Expérience fantastique: J'ai pris des cours il y a environ un an et récemment quelques cours de remise à niveau avant mon examen de conduite. Chaque leçon m'a appris tant de grandes et de petites choses qui m'ont donné confiance et à l'aise au volant. Jean est un très bon instructeur et professionnel à fond. Il était très direct sur ce qui était attendu de moi non seulement pour réussir, mais aussi pour être un conducteur sûr. J'ai fait quelques erreurs de débutant avec lesquelles il m'a aidé et j'ai réussi l'examen de conduite juste après. Merci aux conducteurs de la ville et à Jean !

Depuis la salle de classe, les leçons de conduite sur route jusqu'à l'examen de conduite et au-delà, ils sont les meilleurs ! Les leçons étaient très informatives, bien structurées. J'ai pris les leçons sur route avec Redek et Ignat. J'avais zéro compétences en conduite, je n'avais jamais conduit de véhicules par moi-même. Leurs conseils et leur patience m'ont appris les compétences nécessaires pour devenir un conducteur sûr. Pas de raccourcis. Ils ont toujours renforcé ma confiance pour conduire. Expérience fantastique: I recently received G driving lessons from Ignat. He is an incredibly patient, knowledgeable and a positive teacher. He believed in me when I doubted my abilities. He took the time to clearly teach the skills and answered all my questions. I'm extremely happy with the service and successfully passed my G road test. He is literally the best teacher ever. during my practice time I have a few lessons with two other teachers but the way Ignant shows you nobody can do it. He gives you confidence. Expérience fantastique: I had an international driving license so I had the opportunity to go directly for a G test. I got my lessons from Ignat for this test and my experience was great. He is so calm and makes you feel relaxed even when you make really bad mistakes. I have also learnt lots of defensive driving techniques from him which helps me a lot and feel safe while driving with my family.

I already had my 10hrs from another driving school (Nalia's; DO NOT SUGGEST) but figured I would buy a 2hr course from this school since I felt like I didn't learn lots from the previous school. The driving instructor I was with, Ignat Penev, taught me a lot more than what I learned over my 10hrs course with the previous school. The instructor was very nice and calm always, gave amazing tips and tricks to park and turn safely, and was a joy to be with! My last classes were with Ignat penev, he is a gem for new learners, his unique way of teaching makes your driving skills easier and you get good chance to be successful on your drive test. My instructor Ignat, has been the best as he is very patient and make you feel comfortable behind the wheel. I just had 3 lessons and yet he got back my confidence in driving in the city on my first lesson! I recommend him 300% He also tried to push my comfort zone by offering me to drive on the highway and he makes sure that you enjoy it while everything is under control. Couldn’t be much happier and I am super lucky to had him, because my first instructor from another company wasn’t the same. Thank you !!

Expérience positive: The instructor on time/late ratio for driving instruction appointments was about 50/50. If this driving school is supposed to train you to pass your G2; I can tell you that both my daughters took their Basic Driving Course with this driving school; and they both failed on their first attempt.

Expérience fantastique: I was lucky enough to ride with the owner for my instruction prior to the test. I hadn't driven in a few years due to personal reasons and needed to get my license back to resume my career. I definitely would have failed my G2 test had I just gone and done it myself. Many years of learned habits would not have bode well on the actual test. Radek was very straightforward and calm with all of his instruction without any type of condescending tone or anything like that. He also knew his car inside and out. For parallel parking and reverse parking into a spot I actually learned something from him despite having 18 years on the road prior. He taught me to use certain ques on his specific vehicle in such a way that once I was lined up I could have done it blindfolded. It's not that I couldn't do those things before in what was a full size Chevy Express cargo van... but his his method was surgical in nature. He really knows his craft both on the road and how do deal with people and give them firm and reassuring commands. As I see a few other reviewers pointed out.. they may not answer the phone or call you back that afternoon. Don't worry. It's worth waiting for the next day callback in my experience.

Expérience négative: Used them a few years ago, would never recommend. Had 2 no shows for my driving lessons with John while he reassured me multiple times he was nearby. I waited over 2 hours one day. After that the makeup session with Radek was supposed to be 2 one hour times that we had schedule, he messaged me saying we were now doing a 2 hour session at a time that did not work for me. So we did 1 hour instead and I never did that other hour. Also recommend looking at how they respond to bad reviews. If they respond saying this isn’t true Iike they do with a lot of bad reviews I’ll make sure to upload text receipts and more so please don’t.

Expérience négative: Have been waiting for a return phone call or email for weeks. They quickly accepted payment but the owner cancelled my daughters driving hours and says he’s too busy to rebook. Do NOT recommend this business. He takes drivers to do his errands while ‘teaching’ them to drive.

Expérience fantastique: Alex is hands down the best instructor. Very friendly, patient, professional and a great teacher. Same goes for the main office, fast responses and friendly people. However, my one lesson with Jean was not a very pleasant experience.

I was very nervous but he helped me gain the confidence to be a good (if not the best ) new driver on the road. The examiner was super impressed with my driving skills. They have a package that includes a car rental for the road test if you happen to need that. Passed it on my first try!! Will definitely consider them for my G Road test in a year's time.

Expérience fantastique: Easy online booking system. I would say that the classroom content (I took it online) is very repetitive at times, but I guess that's necessary to learn the content. So far my experience with in-car driving instruction is fantastic! Alex has been very professional, friendly, and helpful.

Expérience fantastique: Went to City Driver after my G1 completion. I strongly recommend them for anyone looking to pursue driving classes in and around Ottawa. Their in-class 4 days course material is highly relevant and helps in attaining all the required knowledge around road regulations and rules. For on road drive sessions, I have to thank Radek, Winnifred and Jean for their stupendous guidance in ensuring I receive my G license. Kudos to Radek &e team ! You guys are doing a professional job ! Keep it up...

Expérience négative: The guy who answers the call is not worth speaking to at all. He's rude ignorant and has no understanding of how to speak to other humans let alone customers. But I ignored it because I really needed my license and mailed them my details. And then it took them ages to respond to it. And that's it. I realized I need to take my business elsewhere.

Expérience fantastique: I think the five star review says it all. In class is excellent. Unlike other driving schools, in City Drivers, you actually learn due to Radek’s teaching style. It keeps you intrigued and doesn’t bore you out. In car lessons were also fantastic. I drove with four of the instructors whom were all great. I drove with Radek twice and we always had fun conversations during appropriate times and we had driving related conversations when it was needed. It feels like driving with a friend when you have any one of these instructors. Of course, they’ll let you know when you mess up, as you should expect. My friends complained about their driving schools, but I had none here. I think I found the best driving school in Ottawa. Radek, Jean, Alex, and Winifred were all fantastic. Thanks

I passed my G1 immediately after the in class sessions and got my G2 with their help again 8 months later. Finally, I got my G again with their help, hands down the best driving school out there. Expérience négative: Not very impressed with this place. The instructors are great and all, but the one I had was very unreliable. He was always very late to pick me up for driving. I am talking close to an hour, every single session. He explained it was because I wanted to get picked up downtown, as that is most convenient for me, during rush hour. He also explained that he taught a class right before my driving time, so he cannot leave earlier to arrive on time. If that is the case than just explain that a later time would be more realistic! Why say you can be there for around 4:00, then not show up until 5:00? He seemed to give me the right amount of driving at least, though I am just guessing because he never actually recorded my driving time until our last session. He was a great teacher though, and I will admit that I booked him specifically for my final 10 hours of in-car lessons because he was so good. He also tried to book me for my future sessions while I was still in the vehicle, so I did not have to do it online which was nice. Many times he did not actually book it though and seemed to have just forgot about me. I believe twice I had to actually call him to see if he was still coming to pick me up, just to find out that he couldn't do it that day because he was with someone else. He never called me to let me know, I had to call him after waiting for an hour. I found this to be very irresponsible, and wasted a bunch of my time. I also have asked him several times on the status of my certificate. I need the certificate to get the reduction in my insurance and he has still not gotten back to me. He never called me, even when he said he would. No problems with the instructors other than that though. Most of the instructors I had during my 40 hours were really good at explaining concepts, both on the road, and in the classroom. If the guy had been more punctual, I would have given this place 5 stars.

I scheduled a refresher and a car RENTAL for the G exit test. I was charged $146.9 and the road test fee of $56. Therefore TOTAL of 203 Canadian Dollars. In addition, I was coming from out of town and came with greyhound and spent additional $80. Total spending that evening was $300 in addition for time off missing work. Radif Roflik car's light were not functioning and CANOTEK test center refused to take me for the G test. RADIF ROFLIK HAS STOLE MY MONEY AND DID NOT REFUND ME WHATSOEVER. PLEASE BEWARE AND CHOOSE ANY OTHER CAR LESSON BUSINESS IN OTTAWA OR ELSEWHERE. DO NOT SEND E-TRANSFER AS IT IS POSSIBLY A LEGITIMATE RIPOFF AS IT IN MY CASE. BEWARE PLEASEE

Expérience négative: If I could give it zero stars, I would. I did their $95 road test package. As per the website, this package includes a one hour practice, use of the car for the road test, and pick up and drop off. I completed the hour lesson and passed my drivers test. When I got back in the car with the instructor he told me that he didn't have time to take me home as he had another lesson starting in a little under an hour. We were at the Canotek driving test location and I live in the Glebe. We're almost 12 kilometres away from my home. The driving instructor leaves me at St. Laurent Mall despite me telling him I don't have a phone on me, I had never been to that area of Ottawa before, and I had no idea how to get home from St. Laurent. He tells me that he doesn't have any other options as he has to get to his next lesson, which was starting in 45 MINUTES. He had been on time for my lesson, so it wouldn't be fair to the next customer for him to be let, so he said. It ended up taking over 2 hours for me to get home on the bus after desperately trying to figure out how I would actually get home. I called City Drivers when I returned home and explained the situation, asking for full or partial refund because the service they provided was not the service they advertised. The person on the phone refused and told me I had passed the driver's test and gotten my license, so technically they fulfilled the advertised service. I've never been so upset or disappointed by a company in my life. I'm a 21 year old woman, so I was able to manage to get home safely, but I worry about a 16 year old finding themselves in the same situation. If you are a parent and you are thinking of enrolling your child here, please don't. The instructors don't care about their safety and may do to your child what they did to me.

Expérience fantastique: Radek is a perfect teacher. He taught me how to drive from zero and I never drove in my life. He will repeat million times the same thing until you get it. And on the other hand there is no stress at all. Learning driving was fun with Radek and at the same time his teaching approach was planned and very thorough. I will totally recommend this school to all my friends who do not only want to pass driving test, but to learn how to drive safely.

Expérience négative: Do NOT visit this place if you are not a big fan of swearing instructors. One of the main instructors (I think his name starts with an A?) always swears and lies to "make fun" of all his students. They did not give me a chance to rent a car for my Road Test, and got super mad at me when I didn't rent a car from them? The reason I later found out was because they were not coordinating and updating well with each other. There were even conflicts between several instructors as well. It turned out this school was not heard from any of my friends. avoid if you can!! Of course it's your choice but I'm just saying don't regret~ :)

Radek Roflik, the course instructor is a seasoned and well trained driver who will stop at nothing to make you become a wonderful driver, his combination of humour and balanced guide will make you comfortable behind the wheels and give you the required preparations to grab your license at the first go at it. We also paid for a car for the test, they followed up with us beforehand and were very reliable.

Expérience négative: Unfortunately the owner was very hard to reach and is not much concerned with customers. I say this because I was injured in an accident and asked them to extend my window by a year for my expected recovery to be complete. He said yes, but I when I called back to complete my driving hours, he denied that it had been a year and stated that I was actually 2 years late, and was rude throughout the call. I had a receipt with the date in question to prove this. I have seen several reviews regarding the same type of issue (owner not hesitating to take money where he can.) It was quite devastating to have lost hundreds of dollars because of this denial. Save your money.

Expérience fantastique: FANTASTIC DRIVING SCHOOL . The instructors are really friendly, helpful, and understandable. When I started the course I did not know much about driving. The classroom was well organized and very informative. For the in car training, I was able to practice with the different instructors. It helps me to get practice with different vehicles and every instructor tries to help me as much as they can. When I finished the program they helped me to schedule my road test appointment and got few extra lessons and for the road test, I was using car from the driving school. Passed my G2 on my first try. Now I know that I am well prepare for driving my family car everyday. THANK YOU CITY DRIVER TRAINING.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been terrified by the idea of driving and put it off for nine years, but I finally reached my breaking point with the CDT. One of the best driving school that picks up in the city I live had pretty terrible review, and the other was too expensive. CDT has a no nonsense attitude that ended up being what I needed to push through my initial anxiety. My first lesson was my first time on the road at all, and he immediately had me driving on the street to get the previous student back home (with a lot of help steering and use of the their second set of brakes). Their feedback were firm but encouraging, concrete and 100% constructive. They do a great job of reading you and evaluating what you’re doing in order to help you improve. Scheduling can be difficult because they are so booked and I have overheard similar scheduling issues and misunderstanding that people are complaining about here while in the car with their respective instructor. I haven’t experienced any issues myself. They nearly always pick up at business hours. After 10 hrs of lessons with not a lot of practice, I passed the road test on the first try. City drivers Training has a great talent for teaching, and I’ll be forever grateful to them for helping me feel comfortable in the driver’s seat. Their instructors are the best especially their lady instructor.

Expérience fantastique: Super helpful My experience with this driving school was amazing. I had a great experience with different driving instructor. I LEARNED lot of tricks to help me drive safer. These tricks helped me be a successful in my driving test. I felt as though i was really prepared for the driving test. And they are really affordable. The way that they teach drivee is absolutely amazing . I would recommend this driving school because it was an overall amazing experiece and i was able to get my driving licenses. They are so helpful.

Pretty cheap price for getting class lessons, road practical driving lessons and renting the comfy vehicle for your road test . The front desk laddy, class teacher and all the driving isntructures are very very polite, professional, outstanding and smart . Once you get there for any kinda lesson, you won't regret cuz they show you the way how to get your license in your first attempt . Experience it like me and then get your achievement in your first try ! I salute you Teacher Radek ! I am proud of having such kinda instructor !!!

Expérience négative: HORRIBLE DRIVING SCHOOL The owner was very unprofessional and rude. At 8:30 at night the owner called my girlfriend to harass her about a review she left regarding her horrible experience. He yelled and denied everything. She had tried to reach him over 20 times over the course of a month trying to confirm lessons to no avail. He would not return her calls or his employees, that had no idea what was going on. I sat with her while she waited for her instructor to show for her first lesson and after an hour we realized no one was going to show up. Just trying to schedule lessons took over most of our lives and was beyond stressful. It is so not worth the price, even his employees are unsatisfied with his communication skills. This was a scarring experience for the both of us, avoid.

Expérience négative: I would highly recommend looking for another agency and do not be fooled by the low price. I am not a Canadian but I have never met a person so untrustworthy, incorrect and delayed in these years in Ottawa. I had experience with both of my children, and to be honest they both got the driving license, but for each single driving lesson they have always had to wait for all the appointments they have taken in advance.

Expérience fantastique: Would highly recommend City Drivers Training. Reasonably priced and always quick to respond to calls and emails. Although the in-class material can by quite dry, the instructors always found a way to make it interesting and engaging. There's a lot of information to cover there, and I felt that everything was given the proper amount of time and focus. I'm an anxious driver who decided to learn later in life. I have to say, I was always made to feel confident and comfortable while behind the wheel with their instructors. I even spent a few hours driving manual, although it's not my preference, I know that I can do it if I have too. I passed my G2 with ease, and it is in no small part to the education and confidence I gained from City Drivers Training. When I decide to do me full G road test I will definitely be hitting them up for a few hours of in car training. Thanks guys!

Expérience fantastique: I had a great experience, the instructors are incredibly accommodating. I had plenty of opportunity to practice parking and three point turns and am now very confident in my parking. The techniques that they taught made even to most menacing of manoeuvres seem easy. We did plenty of in city driving on residential roads and after completing this course I feel very confident going into my G2 test. Would reccomend!

Expérience fantastique: The Instructor delivers useful and precise driving tips, he is very kind and humorous and his lessons are always exciting. Having been in the driving school business for many years now, he is the guy to go to! I learned manual transmission with him. It was difficult in the beginning, but his patience and experience truly helped me in easing the challenges early on. Fairly new to Ottawa, it was great to drive with someone familiar with the area. No matter where the pick up location is, he will be there! Its great that he also values his student's time, as punctuality is very important to him! Thank you so much! I highly recommend City Drivers as it has been very professional and accommodating! It's no wonder he has many students!

If they told me upfront that I would have to wait a month for the second part of the course I would have walked away and saved my money. If I could give negative stars I would.

Expérience négative: This was a very unpleasant experience which ended up with me going through many attempts to request a refund for half the lessons i signed up for. Radek (instructor) would sometimes just not respond to requests for driving and never kept an electronic record of my hours. He sometimes forgot he had agreed to driving and he would be on the phone or stop for errands while instructing. Worst experience ever!

Expérience négative: I took couple lessons with them and everything was going fine until it wasn't. For some reason, unexpectedly, my driving instructor (Radek) started acting irresponsibly and unprofessionally as he did not show up to the lessons and gave no excuses whatsoever. I could not reach him by phone and eventually, I had to cancel my lessons. I got my refund though soon, but I did not understand the motivation for this kind of sudden treatment change. Very disappointed and puzzled.

Expérience négative: I would give this company 0 stars if that was possible. I have never had such a poor experience with a company. Prior to making a payment, I informed David (or Radek?) of the date of my test, and I was told that I would be able to complete my 5 hours of in-car lessons. I sent the etransfer as I could not book lessons without paying. After completing payment, it was incredibly hard to get in touch with them and when I finally did, I was told by David that he would call back- but he never did. It took numerous calls on my part to even schedule the first lesson after over a week. On the day of the first session, after having waited beyond the allotted time for half an hour, I called him to ask if everything was ok. It was pretty clear by the tone of his voice that he didn't remember we had a lesson scheduled! I decided to cancel any classes at that point. The only positive is that I received my refund within 2 days. However, I had to scramble to find an alternate instructor before my driving test. A very unprofessional experience, this person was rude and unapologetic. I would never recommend City Drivers training to anyone.

Expérience positive: Two of children have taken their Divers Education here. Excellent one on one in-car training. Lively and engaging instructors for in class learning. Great prices, and they offer additional classes, custom tailored to suit your needs. Highly recommend, on every level. Unfortunately they lose one star...not a positive experience with one of the instructors - she spent a lot of time texting and encouraged my child to go with the flow of traffic, which resulted in SPEEDING. Management replaced instructor for another, but still...... #localguide

Expérience négative: The worst driving school ever Its like there is only 1 employee in the school I called to schedule a time to go for a drive , he answered and said he will call me back in he evening ,,,, he didn't I called the next day and left a voice mail ,, no body called back The next day I called and same guy answered and asked me to call him the next day at 1 , I called and he said he will call me back in 15 min ,,,guess what ? I waited 30 min and he didn't call , I called him back he didn't pick up the phone , I went to work and the next day he calls me from different number to schedule on Thursday . On Wednesday he calls me to drive in 1 hr and he suppose to come at 1 . Guess what again ? He didn't show up He called me 45 min later I didn't pick up So I have 2 advice for you 1) start your lessons at least 1 month before your test 2) anyone is better than this school

Expérience fantastique: I had an amazing experience with City Drivers School. Radek prepare me for the G2 license road test and I passed my road test on first attempt. I highly recommended my instructor Radek gave me lots of tips which made me confident in my driving. Radek is absolutely a great person and amazing driving instructor. I recommended this school for everyone who wants to improve their driving skills and get their license. Customer service was great.

Expérience positive: My driving instructor was Radek. I took 2 10-hours driving packages. Eventually, I passed the road test, and he did help me to build the skills necessary to pass the test. However, my main complaints are 1) he's always late (anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours); 2) never lets you know that he'll be late); 3) talks all the way while you're driving, instead of letting you to focus on the driving; 4) can easily take you someplace for his own business and let you wait in the car for as long as 30-45min; Anyway, I passed the test, and for that I thank him, but he wasted a lot of my time.

Expérience fantastique: Am cureentry still in it but I must say I did alot of research on driving schools and wanted one that made me feel comfortable as over the course of my life I've been in 4 car accidents so I was always a little scared of driving but half way through my experience this is by far the best.......the instructors ot at least the one I have is so frigging friendly talks about life and always asks what would u like to learn or anything u don't feel comfortable doing yet let's keep working on it ...very easy going and truly making my experience easy and fun thank you all for everything at city drivers staff and all employees you have been wonderful

Expérience fantastique: I had a very good experience with City Driver's. I had the chance to work with a few of the instructors, with different teaching techniques. I was ably to develop different techniques from each of them and chose what worked best for me. They are very patient with you and very encouraging. They will use their humor to calm your nerves if you get too nervous and make you relax a little. I would recommend Radek. He's funny and he teaches very well.

Driving instructors are very experienced and patient - they always stay calm if you are making errors and work with you patiently until you improve. They are honest and will only tell you to go for test when you are ready to do so. Radek, the school owner, is very responsive and helpful. There was a technical error in the Drive test system which did not allow me to book my test and he helped me throughout the process. I was especially impressed with Winifred - one of the instructors. He has amazing techniques for parking and turns which, if you repeat them, guarantee a successful completion of the move. I got my G1 and G2 from the first attempt and I will surely come back to this school again for before my G test.

Radek made sure to discuss with the class different situations that can happen while on the road, and how to react. Concerning the in-car training, Inam was my driving mentor for the majority of my ten hours on the road. He was very flexible with the hours, very patient and taught me different tricks to use (eg. parallel parking). Highly recommend Inam! Not only does City Driver's offer great service, but is also affordable!

Expérience négative: Absolutely horrendous experience with this company. Purchased 15 hours of in car driving lessons online in Spring 2016 and spoke to the owner via telephone to arrange lessons. I had specific concerns regarding availability, as my wife was only available after 6:30 on evenings Monday to Thursday. We wanted to make sure this would work for them as we wanted the lessons completed in a reasonable amount of time (I.e. 2-3 months). This was communicated to staff prior to her first lesson, to which the owner replied it wasn't an issue as he and his drivers "always worked until at least nine at night or later", despite only being able to book online as late as 4 PM. Fast forward to October 2016 - lessons still aren't completed. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable in their dealings. We've experienced everything from last minute cancellation to unreturned phone calls and emails for weeks on end. Lessons were often cut short as other customers had taken priority. When they did find return calls, 1-1.5 hour lessons were booked sometimes 3 weeks to a month apart. I am not one to post negative public reviews , but honestly feel like people should be aware of our experience so they can spend their money elsewhere. This isn't necessarily a reflection on the quality of instruction, but if you plan on getting your lessons done in a reasonable amount of time - look elsewhere. Yeah, the prices may be competitive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Brutal customer service.

Radek was teaching me, helping me get more confidence and practising all the parking that we need to know for the road test. I am confident now that i will clear my test when is the time. For me it's important to knpw the rules of the road properly so I can be a safe driver when I'm on the road by my self..This is good driving school, good price and very good teaching.
