Fantastic experience: As a new driver in my 40s who is no longer as quick to learn new skills as people in their 20s, I found Shirley's professionalism, high standards, and empathy invaluable in helping me successfully navigate the Class 7 road test. One attempt. I was first attracted by the practicality of Drive Treck's GLP program structure. I did my homework by reviewing the websites of almost all the GLP programs in Metro Vancouver and contacting their representatives for details. ICBC mandates that GLP programs include a mix of in-car practice and theory classes with a minimum number of total hours. Most GLP providers maximize theory hours and minimize in-car practice, likely to reduce instructors’ workload (the package price is fixed). In contrast, DriveTreck emphasizes in-car practice, which I believe shows the school’s commitment to preparing students for real-world driving. That’s why I chose Drive Treck after my research. After I started my lessons with Shirley, I discovered even more important merits worth highlighting. Shirley impressed me with her professionalism. She is extremely knowledgeable about what matters most to new drivers and what ICBC examiners look for. With her guidance, I was always confident that I was learning the best practices. In fact, the key points she emphasized during my final lessons were exactly the same as those mentioned by the examiner for future improvement. She also holds very high standards and consistently pushed me to sharpen my skills. She was strict and never compromised on her expectations. Without that push, I wouldn’t have been able to meet the standards — especially since I was progressing a bit slower than younger learners. Shirley is also deeply empathetic. She was as nervous as I was before the test and just as joyful when I passed. When I had a few skills that needed polishing right before the test, she gave up her weekend family time to offer me extra lessons. In addition to road test preparation, I also took extra lessons with Shirley to drive around other areas of Metro Vancouver. She genuinely cares about her students’ ability to drive confidently in real-life situations. In a nutshell, my experience with DriveTreck and Shirley was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends in need.

I was able to drive confidently after 7 classes in two weeks. Always able to explain traffic rules very well and provide driving tips that may help. Very professional. Mock tests were very effective. Fantastic experience: Helped me pass my license in one go, really amazing and patient instructor. They know all the updated routes that the exams take place in, which made my test super easy and familiar.
