Fantastic experience: Being that we are purchasing an Air Brake enabled RV, we needed to get our Air Brakes endorsement and we were referred to MTI by another past student. First eight hours was theory with the instructor (Patrick) was great. Very easy to learn the theory including the use of the custom air board which showed each component with them actually working so you could see why the Air Brake component was needed and the benefit. The following day was four hours theory with John (MTI owner) whose experience and ease of understanding exactly how the theory applied in a real scenarios. The theory had 20 students but the practical was only five students for each group allowing everyone to be able to observe each students practical sessions with the final testing be not only about retention but also included questions on how it would apply and why it was needed. While our RV will only be towing an electric brake trailer and that with the RV (Prévost) some of the tasks in pre-trip and post-trip would not apply, John took the time after the class to provide us with resources and advice on what Prevost’s specifically pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as referring us to very experienced Prévost mechanical shop as this is required as part of the on-going maintenance and inspection. Highly recommend MTI for not only Air Brakes but in reviewing the comment board we saw that they have very high reviewed from past student of the Class 1, 2 and 4 classes.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get out Air Brakes Endorsement to allow use of our Prevost RV. I was referred to MTI and I can understand why! My course consisted of 8 hours of theory and 4 hours of practical. With the theory, the instructor was Patrick who knowledge is vast, with his teaching ability being both informative yet personable. With the practical, the instructor was John (who is the owner of MTI). Not only were we shown the practical pre-trip we were shown the benefits as well as full explanation and John is again very informative yet personable. I strongly suggest that you consider using MTI as not only are the instructors top notch but the location in Castlegar allows drivers to be to be challenged with professional guidance the two mountain passes which border Castlegar.

Fantastic experience: Better Late than Never... MTI provided me with all the tools I needed when I started my trucking career in Canada. The Class 1 training I received kept not only me safe on the roads but also every single person sharing the roads with me daily. From the ice roads of Northern Manitoba to the deserts of Nevada, 13 years later, I’m still accident-free, enjoying a vibrant trucking career to the point that I'm now teaching new drivers these same basis skills MTI tough me. A Huge Thanks to Andy and the trainers at MTI. I attended MTI with 8 other Jamaicans and we were treated like family. I remember Andy giving the group of us his Little honda Odyssey for the entire month to share so we could all get school and explore the town while we studied. We are all successful drivers,trucking company owners, and owner perators all over Canada, thanks to MTI and the staff. Words will never be enough to express how much you all changed my life. Negative experience: Really i dont know many time i sent mail for admission am not even got a single reply from MTI,feel deplorable and dissappointing.if anybody see this comments kikdly reply if possible..and may i know when will be approximate time for start international driver training program

Fantastic experience: The quality of service we recieved was outstanding. Our daughter was eager to get her N so booked her road test as early as she could. With the help from two fantastic ladies that in our opinion went over and above to help our daughter feel like she was prepared and ready for her exam. I'm happy to report she had a great road test and recieved her much anticipated N . Huge shout out to Mary Kay and Amanda your kindness did not go unnoticed , thank you for all you did for us !!

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience with Amanda! She was very sweet and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend her for anyone learning to drive She made it fun and a comfortable environment!

Negative experience: My first interaction at MTI I observed the front desk clerk to be extremely rude, disrespectful, short mannered and abrupt when asked information by a man of colour. My second interaction on the same day a few hours later i observed the same tone of manner towards a group of coloured students from the owner of the school (Andy). I felt ashamed and embarrassed seeing the owner and staff of this establishment treating these foreign individuals in such a manner.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 weeks leading up to my class 7 drivers test. I am a very nervous driver. The two instructors that I drove with were gentle and very informative. They helped me feel more confident. Thanks MTI best driving school in Castlegar!!!

Fantastic experience: I got my Mountain training from this school. If I know before I should've got my Class 1 License training from here. I saw how they teach students there and it's how everybody should get their training for Class 1 to become real professional driver.

Fantastic experience: Without the education I obtained in this school I could have never become the Red Seal Journeyman Crane operator that I am today. Of course a lot of personal drive was involved and how I got here is an eight year story, but suffice it to say the training you get from this school can be the gateway to the life of your dreams. I'm not exaggerating. I'll be going on my sixth cruise in October. This time for 24 days from Seatle to Australia. Every other cruise I did was a week or less in the Caribbean. A great spouse is integral of course but trust me you don't want to waste your time with a mediocre driving course it'll end up costing you years of wasted time trying to get to a decent paying position. I was easily funded by EI for this course and I've never had a need for EI since. A great investment on their part and mine.
