Fantastic experience: I took the adventure level one course recently. Prior to going, I had been a bit indecisive about which bike I wanted to take. I ultimately landed on taking the Africa Twin despite my apprehension. I just wasn't feeling comfortable on the bike. The course greatly helped with confidence on the AT. Yes, I did indeed drop the bike during the course. Yes... I gained a lot of comfort, skill, and technique to ride up and down hills, tight turn the bike at slow speeds on gravel and on grass, and rode over a good number of rocks. I'm certainly going to consider the level two course once I have put these skills to use. Sadly... it didn't make the motorcycle any lighter! As such, I still have to accept that picking up the AT is gonna be work!

Fantastic experience: Zero off road experience - Level 1 course I took Terry's level one course as a new motorbike rider with zero offroad experience. I cannot fully convey how much better and confident I am on my ADV bike after the course. OAA has a results based approach that adapts to the group and maximizes the time every day. It is grounded in basic physics and doesn't get tied up with gimmicks or catch phrases. It's just the goods to help you be a more confident rider. It's a travelling course across the country and if you can make the time it is well worth a bit or a drive and some motel or camping. Note: To get the most out of your course I would suggest having good clutch control of your bike. Terry will help you, but I think it's harder to get the most from the day if you are worried about a stall half the time.

Fantastic experience: Support from A to Z: one only has to focus on our learning. The trainer is very pedagogical as well as his partner, whose complicity is beyond doubt. Fantastic experience: 2 days of training that exceeded my expectations! The trainers are patient, funny, and provide clear advice that we can practice at our own pace. Fantastic experience: I took the OAA Level 1 course from Thierry in Kamloops, BC in July 2023. The course was excellent. It was well-planned and superbly presented. I came from a large road touring bike background and wanted to learn to ride gravel. The instruction and skills practice is straightforward and easily attainable. Finding better balance and having the bike become "weightless" under me was (and is) an incredible feeling. Thierry is an excellent instructor. His "classroom" is set up so that you have great group instruction during the practice exercises (on your bike) and individual attention for when you need it. I strongly recommend the course! You will be pleased with the results!

Fantastic experience: Thierry is a true professional adventure rider and explains the important riding skills in a way that you never forget. I now have the confidence to tackle the most formidable trails and yet know how to return home safe. Weekend was lots of fun and looking forward to doing another Explorer with OAA!

Fantastic experience: As a new off road rider this class was invaluable. Thierry and Sebastien were so helpful in getting us going on this class. I can now confidently turn 180 degree turns on gravel on my adventure bike. I think we all need more practice, but we have a great set of skills to put to use now. So well done, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great Experience. Trainers assess your experience level and work with you to develop muscle memory and confidence. The attendees were great and fun to hang out with. Recommend to anyone at any riding level.

Fantastic experience: The training was excellent. The instructors made it fun as they "retrained" us gently from our bad habits; and helped us develop the good habits/techniques. The proof in the end, is the newly developed confidence that i have in my riding ability. I ride a BMW R1200 GSA and the 550lbs now feels a lot lighter thanks to OAA!

Fantastic experience: The instructional pace was excellent. I felt that there was enough time to practice each technique before moving on to the next skill. Feedback from the instructors was typically immediate, allowing for corrections to be made right away. The breaks were well timed, allowing for rests in between riding, and information was shared during the breaks – no wasted time. There was good camaraderie among students, and everyone helped each other. On my 6-hour ride home, I traveled along ~ 100km of gravel and felt 10 times more confident than I did three days earlier. The course was worth every penny. Thanks Thierry and Byron!

Fantastic experience: j'ai toujours aimé faire de la trail. j'ai roulé quelques années avec une moto de route et j'adore la moto. Puis j'ai voulu me lancer dans la moto aventure mais c'est tellement une conduite différente qu'il faut revoir les techniques pour être à l'aise. OAA off-Road et leurs instructeurs apportent cette formation avec grand professionnalisme. je suis une grande peureuse et j'ai appris à manipuler ma moto à basse vitesse et reprendre les techniques de base m'a permis de me connaitre moi et ma moto. Je suis beaucoup plus à l'aise maintenant. Thierry et Nelson sont de grands pros, ils sont disponibles et à l'écoute. j'ai vraiment passé une très belle fin de semaine et suis bien contente de mes progrès. avec eux vous êtes sûrs d'être bien encadrés, quelle que soit votre moto ou votre personnalité.

Fantastic experience: Thierry and Byron did a fantastic job of instilling , or reinforcing some fundamentals of handling a motorcycle in an off-road environment. Whether a novice rider or a long-in-the-tooth biker, there was valuable information to be had. They presented the information in a straightforward, logical way, with each skill building on the previous. They presented in a relaxed, non-judgmental fashion and there was lots of time on the bike. I've been riding a motorcycle most of my life, I've had professional instruction and countless hours in the saddle - and I learned so much. Thank You OAA! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Did the level 1 intro in Rocky Mountain House last year (2021) had a wonderful time learning new riding skills, great structured session, knowledgeable instructors and a ton of fun. Took my 26 years of riding experiences to another level. Hooked so much I joined the level 2 explorer training in Balfour July 2022, amazing experience, amazing group of people, amazing instruction again. Fantastic experience: I recently completed the ADV 1 course in Rocky Mountain House. In my opinion, if you are serious about improving your off-road motorcycling skills, you should start signing up for OAA courses. In particular, I was impressed with the quality of the coaching, the extensive amount of drills and guided practice with feedback. The instructors — Thierry & Byron ware both highly knowledgeable and excellent communicators. They also kept things really fun. Bottom Line: OAA is outstanding at what they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will be back for further training in future because th 2 daysI spent with them were just so great and so valuable.

Fantastic experience: As a novice rider with only one year of experience on my BMW R1250GS, I learned so much during the 2-day course plus the 2-day xPlore gravel outing. The course was well structured and we had ample time to practise the maneuvers with instructuors pointing out what I was doing wrong or correct. What made it even more special was the Saturday night dinner get together and the Monday BBQ (xPlore) organized by the very friendly instructors, Thierry and Nelson. Had so much fun that I would like to register again next year.

Fantastic experience: I have been riding cruisers for the past 20 years, but this February I purchased a BMW F700GS with the intent of doing some dirt roads. Previously I would go an extra 20 kms to avoid dirt or gravel roads. So my husband thought it was a great idea that we take the OAA Off-Road Adventure Academy session that was being held May 28/29 in Rocky Mountain House. I started off the Saturday morning with lots of nervousness and preconceived fears about dirt and gravel, but they disappeared in a hurry ! Thierry and Alex were outstanding !! We got fantastic instructions and learned some very valuable skills, all while we were in a safe environment to practice them. I felt empowered by Thierry and constantly encouraged. The instructors were very knowledgeable, fun and most importantly patient. I highly recommend this course for all those looking to spend time off-road. Now onto the next adventure !!!

Fantastic experience: The OAA Off-Road skills course was recommended to me by a friend I bought a bike from, and it far surpassed my expectations. Thierry and Alex were not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, they presented the material and ran the drills in a way that made it fun and brought the group together to cooperate and learn from each other as well. They ensured every single participant was getting the one on one time necessary to improve their skills and build confidence. Of all the stuff you can spend money on riding motorbikes this is easily one of the best investments you can make.

Fantastic experience: Deuxième formation de niveau 1. Une première fois avec ma petite enduro 350 et une deuxième fois avec ma 890 Adventure. Thierry m'a permis de transférer et de solidifier mes acquis avec la nouvelle moto. Cette formation axée sur la mémoire musculaire est d'une incroyable efficacité sur le terrain. Les niveaux de confiance et de plaisir augmentent considérablement durant et suite à cette formation. Un grand merci à Thierry et également à Nelson pour cette superbe expérience! Fantastic experience: Thierry and Byron have the feeling and understand that you are a beginner and will train you without judgement. I am new to off roading, but I think that going on this course, I have already paid for the damage to my bike, my injuries for years and my pride may stay intact if I follow what they taught me.

Fantastic experience: Great opportunity to learn and develop in a controlled, supported setting. Every task would elicit a "Uh....no." response from my brain. I would try, fail, try, fail, try, do a bit better, fail again and then succeed. The next task, "Uh.....no." Same experience for the most part until at the end of the weekend I was mentally and emotionally spent, physically worn and successful at each and EVERY SKILL. The "x & y axis" and many other tips are relatable to all my riding, not just off pavement or off road.

I was challenged to learn skills on my bike, off my bike, about my bike and about myself as a rider. Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed the experience with #OAA attending their Level 1 Adventure Skills training near Rocky Mountain House, AB this past weekend. Thierry and Chipp quickly put us at ease with their friendly and helpful demeanour. I am a long time street rider but Adv style riding is new and intimidating to me especially on a large new GS. However, the pace of the class and the way each skill built on the last led me to feel far more confident after the two days. Tons of great information, tips and information. I would highly recommend the course for anyone wanting to learn how to ride off-road properly to be safer, more confident, and have more enjoyment. Isn’t that what riding is all about?

Fantastic experience: Just completed the Level 1 course last weekend. The instruction was excellent and the skills that I learned greatly improved my comfort level with my bike. The calm, patient nature of the instructors really helped me overcome nerves and fears of dumping my bike (no big deal). As a fairly new adv rider, I was apprehensive about doing slow maneuvers on gravel. By the end of the course I was more confident and now feel quite comfortable going out and practicing all of the skills we learned. Definitely recommend the course. Look forward to Level 2 once I gain some miles.

Fantastic experience: If I'm being honest, I wasn't sure I wanted to take this course. I started riding a few years ago and always hated the feeling of being on loose terrain. Well I went anyway. Day 1 was tough but I learned a lot. Day 2 took everything I learned on day 1 and made it fun. I noticed a huge improvement in my skills which resulted in a major confidence boost! Thierry, Chipp and Byron really know what they're talking about and are visibly passionate about helping people learn how to ride safely and skillfully. They were kind, incredibly supportive and always positive. I highly recommend this class to anyone whether they have years of riding experience or just bought their first bike, you will not regret it.

So many takeaways from the 2 days spent with their team of awesome coaches. You'll not only start practicing on the way out of the parking lot but this stuff will stick with your for the rest of your life. Fantastic experience: This is a must do for any one who wants to explore adventure riding. Terry and Jimmie are wonderful instructors and start from scratch with all. For me I bout a dual sport TGT was not really an off-road bike and I took the course after 3 weeks of owning that bike. I wanted to test my limits and the bikes limits but in a safe manner which is what U get with OAA. The only comment I would give is to do more assistance on the bikes and advise applicants accordingly. The system asks for that upon registration though. I had street tires which was not very bad until it rained and became very slippery in mud. However, good part is to fall in a course and test the limits. I learned a lot about my bike too. So I will take immediate actions to change tires and foot pigs. Well done Terry and team.

Fantastic experience: I just completed my Level 1 course with OAA and Thierry in Whistler. I had several years experience of riding on the street and I had some experience riding on FSR roads. I found the course extremely helpful. I recently purchased a new bike that was more off-road orientated. Thierry helped me build my confidence in my abilities and was able to give me personal tips to help me build my confidence in my bike. Well worth the money for the course. I’m scheduled to take the Level 2 course next month. I’m looking forward to being challenged by Thierry and building my skill set. Why invest $10-$20,000 in an off road bike if you don’t know how to ride it?

Fantastic experience: CRF1000L Africa Twin Most practical learning I have ever got from 2 days of Education. Just Getting by is what was mentioned early on in the training course weekend. As adventure motorbike riders we have all had to ride on gravel roads and none HI way roadways. The thing we never realize is that the skills that are learned on the road are ones of necessity and through injury. What I as a rider never realized was how little I know about such simple things as slow speed balance and Body position when turning. Offroad riding is nothing like hiway riding. 18 years of bad habits to be forgotten was difficult but out instructor was amazing and patient with everyone. Working in incremental steps with multiple demonstrations prior to practicing as a class. I Would recommend anyone who has a Adventure bike but feels nervous while riding Take a coarse with the OAA.

Fantastic experience: I did the level one course and enjoyed it. I definitely feel more comfortable on my bike than before the class. The course pushed my out of my comfort zone with slow speed maneuvers and riding terrain I was not used to. Good fun, good people...I would recommend the class and look forward to more adventures with the OAA!

Fantastic experience: KTM790R - Very happy to meet the OAA team. The course provided excellent slow speed foundation skills for off road riding. I thought I had decent off road experience until I took the course, which quickly undid some bad habits and put in the balance and body position to be able to progress into rugged terrain. Highly recommend the training for anyone riding an adventure bike off the pavement. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Just completed Thierry's ADV 1 Training and highly recommend it! I entered the course a competent pavement rider but with basically no dirt riding experience. Thierry did an excellent job of breaking down the necessary skills into manageable pieces with each building on what we had just learned. By the end of the second day everyone in the class showed great improvement in both ability and confidence. Will definitely be signing up for Level 2!

Fantastic experience: I am one of those guys that have ridden for 30 years. Decided to get into the dual sport life. If you would have told me that I would be happy to pull a 180 on wet muddy grass without falling down I would have laughed at you. Thierry did an amazing job of laying out in small steps how exactly to turn your bike safely on such slippery ground. By the end of the day we were all wet a little muddy but everyone was happy. We learned so much from riders like me to riders who were fairly new to the sport. The Two-Day xplore ridewas the combination of two days of training. It is hard for me to believe what I could make the bike do. What a wonderful course and I am thinking of doing one of his Baja rides in the future.

Fantastic experience: Had such a great time on this course that I almost forgot I was learning! Make no mistake though, I learned a ton and cant even fathom how we all progressed so much in such a short period of time. Clearly Thierry and his amazing team have figured out some sort of secret recipe to deliver the training in a way that is fun yet extremely effective. I cannot speak highly enough of how the OAA crew make you feel like family and truly care about you and the experience you have with them. If you are even thinking about signing up, just do it, you will not regret it. My only advice would be; the sooner you trust what the instructors are telling you and commit yourself to doing it, the quicker you will gain the confidence. I will be practicing what I have learned and look forward to more experiences with OAA.

Fantastic experience: ADV1 course May 25-26 at Maclean Creek, Alberta. Great course, instructors, food and participants. This was my first course I've taken for many years and I'm so glad I did. I learned a lot about how to ride off-road. The instructors were helpful, informative and patient. Highly recommend this for anyone planning to drive off the pavement.

Thierry and his team were organized and kept everything moving despite the miserable weather on the first day. The exercises are structured to start with fundamentals and steadily progress, each skill builds in to the next exercise. The instructors provide constant feedback and corrections, they are focused on the details to help you succeed. Plus they feed you and help you pick up your bike...

Fantastic experience: Wow..had a great time. Was hesitant the day before as I hadn't done much off pavement riding - but this course was perfect for me and gave me confidence over the weekend. My abilities increased exponentially. The coaching was terrific. I would highly recommend this course ... looking forward to taking on the next level of training.

Fantastic experience: While comfortable throwing a small dirt bike around the trails, I’ve found myself lacking the confidence to handle my bigger adventure bike off-pavement in anything but well maintained gravel roads. I’ve taken some one day off-pavement courses in the past and while it is possible to learn the theory of how to ride off-pavement in one day, there is simply not enough time to turn that theory into practical skills. Whether you learn the theory of riding off-pavement from a clinic or from on-line videos, without the proper environment, time and feedback, it is very difficult to translate that theory into skills on your own. When your adventure bike outweighs you by several times a few drops during a self-learning session can be exhausting and end practice for the day. A reluctance to drop your bike then holds back your ability to push yourself to the level needed to properly learn the skills. OAA provides the the timeframe, teaching and environment necessary to learn the skills for confidently handling a large adventure bike off-pavement. Thierry teaches the theory and associated skills in small progressive steps, with enough time to gain the level of proficiency needed to progress to the next level. If you drop your bike (which you will), your fellow riders will help you, allowing you to continue without getting frustrated or exhausted or become too tentative for fear of dropping again. As you learn skills, Thierry progressively increases the difficulty of the exercises, adding in different types of terrain and obstacles to raise the challenge level. In between exercises, rounds of follow the leader and group play sessions expand your comfort zone further applying your skills in real-world terrain, outside of the controlled environment of the exercises. By the end of the weekend you’ll find yourself searching out and riding for fun the obstacles and terrain that you would have previously tried to avoid. Riding is not just about the skills, it is also about meeting people and having an adventure. Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT course! Took Level 1 September 2018 @ McClean Creek, AB. First impressions arriving on site: Thierry, Sheila, Ed, Brenda, are experienced + organized. They pepper you with Off Pavement info, building your skill level at incredible speed all while leaving you with a SOLID foundation of muscle memory by the end of Day 2. -I was confident enough to venture into mountain logging roads right after the course! You are VERY well taken care of throughout the weekend. I was challenged to exceed my limits, pushing myself to learn new techniques but always feeling supported! They take care of you as if you were family and make you a better rider, guaranteed!

Fantastic experience: We were set to do the Colorado BDR in August 2018. I’m not an experienced back country rider - this was a really daunting trip for me. So I signed up for the Level 1 July course hoping to get a few tips and build up my confidence. I ended up getting way more then I expected! The course progression was great. Every drill was a build up for the next. There was just as much to learn for the experienced riders as there was for me. Thierry had a ton of other information to share on bikes, accessories, etc. Thierry, Brenda, Stu and Jimmy were all great instructors. The best part: It gave me everything I needed to do most of the BDR passes. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: We traveled to BC and took the course north of Balfour. What a great time! The whole experience was top notch. This course made me a much better and safer rider. Thierry and crew were very knowledgable, encouraging and provided great support. The fundamentals we learned were drilled into us and I won't forget them. I will certainly be taking more courses or even a trip with OAA. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: Three days after taking the Adventure 1 course and my hands are finally good enough again to type a review! Not exactly new to riding or gravel, I registered with OAA in the hopes of learning the necessary skills for true off-road conditions in order to explore the back country with confidence, and the instruction and drills did not disappoint. By the end of the first day, I felt noticeably more relaxed on the bike and at the end of the weekend, any trepidation I'd had riding through loose rock, trails, hills, etc. was replaced with knowing where I needed to be on the bike, where to look, and what my clutch and brake needed to do to navigate whatever the trail threw at me. YAY! Thank you so much Thierry, Jimmy, BBQ Stu, Brenda, Ed, and Sheila for a terrific experience that ranks right up there/surpasses the track and street riding classes I've taken. I feel like Off-Road Adventure Academy has given me the real keys to my dual sport.

Fantastic experience: This was an awesome course and well worth the money! Thierry and his staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful, every tip they gave me while doing the drills aided in improving my riding ablility. I was actually amazed at how much I was able to learn and implement in 2 days. The food was also excellent, a great BBQ lunch and a supply of water all day long, no need to bring anything but your bike! For anyone thinking of taking their bike off the pavement I highly recommend this course!! I look forward to doing level 2!

Fantastic experience: Before taking the Adventure 1 program, I was nervous riding my Africa Twin in the rough stuff. I felt intimidated by the size and weight of the bike to ride it on much less than a gravel road. After taking this course, the bike feels smaller and I am more than happy and comfortable riding off the beaten path. The instructors are excellent and possess great knowledge and skills. I learned a ton in just 2 days. I know I would not have become nearly as proficient with these skills even after years of trying to just figure it out. If its the cost you are worried about, it will cost more in repairs the first time you dump your bike because you lack fundamental skills. You will NOT be disappointed by the value of this course.

Fantastic experience: At the time of the course, I was a new rider (one month experience). The course and it's instructors are extremely helpful and all students work at their own pace depending on their level of experience. My skills and confidence grew tremendously over the duration of the course! Instructors are top-notch and supportive, the course moves along at a good pace, and many giggles were had along the way. Fantastic experience: Outstanding class. Covers the basics in depth which provides a solid foundation to allow the rider to safely and properly progress toward more advanced off road riding. Fantastic experience: Just finished the level one off-road skills training camp up in Whistler on the weekend. What a great way to hone your riding skills. Thierry was a great instructor and had a program that was progressive and challenging for different skill levels. I consider myself a decent rider, but he was able to break things down for me, gave me some great tips, and skills and drills that I can work on to make my next off-road adventure even more fun! Braaaap! I would recommend it to those who want a deeper understanding on the relationship between you, your bike, and the ground you ride on. It will pay off in fun on the backroads and trail.

Fantastic experience: OAA provided an excellent opportunity to learn the proper techniques of riding off road. Each of Thierry's lessons built on the last; which left me with the insight and confidence to safely develop my new skills, out in the trails. (A fringe benefit was meeting a bunch of like-minded, future riding buddies.)

Fantastic experience: Thierry as an instructor was impressive. His personal skill level and ability to communicate what needed to be done was excellent. I have had many years of riding on and off road but not much skill at slow speed off road on a heavy bike like a 1200 gs. This is a two day course and I learned enough on the first day to feel i received a bargain! By day two my skill level was light years ahead of where I had been. The confidence I have gained is staggering and of greater significance Thierry gave me drills and knowledge that will allow me to improve on my own. A sincere thank you for your course and i will definitely be enrolling in the 2nd stage course. A special thank you to Sheila you were awesome, plus Ed the photo guy you captured some awesome moments. Thanks to Jimmi an excellent instructor and all around great guy. Fantastic experience: My husband and I took the Sept 16-17 Level 1 course at McLean Creek and we had a blast! We had an awesome group of people for our course which made it even more enjoyable. Thierry is an excellent instructor and makes the course doable for everyone, it doesn't matter if you are a new rider or have ridden for 40 years you will learn a lot. You start off slow and progress from there with each exercise incorporating skills from the last as you progress through the weekend. By the end of the course you really do start working off muscle memory as the movements start becoming second nature. The emphasis on bike control and body positioning was very helpful, it is amazing how much a little tweak in body positioning can make everything so much more fluid. I am a much more confident rider after the two day course and look forward to taking Level II next year. Thank you Thierry, Jimmi, Sheila and Ed for the excellent weekend, we are so glad we were able to attend the course! Your patience and encouragement were much appreciated. The skills you taught us are invaluable and are going to really help us level up our riding!

I am so thankful for the time to practice, practice and practice the correct body position and bike control skills. Fantastic experience: My training was cut short by an injury of my own doing - bummer because the instructors, the training, the site, everything was excellent. Not to mention the incredible concern and care the instructors and course organizers showered on me once injured. These guys/gals know what they're doing and they clearly care deeply about showing others how to live the off-road riding dream. I'll be back next year! :D

Fantastic experience: Thank you Thierry for a great weekend! My little 250 Honda dual sport (a "real man's bike" to be sure) felt a little awkward and foreign in spite of, or perhaps because, it was my first off-road bike after 3 street bikes. Your approach provides a reliable (works for everyone) method for teach new skills - drill, drill, drill. It was well after I would have quit on my own that things really started to come together. The bike now feels more like an extension of my body and the increase in confidence this gives is unbelievable. I think your idea to teach a few core skills really well is very smart and gives your students both confidence and a strong foundation for future learning and development.

Fantastic experience: I have to admit that at first I was surprised at the feeling of a slow start, but Thierry had a method to his madness and even though many riders had years of "street" experience, it was clear we all needed the slow progression method to safely handle the off pavement riding. The course is an excellent step by step progression from simple maneuvers to increasingly difficult (if you do them right) maneuvers. Very inspiring and confidence building which was exactly what I was hoping for - giving me the basics to now go out and practice on my own as much as I can. I would recommend this course to new or experienced riders - you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: I've been road biking for +30 years and decided this spring to go to the "dirt side". The OAA course came highly recommended by some friends of mine and they were dead on. Thierry and his team are exceptional instructors, motivators and hosts. The course is well planned and I like the fact that they focus on the essential key skills versus doing the brain dump. The exercises hammer home the skills and their theory of muscle memory really works. By the end of two days I have a totally different perspective...and far better confidence and capability to successfully navigate the dirt, gravel and rocks. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I took the level 1 course in Balfour, BC. Excellent 2 days focused on muscle memory learning all the key steps to riding offroad, the next two days we went on the Xplor ride in the mountains and without even thinking about the proper techniques, my body naturally picked up the right skills in the real situation on the dirt and rocky roads and much more. Positive experience: Had a great couple of days in Kananaskis learning new skills. All the instructors were great and were able to point out mistakes quickly and get us on the right track. Would have liked to see less waiting around and more time practicing the skills. I know it is a challenge with instructor ratio but perhaps a second practice area that students could be working in during the wait times would make the course more valuable.

Fantastic experience: Best value for your money! I cannot believe how much I have learned and improved in this course! I am a totally different rider now and even my friends have noticed the difference. What I also noticed is that everybody got to improve tons - even the ones who arrived at a pretty strong level already. The instructors are masters of tailoring the course to their clientele. If you like venturing off road, this course is a must!

Originally I had taken the OAA Level One course in Balfour in September 2016 but decided that since it was so invaluable, I would repeat it this past June, 2017 and combine it with a 4100 km road trip. This course is an absolute must have for any rider. Thierry and his crew patiently take you back to the basics, correct bad habits and then teach you the correct techniques to properly handle the bike. If you are concerned that your skills are not up to this course, don't worry. You will be absolutely amazed at what you can achieve.

Support staff, photographer, location and food was also top notch. I can't believe how much I learned in the matter of a weekend! Worth the 8 hrs ride to get there. I only wish it wasn't over lol. Fantastic experience: Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! What a great 2 days of instruction. We have been riding for better than 20 years and this is the first structured course taken (other than the 15 minutes Dad explained the clutch and gear order). I believe the OAA classes are for any level of rider and if you truly want to enjoy the Adventure/Dual Sport riding this is a great investment. The delivery of instruction was very clear and made understandable to all levels of rider. The instructor are top notch. Awesome, Awesome, Can’t wait for level 2 & 3.
