Safelane Fire Truck Driver Training

Fantastic experience: Huge shout out to Safelane. I’m so grateful for my instructor Chris ! His attention to detail, his deep knowledge of the road, and the pride he takes in both his teaching and his students’ progress made a lasting impression on me. Every lesson was thoughtfully tailored for me. I felt supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. Chris was incredibly patient, clear, and calm-qualities that set the tone for a positive learning environment. The reputation of his school and it’s unique design speak for itself, and I feel lucky to have learned from someone so dedicated and professional.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place to earn your DZ license! The truck you train on is top of the line, and you learn about much more than just the bare minimum to pass your road test. lessons allow you to practice on the actual road test course, and focus on areas of study that are often overlooked. Years of improvements are evident in the training content. Much faster than other schools, and the Instructor and owner (Chris Lane) is an experienced firefighter and is always willing to go the extra mile to support his students. The mock firehall you operate from is super cool too!!! Definitely recommend Safelane Fire Truck Training!

Fantastic experience: If anyone is looking to get their DZ license, I highly recommend Safe Lane. Chris(instructor and owner) equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the DZ test with flying colours. As long as you, the individual listens to Chris’s instructions and do your due diligence to come prepared and practice it is a great time. Not to mention the people Safe Lane attracts are friendly and great to talk to/learn with. The facility and apparatus he has, you will not be disappointed. I will be strongly advising anyone I come by looking to obtain their license, that Safe Lane is the best option as his stats reflect this.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this driving school for DZ driver's license! I can tell Chris has spent countless hours refining this school. The presentations were well-planned, demonstrations were clear and concise and the feedback during my driving lessons (sometimes humbling) motivated me to study more and show up better prepared. Negative experience: The teacher has a horrible attitude. He gets angry if you ask him a question. Horrible learning experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience at this driving school. The lessons were organized and efficient. The compact nature of this course may seem stressful at first but if you follow the handouts from the instructor, and you come to class prepared (like you should!) it's no problem. Chris is a great instructor and he wants you to succeed. He will tell you where you are lacking, but don't take offence, he just wants you to improve and feel confident on the road. Any questions I had were answered with a well thought-out response and a thorough reasoning for "why", which allowed deeper understanding in the course material. I recommend this course to anyone pursuing Firefighting and wants hands on experience with fire trucks.

Fantastic experience: Attending in class training during an ongoing pandemic is not an ideal situation for anyone, but Chris and his team at Safelane made the in class session, and in truck training feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire process. More notably, Chris' DZ course fully prepared me for what to expect for my road test. The in truck practice sessions were efficient and informative. Chris was able to narrow down areas of improvement to make the most the two sessions. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get their DZ license, specifically those seeking a career in the fire department. I mean, you get you drive a firetruck!
