuading me to stay. Despite my refusal, she became increasingly aggressive, resorting to name-calling and demeaning language. This behavior can be accurately described as bullying. For those seeking driving instruction, I strongly advise against choosing Karen as an instructor, as she is not effective and tends to undermine her students.

Expérience négative: Karen does not care for her students and is super inconsistent. When I first started lessons here in May (it is now mid October), Karen was consistent picking me up for lessons and arranging lessons a couple days apart from eachother. As time went on, I ended up waiting weeks for responses and lessons. It got to the point where I was waiting 2 months at a time to even here back from her. She would ignore texts and calls. As if I didn't pay money, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. she started double booking clients and then calling me and cancelling. Sometimes she wouldn't even answer on our scheduled lessons days. I told her from the beginning my goal of lessons was to get my g2 ASAP. she didn't care. In fact, she called me stubborn for asking for lessons. Isn't she a driving instructor? When I finally decided I was done being treated like garbage, I informed her I no longer wished to receive lessons and she harassed me with suddenly having dates available for lessons. She told me I'm rushing for no reason and have until April 2024 to do my remaining 4 lessons. Didn't I tell her when I started that I wanted to get my g2 ASAP. She treated me like garbage and constantly harnessed me, trying to force me into finishing lessons with her. Every message from her was asking me to stay. I stood my ground saying no and that's when she became nasty, started calling me names and talking down on me. I like to call this bullying. If you want to learn to drive. Karen is NOT A GOOD INSTRUCTOR and will belittle you.

My experience with Karen was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my unfortunate encounter. From her tardiness to her offensive behavior, it was a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience. I took 2 sessions with her. Despite providing a time range for her arrival, she consistently arrived late in both, often beyond the given timeframe. This lack of punctuality was already a red flag. Moreover, I had explicitly mentioned to her at the beginning that I experienced driving anxiety. However, instead of providing support and reassurance, she chose to scold me for every action I took during the sessions. Her constant criticism only heightened my anxiety and made me even more startled behind the wheel. It was evident that she lacked empathy and understanding.. She displayed a dangerous disregard for safety by forcefully grabbing the steering wheel while I was driving. In second class she arrived a full 10 minutes late. This initial delay was frustrating and gave me a negative impression of her professionalism. However, when I refused to take the class as I had other commitments, matters quickly went from bad to worse when she finally arrived came to my home, she began ringing the bell incessantly and banging on the door. It was as if she wanted to make a spectacle of herself and demonstrate a complete disregard for basic manners. To make matters even more distressing, she shamelessly started using offensive language in a loud and aggressive manner. Her behavior was completely uncalled for and highly unprofessional. I was shocked and taken aback by her choice of words and her utter lack of respect for me as a client. I strongly advise anyone considering this particular driving school or this specific instructor to reconsider their options. I hope my review serves as a warning to others and encourages the driving school to address the behavior of this instructor.

Expérience négative: Unfortunately, I took classes from Karen’s husband. There was already a person learning when I entered the car and instructor was showing him some pictures on phone while he was driving, he seemed to be a first time driver , probably 18 years old. On my objection that the learner should focus only on driving, instructor did reply to me rudely that he know what he was doing ( showing him phone constantly when learner was driving). Otherwise also instructor didn’t tell me about lot of important rules which I learned later.

I had failed my g2 previously I felt If i tried again on my own i would have failed for sure. She is really good at teaching you all the correct steps for everything. I was always afraid of the instructors as most of them I met were rude. From lane changing to all sorts of parking she tells you what exactly you are lacking. If you have driving phobia, consult her. Karen isn’t great at explaining what to do, or correcting you, rather she just tends to yell and is rude. Overall her negative attitude and inability to teach is why I left I was able to get my first exposure to driving and would say I learnt things, but it’s not a positive learning environment. Would not recommend to anyone, as there are more instructors out there who actually care and know how to teach better.

Time came that I had to, I searched on the internet for an affordable driving school and found Kingston Driving Academy. KIRAN taught me tricks that I did not get from the previous instructors. She instantly calls out my mistakes and insults me if necessary..lol. Under her guidance, I passed the G2 test in 2019 and the G test yesterday, Nov. 16, 2022. I feel good that I’m now a fully licensed driver in Ontario, that I don’t have to do anything anymore except to be careful while on the road. I will always be thankful to Kiran and definitely recommend her to anybody who wants to get their driver’s license.

Very Capable and competent instructors and have confidence and trust that they are able to help new drivers in learning how to drive well. Was able to help me pass my g2 test on first try! Will definitely come back again for more lessons for my G licence! P.S Karen is awesome and the coolest!

Expérience fantastique: These guys are good! I passed my G2 on the first attempt with their help. Sanjeev and Gaurav are both very knowledgeable and patient. They taught me all the tricks to pass the road test. You won’t regret taking lessons from them!

She was able to teach me driving in only a few lessons and I passed my G2 test on the first try. Driving became very fun and easy after learning from a trusting and professional instructor. Expérience négative: Rude instructor. Was on the phone for entire lesson. Had me drive her around while she did errands and dropped off money to her family. Called me names and often grabbed the wheel during lessons which is so unsafe. Overall unprofessional and disappointing. Cut my losses and got much better lessons elsewhere.
