Learning Curves - Training Site (Hamilton)

Fantastic experience: I took my course around mid-late October and I cannot express how much I enjoyed it. Instructors Chantelle, Adam, Bernie and Shane were all amazing teachers, and I learned so much over the few days we were with them. They were all kind, patient, supportive and encouraging. It was a wonderful environment to learn in and I couldn't recommend it enough. I want to give a special thank you to Chantelle; I had an especially rough morning on the second day and she was incredibly patient with me while I composed myself and got back on my feet. That was so important to me and I hope that she knows how impactful that was <3 I'm about to register my own bike and I couldn't have done it without these amazing people. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: The lessons before the test were great. They reinforced things that have kept me safe this year. I've had close encounters more than ever. Paying attention to the lessons was 100% life saving. I've had trucks, cars, etc move into my lane; accidents avoided. When I'm on my motorcycle (as cathartic as it is) paying attention has become both subconscious and conscious, habit. The female instructor also paid attention to each of us during practice rides. Amazing, I didn't know it. She clued into my own curve of test taking vs real life situations even though I kept it to myself. I was dinged for everything I did wrong as I should be. But I value her awareness, cognition and ability to see others short comings. Thank you for being so amazing. You guys are honestly the best.

Fantastic experience: My hubby and I had the pleasure to be in last week’s classes. It was such a great experience and the instructors (Shane, Bernie, Adam and John) made it fun. Their knowledge and expertise made things easy to understand and become comfortable on the bikes. If you are looking for somewhere to do your M2 this is the place to do it!

Fantastic experience: It was very enjoyable weekend. Bernie, Delano, Glenn and John. Thank you very much for your professionalism. With your expertise, I was able to sharpen my current skills as well as learn new ones. I truly enjoyed the conversations on and off the motorcycles. All instructors were very skillful when demonstrating various maneuvers on the motorcycle. While dismounted, they were excellent at explaining "do's and don'ts", all the while being very supportive and they make sure to answer anyone's questions. I might add, they are very funny as well. Lastly, they were very diligent in taking care of the ever changing obstacles in the training lot. It was around 27°c and that sun wasn't shy. They worked while we took our breaks. Very good people all in all. As for the motorcycles, I was able to use a Honda Grom, a Honda CBR125, and a GSXR125. No issues with any of the machinery. In conclusion, 5 . I would highly reccomend Learning Curves Hamilton to anyone interested in learning to ride. I am looking forward to taking my M-course with Learning curves. Fantastic experience: I got my M this weekend and couldn't be happier!!! Deste was my instructor, and she is phenomenal. She is extremely knowledgeable, a great rider and on top of that, so warm and cheerful. Our small group of 5 rode all morning, with Deste holding the 2nd position in group formation, at all times. Her instructions were clear and corrective notes were very helpful. Great team and fantastic school! I highly recommend Learning Curves and Deste as an instructor! Thank you team!!!

Fantastic experience: Delano, Eric, and Shane were such an incredible team of instructors for the M2 course. They were MASTERFUL in their demonstrations, persistent with their encouragement, and unrelentingly patient!! As someone who has participated in hundreds of training sessions and workshops as a lifeguard and then an educator (for 11 years), I can honestly say you’re in REALLY good hands here. I did more learning in just a few hours of this course, than I have in an entire semester at world-renowned universities. (Obviously the content was a lot more interesting, so take that comment how you wish.) Tbh, I was pretty bummed out that I’d be missing Base on Sunday, but they were super respectful of everybody’s time, and stayed perfectly on track all weekend. Me and my fam were able to be back in Waterloo by 5:30, and celebrate with our church family (it was a free BBQ tonight, so looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing)! Anyways, if you choose LC, come with your questions, a notebook, and a little room in your life for some new riding friends. This weekend was so much better than I could’ve anticipated— such a good blend of challenging, humbling, and fun.

Fantastic experience: I just completed the M2 course in Hamilton and have nothing but great things to say. 5/5 stars for sure! My instructors were Looch, Glenn and D and they were fantastic. I learned so much over the 3 day course and left feeling so much more confident. I was definitely a beginner (I had never used a clutch!) and they were all so supportive and helpful throughout the course. Don’t sleep on this course or feel too intimidated to sign up. Do yourself a favour and register!

They all communicated as well and the instructors communicated and supported us. Just amazing. It was a hot weekend and we all had a great time. Fantastic experience: I had the best experience through Hamilton Learning Curves!!! I initially went through the first half of the M2 program in May with Eric, Shane and Delano. They were absolutely amazing and helped me find confidence in my riding skills. But once a small accident occurred towards the end of the 1st day, I was physically unable to continue. I went back this past weekend to retry the course and pass my M2. I had the pleasure of having Eric as my instructor again, and he was accompanied by 3 other wonderful and incredibly skilled instructors: Al, Bernie and Glenn. They made sure all of us understood the basics and built us up from there, in terms of skill and confidence. My entire class had either little to no experience on a motorcycle and by mid-day on Saturday we were all comfortably zooming along on our respective bikes. Any of the instructors I had the pleasure of meeting all know just the right way to get you to understand the tasks at hand; even if they have to explain it to you differently. They are kind, understanding and always made sure everyone was safe, understood instruction and how to communicate effectively whilst riding. If you want to take your M2 course I highly reccomend you come to Hamilton Learning Curves. You will feel at home on a motorcycle by the end of the two days when working with any of the aforementioned instructors. I swear Hamilton Learning Curves has the best instructors anywhere in Ontario.

Fantastic experience: I've had my training a few years ago with Shane and Eric, and I carry these lessons till today and they kept me safe throughout my years of riding. I had the pleasure this weekend of witnessing the training that my girlfriend had with instructors Glenn, Eric, Bernie and Al.. these guys know how to transform someone who has never been on a motorcycle into a confident and safe rider. Highly recommend it to anyone willing to ride one day. Ride safe guys! ✌️

Looch, Glen and Eric are absolute studs, they made course so much fun and helped challenge you to reach your top potential! Plus you get to meet some amazing people along the way! Extremely professional yet patient coaches who make learning more like a fun activity rather than a process. The amount of training and knowledge and practical skills imparted by these learned instructors is simply amazing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to start their motorcycle journey! Fantastic experience: Such a great experience with learning curves. All the instructors were very supportive and encouraging about learning to ride, they all wanted to see people be safe and have a good time. Instruction always communicated well, and set time aside to discuss and help riders if they were struggling. Rod our main instructor, Deste, and Scott were great teachers! Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of being trained by Shane, Delano and Eric. Incredibly informative and started with the stripped down basics of how a motorcycle functions including gearing and clutch functions. Fast forward 2 days and you're practicing emergency maneuvers and doing your final evaluation. We had a bit of the heat, wind and rain to contend with so perfect opportunity to see what the real world is about. The staff are awesome, they haves decades of riding experience and really try to pass on as much knowledge as they can outside the course curriculum. Worth every penny! Fantastic experience: Cristina Gould was so great and funny. She was very patient and thorough with teaching an old chicken like me. She never made me feel like I could not do it. Alex and Marisa were fantastic at also assisting in. this new tough endeavor I needed to complete to ride my little vespa with my hubby.

Deste, Scott, and Marissa are a fantastic team, very enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, honest, and fun to learn from. It's a wonderful thing to find people who are so passionate about teaching. They went above and beyond with me as a nervous beginner, and I am now riding confidently and thinking often while on the road about what they taught me. When I got my first wave from another rider I gave a little whoop inside my helmet and was so happy to have made the decision to finally get good training and get out there. Fantastic experience: I had been writing and renewing my M1 every season for a decade already when I took this course, I got my first dirt bike when I was 8, and I'm currently riding a Kawi Vulcan 900. I came into this course already very comfortable riding, thinking it would just be a means to an end so to speak. I figured "what I could I possibly learn, I'm just here to get my M2". But honestly, I was very humbled and learned a lot, including but not limited to safe lane positioning on multi laned highways and turning scenarios. Shane, Delano, Tyler and Eric are all very approachable, patient and knowledgeable instructors. I would absolutely recommend this course to everyone who plans on riding on the open road.

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors! I'm grateful for Shane, Delano, Eric, and Tyler, they were very friendly, welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. The course consisted of one 3-hour in-class session and two 8-hour days of riding. Each exercise was carefully explained and questions were answered thoroughly. You'll learn everything from the ground up like shifting gears, controls, and clutch control, emergency stops, evasive maneuvers, sharp turns, and cornering. They gave me the support I needed to ride confidently. They had a variety of bikes, even for smaller riders like myself. Looking forward to riding thanks to this team!

Fantastic experience: Did course in Hamilton (limeridge mall) with Glenn, Eric, Raj and Tyler. All instructors were amazing, I would recommend this course to anyone. I had little to no experience on a bike and left with the ability to drive safely on the streets.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, I don’t even know where to start so I’ll start from the beginning. Guys, if you want a place that will teach you everything you want to know and make you extremely comfortable and confident.. this is the place to go. Before this course, I was extremely nervous. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before, basically 0% experience. I had zero confidence in my ability to even ride one but that all changed this past weekend. These guys are absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful to the group of instructors that I had that taught us everything we now know on top of making me feel way more confident. If you have doubts, don’t let them ruin your ability to ride, trust me. Again, from someone with absolutely zero experience, these guys changed that. To be quite frank, I didn’t want the weekend to end!! THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO PEOPLE, I promise you.. you will not be disappointed.. if I could give learning curves a 10 out of 5 stars, I would!! Fantastic experience: I went in to learning curves with basically no experience and the instructors there helped me out tremendously. Shane,Delano,Tyler,and Alex were the instructors on the Hamilton site i went to. They were all so helpful with the things i was having trouble with. They took the time to walk through things with me and gave me hints and tips along the way. I passed my M2 thanks to their guidance and what they showed me to do through out the two day course. They are bunch of great guys, and the overall experience was exciting and fun. I highly recommend coming here.

I just finished my M2 course and I can say I went into it not knowing how to ride a bike at all, to leaving feeling very confident with two full solid days of learning. Fantastic experience: The learning curves team at Lime Ridge Mall is the best. Just passed the training course with them on the weekend, and they are very friendly and helpful. The team understands that some students have never even touched a bike in their lives, while other students have already been riding. They teach you right from the basics, to ensure you are comfortable riding around on the bikes. Great team and highly recommended that everyone to take this course, even if you have past experience, new tips always help.

Fantastic experience: After passing the test on learning curves, I went from being a brand new M1 rider to a confident M2. I can say that the instructors Christina, John, and JP were all outstanding, all showed excellent communication and teaching skills in addition to sharing the satisfaction that comes from successfully completing an obstacle. I strongly recommend anyone who wishes to start riding, regardless of previous riding experience, to take this course since the instructors have a lot of knowledge to share on how to ride appropriately and safely so that you can have fun.

Fantastic experience: Wow!!! Amazing weekend with some amazing instructors and students. The instructors are as good looking as they are knowledgeable. Honestly though, they were very supportive and always made me feel welcome. They are always there to help and grow your strengths. Before this weekend, I never drove a bike. By the end of today, I was making sharp corners, doing emergency stops and stalling a lot less. Life saving skills. Highly recommend this course to anyone who ever had thar question, "is this year the year?" Just do it!!! You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Got my M1 this year at 43 years of age, never have been on a motorcycle in my life, well, not one that's running at least. Researched riding courses and through the recommendation of one of my wife's coworkers, I found Learning Curves. This past weekend, in an absurd amount of rain, we took to the course. It's 1 day classroom, 2 full days of riding, and so worth it. What you learn at Learning Curves is above ministry standards. They teach everyone as if you're Jon Snow and know nothing. Which is great, because when I went in, I knew very little. Now I'm a hearing impaired guy, and the instructors were amazing and made sure I understood each task and instruction. When I came across an issue, like constantly stalling the bike or making a wide turn, even shifting gears, they calmly walked me through how to improve. Big thanks to Peter, Eric, James, and the other instructor's who's name starts with an A but I can't for the life of me remember it. You 4 guys are awesome teachers and I'll be back for my M2 Exit Course.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience. Instructors were amazing; very knowledgeable and patient. You won't find any big egos here, just a team that wants you to succeed. If you are on the fence about doing the course, just do it. My only regret is waiting so long!

Positive experience: Great staff at the coarse, although it was raining all day we all students and teachers stuck though the bleak weather and got our goals accomplished Always words of encouragement and never negative comments from staff, These instructors gave words of advice on how to build on our skills we had, we all had a great time even though the weather threw a few flakes of snow on Sunday, Thanks again to my instructors

Fantastic experience: I just finished my m2 course this past weekend with Shane, Dan and Bernie. I have to say going into it with quite a bit of motocross experience, I didn’t think there was much to learn. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The drills I was put through, truly gave me the preparation I feel were a very necessary first step to get on the road. The teaching style was also incredible. All the instructors are very skilled and passionate about riding! When they have a tip for you, it’s definitely worth applying. Thanks for a great weekend! I’ll be seeing you for the M course in no time.

Negative experience: Due to a scheduling error on their part, I was unable to complete my M2 exit course after showing up and starting. Because of this my M1 is expired and I need to go do the test again and pay again. No concessions were made, just a refund. Should've already had an extra year of riding experience towards insurance for cheaper rates. Bad customer service. Instructors seem nice though.

Fantastic experience: The M2 course is well worth it and a bargain for what you actually get. 1 evening class and 2 solid days of riding. Pack your gear and snacks the night before because it's an early start. The instructors are very friendly, patient and knowledgeable and give 1:1 instruction if you need it. Throughout each day they set up exercises to build up each skill you need for the assessment. Ultimately you need to be able to start the bike, move forward in 1st, change to second, navigate some curves at speed then stop gracefully. At the end of the course they have 6 exercises to assess you, which will just be a repeat of everything you already did but timed. They also set up some more advanced exercises for the people who had more experience riding that weren't assessed. The bikes are good but have obviously been dropped a lot. They have some different sizes and choices so you can find one that works for you. Don't worry about dropping the bike, falling off, stalling – it's expected. You get to retake the assessment free of charge and can choose to defer it to another day if you don't feel ready. Everyone who chose to do it in my class passed. You also get a do-over for each assessment exercise if you completely mess it up. I had never even started a motorcycle before and I left with my M2. Good course.

Fantastic experience: I recently just done the coarse for my M2 and the experience was amazing. The instructors were very helpful and made everyone feel comfortable and confident. I personally really enjoyed the coarse and the instructors made it a fun learning experience. Highly recommend 11/10

These guys taught me all of stuff I thought I was okay at and helped me improve. Very patient with everyone throughout the entire course and will go an extra step to make sure your caught up

Fantastic experience: Awesome trainers with this course, very friendly and willing to help correct any bad riding habits prior to testing because we all know how easy it is to obtain them when you're not riding for a test. Staff is friendly and willing to help with no complaints. Highly recommend learning curves, all my riding buddies have got both M2 and full m license thru them! Shout out to John "smiles"

Fantastic experience: Completed my M1 Exit course this weekend in Hamilton with Shane, Delano and Glenn and couldn't be happier with my experience. These guys did a great job. Keeping it fun and educational the whole time. Never riding a day of my life, I was quite intimidated at first. However, by Sunday I could feel my confidence rising and that was because of those three guys. Thanks again

Fantastic experience: Honestly I couldn’t have imagined a better way to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Started the first day with no experience whatsoever and by the end of day two I was confidently riding, turning, stopping - everything. The instructors were great, supportive and helpful but gave you enough space to try and sort any problems out on your own first. The course was awesome, if you want to learn to ride I highly recommend learning curves. And if you’re as lucky as me you’ll get to meet Deste, Jesse, and Reid!

Fantastic experience: Just finished the learning curves m2 course over the weekend with one of my best buddies. Deste, Raj & Delano made the course an absolute joy for everyone (super friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all, approachable). We had riders varying in experience and age, as well as gender, and they made sure to assist everyone as much as necessary. You could see instructors taking extra time with riders who had less experience, while at the same time still giving friendly tips and knowledge to the more experienced riders. If I could give the course and instructors a review higher than 5 stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: I fully recommend this course to anyone who is looking to get there license. I have never rode a bike before and neither had many of the other students I was with but by the end we all knew how to ride with confidence. I have to thank Shane, Bernie and Daniel the were amazing patient, professional,knowledgeable and down to earth made learning fun. They are great at finding everyone’s weaknesses and provide personal instructions to help each student succeed. THANK YOU!!!!

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Shane, James (Buddy), James & Johnny our instructors for the Canada Day long weekend group. These gents made it safe, kept it professional and really fun. I'm an avid trail and dirt rider but if you are going to ride street you need this course.

Fantastic experience: Learning to ride a motorcycle had been on my bucket list for 24 years. Yesterday I crossed it off. I went from having zero riding experience to confidently riding along. The instructors were incredible and patient. Most of my class had more experience than me, but I never felt like I was being left behind. Each instructor took time with me to help me learn from my mistakes and get better with each run. I was one of only two women in my class and I'm fairly small. The instructors took care to make sure that I was on a bike that I could handle and that could handle me. I would hiiiiiiighly recommend Learning Curves to anyone that wants to learn to ride...so much the better if you learn at the experienced hands of Deste, James, and Dave! If they can make a rider out of me, they can make a rider out of anyone!
