Rocky View Driving School

Negative experience: DO NOT USE! Took 6 months to get 10 hrs of lessons in and certification. Forever to respond to emails, cancelled his lesson right before his exam and took a month to rebook (me emailing them), then a month for completion info. Many other good schools out there to support without the headache. The actual driving instructor was good though!

Negative experience: Driver was accommodating for pickup location to work with school schedule and helpful during lessons…. That’s the only Pro But let’s face it, we sign up for the education and the insurance break. Obtaining the certificate required for the insurance costs to take affect was a ridiculously painful experience. After 8 emails, multiple voicemails, threatening to show up during one of their class sessions and reaching out to the BBB, we finally got our certificate

Negative experience: Horrible communication. You have to leave a voicemail to talk to someone. They told me that they were sending my daughters certificate last week and still havent gotten it.

Fantastic experience: Thank you Ali and staff at Rockyview Driving School. Excellent in car knowledge and expertise. My son felt very confident when it came time to do his road test and passed on his first attempt. Ali came into work on his day off with the driving school car so that my son could use the car he had been practicing in for the test. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: First I want to thank you Naz for her patience and commitment to me and other students, because she was so flexible with my tight work schedule. She was so kind and available everytime I need her. For my instructor, Ali, he is the best and most professional instructor I have ever seen. He was so punctual and knowledgeable because everything he taught me for the road test class 5 during my classes was useful and without Ali's help I couldn't pass the test. Fantastic experience: This company came highly recommended by a family of four and another family of 2, that have used them for all their kids. Fantastic website, great customer service, and the driving instructor, Ali is amazing!!! Our son is a farm kid and was very nervous driving in the city. After the first lesson, he was so much more confident and relaxed. Ali, the driving instructor instantly puts the kids at easy, is friendly. He immediately took the fear out of learning/driving in the city and made the experience fun. We are very grateful for the calm, kindness, professionalism, and confidence given! Very impressed with the entire team. So kind, friendly. A rare find these days!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Ali was knowledgeable, professional and very patient. I had few scheduling problems but was quickly resolved thru email, I also left a voice message and was called back quickly. Our in-class instructor Nelson was also very knowledgeable. He made sure we understood the lessons by simplifying the explanation.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend, especially for new drivers or those just in need of a little more practice. The instructor is great at making you feel at ease and lessening any nerves you may have. Fantastic experience: My daughter recently took courses with this driving school in April/May. Her driver instructor was Ali. He was excellent. My daughter felt very comfortable right away. I noticed a huge confidence in her after her courses were done. She passed her driving test on the first try. Thank you so much Ali for taking the time out to Teach my daughter. Fantastic experience: We first enrolled our daughter with RVDS 2 years ago. She had a great instructor back then, so when it came time to enrol our son, we came back again without hesitation! My son had the same instructor as my daughter for his last 2 lessons. His name is Ali. Both my kids have nothing but great things to say about him. He connected with them, made them feel comfortable and confident and gave them great tips and feedback. Thank you Ali!

Fantastic experience: I was able to attain my class 5 B license on my first try because of my experience with this school. Naveen is a fantastic instructor and is very sweet. The in-class portion is boring, but memorable, and the tips given were helpful when I took my exam. My training was done on an Elantra, very clean and in great condition. It was different to park than the car I drive, but I got a lot of great training and gained a lot of confidence in driving because of this. I came into this course without any knowledge of driving, and I was, frankly, terrified. However, this course helped me overcome that. I would recommend highly!

Fantastic experience: Rockyview Driving School is fantastic! My son and daughter both learned to drive with Ali from Rockyview, and they were both well prepared and learned a lot in both the in car as well as online sessions. We highly recommend RDS - super easy to deal with and book sessions, and the preparation for driving can't be beat.

Negative experience: Driving instructor was great, very professional and friendly. My daughter has had one outstanding driving lesson since December 2019 and we haven't been able to get a hold of anyone (she's since passed her drivers test). For the last three days, I've been calling and leaving 2 voicemails per day. I went to the address noted on the website this afternoon and the office does not exist. None of the other tenants in the building have heard of Rocky View Driving School. We are trying to complete the last lesson that will allow my daughter to get her Certificate of Completion. The certificate is necessary for insurance rebates. A little frustrated!

Fantastic experience: This school is amazing. I highly recommend it for anyone. The schools is very efficient and they answered all my questions very fast. My driving instructor Mrs. Ner was very patient and understanding, she is the best teacher you can have. Definitely ask for her if you are taking any course with them.

Fantastic experience: The instructors here are excellent. Everything I needed to know for the road test was taught, and if there was anything that I struggled with, they put extra effort into teaching it to me. They even helped with things that wouldn't be on the test but I would use in normal day to day scenarios, like parking in parking lot stalls. I am a naturally nervous person but they were always very calm and super friendly which helped me to relax so I wasn't all uptight while driving. They work around your schedule as well when booking classes, and it's very easy to change dates if need be. They reply quite quickly by email and phone, and I've even just texted them for a reschedule. The cars are in good condition and very nice to drive. I passed my road test on the first try with only one mistake (speeding by 5km lol), which I was really surprised about, but I owe it completely to the instructors at this driving school, Amin and Ali. I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: My son had an excellent experience with his brush-up driving course with Ali and the Rockyview Driving School. Ali drove the test route with my son, went over specific details to make note of, and helped him with local hurdles like merging in and out of the Registry lot in Airdrie. He passed his test on the first try! I 100% recommended Rocky View Driving School and Ali. We also appreciate that they worked us into their schedule with only a few days notice. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: When I did my driving classes with this school, they made me very comfortable and gave me confidence. They were so patient with me and thought me everything I need to know to pass my driving test! I had the best experience driving with my Instructor. Definitely will recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. My daughter took their program and I was very impressed with the way in which they conduct their business. The classes were professional and the instructors very helpful to her. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time there. My husband and myself taught our daughter driving for the most part and decided to get her this course to help with insurance costs but we were glad we did because she learned a lot of important information that my husband and I had forgotten about, or weren’t sure about, so her taking the course even helped us with a refresher! Very professional and honest business, you can be sure taking the course for your child or yourself will be a good decision.

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school! My instructor was clear to understand and patient. The process was super easy and quick, as I was able to complete my classes along with the road test in about a month. I would recommend this school to anyone who wishes to take driving lessons. Negative experience: Very unprofessional! Instructor was late for my first lesson and then cut it short by an hour. Weren’t very open to changing lesson timings. Not very well prepared for the in class sessions. Couldn’t answer most of my questions during the lessons. Car always smelled and it was so dirty. Instructor took 15 mins smoking breaks. If I could go back and book with Derek browns I would. I do not recommend this place at all.
