Savvy Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Our 16 year old son took this course. Darryl was a good instructor and very accommodating to work out drive times. Our son did his last drive practice and the next day passed his G2. Thank you Savvy Driving School.
Thank you for the kind review. We enjoyed teaching your son very much.
Fantastic experience: Response to landlord from location fled on midnight run. Please ensure all facts are correct as not telling the whole story is slander. Please ensure u understand the total situation. And please have facts to back up your allegations.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience in class and the car. They care about what they're teaching.
Fantastic experience: I got my G2 earlier today thanks to Gaylynn, she is a wonderful driving instructor! I’ve always felt comfortable driving on the road with her and have learnt a lot. Talking with her was always interesting, never a dull moment. I highly recommend Savvy Driving to make you as confident of a driver as they have made me.
Fantastic experience: Finished my hours in a timely manner, very friendly, and passed my G2 first try!
Negative experience: Update: if you leave them a bad review theyll message you on Facebook about how you publicly accused them of being unprofessional. --- Good luck getting your driving hours in. Dealt with savvy a few years ago and tried to get in contact with them for months to get my driving hours in. I had to get wendys cell number from a friend and finally got an answer. Friends of mine never finished their driving hours cause they'd never respond and by the looks of things.. it hasn't changed.
Negative experience: Highly would recommend people to go else where instead of having your time and money wasted here! I did their drivers Ed a few years ago and not only did I have to fight to try and get my last 2 hours in Gaylynn canceled on me twice in a row once with short notice and once by not even showing up or letting me know. On top of that during one of my in car sessions she got me to drive to where her daughter lived so she could stop by for a visit… in the end I never got my last to hours finished and never heard back from her! So unprofessional if you ask me!
Fantastic experience: Very good place to do drivers Ed. Gaelyn and Darrel were very nice and easy to work with. They were always positive and able to work around my busy schedule to get my in car hours done a very reasonable time frame. 10/10 recommended
Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional place to take your teens to learn how to drive, I feel so sorry my son had it to attend to the boring personal chats about the female instructor's life. So sorry to hear her sad stories but my son is no counsellor, nothing was taught for him to get his G1 and then when I spoke to the instructor she made a big scene and requested the other students to back her up, after words I heard from the same students what she said after I left. So far I was taken for my money and I couldn't even get a call back after leaving around 20 messages because I needed to plan my son's lessons with his part time visits at my place. Please do your research because this woman even she is inside won't bother opening the door. Bad, bad, bad that people just care about getting money without working.
Dear Rosalva Clubine. You may believe that the customer is always right but I must inform you that in this case you are mistaken. You showed up at our office door while our class was in session. Contrary to what you said " she is inside and won`t open the door " you came on the last day of class with a torn up homework book demanding your money back because your son hadn`t learned anything. You told us that your son went to another driving school with a friend and had learned more in 10 minutes than what he learned at our school in 3 days. Your son later said that he had never gone to another school. ? You were invited into our class and you witnessed that all the other students had knowledge of everything that they had been taught to that date. The only "big scene" created was by you and only you. Disrupting a class in session was rude and disrespectful. Your claim that we " just care about getting money without working " is insulting. Not only did we offer your money back but you obviously have never taken the time to see our cars on the road 7 days a week. So when you left the class all our students commented that your son was trying to sleep during the lessons. I`m sorry that you felt the need to give us a poor rating because your son was lacking sleep and didn`t like the personal stories. Nobody ever said that the rules of the road and safe defensive driving practices are exciting. Your son is going to be driving a lethal weapon down the road, a ton of dynamite. Driving is a privilege, not a right. It would be nice if he had paid a little more attention , which showed later when he did his in class test . We are giving him the tools in the class and in the car so he can prove to an examiner that he is a safe and confident driver. Please tell us what you learned in Drivers Ed when you took it? We checked our phone records, you called FOUR times NOT TWENTY. We did call back and leave messages. If we are so bad why did your son come back to class and purchase a new workbook? I am in full agreement with you about doing research. Your son admitted that he had his eyes closed in class and "was listening." I think you really need to reconsider who should be rated here.
Negative experience: My wife tried to contact them multiple times for a refresher left a few messages they have not returned any calls in the last 2 weeks
Our apologies to you and your wife Michael. We are on the road seven days a week looking after our students who have taken our course. Unfortunately it leaves us very little or no time at all to do extra refresher work and make calls late at night when we get home. We do our best.
Negative experience: My stepson started this course last July in Hanover and has been having terrible issues getting the driving time in. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
Dear Sherry. We would be more than happy to show you a record of all our conversations with your step son. While it is easy to point a finger, judge and condemn us there are two sides to every story. We have had your step son booked many times but he has had to cancel due to work, hockey, family functions ( a change in Christmas plans ) or going out of town. Some of these were last minute cancellations which other driving schools would charge for, we did not. Perhaps you are unaware of all the times we have offered him times to drive. We do our very best to work with all our students schedules by keeping our cars on the road seven days a week . Please don`t accuse us of being unprofessional without knowing the facts. We go above and beyond to help our students.
Fantastic experience: I hired Savvy driving school to get me brushed up before my G1 exit test so I could obtain my G2. The driver took into consideration the areas where I wanted to learn (in Kincardine) and made me very familiar with the test itself and I passed on my first try. The driving instructor Gaylynn was very personable and made me feel very comfortable and taught me everything I asked of her. I would recommend her. Also, the vehicle was compact and was leant to me for my test as well.
