Negative experience: Would not recommend. Took them cause they were advertised at my high school years ago now and never got my certificate from the course and had to use another company to even book my road test. Do not recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I contacted JMS after a bad experience with another school. Steve put me in contact with Ted who helped me start again from scratch and today, I passed! Thank you Steve for being so accommodating, and thank you Ted for being the best instructor that is! In short, Thank you so much, JMS! Best driving school in HRM!!!

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test on the first try thanks to this driving school!!! The class is available online, which was great because I was able to do it on my own time, and it was so easy to schedule the driver training. Chris & Ted were my instructors and they were amazing, they were kind, easy to talk to, and very helpful in learning how to drive properly.

Fantastic experience: Wyne was my instructor and we killed it!! He knows exactly what needs to be done and how it should be done!! I am grateful to JMS driving school

Fantastic experience: I just had a driver evaluation done NSHA to acquire hand controls for driving. I have Multiple Sclerosis. WOW!!!! Stephen was amazing!!! I was nervous and even a bit scared when we got to the parking lot and he said "your turn". As I started to drive with the hand controls Stephen made me feel at ease and kept reassuring me. I also had two occupational therapist with me ... no stress at all :). Well it was a blast, we told stories, I was given constructive criticism and even relaxed enough to laugh. Would highly recommend Stephen to anyone who is navigating the next stage of driving.

Negative experience: Nice and entertaining instructors, but good luck getting road practice. Gives you less than 24hrs notice for road practice and trying to coordinate times/dates with him is like pulling teeth. Unless you're his friend, family, or family of one of his friends you won't be getting much practice in. Spend a few more dollars and go choose a reliable company.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this driving company. Great communication, drivers are friendly and helpful. Hands down this is the best to do your classroom and driving with!!!

Fantastic experience: JMS was able to book some of my in car sessions whether it was a couple days or a couple weeks in advance. All the people who did the in car session were very nice and gave lots of feedback. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a driving school in Halifax.

Negative experience: I requested an hour of driving lessons, but was told the first lesson had to be two hours. So I paid $100 for 2 hours. The appointment was booked for two days later, but the night before, it was rescheduled for later in the day. The first instructor was calm and competent, but stopped after 1 hour, which left me hanging for another appointment. When I tried to get a second lesson, I was promised an appointment for the next day, but it didn't happen until the following afternoon, at a time I told him I was unavailable. During the second lesson, the instructor did nothing but confuse me while I was trying to drive. I appreciate an occasional correction to guide me, but I was trying to practice the timing of my stops and turns, and all his interruptions prevented me from learning anything, and distracted me from safe driving.

Fantastic experience: This has to be handsdown the best driving academy im dartmouth. Cheapest and most entertaining, I passed my road test today first try after going through this company. Highly recommend , he makes his classroom work enjoyable throwing some comedy in it. And his instructors are just AS hilarious ... wonderful experience

Fantastic experience: I needed to exchange my Russian driver's license and had a few driving lessons with Steve and Wane before taking the road test. The guys were really helpful and friendly. They explained to me everything I needed to know and the test did not seem that hard. We covered all the test routes and I past first try! I really liked the car (KIA), it was good, nice and easy to drive. Thank you!

Negative experience: The people are nice and all but very unreliable. They cancelled on me more times than I actually had driving sessions. Even though they knew my road test was scheduled for Thursday, they cancelled on me Monday and never responded to my calls to book more time. I failed my test. I regret choosing this school.
