Bruno Driving School

Fantastic experience: My dad did his driving classes in the 1980's with Bruno and sent me their way when I needed to do my driving classes. I have had the most amazing experience with his son Frank. Unfortunately, i did my classes during COVID, but even with all the forced closures, they managed to make me finish the course in less than a year. With this school, I feel like I got a better understanding of driving and developped better reflexes than many of my friends that went to other schools. This year, I sent one of my friends and my sister to take their classes at Bruno's and they also had a stellar experience and passed their exams on the first try. This school does not only teach you how to pass the exam, they prepare you for the real road.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Franco is very patient and explains everything you need before taking your exam. If you already have driving experience, I recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I began taking driving lessons, having held onto my learners permit, but not having practiced driving very much because I was anxious and it seemed dangerous. I bought 'extra lessons' with Bruno driving school, one hour at a time. I explained right away that I needed extra support, cause I was very nervous to drive. Week by week we did our lessons for about 3 months. I took my lessons in the evening after work with the owner Franco. He was amazing at reducing my tension and helping me focus. We had a lot of laughs in the car and I improved a lot. Franco encouraged me to keep my test date and prioritized my lessons in his agenda as the test day approached. Even as nervous as I was, he taught me well, and I passed the practical test on my first try. I recommend this driving school to anyone, but especially to those who are nervous about driving and who have difficulty with the prospect of taking the test. Be open about your stress and concerns. This team is very well trained, supportive, and accommodating. Good luck!

Fantastic experience: Frank is honestly the best. My entire family got their license from him and his father honestly most impeccable school, I went to another one before him and I cannot compare. He really cares about his students, not only does he teach you about the road but about the vehicle itself. There’s a lot I didn’t know before I came to him. He really gave me the knowledge. He cares a lot and it’s a passion of his. I recommend this school to everyone he’s the best in mtl.

Fantastic experience: Franco is a great teacher, and instills confidence. He gives good tips and tricks, and he knows when you’re ready for the test. Booking an in-car time slot with him can be a real problem unless you book far enough ahead though. His son, Bruno, is also very friendly and will help you book appointments with the SAAQ. Overall I highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I had my permit for 10 years and never drove. Franco helped me build confidence with a few classes. He is extremely calm and friendly, which is appeasing and exactly what I needed.

Negative experience: Les cours pratiques laissent à désirer : souvent au téléphone durant les cours, arrive presque tous le temps en retard et ne donne pas de bonnes explications sur la route. À moins que vous soyez relax là-dessus, je ne recommande pas.

Negative experience: Two days ago in Laval, my wife and I were driving when we noticed a car exceeding the speed limit on St. Martin blvd. When we pulled up to the car at the red light, I also saw the driver looking at his cell phone. To make matters worse, it was a Driving School car with the logo 'Ecole de Conduite Bruno' with their phone number. Terrible example of defensive driving and non respect for the law.(CSR). The driver was an older male, white with thick glasses, wearing a red and blue winter hat driving a four door light gray sedan (maybe a toyota corolla.) If this is any example of how their employees drive their company car, perhaps this person was an instructor, I would not enroll in their school.... ever!

Fantastic experience: I had gone to Bruno Driving School many years ago and I passed with no issue,I found the staff friendly and they know how to teach some one who has no driving experience. I highly recommend them they are great and I will be back with my son this summer.

Fantastic experience: Très satisfait de mon expérience avec cette école de conduite. J'avais eu beaucoup de difficulté à progresser avec mon ancienne école car je n'avais pas d'accompagnateur régulier pour pratiquer...J'ai donc pris 6 heures de cours supplémentaires avec Franco avant de passer mon examen la 2e fois. Il m'a amené près de la SAAQ à Henri-Bourassa pour me familiariser avec le secteur. Franco est très sympathique et sait comment nous donner de la confiance

Franco, le fils de Bruno, m'a aidé à obtenir mon permis de conduire en moins de deux mois alors que j'avais très, très peu d'expérience sur la route. Il sait lorsque ses élèves sont prêts à passer leur exam de conduite et il rend les leçon agréables, c'est un bon coach. J'ai passé mon examen de conduite au premier essai malgré le fait que c'était un vendredi 13! Je recommande fortement cette école de conduite à famille et amis. A family-owned and operated driving school that's been around since the 60s. Franco (Bruno's son) helped me get my driver's licence in less than two months and I had very little previous driving experience. He knows when his student is ready and makes driving easy-going, he's a good coach. I passed my driving test on the first try and it was a Friday the 13th! I highly recommend this driving school to friends and family.
