Western Driving Academy

Positive experience: I took the online lessons, which was 20 hours of lecture and 10 hours of homelinks (basically interactive online activities). I would reccommend doing lessons in person if you don't have a lot of self discipline, because I dragged these lessons out for months because I was being "lazy". I had Usman Hayee as my in-car driving instructor. I started with no driving experience, so I was incredibly nervous, but I passed my G2 on my first try! I did the initial 10 hours, and then I booked an extra hour + I practiced with him for 2.5 hours before the test. He is strict, which was discouraging for me because I get anxious easily, but if you get confused and ask him what exactly you are doing wrong, he is always willing to point it out. He has methods for how to do every part of the G2 skills required, which is much more helpful than saying "you just have to feel it" (which my parents said LOL). I was intimidated at first, but I don't think i would have passed so easily without him. He is extremely competent, and I am very grateful!

Negative experience: Not happy with our instruction. He was yelling at our son during the driving test and that is unacceptable. Also didn’t teach proper parallel parking techniques.

Fantastic experience: We used Western for our twins driving training, instruction and test. Abdullah was a wonderful, patient, organized and caring instructor. He gave the kids confidence and honed in on the requirements to be a safe driver by providing the feedback needed to be successful. Can’t recommend Abdullah enough, ask for him! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for all your time and commitment to the kids.

Fantastic experience: I had great experience and success with Western Driving Academy. My in person instructor was amazing too. If you want an amazing instructor who really wants you to pass, who is clear and concise, and friendly then Usman Hayee is your man. Was very helpful and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: Basil was my instructor and he is really good at teaching me how to drive and I got my G2 from it, this is a really good driving school.

Fantastic experience: Ayman with Western driving is fantastic! Past my G today with flying colours. He does a great mock test with you and points out exactly what to work on for your final test, along with great tips and tricks! He is very calm and friendly which definitely helps too!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience with the drivers here. The one driver that I liked moved out of the province. While I'm sure their drivers are knowledgeable, this was not the school for me as an anxious driver.

Fantastic experience: I took a course here and passed my test on the first try. My instructor Zig was helpful, accommodating and professional. Good choice for anxious drivers.

Fantastic experience: I had Red as my driving instructor and thanks to him I passed my G1 exit road test first try, he was super friendly, calm and gave great advice, and he taught me good driving habits. Fantastic experience: I've had Zig as my instructor to prepare me for my G test (the receptionist who connected me to him was also very sweet and helpful!). Zig was not only very informative and flexible with me, he was also a pleasure to get to know during the in-car lessons! I highly recommend him and this service to prepare for any road tests or even just in getting more confidence on the road.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience. The online portion allows you to complete the course on your own time. My instructor was Red, he ensures you feel comfortable and confident in the car. Red and everyone else I spoke to were very kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time ever learning how to drive and my instructor red was so patient. I was nervous a little but he made me feel comfortable at all times. I made a couple of mistakes but he did not yell at me even once. he was so calm and super friendly. I drove around and felt confident driving with him. He gives amazing feedback and helps you understand your mistake. I honestly recommend red to everyone who is looking to learn how to drive becasue he is fun and amazing. i promise you will not be dissapponted. Thank you for an amazing first driving experience.

Fantastic experience: Western driving academy is amazing. The in class portion was very informative, interactive, and welcoming. The in car portion (my personal favourite) was a super great experience. My instructor was Red. He was very accommodating for appointments and wanted a time that was best for me. He was very relaxed, welcoming friendly, and made me feel super comfortable. He provides great advice when you make a mistake and also willingly gives a lot of advice for the driving test. He was so open to answer all of my questions and you can tell he cares for your success. I have also seen him work with new drivers and he does his job very well. Thanks friend!!!

Fantastic experience: I was able to pass my G test taking very few classes with the help of this academy. I would specially recommend choosing Rec as the driving instructor. He was constantly motivating me and was very helpful. If there is anyone I would recommend as an instructor, it would be him without a doubt. His advices and driving tips are worth mentioning! He knows what's best for you as a learner and will clearly tell you if you are ready to take the test or not. Had a great and comfortable experience especially as an international student. Fantastic experience: I am someone who already had a driver's license in another country but never actually sat behind the wheel in all 2 years I had it. I took 3 lessons with Red who helped me get over my anxiety and fear of driving, and pass my road test in less than a week's time! literally it took me 3 lessons only and a road test day. they are very friendly and help you by personalizing the advice to your actual needs and deficits. would recommend (Y)
