Learning Curves - Training Site (Markham Honda)

Fantastic experience: Chris, Evan, and James were all awesome. Chris kept the mood light whilst still enforcing important safety rules, I felt confident and did well because of that. All in all, it was a great experience which I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had the luck to pick up two of the few remaining M2 training spots for the year, for me and my son. When making this step, there was not too much thinking, and getting the motorbike level was just because my kid was dreaming of this... It's been almost a week passed since the training, and I feel like I have some settled impressions to mark here, helping also to highlight the progress after the course... The training team was powerful: Lisa, Kristie and Coleman are all experienced motor bikers and they prooved that at over 100%. I trust that anybody would like to have them as instructors for all or lots of past trainings one passed through! Not only that these wonderful people applied a solid method of teaching, to bring you from ground level to the level of skill you need on the road, but their love for the sport as well as their dedication and respect for the audience, has charged the information in the course with something more powerful, that is sticking with brain and it's there when needed to correct yourself back on the road! I want to thank again our three instructors, Lisa, Kristie and Coleman, for the friendly approach of the student-teacher relationship as well as for their dedication, transparency and good humour! This helps absorbtion and built a very nice memory for the future. Also, I'd thank them for staying open for future questions that we might have, and thus for staying in touch with past students, which is a proof of great dedication and love for the community! They will stay in my mind (and soul) for long! At the end, a nice word about the campus we had the opportunity to train: Honda Canada is a huge place. We studied for a few hours inside, and I was impressed by the space and cleanliness. Outside, everything perfectly preserved. Security around gave me the confidence that no equipment is stolen if left behind in the breaks. The bikes we used for training were sponsored by Honda, and I really liked the CBs I used to ride on. Thank you Honda for the opportunity!

Negative experience: Bad experience with a bad instructor, because when he kenw which student don't know the rules he should make sure he could understand the errors after that take the exam. He filled me on the Full M in the Markham test Center, I recommend to you guys didn't get that point course, whit Mr. Tushar .... I have to waiting for next season for retest. I sorry for him.

Fantastic experience: I did my M2 course with Learning Curves in October 2024 with Chris, Evan and James. Course was structured perfectly. Each lesson is designed to increase your knowledge and comfort with a motorcycle little by little. Evan allowed me to borrow his gloves as I had bulky ones and showed me around his Harley. James gave me tips on starter bikes and gear. Both Evan and James patiently taught us and clearly told us the mistakes we were making when we struggled and how to fix them. They also emphasized getting out of your comfort zone and increasing your confidence maneuvering a motorcycle. At no point did Chris, Evan and James make me feel like I was a bother despite the many questions I asked. Overall I had a great experience with Learning Curves and I could not have asked for better instructors.

Fantastic experience: I attended learning curves on August 27,29-30 ant Markham at Markville mall and Goldie and Adrian were great at what they do. They taught the class perfectly and they were also very clear. Even though most people in the class has never rode a motorcycle before, everyone had it down and understood how to ride one at the end. The course was pretty pricey but I felt like I got my moneys worth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOLDIE AND ADRIAN

Fantastic experience: Learning Curves at the Markham Honda campus is an absolute gem of an motorcycle safety school for anyone looking to get their M2 license, and I can't sing enough praises for the incredible instructors—Don, Alex, and Chris. These guys aren’t just teaching you how to ride a motorcycle; they’re instilling a mindset of safety, awareness, and what it truly means to be part of the motorcycling community! The two-day course I completed on Aug 17-18th, 2024 was packed with exercises that were incredibly useful in helping me grasp the basics of motorcycle handling. While mastery obviously takes time, I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and dedication these instructors showed in addressing each student's strengths and weaknesses. Alex, with his stoic metaphors, had a way of making complex techniques resonate, especially when frustration set in. Chris delivered blunt yet crucial lessons on the realities of distracted drivers and the importance of defensive riding. And Don—oh, Don—his wisdom and patience were just unmatched. He had a knack for refining our maneuvers and correcting bad habits. For instance, I didn't even realize I was gearshifting the wrong way until Don pointed it out and talked me through what I needed to practice on before resuming the test exercises, and that was a game-changer that led to me eventually passing with nearly complete flying colours! If I were to suggest one area for improvement, it would be to allocate more time at the beginning for students to really understand the mechanics of gearshifting without the added pressure of pylons. I didn’t fully grasp what was needed until the last few hours before our test. But honestly, that’s a minor tweak in an otherwise stellar course! This location is fantastic for beginners aiming to get their M2, and I’m already looking forward to returning to Learning Curves for my M exit course in about 18 months! :)

Fantastic experience: I had a privilege to take my M2 safety course under the supervision of Alex, Chris, and Don. All of them are experienced instructors, super friendly, and easy to talk to. While emphasizing safety, they build confidence in naive riders, riding in challenging conditions. The classes were fun, and we had a great experience learning to be safe and enjoy riding. I highly recommend Learning Curves to everyone who'd like to take their M2 Safety course or who wants to learn riding motorcycles.

Fantastic experience: I took my M2 August 17-18. Thank you Chris, Alex and Dom for the extraordinarily great time I had learning how to ride a motorcycle and taking my M2 exam. Their personalities and different teaching styles complimented each other very well in which encouraged and gave me the confidence I needed. They emphasized safety and took extreme care in making sure we were learning in a safe environment. The way that they taught allowed me to gain a lot of insight of safe motorcycle culture and how to protect yourself and others on the street. Furthermore, they were all very patient and gave me extra help when I struggled in some areas of driving a motorcycle. I would absolutely recommend them for if you’re looking to take your M2 course. Thank you three all again and I hope to ride with you someday!

Fantastic experience: I did my M2 weekend course with Learning Curves Markham Honda. This was first time riding a motorcycle but our instructors Chris and Evan were phenomenal. They were patient and reinforce the idea of safely learning how to ride a motorcycle. 10/10 will recommend going with Learning Curves and especially with Chris and Evan at Markham Honda.

After completing the course they are willing to help you get started on biking and answer questions. Not only are they funny and encouraging, they make you feel welcomed into the biker community. Fantastic experience: I am incredibly impressed with how amazing the instructors are here, from the very beginning they made me feel at ease and made it very easy to ask for extra help/guidance when I got frustrated or upset. I unfortunately had a very early drop on Saturday and with my anxiety it really made it challenging to continue, but my instructors were so encouraging and kind and really knew how to help me even did what they could to accommodate me which ultimately aided in me improving so much that I passed. I can’t recommend these guys enough. If you can get Will.R or Chris.W as ur instructor..do it! Especially if you’ve never touched a bike. 20/10 recommend

Fantastic experience: I'll be honest, the m2 test was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, especially if you compare it to any class G driving test. Unfortunately, it was raining for 5 hours straight on the day of our test so the weather didn't do us any favors, especially after I slipped and went board-diving knees first into wet asphalt without any knee pads. I really can't emphasize enough how much the instructors helped me out and guided me into successfully completing the course, given my mishap. Chris, Prath, Evan and Don, thank you to these guys immensely for all of your help and support, I think this will go down as one of my biggest accomplishments in my life. I'm glad I stuck it through, made the accomplishment all the more meaningful.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Lots of bikes and super friendly instructors. Don, Lisa, and Chris all had very different personalities that complemented each other in an instructional capacity. I think they were able to accurately identify the skills of each rider very early on, and cater their instruction to each person individually as they saw fit. On the last day, I started having some trouble with a particular exercise. I started to get nervous and stressed out. As well, the bike I was on (XR150L) was having some carburetor tuning problems causing an especially high idle during the test practice session. Lisa and Don were super helpful in fixing the issue. The entire instructor team was also really supportive throughout the weekend and especially so just before the last break before the evaluation. Honestly, as we were lining up to do the actual test, I felt the lowest stress and the highest confidence in my own abilities that I had across the whole weekend, solely because of what Lisa, Don, and Chris said and did prior to the break and up to the test time. It was a phenomenal experience. I highly recommend Learning Curves for your M2 safety course. A sincere thank you to Lisa, Chris, and Don for the fantastic introduction to motorcycle riding.

Fantastic experience: I completed the course over the weekend and it was so much fun. I had no prior riding experience, but with help of the instructors I was able to feel comfortable operating and maneuvering the motorcycles(I tried all the different bikes they had there). Overall great atmosphere and amazing instructors. Shoutout to Lisa Gray, Don Ham, and Chris Weiler (They were very patient, encouraging, and made the course really fun).

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of doing my M2 Course at this location. I previously had never touched a motorcycle in my life and this course gave me the confidence I needed. The instructors made the classes interesting and fun. Not a lot of instructors can do that. 8 hour lessons flew by and they felt like minutes. The instructors were very friendly, clear and helped my class and myself thoroughly to gain the confidence we needed to ride. Most people in my class had passed their M2 on the second day of lessons. My training was done by Chris, Jack, Evan, and Prath. I wanted to also give a specific shoutout to the instructors: Chris and Jack. The class was split into two and they were the two that were mainly leading my half. They were both extremely supportive, cheered us on, and made sure to spend individual time with people to give them the help they needed. On the final day, the examination day, I was extremely anxious. Chris especially noticed this and made sure to talk to me, and guide me to give me the confidence I needed to pass. Would highly recommend to any new riders looking to do their M2.

Fantastic experience: I attended a course at Learning Curve over the weekend, spanning one night and two days, to obtain my M2 license. The instructors' exceptional effort, patience, kindness, and comprehensive teaching skills were instrumental in my success. The course covered a wide range of topics, including rules, insurance, traffic laws, and practical driving techniques, culminating in on-road practice. The weather conditions, characterized by strong winds, temperatures between 3 to 5 degrees, and continuous rain, posed a significant challenge April 13/ 14. However, the weather finally cleared up on the sunny Sunday afternoon of the exam. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my instructors, Christ, Alex, Harry, Evan, and Ankush, for their guidance and support. I highly recommend seeking out their expertise if you're interested in learning, practicing, and obtaining your license. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: This past weekend I completed the M1 Exit course to obtain my M2 license and had an incredible time. The weather was awful, but the trainers were amazing, patient, and kept everyone feeling positive and confident. Our entire class passed the exam, and it was an excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed a weekend of training for my M2 at Learning Curves. I brushed off some rust while having fun on the bikes that the institute provides. Highlight for me was the defensive riding part during the in-class session followed by a constant reminder throughout the weekend of how dangerous the road conditions are for motorcyclists in Toronto and the GTA. The instructors Chris and Evan really drove the message of what motorcyclists need to do to keep safe. Being someone who has been riding motorcycles for several years now it was good to be reminded of some basics by instructor Prath as well as affirmation of good riding by instructor Jack. All-in-all I felt the instructors at Learning Curves are really invested in the best interest of riders. They put in extra efforts to ensure that our entire class cleared and have the confidence to go out and be safe. Thank you and hope to see for my upgrade to M!

Fantastic experience: came to learning curves knowing NOTHING about motorcycles, except what I had read in the handbook and watched on YouTube. I struggled, there's no doubt about it. My 4 instructors Chris, Evan, Prath, and Jack at the Honda campus were all excellent. They made me feel calm and comfortable from the first 5 minutes of our in class session to our final class photo. Always taking the time to explain things, answer questions and help me through. The end of day 2 I was seriously struggling with one part and both Prath, and Chris took the extra time to try and help me make the turn. Even though we were already running late, and I was the I only one left trying to do it. I feel so confident in what I did learn, I know what I need to work on and am ready for more practice riding in the spring before I get on the busy roads.

Fantastic experience: My recent experience at Learning Curves - Honda Campus was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding instructors, Chris, Jak and Evan. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that their passion for bikes and teaching was infectious. They went above and beyond to ensure every participant felt comfortable and engaged throughout the training. Chris, Jak and Evan's deep knowledge of motorcycles and their genuine enthusiasm for sharing that knowledge made the learning experience both enjoyable and educational. They took the time to answer every question and provided practical insights that you won't find in a manual. What truly stood out was their patience and kindness. They understood that everyone had their own learning curve (pun intended!), and they tailored their teaching to accommodate each individual's needs. Whether you were a beginner or had some riding experience, they made sure you felt at ease and confident in your abilities. The Honda Campus itself is a fantastic facility. It boasts ample parking space, which is a huge plus. The great and quiet location adds to the overall positive experience. Combine these amenities with instructors like Chris , Jak and Evan, and you have a winning combination for an excellent learning environment. I left the Learning Curves - Honda Campus not only with improved riding skills but also with a newfound appreciation for motorcycles, all thanks to Chris, Jak and Evan. If you're considering motorcycle training, I wholeheartedly recommend this place, especially with these two phenomenal instructors!

Fantastic experience: An incredible experience! If you’re a beginner rider, Learning Curves is where you need to go. If you’ve never ridden a motorcycle (like me), I highly recommend signing up for their M1 Exit. We were at the Honda Campus in Markham. Ample parking, great facility for the in class, and easy to get to with a vehicle. Chris and Evan, our instructors, were absolutely amazing! They obviously have a passion for riding; but also a passion for helping you achieve your goals as a rider. They understand that you’ll make mistakes, and offer an incredibly safe and inclusive learning experience. They explain your mistakes, how to fix them, and what your focus needs to be, with a smile! I had an amazing weekend and I hope others will be just as lucky to have them as instructors. Ride safe :)

Fantastic experience: I went from barely being able to ride a bike to being able to ride a motorcycle, with confidence, in just 2 days! It seemed like a daunting task at first, however with help from Heath, Carson and Harshil, progress was quick and enjoyable. The instruction was clear, understandable, driven from years of experience and focused on both the M2 test and real world scenarios to train riders for the real roads. The class proceeded at a very good pace and any time I had a problem or could not master a maneuver, one of the instructors would always give me one on one time to help me improve. I was amazed to see how much I had progressed in my two day course and passed the M2 at the end of day 2. Had an amazing experience and would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about this group of instructors! Goldie, Adrian, Jeff, Ronin and Yari. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable, they enjoy what they do and they care about the connections they make with their students. The information and content is delivered with humour but also with seriousness when it was safety critical. Great group! Made me feel comfortable and gave me confidence. Me and my son are DEFINITELY going to do our M with these folks!

Fantastic experience: I initially intended to book at the Etobicoke location. However, this company stays booked and busy, for good reasons. It all worked out perfectly, Goldie, Adrian, Bob and Ronin were the best! I learned a great deal, I was nervous in the beginning but they were encouraging and provided guidance every step of the way. I am very excited to start riding and confident on perfecting the skills I learned. They left communication open if we ever had any questions in the future. That was the cherry on top! I’ll be retuning for my M. 110% would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Learning curves is definitely the way to go for anyone looking to get their m2 or even M in my opinion. I took the M2 course and went into it thinking I would embarrass myself because it didn’t know how to ride, but the instructors are great and taught me how to control the bike instead of the bike controlling me. If you are scared to fall, don’t be, I did and all the students and instructors were kind and supportive about it, please if you are new don’t let the learning process scare you away from riding. I had Adrian, Ronin, Goldie and Bob as my instructors, they were not only great at being an instructor but they made it so much more fun and inclusive than I imagined. By the end of the course I had made new friends, learned how to ride with confidence, I passed the M2 test, and had the most fun.

Fantastic experience: There is no other way anyone should learn to ride but with this class. The trainers here are informative, knowledgable, perceptive, supportive, patient, and caring. The in-class session provides road tips to ensure your safety and a great way to meet peers and make connections with other soon-to-be riders as well. For how dry the content COULD be, they do a good job making it engaging and easily understood. For the hands-on portion of the course, my trainers were Chris and Evan; I honestly couldn't of had better teachers! They make everything easily digestible and approachable - getting you onto the bikes with confidence regardless of your experience level or in my case - lack there of! I appreciate the curated guidance and tips they provided me when I was having trouble in execution. They boost your confidence with positivity and knowledge. You are not left alone or behind, their passion to educate and teach will take away any hesitation you have towards riding. I am so thankful that I came, and I cannot recommend them enough! End of the weekend, our entire class of 9 passed and received our M2's. Congratulations everyone!

Fantastic experience: I really had great experience learning how to ride a bike with Learning curves,Thanks to Adrian and Goldie, they made everything easy and super fun while ensuring the safety of all students! I was very scared and had zero confidence but through their help, motivation, and patience not only I overcome my fear of riding, I am now very excited and can't wait to practice more on my own. Chris, Coleman, Harrison, Lisa and Vivian were all very enthusiastic and passionate about the art of riding and motorcycles. Always bringing in smiles and had ample amount of patience. They gave tremendous amount of knowledge and feedback to each and everyone despite the size of our class. I couldn't imagine anyone riding before taking their courses. She makes sure that no question is a dumb question to ask and ensures a solid answer every time. Her teaching is incredible and she makes it super fun. This girl needs a serious promotion! Fantastic experience: I completed the M2 course weekend of May 6 with Adrian, Jordan and Ronin. Pros: -Adrian is a very knowlegable instructor and made the whole learning experience very smooth -Jordan and Ronin were great too and approachable -Overall the course was well instructed, and there was a good level of team work amongst the trainers -Adrian made the experience well worth the fees Cons: -The inclass was on Thursday, which gave me only one day to prepare gear for Saturday (if this was spaced out a bit that would be great)

Fantastic experience: I am very happy to say that I was fortunate to complete the course at Honda Blvd in Markham. My instructors were Chris T, Chris W and Jak and they really built my confidence getting back on the bike like no other. The tips they gave with regards to covering the clutch, finding the friction zone, emergency braking etc. and constant practice were perfect for me. As a result, I rode for the first time in 2.5 decades. The bike I rode was a 2015 Triumph Thunderbird which is more than I could initially handle as I am vertically challenged :). My first ride was all the way from Brampton to Pickering via Steeles Avenue in rush hour and I can safely say I wouldn't have been able to do it without the training I received from them over the weekend. My eternal thanks to the entire team at Learning Curves. This is a course I would recommend for anyone wanting to brush up on their riding skills even if they have prior experience or an M2. An amazing experience all in all, thanks once again.

Fantastic experience: Last week I completed my M2 training course. My teachers were Adrian and Goldie, I couldn’t be happier with how it went. They were both so helpful and thorough with explaining each activity. I appreciate both Adrian’s and Goldie’s patience throughout the whole course. They always asked if we had any questions and Adrian always had an answer. Adrian is very motivating and caring, I wish all teachers would have those exact qualities. I am very grateful I was able to get my M2 with them, I truly learned a lot from the day in class and the 2 days practicing on the bikes. I am definitely going to be back to get my full M. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their M2 as well!

Fantastic experience: Great learning experience! My instructors (Carson, Kristy, and Coleman) were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the sport. There was a wide selection of bikes to practice on (pictured is a CBR300R I got to ride). And despite the poor weather, everyone in my class had a great time and went on to pass the M2 test. Fantastic experience: I ended up with Adrian and Will as my instructors for a 3-day (1 in classroom and 2 on the road) motorcycle class and couldn't have been happier. Adrian was extremely well coordinated, attentive and hyper-focused on ensuring each student received sufficient attention. He gave us enough rope to learn, but did so in a manner that maintained safety at all times. Will was a blast to learn from. His light hearted way of teaching you the basics of motorcycle safety, best practices and riding made the weekend extremely enjoyable and made Will extremely approachable. I highly suggest this course for anyone wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle or firm up their riding skills and safety

Positive experience: Class is fine for beginners but boring if you have experience. I questioned them multiple times on if there suggestions were the ‘safest’ and got all three instructors glaring at me saying that is was (most definitely was not). They also have a “do as I say and not as I do” policy. As the instructors would have the bikes horizontal on corners, scrapping the underside and locking up the rear tires for ‘fun’ while the class was on break. Three stars given because they are cool guys and do have some expertise. Fine for beginners

Fantastic experience: Completed the M course with Goldie in an intimate group of 5 riders. Appreciated the attention to detail and thoroughness from Goldie as I felt prepared moving into the test. All in all, a great experience and would definitely recommend to new and experienced riders.

They were able to get riders of all skill levels feeling comfortable on the bikes, and gave other activities to keep people with more experience, or people who were picking up the skills more quickly engaged. Fantastic experience: Tushar, Jack and Kristie were extremely knowledgeable, skilled and supportive instructors. Day 1 riding day was the first time I've ever touched a motorcycle, and on Day 2 not only did I learn how to ride, but I passed my M2 test as well. Since I had no experience prior, I really didn't think I would be able to learn everything. In fact, I was mentally prepared to fall off the bike or hurt myself in the process. Luckily, none of that happened and we had lots of time to practice on the bike. This was really all thanks to the amazing instructors who not only made the whole process extremely safe and fun, but also made riding on a motorcycle incredibly easy to learn. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to get their M2 license. I think the price is completely worth it and the rating on google is well deserved!

I can say without a doubt that Al's instruction and approach to teaching has made me a waaayyyy better rider and I encourage anyone looking to take there M2 exit to ask for him! I attended my course with Tushar, Vivian, Lisa and Jack and all are so friendly eager to teach you. There are quite variety of motorbikes to choose what fits you. Fantastic experience: I am a 16 year old teenager and was referred to learning curves from my good friend Connor, Goldie and Alie were my instructors. All I can say is both were such amazing and kind instructors. They went above and beyond with the amount of information they taught me and my fellow classmates. They had us practice exercises with the motorcycles that were included in the test without us knowing. So when we started practising the test everyone was surprised of how easy the test is than the exercises we have completed. After a bit more practise we started the test. Once the test was over everybody did well! We all were surprised of how great our performance was on motorcycles thanks to the instructors! At the end of the course when it was time for everybody to leave the instructors talked about risks on motorcycles and how to overcome them and ride safely when on the road. Somebody give these instructors a raise! Top notch teaching!

Fantastic experience: I did my M2 here and had a fantastic experience. So when the time came, I did not hesitate to sign up for my M. My M instructor Al, was amazing! He Made the whole experience basically like a morning ride with some friends while learning a lot! Highly recommended for anyone looking to take up riding or anyone looking for a refresher course!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my M2 Exit with Goldie over the weekend and I loved it! The in class was informative and she made it fun for everyone to follow and understand. On Sunday for the road session, she pinpointed the strength and weakness of each rider and what we needed to work on. I like how she would ask us as well what we thought of eachother’s riding so that we can learn from one another. Another reason why I loved having Goldie was because she would always and never have an issue going one step further if we didn’t understand. She isn’t the type of instructor who would be like do this do that without explaining why it should be done that way. Goldie truly is passionate about what she does and you can tell she sincerely cares about the safety of her students, not only during the course, but for future too when we’re on the road.
