Fantastic experience: Awesome instructors!

Negative experience: This school just goes through the motions. Vehicles are old and not up to date with safety standards that newer vehicles come with. They actually don't teach your child to drive. Lots of straight driving and below the speed limit. They get you to back up once and doesn't matter if you did it correctly it's back to straight driving. Also don't expect any certificate or proof that the course was completed. They won't send you anything.

Fantastic experience: I passed my G full test on the first try I am very grateful to my best instructor San! He taught me thoroughly during my driving lessons. Sun was very patient and calm, attentive and competent which made for a great learning environment. San is a great professional.

Fantastic experience: I passed my G test in first try. Deeba was my instructor and is very patient and calm throughout the lesson and is very honest which is very helpful. I highly recommend A1 Academy of Driving.

Fantastic experience: I had failed my g road test a number of times and have taken 20 years to get my license. San helped me overcome my anxiety, focus on the primary tasks to complete in the test and gave me the confidence I desperately needed! He made sure I knew all of the course and I finally did it! I'll probably be back when I'm 80 so I can pass that test too!

Fantastic experience: I'm never been driving since I came to Canada but after doing 30 hours online course and 10 hours in-car, I'm easily passed G2 test on my first try . Thanks to San , one of the greatest instructor

Negative experience: Pretty disappointed in this place. I signed up for the 2 weekend driving school program and came in on my first day today, only to be told that I was the only person who showed up out of those who registered and that my classes were all cancelled because he can't teach just one person due to company policy. The man was nice enough but just keep this in mind if you're trying to find some place reliable, this place doesn't seem to be it.

Positive experience: I didn't have a great experience with my first driver instructor Amir. My driving hours were always cut short and also didn't make me feel comfortable driving so I felt hopeless on continuing to get my license. I waited a few months and finally contacted A1 to ask for a new instructor and got Zan. I was so pleased with him and his ability to teach me how to drive just under 5 hours of lessons and passed my G2. He has a way to make you feel like you are an experienced driver. Highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: Passed my G2 on first try. After the free 10 hours that was provided after lecture. I booked another 7 hours with car package and another 6 hours, 3 days before G2 Test to refresh my mind. Instructor I had was great. Lecture portion is great as well.

Fantastic experience: My experience at this school was fantastic. The instructor by the name of Naeem was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the rules on the road, taught me so much and was never afraid to crack a joke in class. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience learning at their facility, in the in-class lessons, they taught me many of ways new drivers fail the G2 and how to improve that, as well good and safe driving practices. The in-class instructor is very transparent and straight to the point, and is very good at explaining rules, regulations, warning, and tips!

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with my experience here! And I do not recommend this driving school to anyone, because of my experience here I failed my G2 three times. I don’t really understand much Of the road rules here in Canada, but it doesn’t take a idiot to know that you can not go through a red light. My driver instructor made me go through the red light couple times, due to the fact that she had to use the washroom or because she was hungry and felt she was gonna die! I was also very upset as well because she left her wallet, that’s poor because she’s teaching me how to drive without a license also she made me pay for her meal, luckily I was able to use my staff discount. This is completely a freak show! And I’m disappointed :( I don’t usually post about how I feel but this behaviour is unacceptable! Do better :)

Negative experience: Horrible reviews I've heard from here. Totally unprofessional, always cheat you out of hours. They arrive late, leave early, make you drive them places for breaks. Any good reviews you see here on google are definitely fake. Save yourself the trouble, I don't usually even write google reviews but trust, im doing the world a favour here. :)

Fantastic experience: staff was knowledgeable. very friendly and and professional. I would refer to family and friends for sure

Negative experience: I saw a brown women driver alone texting through the traffic light near Wal-Mart and fennel not long ago, good example dummy My experience there was ridiculously horrible, first the classes were taught by some arrogant civic driving guy that only talked about his dumb car.. next they call foe directions to my house which is literally 3 turns from the upper james location, he says he can't find it on Google, I say go down upper james turn at said light and turn right at next said stop sign. I can't find it on google... really man.. tell him five more times he argues I argue why can't you take simple instructions I'm down the street and you're supposed to teach meee how to drive?? In the end the brown people working here are absolute idiots that don't comprehend our driving laws nor basic navigation and life skills.. I wasted some money and got 300 something back.. and now wasted my time on this review don't waste yours..

Fantastic experience: Good instructors that will teach you how to complete all driving maneuvers and will also help/clearly explain on how you can do better and what you were doing wrong. Instructor was also very reasonable about canceling lessons without giving me a hard time.

Fantastic experience: I took the academy's on the road course and can say my instructor Deeba was very patient, knowledgeable and understanding. This helped me to overcome my driving anxiety and gain confidence on the road.Through her helpful tips and lessons on how to drive safely, I was able to get my G2 in my first attempt! I would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. Every penny worth it. the On-road One on one training suits someone like me who is nervous. Calm and knowledgeable instructors both in-class and on-road.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I called back since the manager told me to call back in January for a new instructor. I was told I had to pay over $200. I paid $430 for nothing and now you want more money?! Guys please don’t go here they keep trying to suck more money out of me and I got nothing out of it. If I could give 0 stars I would. In-class lessons were fine, on road lessons were non-existent because of the fact that my driving instructor was always busy. I emailed three times to have an alternative instructor. I booked on a Monday thinking I had no class but I did. I told the driving instructor a couple hours in advance (my mistake I should of have 24 hours) but I didn’t know! When I called the owner he verbally abused me and was yelling. I get that I didn’t give hours in advance but canceling on short notice isn’t unheard of. I want my money back! The customer service was completely unacceptable. I’m a college student with a busy college schedule, their company is based on young drivers but doesn’t accommodate?! I called them myself trying to be direct and all I got was ignorance, disrespectful customer service. I would not recommend this place... very unprofessional, rude and the cheap price IS NOT worth it, spending a little more and going to young drivers of Canada is Better because at least their Better Business Bureau approved and insured.

Fantastic experience: My in-class and on-road instructors were both great. I was instructed at the location on concession but decided to review here after seeing how low the rating was (which does not reflect the quality of the school). My instructor was very informative and helped me improve on my weak points of driving. Very glad to have attended this school and would not have passed my driving test without it.

Fantastic experience: Took the full course, the in class and on road teacher where great. Highly recommend this school.

Negative experience: My instructor spent all of his time on the cell phone during my lessons He didn't teach how to park well and the rest of his instructions were very basic. I ended up failing my test because I hadn't learned what I needed to pass. I do not recommend this school.
