Learning Curves - Training Site (Keswick)

Fantastic experience: …So, here is the story of my experience with the “M2” course at Honda Markham. I will start by saying that the balance between the three instructors was either a stroke of genius or sheer luck. If it was engineered, the person behind it knew what they were doing; if it was luck, I should play the lottery. Lisa, always maintaining a positive vibe, was great at outlining the course’s goals and made the learning path clear and engaging. Harristen provided invaluable guidance on what to avoid, using various examples to ensure everyone understood the key pitfalls. His approach created a healthy sense of caution, which, in my view, is crucial for staying focused and safe. Then there was Alexis, who brought a calming, reassuring presence. As we prepared for the final test, Alex helped us relax and enjoy the process, ensuring everyone was in the right mindset to perform their best. I only have good things to say about this course and these instructors. If I had to pick one area for improvement, it would be to get a megaphone. It would help address the challenge of hearing instructions over the noise of the motorcycles, helmets, wind, etc. Despite this, the course remains hands-down the best motorcycle “M2” course experience you could hope for. For me and many others in the class, it’s a five-star rating with two thumbs up for this all-star trio of instructors. I’m already looking forward to coming back for my “M”! And of course, I should let you know who they are and how you can attend their classes if you’re interested. The course I took was from “Learning Curves” at Honda Markham with Lisa (the goal setter), Harristen (the don’ts guru), and Alexis (the calming force). Highly recommended! Fantastic experience: My husband just did the motorcycle training program at the keswick training site this past weekend. They are really great to deal with! He had started the course a couple weeks ago and then injured this ankle. They were very accommodating to re-book. He was really happy with the course and instructor, and would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Just took the M2 course this past weekend at the Barrie location. We had a great group of riders and our instructors - Brian, Brooke, and Mark were awesome. They were very informative and thorough, while still leaving some room for lightheartedness. I went in as a first time rider with no experience, and learned SO much over the weekend. Exercises were challenging yet fun as well. And, the instructors are more than willing to work with you one-on-one if you’re finding something difficult. I would highly recommend Learning Curves!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been meaning to leave a review for Learning Curves for months now! I took the M2 course in September with Chris and Alexis as instructors. As a complete beginner (no prior knowledge of gears, throttle, any of it) in a class where everyone else had some experience, I initially felt pretty clueless. However, Chris and Alexis were incredibly attentive to all of our needs. They answered all my random questions and created a very supportive and encouraging environment during the riding sessions. One tip for other beginners: take a moment for a mental review before the second day of biking, since you’ll be building a lot on what you learned the day before. I was a bit overwhelmed going into the second riding session, feeling like I needed to relearn everything briefly, but the instructors were reassuring, and I appreciated knowing that I could retake the test if needed. After taking a moment to regroup and run quickly through the basics again, I was ready for the next steps and felt confident by testing time! It truly was a learning curve for me, but thanks to the excellent instruction and support from everyone, the course turned out to be a super fun and enjoyable learning experience. Everyone in the group passed the test, which was a great moment! I’m grateful for the skills I acquired and for the resources provided by the instructors. I also feel comfortable knowing I can reach out to them or Learning Curves for additional guidance in the future. So, long story short, I highly recommend Learning Curves to anyone looking to learn from scratch or improve their riding skills!!! P.S. I can’t say it helped much with my procrastination skills Hopefully I’m not leaving this review too late

Fantastic experience: The new Barrie location was fantastic and our instructors, Brian and Mark were outstanding. Brian is a wealth of knowledge and Mark has a great way of breaking down the exercises. Both super friendly and great teachers. I had never ridden a bike before this course and I now feel confident and empowered to get out there! I'm not an expert by any means - but I feel that I have a solid foundation on which to build. I rode several different bikes, which they encouraged. Each one is a little different. I'm not tall, but had options to get a feel for them. Really cannot recommend this course or the instructors enough.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend learning curves to anyone learning to ride or to get your m2. I just completed the course and feel way more confident to ride on the road. Evan and Chris were very knowledgeable and experienced riders, they really went above and beyond to give tips and suggestions to everyone in the course. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: This past weekend I had the pleasure of going through the Learning Curves M2 course in Keswick. Our group had a mixture of beginners to somewhat experienced. Chris and Alexis took a unique approach to each of us students. They were patient and knowledgeable and assisted to boost our confidence throughout the weekend. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: This course helped refresh and relearn skills I learned 11 years ago. The instructors were amazing and very efficient, with each having their own perspective that when joined with the other instructors melded into one cohesive instruction method that taught all points well.

Fantastic experience: Great course. I had little to no prior experience riding motorcycle before this course and now I feel very confident in my abilities to hit the open road! Additionally, it was a really fun weekend! Worth every penny. Who ever hires these instructors, keep doing what you’re doing.

Fantastic experience: This course was amazing. My instructors were Jon, Josh, Josh #2, and Lisa, and they were all fantastic, patient, knowledgeable, and fun! I learned so much about defensive driving and how to properly handle and ride a motorcycle. I had never ridden before and this course really helped to build my confidence as a driver. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone looking to learn how to ride!

Positive experience: Great instructors. The three of them were experienced riders and were able to commicate defensive riding techniques and skills to us. Maybe smaller classes would be a good idea only because during some riding excercises we kept getting bunched up which is a potentially dangerous thing with new and even somewhat experienced riders. Other than that oh and maybe have the bikes generally the same as a couple of the bikes I rode I found impeded me rather than assist me. I currently ride a Harley and the dirt bikes I was practicing on weren’t real world experience. I did fortunately ride a few different ones until I found the right fit. But thanks for the skills I learned as I’m sure they’ll save either my life of prevent injuries or hopefully avoid a situation all together. Good job. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This was an excellent training course. I learned a lot of helpful techniques and the instructors were all great guys, very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get their M2 license.

Fantastic experience: What a lovely weekend you'd spend at the location with great instructors. Carson, Lisa and Peter were very helpful and knowledgeable where they taught us essentials, real world scenarios and exercises. They also walked us through the entire evaluation process and let us practice it before the actual test. What great people! The course is worth every penny! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing time. I learned so much in that ine weekend. The instructor's Jennifer, Mohson and corina were very insightful and when they saw that you were struggling with something they were always there to give a tip or trick to help you out and would work with you one one. This was an awesome group of people in this class wich made it easier and more comfortable and then to have such support from instructors made it a tough but relaxing experience. Awesome awesome awesome. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've had my M2 16 years ago and lost it and had to redo...and this course was amazing...i learnt tip, tricks and technics I've never used before. Our class had people who never rode before and people you had...we had a great group of people and our instructors were amazing. Mohson, Jenn and Karina were patient, knowledgable and fun! What an amazing weekend. It was hard, but feel so much safer and confident. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I signed up for this course and enjoyed it a lot . I am a 45 years old with zero riding experience and I learned a lot . I failed the evaluation in the first take which was a bit disappointing but they called and offered a free re-take of the whole weekend course. After taking it for the second time , my skills were hugely improved and I passed the evaluation. Kudos to John , Shelly , Kyle and Sarah for being such passionate , fun and professional instructors.
